Damon Thorne, former CIA operative, is now living with Jude Chenoweth, his new boyfriend. The sexy graphic designer is handsome as hell and Damon can’t get enough of him. Unfortunately, his life as a “cleaner” always seems to get in the way. At least Jude is at his side these days, helping out on an odd job here or there.
Jude finds his new life with Damon thrilling. If it’s not rescuing a teen from child traffickers, it’s stealing adult toys from a notorious sex club. While Jude struggles to stay out of the limelight, Damon battles with his own demons, trying to reconcile a heartbreaking past.
A mandatory trip to New York turns into a weekend on the Harlem blues scene and a party with New York high society, ending in near disaster. To top it all off, a deliberate poisoning, a pissed off “force of nature” in stilettos, and a half-blind money launderer confirm there’s trouble brewing and only the beginning of their problems.
When an old acquaintance turns up with a tale of betrayal and a warning of imminent danger, Jude and Damon go on the offense. Fortunately for the two men, they unexpectedly have a team of warriors at their backs.
Join Jude and Damon for one thrill ride after another in the sequel to Clean Up on Aisle Mine.

Damon and Jude have moved in together and are solidifying their relationship at the beginning of Clean Approach. But things will not be easy for them, as Damon's job will come to be a huge, huge problem for the couple.
When an attempt is made on Damon's life, Jude helps him heal, physically, but mostly emotionally. And then just as Damon's healing, someone drops one hell of a revelation on him, and it gets absolutely nuts from there. Lots of action, one (two) big twists, and smokin' chemistry made for an excellent conclusion to Jude and Damon's story. Although, the way it ends, there seems to be room for another story or two, so actually, I hope it's not the conclusion because I love spending time with my two guys.
This is the second book in the series & it was heartbreaking. We find out the truth of what happened to Damon's wife & daughter and it broke my heart. We start off with rescuing a teenager who is unknowingly being auctioned off in a sex ring operation and then off to retrieve some sex toys. Jude is then required to go to a charity event in New York and off he & Damon goes. We get to spend some time with Jude's mother & I just love her. While in NY, Damon is almost killed by poisoning. He also thinks he sees someone from his former CIA days. When they get back home, they find out that there is a plot against them & all hell breaks loose. Leah was a bada$$ and I so love her. We find out that there is a major traitor, who I never saw coming. But then it boils down to what really happens to Damon's family and the reasoning behind it. I'm happy to say that justice was served on that front. Also, Jude & his father and brother start to mend those fences that were destroyed a long time ago. Oh and we got cameo's from characters from some of Ms. Logan's other series & I always love when other characters stop by to lend a hand. The action was never ending & really keep me turning those pages as I had to know what was going to happen next. I really hope that this series is not over & would like more.

Ruthie – ☆☆☆☆ This is the second book in the series, and I think that you definitely need to have read them in order to understand the underlying plot. Damon is on a job looking after Jude, errant son of a senator. They are attracted to each other and acting on it – in fact, they are now living together by choice, and even doing some of Damon's crazy jobs as a team. It is a lot of fun watching these two men falling for each other and enjoying life for the first time in a long while.
I love Jude's mum; her financial independence gives her the power that most wives of senators do not have, and what's more, she uses her wealth for good. Her enthusiasm for the men's relationship is important.
As an aside to the Jude situation, Damon is also facing trouble – the missing microdot from book one is still causing trouble. As that part of the story unfolds, the drama ratchets up a lot, but it is very engaging and a little tense... to say the least. I am pleased to say that I guessed who the baddie was, but the twists and turns were clever and worked really well.
A very enjoyable story, I recommend it to you.

There are not many books that keep me interested for more than a few hours but Patricia's books are just that. Every time I read a Patricia Logan novel, I get sucked in that world and its hard to leave and part ways from the characters.
Clean Approach is the second book in 'A spy like me' series and this installment had some great character developments and some crazy twists that I did not see coming. Jude and Damon are living together and Jude is just as sassy and Damon is just as reserved but they're making it work. Jude is persistent and want to help Damon heal which he does beautifully and slowly as Damon needs. Damon, on the other hand, is trying really hard to get back on his feet after his tragic past and having Jude near is really helping him face his past with a smile than tears. These two characters are opposite but complement each other like all of Patricia's characters.
