ALL MY REVIEWS CAN BE FOUND ON MY BLOG: ABSTRACT BOOKS
This bundle of books absolutely took a place in my top reads! I am still shocked that my dumbass missed this series , but am so lucky to read it now! All four books were amazing and the banter in them had me laughing and swooning so bad.
The first book is CONFESSIONS OF A BAD BOY , which is the story of Nate and Jessie. This book was off the charts hot and absolutely funny too! This was a classic best friend's little sister romance and so cute as hell. The storyline was good and I loved the main couple so much! Nate is the womanizer and Jessie is the beauty who will bring him to his knees.
The second book of the series is TEMPTATION, Which is the story of Wyatt and Melina. The storyline was good and it was a contemporary romance. Wyatt and Melina have known each other for a long time and have always had an underlying connection but never acted on it. Now after years Wyatt is back and maybe it is time to act on that underlying connection.
The third book of the series is UNPROFESSIONAL , which is the story of Owen and Margo. But of them are acquaintances and work together. They have never acted on their chemistry and have always maintained a safe distance from each other. That is until they mess it all up. Now it is upto them to decide about what to do further and to whether to continue this relationship or not.
The fourth book of this series is LOVE INK. , Which is the story of Teo and Ash. Ash is really excited to get her new tattoo. Things turn complicated when her tattoo artist is the man , wet dreams are made up of. Teo catches her eye and makes her nervous at the same time. Now they have to spend hours together until the tattoo is done which involves lots of touching and talking too. Things are surely complicated.
Overall this series was amazing and I was left yearning for more by the end. A definite recommendation to all the contemporary romance lovers out there!!

Temptation
I absolutely adored reading Temptation by J.D. Hawkins. A friends-to-lovers romance with all the right kind of feels. Friends for as long as they can remember, can Wyatt show Melina what they can have together? And is Wyatt ready for more?
After living the crazy life for years, Wyatt is ready for a change and maybe more. So, he decides to go home and home means seeing Melina again. I loved Melina! She was quiet, but also funny and smart. Wyatt was great at bringing her out and now that they are spending more time together, realize there is may be something more there. They had a great friendship and chemistry!
Their families have been life-long friends and they share a lot of memories but are Wyatt and Melina ready to share more? Temptation was just such a sweet and charming story with great characters. J.D. Hawkins is definitely a must-read author for me and one I highly recommend reading. I devoured this story!
Love and Ink
I have to say, its been so long since I have stayed up late to finish a book in one sitting. Well let me tell you Love & Ink by J.D. Hawkins was so worst all the sleep I lost! This second chance romance was sweet, angsty, and emotional and it literally consumed me!
Teo has spent the last seven years running from a past he never wanted to give up but had no choice in doing so. In that time, he has made something of himself. It was hard at times, but he came out at the other end stronger, even as his heart was missing its other half.
Ash Carter has spent the last seven years wondering if what she shared with Teo was all in her head. Was their love real, if he could walk always so easily and without looking back? She has worked hard to live a life she chooses, but something has been missing.
Ash has been waiting six months for her tattoo. She wanted the best to do it, so it was worth it. Imagine her surprise when she walks in and see him, the boy turned man who walked away from her all those years ago. She imagined this meeting many times, the things she would say and the answers she would demand. But the man is even better than the boy she once loved. Could this be their second chance or is it already too late?
Teo and Ash wore their hearts on their sleeves. I loved that about them. Teo was strong, sexy and determined, but also carried the weight of his past on his shoulders. Ash was sweet, caring, kind and loyal, but she wanted answers. Could they find way to meet in the middle and finally fight for their future?
I loved Teo and Ash’s story. It was emotional, sweet and angsty. Teo had secrets, but he also knew truths could destroy. Can Teo and Ash have a second chance, or will their truths destroy them? This is the second book I have read from J.D. Hawkins and I love it. He writes story full of heart and that will consume you. I highly recommend this second chance romance. It was a great read!

This story was filled with many exciting twists and turns. Nate and Jessie definitely have their differences to contend with, but if they could get their priorities as well as their heads on straight, they just might be able to get things right.

