Fueled by dark chocolate and even darker coffee, USA Today bestselling author Jane Henry writes what she loves to read – character-driven, unputdownable romance featuring dominant alpha males and the powerful heroines who bring them to their knees. She’s believed in the power of love and romance since Belle won over the beast, and finally decided to write love stories of her own.
I listened to this on readmeromance and I enjoyed it i did love Leila she had a good secert and she was a badass with what she did.. even if it got her in the crossfire of Ransom and his brothers. Now locked away in a cabin with them she just hopes they don't check her laptop.
What made me sad i wish this was 2 narration.. the girl was okay just wish there was another also hated the Eeeee!!

I didn't listen to the podcast of this story but Ms. Henry released it as a short novella. While I liked it, I wish it would have been a lot longer. The characters needed a bit more development. Maybe that will happen one day but I was over all happy with this very short and very quick read!!
Yes this book was so good! It was short and sweet just the way I like my books sometimes. Jane Henry always knows how to bring the naughty and dirty. This is why I love her books so much.
I was really excited to read another Jane Henry book. I read Island Captive earlier this year and loved it. Unfortunately, I think I prefer her longer full-length novels because this one kind of missed the mark for me. It was over the top insta-love and I had higher hopes for it. And this was probably one of my lest favorite narrators. I wish they had incorporated a guy for the male parts. It was good for a RMR Podcast novella, but I wanted a lot more story. I'm quite a harsh critic of novellas I guess - I feel like it must be really difficult to write such a short story but have the effectiveness of a full length novel. I feel like this one had more potential but was entertaining none the less.
Warning-Dubious consent 3.5 stars I really liked this story and thought it had so much potential, but I want more. You only get one taste without knowing the entire back story. The glimpse we get of Leila's back story gives us enough information to know that she is a badass, but we don't know why or how she actually got to where she is. I love her and her attitude. The glimpse we get of Random (cliche of a name), his family, and the "business" is too brief to get a good hold on what it is they actually do. When they attitudes collide the explosion is epic, but I need more!
Title: His Mountain Hostage Author: Jane Henry Format: Audio Narrator: Faith Clark Genre: Romance, Dark Romance, Kidnapping, BDSM Standalone: yes Part of a Series: no POV: Leila, Ransom Steam Level: toasty 4/5
I listened to this audiobook on the Read Me Romance podcast. I was excited to see Jane Henry as an author on the podcast. I really like her work His Mountain Hostage is everything I’ve come to expect with Jane Henry - a sexy story with some BDSM elements and a HEA. I love that this turned into a game of wits and seduction.
I listened to this audiobook on the Read Me Romance Podcast. This didn't have a unique plot but it was enjoyable to read. The characters did need to be developed a bit more but I did like how there wasn't instalove to make it even a bit more realistic even though this whole story wasn't realistic but come one, this whole thing is fiction so it's okay.
A quirky little "dubious consent" story, with two characters that violate one of my cardinal rules: being two-dimensional. Leila and Ransom are not well drawn but they are in a story that pops.with eroticism.
The HEA is telegraphed so there is no suspense but every chapter has an edgy sex scene, loose dialog, and rapid plot movement.

I didn’t get all the twists here, but I got the gist, and if you can get past the whole “I drugged and kidnapped you and I want to fuck you” thing, it’s a good story. I did my usual suspension of disbelief, and I was entertained.
Read Me Romance podcast. I think this was short and part of a series so I wish there were more. I'm intrigued by the premise, which is the point since they probably want you to check out more books, right?
This was hot....a little cheesy, but very HOT. Think about the story line you would read from A Mountain Hostage, and that’s about what you get. Man kidnaps girl, ties her to bed, they have sex, she falls in love...
Leila is a hacker who messed with the wrong guy. So when Ransom nabbed her and kept her at his mountain home sparks fly. This was a great fast read of drama and heat that had me turning the page till I was done. I am voluntarily leaving my review of this ARC.
Try his was a wonderful surprise story from Jane Henry. It tells of a Mountain Man named Ransom who BTW, kidnapped a gal named Leila. This is a fun, unpredictable, Dominating man and Leia learns very fast! The HEA is really great. I loved reading this book!
This as a story novella. It was very entertaining and hot and sexy. Leila was captured because the brothers thought her father was stealing from them, but she has a secret. Now you will have to read this book to see what the secret was. Enjoy
Okkkk, not what I was expecting and I love that I was taken off guard. Great twist, palpable chemistry and the not-what-I’d-anticipated story had me intrigued and entertained.
