RATING 4.5 STARS

Crazy about a Cowboy is book three in the Tying the Knot in Texas series by Dylann Crush. This is my very first book by Dylann. It can definitely be read as a stand alone as I have not read any of the previous books. I didn’t realize going in that this book would be so much fun. I think I smiled most of the way through it. I fell in love with this quirky little town of Ido, Texas.

Delilah Stone is twenty five years old and is the reigning Miss Lovin’ Texas. Her final duty before she puts away her sash is to visit three towns and spend thirty days in each town. All three are the finalists for the most romantic small town in Texas. She’s on her final stop, Ido, Texas. After she finishes her month in Ido, and names the winner, she’s done with pageant life.

Jasper Taylor grew up in Ido. He lives and works on his family’s pecan farm but the orchard was severely damaged in a recent tornado. Jasper has other ideas of ways the family can save their ranch while they replant the orchard but his father is not very accepting to change. And Jasper’s idea fully hinges on their town winning this competition. The mayor appoints Jasper hospitality host to their visitor, something he doesn’t have time for and has no idea how to do. But one look at Miss Lovin’ Texas and suddenly Jasper might just have a different opinion!

“Something in her recognized something in him, and she was drawn to the man.”

We’ll just say that Jasper and Delilah got off to a rough start. But that spark was definitely there, that zing that says, this person might be someone important to you. Jasper and Delilah had more in common than either of them could have imagined. They both felt responsibility to their family, both tended to try to be the protector, the caregiver. Delilah was an only child and Jasper’s family was huge so she also got to get a taste of what it felt like to be a part of a large family, something she always dreamed of.

But not everything goes smoothly in Ido. It seems someone might not be as pleased as everyone else that she’s there. And Jasper is keeping a secret, both from Delilah and from his family.

“I think you’re gorgeous just the way you are. Right here. Right now. With me.”

This book was just so wonderful. It was fun, sexy, sweet and even a little bit suspenseful. I absolutely loved the ending. Jasper’s family was close knit, they had each other’s backs and I loved the way they all came together. And I loved the way they just excepted Delilah into their fold!

I’m so glad I got the chance to read this and will definitely be checking out more of Dylann’s work. But for now, I absolutely loved my visit to Ido, Texas and thoroughly enjoyed meeting all it’s residents!

Jasper Taylor is in a bind. The farm that’s been in his family for generations has lost most of their pecan orchard when a twister swept through leaving them with a fraction of pecans to sell. With his town of Ido becoming a premier wedding destination Jasper wants to fix up the old barn and make it a rustic wedding/event venue to make ends meet. Ido winning “Most Romantic Small Town in Texas” would help guarantee success, which is why he agrees to become hospitality host to the judge: Miss Lovin’ Texas, Delilah Stone.

Beauty queen, Delilah Stone has just thirty more days until she can hang up her pageant career for good and focus instead on the projects close to her heart: Helping empower girls with confidence through classes and mentoring. First, she must get through staying in Ido, and they don’t seem to stand much of a chance in the competition. However, as Delilah gets to know the people and tours all the attractions they’ve set up, the more she warms up to it. A big part of that is the sexy farmer showing her around: Jasper Taylor, not to mention his family. The Jasper family and the townsfolk of Ido resurrect her childhood longing to part of a bigger family.

All the romantic events Jasper and Delilah embark on make it impossible to ignore the instant attraction they feel for each other. “The farmer’s son and the beauty queen” sounds like an opposites-attract romance, but Jasper and Delilah basically wanted the same thing: to belong. A relationship between Jasper and Delilah is a little inconvenient since they don’t want any hint of impropriety for the contest, but it wasn’t a big source of conflict. There was also someone trying to sabotage Ido in the contest and a bit of drama surrounding that, but mostly this was just a sweet, feel good romance!

I’m so glad I didn’t give up on this series. Crazy About a Cowboy is a sweet opposite attracts book that had me cheering for Delilah and Jasper.

I did laugh out loud a few times in this, especially the meet cute between the two main characters. Delilah and Jasper continued on a not quite friends path that quickly morphed into more. I enjoyed watching them both fall for the other.