Four bad boys in one box set.
Can you handle all this deliciousness? Well I survived to give this box set four and a half stars.
Each read is a toe tingling tale. What’s not to love!!!
Confessions of Bad Boy
What's not to love about Confessions of a Bad Boy? Nate is the quintessential bad boy, the player, the video blogger, the guy who doesn't stay for breakfast and who doesn't want the happy ever after. Jessie is so loveable, sweet and feisty and pretty much likes sex as much as Nate (perfect woman). The perfect couple you might think except for Jessie's brother and Nate's best friend Kyle (I wouldn't mind seeing more of him). Nate resists Jessie because he considers himself everything she doesn't want in a man and who wants to lose their best friend by dating his sister. Jessie has always had a thing for Nate and when circumstances bring them together they are unable to resist each other at the Retreat and the sexfest continues when they return home. Will Nate be the man Jessie wants him to be. No longer the Bad Boy or will Nate break her heart and return to his Bad Boy ways. There are a few twists and turns along the way before it becomes clear to Nate what he really wants. I loved this book, it is a romance that made me laugh, made me a little sad and made me a lot hot but left me smiling at the end. If I didn't know J.D. Hawkins had written this book I wouldn't have guessed it. His writing has moved up severals levels since Insatiable and Booty Call and it's a joy to see. The character development was great and the story flowed well. I have only ever given 4 books 5 stars before. I give Confessions of a Bad Boy 5 stars. Well done JD.
Temptation
Temptation is pretty much the perfect romantic read. We find Wyatt returning home to California to family and friends and to one in particular Melina. After six years the attraction they felt for each other is still very much alive and so begins the friends to lovers story. We find Wyatt and Melina working together to promote a vile-tasting drink that her boss thinks is the next big thing. I have to say that I quite liked Jim, he's a bit of a dick but he made me laugh. Before you can say kombucha Wyatt, the player and Melina the quiet, shy reserved girl are tangled in the sheets and falling in love. Of course, the road to true love is a little bumpy with them trying to keep their relationship a secret, working together and Wyatt's parents behaving badly. But it's going to happen and we get our HEA. The story is engaging if a little predictable. but it's a light romance so that's no surprise. The characters are entertaining and it's extremely well written, as you would expect from JD Hawkins. If there is a recipe for writing romance I think the author has found it. Temptation has all the ingredients needed to provide us with an entertaining read and would definitely win the technical challenge but falls short of being the showstopper. If you are looking for a quick uncomplicated read than Temptation is the book for you.
Unprofessional
Every now and then a book comes along that leaves you with a big grin on your face and feeling all mushy inside. This is how I felt when I was reading Unprofessional by JD Hawkins. There really isn't anything I didn't like about it. Owen is delicious and a little dangerous but struggles with his feelings regarding his father (you just want to rest his head on your shoulder and say there there). How Margo managed to keep her hands off him for eight years I will never know, I'd have jumped him in the first eight minutes of meeting him. And Margo is sweet and cute and sexy and intelligent and unpretentious and simply adorable. We follow Owen and Margo on their journey from friends to lovers. Can it work for them or will it end in tears? Is love stronger than friendship? Does JD Hawkins give us everything we want in a romance with sex that makes your heart race and your lady parts tingle? Yes he does and he does it very very well. Both POV are extremely well written with humour and not too much angst. I can't wait to see what he has lined up for us next. I loved it - the perfect read #ItsGoingToBeYuge
Love and Ink
Who doesn't love a second chance romance that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy? It's the perfect weekend read while you relax on the sofa with your favourite drink. Preferably something long and cold because you're going need it as the 'happy' times are off the charts....just saying. We meet Ash and Teo, High School sweethearts. Teo let her down seven years ago and Ash never found out why and he never tried to contact her to explain why. He just walked away leaving Ash heartbroken. They meet by chance or is it fate? and they immediately reconnect. Of course, she wants to know why he let her down and he doesn't want to tell her because he knows the truth will hurt her too much. He has only ever wanted to protect her. What a dilemma because we all know the truth will eventually come out and it does and it's over. Or is it? Will Teo fight for his girl this time or let her go and live to regret it? Teo is delicious and Ash is adorable even the characters I was supposed to hate I found myself loving. The side characters are very entertaining and it's extremely well written and funny at times. I did at one point wish Ash would grow a pair and just ask Teo what was going instead of hiding from all the confusion that surrounded their relationship. I did find Love & Ink a little light and wasn't shocked by what had happened to our star-crossed lovers or the eventual outcome of their story. The Author is extremely talented and I would love to see something a little deeper, with characters who are more complex and a storyline that makes me think 'what the?' Would I recommend it? Absolutely, it's just lovely.

