One of the nation's foremost matchmakers offers women practical advice on how to find and marry the men of their dreams, with dozens of suggestions on how meet eligible men, how to make great first impressions, the fine art of dating, how to attract men and avoid dating mistakes, and how to get men to commit to marriage. Original.
One of my housemates loaned this book to me, and I think she did so only half-jokingly. Written by a matchmaker/advice columnist, this slim volume is a somewhat interesting little mishmash of suggestions, techniques, and admonitions. Much of the advice boils down to "strive to improve yourself for your own sake and learn to be comfortable in your own skin," which I think is pretty sound, and she provides some practical ideas for achieving this, though it's mostly common sense. But then some things strike me as downright silly. For example, #2 on the list of "31 Ways to Meet Terrific Men" is this little gem: "Practice recycling. Trade your old beaus with your friends." Seriously??
Wonderful book that gives tips on working on yourself ex: what do you want for yourself, what are your best qualities; and what you are looking for in that special someone. Has some common sense, and interesting tips in this quick read. The author comes across as a good friend with good advise.
This book offers great, simple, down to earth advice about finding the man of your dreams. It has empowered several women I know to get back out there and find true love!