Like the others in the series this book takes place in Ido, Texas. I think the author found her groove with this book. It was filled with quirky characters and a out of this world storyline but the author makes it work. It was the perfect balance of both.

This is the third book in Dylann Crush’s Tying the Knot Series but the first one I have read.

Delilah's more than just a pretty beauty queen and Jasper's more than just a country cowboy. When Jasper is appointed the role of showing Delilah - the reigning Ms. Lovin' Texas - around his small town of Ido in hopes of her awarding it the title of Most Romantic town in Texas... neither of them expect to fall in love along the way. But it's not as easy as that as Jasper needs to figure out what's more important, for his town to win the title or for him the win the heart of Delilah.

The cover of this book was the first thing that attracted me to it - it's such a beautiful cover isn't it?! The story was a pretty unique story for me too and overall I enjoyed the story. The characters were appealing and the chemistry between the two main characters was definitely there - it's a love story with quite a bit of steam too. I do however think there were moments when the story tried to make small events and actions of the characters more dramatic than they really were. Small things were made into bigger deals than I think was realistic. So for me there were a few plot flaws but there were also some really great moments in this story too (spoiler: the star gazing scene, the mud scene, the award show scene). All in all - it was a sweet small town romance with some very memorable moments.

At 25, Delilah Stone is ready to retired from pageant life but she have one last thing to do before and her last stop is in Ido so she can decide who will win the title of most romantic small town in Texas. Jasper Taylor work at his family pecan orchard farm. So why did the mayor asked him to be the town hospitality host for the contest? And Murphy's Law seem to be at it ever since Delilah arrived in Ido. But there's enough sparks between her and Jasper to light up the whole town! Heart, Heat and Hilarious moments is what you can expect when you open a Dylann Crush's book and this one delivered plenty of it.

Sometimes you find yourself in the middle of nowhere and sometimes in the middle of nowhere, you find yourself...

Ido, Texas is a special place where friends and family mean everything to the people who live there. This is the very reason why Jasper Taylor agrees to host Delilah Stone, Miss Lovin' Texas around the town. She is there to judge a total of 3 towns and choose the one that is the most romantic. Jasper and his family lost a substantial amount of Pecan trees to a twister. If the town wins, it would bring extra business to the town.

Delilah Stone has entered beauty contests since she was a girl. She did it mostly to make her mother happy. Delilah has her own dreams and she is honestly getting tired of it all. She needed to come away from being under her mother's wing and carry out what she longed for to do in the future. When Jasper and Delilah meet, they are instantly attracted to each other. But they had to be careful of their feelings, it could jeopardize Ido's chances of winning.

I can always count on Dylann Crush to have me laughing out loud with her bizarre but loving characters in this town. She always manages to squeeze in a few unique animals here and there. This is what makes this town and this story funny and romantic. It will definitely put a smile on your face.

Well I have read all of the books in the Tying the Knot in Texas series and this was my favorite so far! Jasper Taylor is another one of our unlucky in love Ido, Texas cowboys and now he also has problems with his family's farm to add to his list. The best answer to their needs may be to join the town's vision of becoming the wedding destination of Texas and in order to do that he needs to help the mayor entertain Miss Lovin' Texas and help the town secure a win. Delilah Stone is on the last leg of her most romantic town in Texas competition and is looking forward to heading home to Dallas and moving forward with her life and her passion of helping empower young girls. She is a real sweetheart and as the story unfolds, Delilah starts to fall in love with this small quirky Texas town and it's residents. Jasper is focused on helping his family but he can't help but fall head over boots for this sweet Texas pageant queen too! I really enjoyed Jasper's family and the depth that they added to this story as well as Delilah and her passion for her work. This was such an enjoyable, sweet story that was told from dual POV and has just a bit of heat and a lot of laughter. I really hope that there are more stories to come.

This book had so much that held my heart. Small town, cowboys, rescue dogs, and romance!

Delilah is Miss Lovin' Texas and has been tasked with finding the "most romantic small town in Texas".