What's not to love about Confessions of a Bad Boy? Nate is the quintessential bad boy, the player, the video blogger, the guy who doesn't stay for breakfast and who doesn't want the happy ever after. Jessie is so loveable, sweet and feisty and pretty much likes sex as much as Nate (perfect woman). The perfect couple you might think except for Jessie's brother and Nate's best friend Kyle (I wouldn't mind seeing more of him). Nate resists Jessie because he considers himself everything she doesn't want in a man and who wants to lose their best friend by dating his sister. Jessie has always had a thing for Nate and when circumstances bring them together they are unable to resist each other at the Retreat and the sexfest continues when they return home. Will Nate be the man Jessie wants him to be. No longer the Bad Boy or will Nate break her heart and return to his Bad Boy ways. There are a few twists and turns along the way before it becomes clear to Nate what he really wants. I loved this book, it is a romance that made me laugh, made me a little sad and made me a lot hot but left me smiling at the end. If I didn't know J.D. Hawkins had written this book I wouldn't have guessed it. His writing has moved up severals levels since Insatiable and Booty Call and it's a joy to see. The character development was great and the story flowed well. I have only ever given 4 books 5 stars before. I give Confessions of a Bad Boy 5 stars. Well done JD.
Temptation
Temptation is pretty much the perfect romantic read. We find Wyatt returning home to California to family and friends and to one in particular Melina. After six years the attraction they felt for each other is still very much alive and so begins the friends to lovers story. We find Wyatt and Melina working together to promote a vile-tasting drink that her boss thinks is the next big thing. I have to say that I quite liked Jim, he's a bit of a dick but he made me laugh. Before you can say kombucha Wyatt, the player and Melina the quiet, shy reserved girl are tangled in the sheets and falling in love. Of course, the road to true love is a little bumpy with them trying to keep their relationship a secret, working together and Wyatt's parents behaving badly. But it's going to happen and we get our HEA. The story is engaging if a little predictable. but it's a light romance so that's no surprise. The characters are entertaining and it's extremely well written, as you would expect from JD Hawkins. If there is a recipe for writing romance I think the author has found it. Temptation has all the ingredients needed to provide us with an entertaining read and would definitely win the technical challenge but falls short of being the showstopper. If you are looking for a quick uncomplicated read than Temptation is the book for you.
Unprofessional
Every now and then a book comes along that leaves you with a big grin on your face and feeling all mushy inside. This is how I felt when I was reading Unprofessional by JD Hawkins. There really isn't anything I didn't like about it. Owen is delicious and a little dangerous but struggles with his feelings regarding his father (you just want to rest his head on your shoulder and say there there). How Margo managed to keep her hands off him for eight years I will never know, I'd have jumped him in the first eight minutes of meeting him. And Margo is sweet and cute and sexy and intelligent and unpretentious and simply adorable. We follow Owen and Margo on their journey from friends to lovers. Can it work for them or will it end in tears? Is love stronger than friendship? Does JD Hawkins give us everything we want in a romance with sex that makes your heart race and your lady parts tingle? Yes he does and he does it very very well. Both POV are extremely well written with humour and not too much angst. I can't wait to see what he has lined up for us next. Love and Ink
Who doesn't love a second chance romance that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy? It's the perfect weekend read while you relax on the sofa with your favourite drink. Preferably something long and cold because you're going need it as the 'happy' times are off the charts....just saying. We meet Ash and Teo, High School sweethearts. Teo let her down seven years ago and Ash never found out why and he never tried to contact her to explain why. He just walked away leaving Ash heartbroken. They meet by chance or is it fate? and they immediately reconnect. Of course, she wants to know why he let her down and he doesn't want to tell her because he knows the truth will hurt her too much. He has only ever wanted to protect her. What a dilemma because we all know the truth will eventually come out and it does and it's over. Or is it? Will Teo fight for his girl this time or let her go and live to regret it? Teo is delicious and Ash is adorable even the characters I was supposed to hate I found myself loving. The side characters are very entertaining and it's extremely well written and funny at times. I did at one point wish Ash would grow a pair and just ask Teo what was going instead of hiding from all the confusion that surrounded their relationship. I did find Love & Ink a little light and wasn't shocked by what had happened to our star-crossed lovers or the eventual outcome of their story. The Author is extremely talented and I would love to see something a little deeper, with characters who are more complex and a storyline that makes me think 'what the?' Would I recommend it? Absolutely, it's just lovely.