Jude is required to go to New York for a charity event and Damon is once again faced with his past where he least expects it. Jude's mom is awesome and super badass in my eyes, btw. With a deliberate poisoning, a mysterious sighting of an old friend, and a super badass Leah, this book is action packed with a side of sass and fluff.
There were some discrepancies at the beginning that threw me for a loop but other than that 'Clean Approach' is beautifully crafted and well-written piece of art that I absolutely loved! Ms Logan's writing is as always - perfect and amazeballs. Having my favorite 'death and destruction' power couple with the rest of the LAPD and FBI squad there to have Damon and Jude's back made the earth-shattering climax so worth it. Like seriously, I DID NOT expect the ending but I guess that what made this book so much amazing!
I can't wait to read more of Damon and Jude and I really hope there is another book in this series. As always, Patricia Logan did not disappoint.
First of all, this is a book two and you do need to read Clean Up on Isle Mine first. Clean Approach begins where the other left off with Jude and Damon still together. Damon is still watching over Jude to make sure he stays out of the limelight during his father’s campaign, but they are now in a relationship. Jude has been helping Damon with some of his smaller jobs. The first part of the book is funny with some of the jobs and messes they get into. Then towards the end is a big twist, things get messy and wow was I floored with the ending.
With all of Patricia Logan books you get lots of well—defined, interesting, unique characters, a good plot, lots of action and plenty of heat. In this series there is also quite a bit of humor which really was a nice touch to the series. Plus at the end we get to see some of our favorite characters from other books ( don’t worry it wont throw you off if you haven’t read any Logan’s books, but it is a treat for us that have…and warning it will make you want to go grab those series too!) If you like unique stories, spies, humor, twists, and some heat you will love this! I highly recommend!
I’m not sure why, but Clean Approach didn’t pull me into the story quite as fast as Clean-up on Aisle Mine. Once this story did pull me in, it didn’t let go and was almost impossible to put down.
The guilt of putting Jude’s life in danger was weighing on Damon. He couldn’t live loosing someone else he loved and cared about. Jude was willing to listen to Damon to keep himself safe, to an extent. If Damon was in danger and Jude could help, all bets were off.
The were so many twists, turns and surprising revelations in Clean Approach that I really can’t say a lot more. Just know that nothing is exactly as it seems and figuring out who to trust at times becomes a life and death game of chance.
Once again, the supporting characters were a welcome addition to Jude and Damon’s story. A lot of knew characters were introduced near the end of Clean Approach and I was happy to discover that most of them have their own series. I think I’m going to have to do some back tracking and get to know them better. 😉
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of Clean Approach. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Patricia Logan has done it again! This fantastic, fast paced, action packed, thrilling, raw, gritty, gripping, smoking hot, amazing, nail biting, keep-you-on-the-edge-of-your-seat, poignant, emotionally charged, and totally awesome tale hit the ground running and never looked back! Filled with mystery, danger, betrayal, revelations, and more twists and turns than a roller coaster, I would DEFINITELY recommend getting this marvelous book immediately.
If you thought Clean Up on Aisle Mine was exciting then buckle up because this is going to take you on loops, tight turns, and major free falls unlike any roller coaster read you’ve ever had. Man it blew me away. Had me on the edge of my seat worried about Damon and Jude more than once. This is what I want when I’m looking for suspense, mystery, and danger. I want to be so involved that I can’t stop reading. That’s what Patricia Logan delivers here. I have to say it’s the best spy novel I have ever read.
Loved this sequel. It was great to read more about Damon and Jude. These characters are perfect together and they have another wild adventure with child trafficking, deliberate poisoning and money laundering you are always on your toes. Amazing exciting intriguing you get all these things in this story. Loved it
I had not read the first book in A Spy Like Me series so it took a little while to work out the connections. However, I thought the first two thirds of the book rather lacklustre and only gained momentum and interest in the last third of the book.
OMG! This is an amazing addition to Jude and Damon's story. Patricia Logan had me right on the edge of my seat and I just couldn't stop reading. So many twist and turns that just pull me right into this story. Definitely another series by Patricia Logan that I just love.