Jasper and his family pecan farm was devastated by a tornado that took out a bunch of their crop. To win the title of most romantic town would help them turn their barn into a wedding venue and bring them some more profit.

Jasper is reluctant to play host to this beauty queen until he lays eyes on her and decides it won't be so bad after all!

This story is really sweet. I love Jasper's family so much. I love that there is a pitbull rescue in town that helps poor dogs from dog fighting rings become gentle. I love the plans that Delilah has to help young girls- that first starts as how to be in pageants to become something so much more worthwhile!

Note: This review is for an ARC and is my unbiased opinion.

Crazy About a Cowboy is the first book I have read by Dylann Crush. I was a little worried going in about it being written in third person since that's not my favorite, but it didn't bother me at all. Dylann Crush is a talented writer whose words flow well and story captures you.

I truly enjoyed Crazy About a Cowboy. If I am going to read about a debutant, Delilah Stone is the kind I want. She wasn't a snobby person. Underneath all her poise was a nice woman who wanted to do good. I loved how she was starting to deal with her momager. Pecan farmer Jasper Taylor being thrown in as her town hospitality host was was so fun and perfect. He was such a great person and family member. They had so much fun together and the way their relationship progressed felt natural. I simply loved them together.

One of the fun things about this book were the side characters. And I do mean characters. Jasper's aunt was a favorite as was the burger joint owner. I also really liked the characters I've learned are from the first two books in this series. Reading about them made me want to go back and read those first two books.

There were a couple of things that sat at the back of my mind while reading this book and kept me from giving it five stars.  One was that some times I felt confused after finishing a chapter and starting a new one. A chapter would end with me being curious what would happen next, but then there would be a tiny time jump and I wouldn't find out what happened after the last scene. There was a particularly memorable one surrounding Delilah almost getting caught in Jasper's house that I desperately wanted to know about. The second thing that bugged me a bit was that there was the lack of drama regarding who won the contest and how it related to the couple. It wasn't a huge deal, just surprised me because I thought things were headed a certain way.

Overall, Crazy About a Cowboy was a great read and introduction to Dylann Crush's books. It was an entertaining story that made me laugh, smile, and fall in love with the characters and town of Ido.

Dylann Crush’s third book, Crazy About a Cowboy, in the Tying the Knot in Texas series has what its predecessors had...the perfect mixture of romance, tension, anticipation, and a smattering of anxiety...all crafted together to keep the pages turning. With characters who are so well defined and believable that their individual personalities nearly jump off the pages. Jasper and Delilah are a couple who are relatable in how through the course of the journey towards a HEA they encounter a twisting and turning path...with its pitfalls, but even better with all the joys a new relationship has to offer. So far of the three books in the series, this is my favorite by far.

This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

Crazy About a Cowboy puts together two dreams come true in an action packed romantic comedy featuring Delilah, the reigning "Miss Lovin Texas" who gets to visit a few select towns in Texas to judge which town is the most romantic.

Enter in our cowboy, from stage left... that would be Mr. Jasper Taylor who agrees sort of to host Delilah and show her how romantic their little town really is. So what happens when you put the two of these delightful people together? Sparks right after a whole lot of water straight from a firehouse and all over the lovely Delilah. Love the chemistry!!! Also really love the fact that both Jasper and Delilah have journeys, growth to do as they get to know each other...and they are good influences on each other as well!

Fun and spicy characters: We need a book for Delilah's mom and Jasper's Aunt...plus Hemit the guy who owns the burger stand. So many fun characters all with stories of their own. I definitely want to dive into the other books by Dylann Crush!!!

Thank you to NetGalley, author Dylann Crush, and Berkley Publishing Group for this temporary advance review copy for me to read and enjoy.

3.5-4/5 I needed a good romance to pull me out of a reading slump and this book surely did the trick. Cliches abound from page to page but let's be honest, that is exactly why we are reading this in the first place. Jasper and Delilah make me happy on the inside. From the mishap at their first meeting to watching them fall in love, I enjoyed their banter.

