An Extraordinary Journey: The Memoirs of a Physical Medium

Rate this book
REVISED AND UPDATED EDITION In the little known and controversial world of physical mediumship, Stewart Alexander is probably the least controversial and most respected among his peers and skeptics alike. His abilities - including extraordinary physical phenomena, evidence from loved ones, and book tests – have been experienced and tested by countless people for more than forty years. What started out as a curiosity through reading and study more than fifty years ago became his life’s work – a life of patience, perseverance and service to the living and to the Spirit world, as he gradually overcame his own doubt and developed the ability to join the two worlds together. “An Extraordinary Journey” is personal and moving – yet it's more than a memoir – it’s a spiritual guide, a history of Spiritualism and it includes a plethora of sitter’s first hand experiences – often wondrous, sometimes deeply emotional, but never dull. Through Stewart’s mediumship, the bereaved are connected with their deceased loved ones, which demonstrates the likelihood that consciousness survives physical death. * * * * * “Reading An Extraordinary Journey, one cannot fail to come to an awareness that there is another level to reality. This book is an inspiration and a joy.” ~ Whitley Strieber, author of "Communion" and "The Afterlife Revolution." “… a "must read" for anybody interested in the subject of physical mediumship. A true servant of the Spirit. It has been an honour knowing Stewart”. ~ Anthony Harris - Buddhist practitioner and grandson of the legendary physical medium, Alec Harris. This book contains an unbelievable story, told with all sincerity and care, and witnessed by multiple individuals who add their own testimony. I have been fortunate to have personally witnessed many examples of both macro-psychokinesis and spiritualistic manifestations. ~ Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, Host and Producer, New Thinking Allowed YouTube channel. There are few, if any, individuals today who possess such a high standard of physical mediumship as Stewart Alexander. … This unique book forms a fascinating record of his remarkable partnership with the Spirit World. ~ Eric Hatton, former Honorary President, Spiritualists’ National Union. Historians and humanists like to imagine that physical mediums like Stewart Alexander—individuals who manifest dramatic physical and materializing effects around their altered states of mind and body—are little more than Victorian legends or malformed memories, anything really other than what they actually appear to people, human beings. Or superhuman beings. Alas, we generally like our people banal and boring. And we certainly like our superhumans long gone and dead, so we can pretend that they really could not do these things. Turns out they could, and that even death is not so simple. ~ Jeffrey Kripal, Associate Dean of the Humanities, Rice University; author of "Authors of the The Paranormal and the Sacred."

Amazing world of physical mediumship opens

Stewart Alexander’s book share ‘shis journey in speaking and ‘seeing’ the ‘other side.’ I am truly grateful to Stewart for confirming my beliefs that this life is not the end, but only a beginning! A great read that offers examples of mediums and their seance room activities for the last 150 years. Incredible events that are often hard to believe, but are confirmed time after time.