Loved this boxset with 4 of my favourite stories!!!
CONFESSIONS OF A BAD BOY: Loved it!! Can't say enough good about JD Hawkins book "Confessions of a Bad Boy"!! What a great story line. There's Nate who is one Bad Boy who never wants a serious relationship, hates commitment and is totally honest about it. He has a vlog with thousands of followers where he a hides his identity and talks nightly about all his conquests in great description, giving advise on how to have casual sex with no strings. Nate grew up in a dysfunctional family living beside his best friend and his sister. The friendship he had with them was like a life line that he cherished above everything. There's feelings between Nate and Jessie. He needs her to spend a weekend with his bosses pretending to be his girlfriend. How will that turn out? Is Nate able to just pretend or do feelings start to surface. Can Jessie play his game or is this just too much? These characters are well developed, I was drawn in from the beginning and found it very difficult to put down!! Good job as always JD, I think I love Nate even more than Jax, Dylan or Brando!!!! and that's 3 HARD acts to follow!! A must read!!

The characters were well developed and I easily fell for them right from the start. Wyatt is a big time consultant in New York who decides it's time to move back home to California where he has roots. He had always had special feelings for Melina, a family friend. Little does he realize but she had been crushing on him for years. As the story progresses, Wyatt and Melina end up working together at her dead end job. He's in a difficult position, between Melina and her boss. They have incredible chemistry and find it's impossible to fight. You'll love the steamy scenes that are masterfully written by Mr Hawkins. This book has all the feels, some twists and such wonderful characters you won't soon forget!! Loved it and can't wait for more!!

Is there a chance they could actually have a relationship? Owen not a relationship type of guy so probably not. I loved their chemistry, their deep commitment to each other, No one writes a sex scene the way JD does, scorching hot and I swear you need a cigarette when he's done with you!!! Grab this delicious book and if JD is a new author to you, make sure to check out his other books, You'll love them!!!

Love, betrayal, desperation, desolation, you name it, this book gave it. The characters were all very well developed and realistic. I was drawn into the story immediately and stayed entwined until the very end! JD always does an amazing job with his male POV. Teo is a great character strong, tattoo'd biker, yet a serious business man with artistic talents galore. Ash is also an incredible character, strong, beautiful yet unsure of herself, never getting over the hurt when Teo left her 7 years ago, with no explanation. Now they have a second chance, if life will allow. I think JD has really given us his best work to date and I really look forward to whatever he writes for us next!!!

This is a great collection of some of my JD Hawkins favorites. From humorous to scorching HOT, these four full length books are entertaining and engaging on so many levels. Here's a glimpse into two of these stories-
Love & Ink:
It's a book like Love & Ink that makes me glad I love reading, and ecstatic to find authors like JD Hawkins. His writing style and writer's voice keep me engaged from page one of every, single book. Love & Ink might be my favorite Hawkins story to date...a thoughtful, tearful second chance tale that I read in one go.
Ash and Teo are former high school sweethearts whose young love was shattered abruptly. Years later, a chance meeting has left Ash reeling, reliving all the hurt that shredded her young heart. Facing the heartbreak that shaped her adult life, she struggles with wanting to know what happened all those years ago and the realization that her feelings for Teo haven't changed.
Teo is now a successful business owner, he's driven, and he wants to keep the past buried. He knows nothing good will come from telling Ash anything about it--that it will only cause her more pain. The look I got into the heart of this bad boy made me love him despite his actions. Ash may be more open with her emotion, but that doesn't mean Teo hurts any less.
Love & Ink is gorgeous inside and out. From the eye-catching cover to the wonderful words within, this is a 5 Star read I wholeheartedly recommend!