The dual POV is always a plus because mutual pining gets me going every time. Give me a book where he wants her just as much as she wants him and not just physically. I will say the cliches did get a little heavy handed as we headed into the fourth quarter miscommunication you know every romance must have. I found myself exasperated with Delilah and her thought process especially knowing what she did nor know. Situational irony can be rough.

In the end, this book had all the things I look for in a romance even if it got a little heavy handed at parts. I would pick up more books from this author.

Thank you #PenguinRandomHouse for the e-ARC. I Fanny wait to celebrate release day on May 25, 2021. #NetGalley #CrazyAboutACowboy

Every year my family and I attend the St Paul Rodeo for the 4th of July here in Oregon and every year after the rodeo I am dying for a cowboy romance! So this was the year that I was like ‘OK I need to read one’ and I reached for the closest cowboy romance I could find. I did a special feature on this book when it was first released and I thought—why not start reading it now?!

I don’t know that this was the cowboy romance that I was hoping for but it was sweet and a quick, easy read for sure. I picked it up just before I hopped on the plane for Arizona and thought it would be a nice little bit of fluff reading and that’s exactly what it was—fluff. But not in a bad way! Sometimes I need fluff to get me through stressful situations like flying with a toddler and being stuck in an airport with said toddler for 7 hours with a delayed flight! This was just the book I needed once I got on the plane!

I haven’t read anything by Dylann Crush before and I thought this was a sweet book that made me want to read more by her, especially in this series. I actually ordered the other two books in this series after reading this one because as much as I wasn’t sure about it at times—by the end I was in love with the characters and the hokey town of Ido Texas!

So this book had all the cliches and hokey cheesiness that I didn’t know that I needed. Let’s hit the high points here—-the town of ‘Ido’ (like ‘I do’) Texas is having a romance/wedding competition—-really? And there is a beauty queen with the title of ‘Miss Lovin’ Texas’—–really? Full disclosure for the first chapter I was seriously questioning why I even picked this book up because it was that fluffy. But all hokey-ness aside, this book grew on me and before I knew it, I was dying for my own Jasper. Their chemistry was fantastic and I loved their ‘meet cute’. So adorable—and slightly cheesy too but I still thought it was cute. Before I knew it I was ordering the other books in the series—cheesy or not! This book was well written and heartwarming. I loved the characters and the story was just what I needed to read.

Though I could have gone for a little more heat in this one, it was on the less steamy side and more sweet which was fine but I was expecting a little more heat to be honest. Jasper and Delilah definitely had chemistry so more heat would most likely be expected from readers and in my opinion—welcome. I thought this book would have more of a cowboy feel, but in this book it felt more like Jasper (the cowboy in question) was more of a cowboy by default simply because he was living in Texas. I was thinking bull rider and I got more country boy than anything else. Ultimately it was fine, I still loved his character and enjoyed my time with the characters and the town of Ido.

This was such an unexpected read for me. It took me by surprise and while it wasn’t exactly what I was expecting in a book, it wasn’t bad at all. It was pure escapism and entertainment that was just what I needed to read. There is a happy ending and while predictable, it was charming and a relaxing read. If you love sweet romances with a little country flair then you need to read this book. And while it is part of a series you do not need to read the other books to enjoy this one (even though I am doing just that now!). I picked this one up and was perfectly fine though I am looking forward to returning to Ido and meeting some of the other characters and exploring their romances as well!

The reigning Miss Lovin' Texas and a celebrity judge, Delilah Stone, is on her third and last visit to spend a month in the small town of Ido in order to pick the most romantic town in Texas. The good folks of Ido need the publicity to promote their town as the ideal place for fancy weddings which would be a big boost to the local economy. Delilah is tired in more ways than one: of being a beauty pageant queen, of her pushy, demanding mother/manager. She is ready to move on with her life in ways that have more significance than all Delilah’s made-up heavy perfection. Local farmer Jasper Taylor is lassoed into be the hospitality host escorting Delilah around town and introducing her to the colorful inhabitants. Jasper is less than excited at the prospect although is quite immediately attracted to Delilah.