Wow, there is so much going on in this book and I was hooked right from the start! There is always something keeping Damon and Jude moving, whether it's a case, family duty or unexpected history brought up. Emotions run high with Damon and Jude's relationship speeding forward but when secrets and betrayals are revealed, it may not be enough to keep them together. They do find old and new friendships that come in as a great source of support at a time when it's definitely needed, bonds sealed over gunfire and battle plans. Damon and Jude have come a long way as a couple having now spent a longer time together but there are still things to learn about each other and be faced with. They are still just as hot as book one, keeping the pages on fire, but it's equally balanced by the grief that Damon is still dealing with and is brought up on more than one occasion through the story but he is much more open to the future which leaves a lot of possibilities open for the couple in the series. We are introduced to several new characters who come to support or hurt Damon and Jude and it's a great mix, really keeps the reader on their toes. Leah is still my favourite though, absolutely cracks me up. She's like a real mama bear when it comes to protecting the couple or kicking them up the butt. Jude's mum also comes into the pictures and she is delightful, really graceful and truly on Jude's side. Loving this series and Clean Approach is a great second book. Action, drama, romance, secrets, so much going on to keep the reader entertained and all contained within a brilliant story. I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.
Wow. I thought book one was full of action, but this book makes the first one look uneventful. So much happened in this book that I ALMOST don’t know where to start.
This book came out swinging from the very beginning when Jude accompanies Damon on a rescue mission. Apparently, that’s (Jude’s present for ops) a thing now. Omg, the scene with the shotgun was classic. I about died when Jude asked Dalton if he broke the guys d*ck. It was hilarious! The action, suspense, and drama didn’t end there. It continued throughout the entire book. Trixie dropped a major bomb, and I’m still in shock over it. All I can think about is the devastation I could feel, radiating off him, through the pages.
This is book two in the series, and while some things happen independently, this is best read after reading Clean Up On Aisle Mine. There are storylines that continue from book one to book two, and some questions answered as well.
I love Jude and Dalton. They are delightful and complex characters. You can tell that they love each other a lot. Dalton is very protective of Jude. It’s actually very sweet, and also heartbreaking because we know why he afraid of losing someone he cares about. It was fun to read how things played out, in regard to their relationship. The people I don’t like are those out to get Dalton and Jude. Nobody hurts one of my favorite fictional characters, and that includes those who will rue the day they betrayed everything they claim to love, honor, and protect.
This was a well written, and very enjoyable story, and I highly recommend it.

This is the second book in the Spy Like Me series and you really need to read book one in order to fully understand an appreciate what is going on in this book. Even having read that book it still took me a while to fully get in the swing of things.
Damon is a former spy who retired from the CIA after the murder of his wife and daughter. Jude is the son of a US Senator who hired Damon (via his new “problem solver”…cleaner…job) to rein in Jude’s playboy ways and keep him out of the view of paparazzi so he stays out of the tabloids during election season. Now in book two, Damon and Jude are in a relationship and living together, still staying out of public view as requested by the Senator. The book deals with some minor jobs of Damon’s, Jude’s role in Damon’s jobs, their relationship and ultimately a threat from the past centered on the leftover issue from book one, a missing microdot. The story starts out kind of slow but towards the end as it picks up speed it really moves. The ending is exciting and the twists and turns keep your attention. There are portions that seem glaringly obvious and you’ve got to wonder what kind of spy Damon was (supposedly the best) that he doesn’t pick up on things.
It was fun to see characters from Logan’s other books involved in the big crisis scenes. I always enjoy when worlds collide from an author’s various series.
**I voluntarily read an arc and this is my unbiased opinion.**
Jude, Damon's former hostage, has definitely fallen in love with his captor...and it's reciprocated.
Of course we have a few complications; Jude's dad (a United States Senator) and brother who are still trying to keep Jude out of the public eye, Damon's secrets as a CIA operative and the jobs he does for Trixie (his handler), to say nothing of Jude's attraction to the danger that comes with Damon's jobs.
But when 'colleagues' from Damon's past start popping up, drugs cause problems, and there is a fire where none should be...a lot of other 'alphabet' organizations get involved for an explosive finish!
Be ready for some horrifying details to be shared, including a major one, 'You can't always trust your friends.'
This is a fun and action packed follow up of Clean up on Aisle Mine. Jude and Damon are so good together, one of my favorite couples in MM romance, and their relationship is deepening. Writing is so seamless and engaging that it makes hard to put the book down. They mash in and outside the bedroom, their chemistry is of the charts. It may sound contradictory but that's the reason I rated it four instead of five stars. The bedroom scenes are probably some of the best I've read, but they are overextended (10 pages for example) and too frequent. Sometimes is better to leave the reader and the MCs waiting and wanting. Despite this I'm really hoping for the third book.