That's a great gig, until his bestie Margo starts the same job. Seeing her with other men brings out previously unheard of jealousy in Owen. Their story is a bumpy reality show ride filled with laughter and tears.
I really love the interaction and dialogue between the characters. They're a couple I just knew belonged together, and their journey from friends to lovers is so well done.

WHERE IN THE HELL HAVE I BEEN?! I cannot believe that I somehow missed this series before the Box Set came out, but better late than never I suppose. There's so much goodness in this Box Set that I spent one weekend doing nothing else but reading it, and it was hard to actually put it down to go to sleep to be honest.
CONFESSIONS OF A BAD BOY is Nate's story. He's best friends with Jessie's older brother, who is very protective over his baby sister. One night they come across each other's path, and the chemistry won't be denied so they hook up, and promise to never speak about it again. However, they keep coming across each other, so the chemistry they have won't be denied, but there's still her older brother who would probably take Nate out so I was on the edge of my seat waiting for that other shoe to drop.
TEMPTATION is Wyatt & Melina's story. Wyatt & Melina have known each other for a very long time, but they also have the chemistry that could make them more if they took a chance, however, they never went there. Many years later, Wyatt is back, and maybe just maybe they explore new things.
UNPROFESSIONAL is Owen & Margo's story, who are coworkers and friends. The chemistry they share won't stop shooting sparks everywhere, but they've never crossed that line until they did. Now everything is chaotic as they have to make decisions to go forward.

I love this author he is very real and to the point. I enjoyed this book, it was fun, sexy and told an amazing story. The characters grew up together, the sister of your best friend and a crush of your brothers. Jessie and Nate, having a one night stand that led into more than either of them bargained for. It's a friends to lovers relationship that started on a roof top party with the most amazing sex either of them had ever had and ended up being a true love relationship that changed both of them. Great read, once you start it you won't put it down. I love JD's books and this one definitely did not disappoint.

This was a Fantastic lifelong romance that was always destined for more. It was sexy, light and real! Loved Wyatt and Melina's story. Great story J.D. Hawkins, this author just keeps getting better and better with each story he puts out there.

J.D. Hawkins always has a way with the Alpha male and sucking the reader in from the beginning to end. I love reading his books, each one has it's own twist and adventure that you will end up loving each character for what he portrays them to be and more. Owen and Margo's story is no different, who doesn't love a friend to lovers story. It steamy, romantic and fun. Whether this is your first book or you are already a fan of J.D. this is a must read and you fall in love with him all over again.

In Confessions of a Bad Boy, our Hero, Nate, and our heroine, Jessie, accidentally enter into a friends with benefits arrangement, hiding it from her brother, Kyle, who also happens to be Nate's best friend. Having grown up together, Nate and Jessie have an easy friendship that grows into something else on a couple of different drunken evenings. Unbeknownst to Jessie, Nate is hiding his wildly popular online persona where he freely shares his insights on pleasing a multitude of women. His "play the field" ways are not loss on Jessie, who is looking for her forever guy, but willing to have fun with Nate along the way. Nate is devoted to Jessie while they're in their "benefits" arrangement, but the more time they spend with each other, feelings start to change. Not having positive role models growing up, Nate doesn't understand the feelings that seem to be consuming him. Jessie knows love, but she doesn't see a future with a womanizer like Nate. Temptation, Unprofessional and Love & Ink are wonderful stories as well. You can't go wrong with this collection with a great price for four full length books.

I'm not usually a boxset fan. I get bored easily and want to switch things up and around. However, I really enjoyed this series. Well done Mr. Hawkins!