Jasper’s family pecan farm is facing ruin after a devastating storm took out most of their trees, threatening a generations old homestead. With his raucous brothers and young sister, Jasper is determined to protect their livelihood realizing that converting their barn to be a wedding venue could help save everything. Once Delilah hits town, things seem to go quickly awry in the rom-com kind of way. Delilah does her pageant queen best to keep a smile on her face despite all the mishaps and dirty tricks being played on her.

Not everyone is thrilled for all the attention the town would gain should they win the contest. A darker element exists in their rural area that includes some very serious animal abuse. Someone seems intent on sabotaging Ido’s chances to capture the romance crown. As they work together, Delilah and Jasper become more than just casual acquaintances which is not exactly a good thing since she is supposed to remain unbiased as a contest judge. Family drama for both Delilah and Jasper adds to the mix along with secrets revealed causing not a little amount of trouble.

Delilah and Jasper are likeable characters as well as the locals who are entertaining with some on the very eccentric side. Ms. Crush seems to be making salient points concerning beauty pageant pros and cons as well as some more sinister elements in rural Texas. This story is third in the series Tying the Knot in Texas series, but can be read as a standalone.

This is such a sweet romance between a beauty queen, Delilah Stone, and a cowboy, Jasper Taylor. Delilah is in the town of Ido, Texas ("I do") as part of a contest to judge the most romantic town in Texas. She is hoping that this will be the last of her beauty queen days and she can move onto different things. She just needs to get through the next 30 days in Ido.

Jasper is tasked with the role as her hospitality host and to show Delilah how romantic Ido actually is. He is instantly attracted to the beauty queen, but knows that he should keep his distance until after the 30 days. The heart doesn't always listen, though.

This is the third book in the Tying the Knot in Texas series. There is some backstory involved with Jasper's older brother that I am assuming was in the previous book(s). I wasn't sure what all happened, at first, but it didn't take away my enjoyment of Delilah and Jasper.

Thank you to Berkley Publishing, Berkley Romance and NetGalley for an advanced readers copy in exchange for my honest review.

I actually listened to a lot of this and the narrator, CJ Bloom, was wonderful. My only wish was that there could have been a male narrator, too, for Jasper's POV chapters.

In a contest for the most romantic town in Texas, a cowboy must choose between helping his hometown win or a chance with the celebrity judge.

Delilah is the celebrity beauty queen and Jasper is the small town cowboy. I found their love story to be unique and fun. I definitely saw the chemistry between the leading characters. Who doesn't love a small town, romantic cowboy? This was a sweet small town romance with a bit of steam!
This is the third in the series and my guess is that the supporting characters have their own stories. This was my first Dylann Crush novel so I haven't read the other books, however, I did not get lost in the book. I think you could read them out of order if you wanted or had to. I will be going back and reading the others in this series. It's worth the read and perfect for the summer!
Thank you to Berkley for this gifted ARC, loved this cowboy romance!

Dylann Crush's Tying the Knot in Texas series gets better and better with each book!

The small town of Ido, Texas is determined to win the title of most romantic town in Texas from the state tourism board. Jasper is appointed hospitality host and makes plans to show celebrity judge and current Ms. Lovin' Texas, Delilah around town. Things do not go smoothly, but there's a definite connection between them.

I really enjoyed the author's writing and storytelling style. There was a nice blend of humor, romance, and a little drama. She did a fantastic job creating interesting characters and a romance that's hard to put down. Jasper and Delilah are two of my favorite characters she's written.

This is book three in the series but it can be read as a standalone.

Listen up all y’all cowboy novel reading folks! This is such a cute novel- might as well go ahead and add it to your Summer TBR!

Delilah Stone is ready to put pageants behind her, but not before this one last stop in Ido, Texas. P.S. I read that as “I DO” not “I DOE”...anywho!

Delilah is in the midst of judging which little town is the most romantic, with Ido being the last stop. When she arrives, her life is literally rained on by Jasper, and it only gets more interesting from there.