Mostly because I had such high hopes of discovering a new series with a new huge universe behind it. Is there something better than having beloved characters and pairings appear in other books?
Turns out I wont’ be reading anything more about Jude and Damon or any of the other characters who show up. Which is sad, really, but can’t be helped.
The Clean Approach picks up shortly after where we left off in Cleanup on Aisle Mine. Damon and Jude have settled into their relationship. Damon is introduced to Jude’s family. Jude is busy with his business and Damon continues to work cases for Trixie. Of course in Damon’s line of work things never stay quiet for long. Damon’s past and present cross paths in this book. Some parts of the story seemed a bit drawn out to me, but then things took a fast-paced exciting turn and the Damon and Jude’s happy life was turned upside down. Damon must face this latest hurtle head on before he can claim his well-deserved future with Jude.
Damon, Jude, and Leah are back!!! This was full of twist and turn at every stop, never saw half of them coming. We finally find out the truth of Damon’s family and it was so heartbreaking. Jude’s family plays a major role in the story line. Thy mystery, suspense, action, adventure, friendship, family, and so much love is everything in this story!! The bad guys I never saw coming, hold on to the seat of your pants! I am voluntarily leaving a review form an ARC that I received. My reviews are solely based on my thoughts and opinions.
This was a great follow up to the first in the series. I love Damon and Jude, and getting to see them work together through a non-stop series of incidents was so much fun. It’s a great blend of action, humour and romance, which makes for an exciting and intriguing story. And then just to add a little punch to the gut, we finally get the heartbreaking story behind what happened to Damon’s family. I may have wanted to cry my eyes out over this, but the support and love Jude and Damon have for one another helped me through. I just need more now!
Jai and Damon are back again and fall right into action. Damon is finding it difficult after losing his family to accept the happiness he has found with Jai but his love and caring go a long way to soothing any ails. A fast paced story with plenty of twists and turns that packs in the action. The whole alphabet brigade is bought in to deal with the predicament everyone has found themselves in which should tell you how dangerous things are. An unexpected finish that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Book two in the 'A Spy Like Me' series and it was just as enjoyable, funny, and thrilling as the first. Damon and Jude are fantastic MC's, the romance was sweet, intense and very sexy. I never thought I'd read a spy/CIA operative type of book, but these where very engrossing. I found some of the Afghanistan tale a teensy bit complex and therefore slightly boring, but the background of it was necessary to the plot. The last three chapters are truly thrilling, had me holding my breath, great writing.
Another wild ride but with a different pace. The story felt like it slowed down a little in a few places in the middle, but the explosion of an ending more than made up for it. This installment includes an all-star cast with appearances from some of the author's other series. Now, I have to go read the last book in the Death and Destruction series as this little taste of Thayne and Jarrett just wasn't enough.
Damon is off to another job, leaving Jude in the getaway car with instructions to stay put. As if!
What follows is the usual mayhem. A kidnapped boy, kidnapped back, and a bad guy taking a beanbag round to his manly region. Of course Damon and Jude always celebrate a successful case in their own special way.
Action, suspense, romance, huge suprises, and a cast of unforgettable G men. Spectacular!! May be the favorite book for me by this author.
This second book is as gripping, fast paced and steam filled as the first book. Jude and Damon proving that they fit together no matter what the situation. Characters from other series' from this author make cameo appearances, making me want to now read those series. The twist was well done and not expected. Overall this was a really good second book.
I loved Clean Approach and Jude and Damon. I thought it was filled with action, hot sex, witty banter, interesting characters, love and romance. I totally enjoyed reading this book and was glad to read more about them from Clean Up on Aisle Mine. I love Patricia Logan’s books and this was definitely no exception. I totally recommend this book and I really hope there’s more to come in the series, A Spy Like Me.
I really liked the first book in this series, but I loved this one. Damon and Jude are a great, hot couple and here their adventures are all over the place from Harlem to high society with some real danger and betrayal added to the mix. The characters are exaggerated and flamboyant but always entertaining and never melodramatic. Like James Bond, I am always up for their adventures.
Just as good as the first one. Definitely best read in order. Some hi-jinx that had be laughing out loud and then explaining why I was laughing to other people. Highly recommend.
I just love her storytelling. And I enjoy seeing characters from other series make an appearance every now and then. Jude and Damon are such a cute couple and have exciting adventures.