Both Jasper and Delilah have to learn how to navigate life when the unexpected happens, and for both of them, the UNEXPECTED happens.

This was a quick little read and like I said, if you enjoy cowboy novels, and want a nice little beach read, grab this one.

This is the third book in the series, however I haven’t read the others and I didn’t have any issues reading this one not having read them. This was a quick and fun read with mild amount of steam.
Delilah is a pageant queen who is on the road going from small town to small town trying to find the most romantic town in the country. She lands in a tiny little town called Ido and meets Jasper, who has been assigned by the town to be her host. They get off on the wrong foot but over the course of her time in town they fall in love. Their banter was really funny and there were some obstacles in their path for them to overcome of course.
The supporting characters were great as well. I loved Abbey! She was fun and wise for her age and wanted Jasper and Delilah to get their happily ever after.
Overall, cute and fast read. Will be perfect for summer reading with a cool glass of lemonade.
Thanks to Penguin Random House and Netgalley for this Arc in exchange for my review.

Crazy About a Cowboy by Dylann Crush is the 3rd book in her Tying the Knot in Texas series. Crazy about a Cowboy was another fun read in this series, with a fabulous couple who were steamy together. Delilah Stone, is the current ‘Miss Lovin Texas”, who is in the middle of judging various small towns to choose the most romantic town. Delilah is on the last leg of this trip, planning to end her days as a pageant queen, moving on to a normal life, running her own business; but Delilah has to spend the last 30 days in the town of IDo.

Jasper Taylor has spent his whole life in IDo, helping his family with their successful pecan farm. But in the last storm, much of their crop was destroyed, which will take a couple of years to regrow. Jasper hopes to convince his father and brothers on his idea to change over the barn to have weddings, giving them enough money to help regenerate the farming.

Lacey (a previous heroine) is the mayor, and she is determined to win the contest of most romantic small town, and pushes Jasper to be the town’s hospitality host and show Delilah everything about the town. Jasper was a sweet, wonderful person, always looking out for his family and the town. Delilah was the surprise, as she was not the usual snobbish queen, but ultra-nice and friendly to everyone, not to mention beautiful. Jasper at first was somewhat shy, but soon their relationship went to fun friends, then to lovers. They made such a great couple, enjoying each other’s company, and sizzling chemistry. Will Delilah allow herself to fall in love with Jasper, and stay in IDo?

Delilah got to spend time with Jasper’s family, which were also fun; especially with the bantering between them all. There is an added element of a brother who left town awhile ago, due to doing something crooked, and Jasper has kept his secret, warning him to never come back; but to his dismay, that will change.

Crazy About a Cowboy was a fun, sweet, entertaining and charming small-town romance, with a great couple and wonderful secondary characters. Dylann Crush once again gives us a wonderful enjoyable story, that was very well written. The entire series of three book so far, reads very well as a standalone, but why miss the fun, start with the first book.

I'm always so happy to find newer to me authors that I really love. So far I've enjoyed every book I've read by Dylann Crush. Now don't get too excited, I've only read three. But as I said, I enjoyed them all.

Crazy About a Cowboy is book three in her Tying the Knot in Texas series. When I started it I wasn't sure how I'd like Delilah. She seemed to feel that being part of the pageant world was all a girl needed to become something in the world. I was a little unsure of her platform. I kinda tried to move on from that because that's not my world or my thing.

I really like Delilah and Jasper together. They worked so well together. It was almost like you could feel it come off the pages of the book.

Jasper is the sweetest guy in the world. He worries about everyone and can't help himself he feels the need to help everyone. He is so busy trying to protect his family that he allows them to almost be a little mean to him. They aren't a bad family and I really liked them but at the time their disappointment in him was making me mad.

I like Delilah but didn't care for her mother. She seems like the type of person who lives through her daughter's life and doesn't really care what her daughter wants to do in life. It's all about her. Now Delilah has a different idea of where her life should go once she's done with being Miss Lovin' Texas but I wasn't sure she'd be able to stand up to her mother and do it.

These two have to work out some business within their lives before they can move on but I knew they'd be about to do it. This is a wonderful romance between two people who really deserve it. I really can't wait to see what's next. The author introduced us to so many of Jasper's brothers who are all single by the way. I wonder...

Can a beauty queen and a handsome farmer really be a love match? Delilah and Jasper’s story does end in a happily ever after, though neither would have imagined it could happen after their disastrous first meeting. Delilah is in the town of Ido to discover if it is the most romantic small town in Texas. Ido is a last minute entry after the town nearby was disqualified. The mayor of Ido has decided that Jasper will be the hospitality host who will show Delilah around town, shepherd her events and generally make sure that she sees everything that makes Ido a romantic place to visit. Jasper has a lot at stake in the outcome of this contest. If his town should win, it will bring a lot more tourism and wedding business and really boost the local economy. Jasper’s idea to renovate a barn on the family’s pecan farm could help save the farm after losing much of the pecan orchard in a recent storm. While Jasper is definitely motivated, he is not at all experienced in being a host and guide, and his first attempts leave poor Delilah worse for wear. Staying in Ido for a month seems impossibly tortuous for Delilah at first, then her host Jasper, his large family and the people of Ido find their way into her heart. While she and Jasper have their mishaps at first, spending time is not the chore she thought it would be, even when they must deal with acts of sabotage, family troubles and matchmaking. When they finally give in to their mutual attraction and desire, discretion is the key to keeping the mayor and Delilah’s sponsors from discovering their trysts. But her time in Ido is temporary, and someone or a group of people does not want Ido to win the contest or Jasper and Delilah to be together. What happens next for Delilah and Jasper?

Jasper Taylor's farm is in trouble. After a twister tore through Ido, Texas, and his farm, he lost many pecan trees. Growing new pecan trees will take many years, and in the meantime, how is Jasper's farm going to stay afloat? Jasper has an idea, but in order to make that idea into reality, Ido has to be dubbed Texas's most romantic town by the reigning Miss Lovin' Texas, Delilah Stone. Delilah's judging Ido and two other towns in the competition, spending thirty days in each town before deciding the winner. Jasper's ready to impress Delilah with all that Ido has to offer, and Delilah's happy that this will be her last gig as a pageant girl. Yet, not everyone in Ido wants the town in the spotlight, and just as Jasper and Delilah start getting to know each other, everything starts going wrong. Jasper may soon have to choose between what's best for his town and farm, and what's best for his heart.

I thought this was a cute, sweet story! A small-town cowboy wants to save his farm, but feels like there might be something more when he lays eyes on the dazzling Delilah? Who doesn't like an organic romance emerging from a bit of crisis and the beauty of a small town? I really liked the vibe that Ido had going on, and how Jasper's larger family accepted and brought Delilah into the fold during her stay in Ido. Delilah wants out of the pageant game because she wants more in life, and I'm all about that! I don't want to give much more away, so let's just say there are some people and events that try to pull these two apart, and hard decisions must be made. Crazy about a Cowboy is a sweet summer read, perfect for readers who want a little sweetness, a little sun, and a little farm in their life. Recommended for the romantically inclined.

Crazy About a Cowboy is the third book in Dylann Crush's Tying the Knot in Texas series. I read this as a stand alone.

I appreciated that "Miss Lovin Texas", Delilah Stone, was kind-hearted and genuinely a nice person. I thought the idea of having Delilah travel from town to town to determine what small Texan town is the most romantic was cute. Jasper Taylor was a pecan farmer that ended up showing Delilah around the third small town in the running. I loved that Jasper was close to his family and was trying his best to help them keep their livelihood. I appreciated how Jasper seemed to bring out the best in Delilah and she did the same for him.

I enjoyed having dual POV but I did feel as though the chapters jumped forward a little bit. One scene in particular stands out to me where Delilah ran into the woods while at Jaspers house and it was just never mentioned again.

I loved Jasper's family so much, I want all of his siblings to have their own stories. I also liked seeing some of the couples from the first two books.

This was a quick, small-town romance, that is full of banter and falling in love.

Sweet, fun small-town romance…

Jasper and Delilah were such a great couple! From their not so smooth first meet up, all through the ups and downs they faced, they belonged…

What does a beauty pageant do when she has to spend a month in a small town in Texas? She judges them on their ability to be romantic of course. From crickets to butterflies, to rogue goats and rescue pitties, there was no shortage of wildlife – be it four our two-legged! There were quirky characters and wild goings on that fit perfectly in this low-heat, surprising drama-filled story. And the drama was not over the top, roll the eyes kind either. It was so quiet, it all snuck up on me, as it played out in one sub-plot after another. And through it all was Jasper and Delilah at the center. Fun, down-to-earth people, they seemed to fit just perfectly together. If they could get through all the twists and turns in Ido, of course! Oh, and do I mention that I didn’t catch on the time until I sat down to write this? :-)

I didn’t realize this was the third in the series but it was a good stand-alone read. Well, except for the fact I need to read the backlist. Pronto!

I was entranced by this small-town romance. The quirky and loveable townspeople invited me to move right in and stay, making the perfect backdrop to the romance between Jasper and Delilah. All the characters were well developed, and the relationships seemed effortless. Jasper and Delilah were instantly relatable and made me yearn for their happily-ever-after. Yes, they both made mistakes that had me groaning, but that just made them seem real. I loved watching their romance grow.

This is a fun romance with enough drama to keep it interesting. I would love to read more about Jasper’s family, and I know some of those townspeople have their own fun stories to tell. I will admit I was worried the whole “Miss Lovin’ Texas on a tour to find the most romantic town in Texas” would become too corny – but it worked out wonderfully. This is a lovely summer read.

Thank you to Berkley Publishing for the advanced copy. All opinions are my own.

Delilah Stone, reigning Miss Lovin' Texas, is fulfilling her final duty with the crown by visiting Ido, Texas. This small town is the last stop in the state's tourism board's search for the most romantic town in Texas. Once she arrives, she meets hunky cowboy, Jasper Taylor, who has been put in charge of her month-long visit. The town is recovering from a tornado that heavily damage Jasper's family farm. Jasper is determined to show Delilah the best parts of Ido while Delilah is looking forward to life after the crown. What the two don't count on is sparks flying and an attraction that neither can deny.

This is a sweet, small town romance. While a tad predictable at times, I loved Jasper and how adorable he was. There are good twists to the plot and I loved how welcoming the entire town was of Delilah. This is part of a series, but I did read it as a standalone and don't feel like I lost anything by not reading the other books.

Crazy About a Cowboy. It's pretty easy to be crazy about Jasper. He's just an all-around good guy, and wonder of wonders, his love interest is a beauty queen. Except Delilah doesn't fall into the stereotypical role, which is one of my favorite things about this charming small-town romance. Speaking of small towns, the town of Ido, Texas is full of charm in its own right. It's practically a character all by itself. This is the third book in the Tying the Knot in Texas series, and it can be read as a standalone. That said, once you've met the many quirky personalities that make up this world created by Dylann Crush, you'll want to know more about them. The story is witty and fun, and the characters are engaging. There is, of course, that bit of angst - you know, that pivotal moment we all expect - but it's not overly dramatic. The thing that brings about that drama is disturbing, but it's handled in a way that keeps it from being too heavy. So, the story is pretty lighthearted for the most part, and once started, it's hard to put down.

This book was so fun to read. It was sweet. It had romantic moments. It had a bit of steam. It had a little suspense. I loved the small town setting. Loved the forced proximity trope that was playing out. Loved how Jasper, and the town, showed Delilah all of these amazing things. Loved how the town came together when there was work to be done. And I really loved how things played out at the ceremony to announce the winner. I wasn't as fond of the side story with Colin Taylor, but I understand why it was there. Also, Stella was a bit much and in my mind Delilah really needed to tell her to back off. All in all though, I loved the book. I really want to go back and read the first two books in the series.

If small towns, cowboys, pageant queens, forced proximity, family drama, and contests are things you're interested in, then you'll definitely want to grab Crazy About A Cowboy.
