I thought the bond between us would never break, but then she bewitches them into forgetting who I am and what I mean to them. At the queen's command, they hunt me like a wild beast.
To survive, I must become more merciless than any of them, no matter how much my heart bleeds when I hurt them or how badly my body craves theirs.
When even my forbidden magic can't bring them back, I have to make a terrible choice.
To end the deadly game and make my mates remember me again, I'll have to leap into Hell's inferno.

This was REALLY really good and I love how the story line keeps evolving!!
BUT at the end of the day, this still feels like an ACOTAR and TOG reverse harem AU 🤣 The names and characters are so alike its ridiculous hahaha
The Night king named RYDSTROM like Rhysand. He also has the "court of nightmares" and his own Velaris. The way he is described is 100% the same way Rhysand is it felt like copy and paste. "Starlight kissed his skin", "his power rumbled through the house", and he also had wings (albeit feathered, not like our favorite bat boy). Our heroine also calls him "Ryds" for short lol
The Winter king is named ROWAN and very much like our beloved Rowan from TOG, cool, icy, calculating, controls ice but he's not portrayed as the nice guy here (although he is!! took one for the team is what he did)
And BARON ooh lala what a spicy spicy Summer king! He is exactly like Helion. All boisterous swag, dripping in arrogance but only because he is so sure of himself (which I greatly admire)
And let's not forget our heroine, Ileana, who if you jumble the letters is like Aelin. Though Ileana is her real name, she was first introduced as Evaline - which is the name of Aelin's mother minus the e. Though their similarities end there. Aelin has always been aware of her legacy and the weight of her powers and responsibilities but Ileana had been on the denial train for a while and at times, stubborn to let what she was used to go but understandably so.
Plot wise though I really really like it, the plot twists were cool and executed well, you get an idea of what it might be but there's still a chance that you might be wrong and I really really liked that.
Steam level is *chefs kiss* the dirty talk was good though there were certain lines that were a bit jarring and out of place but I'd give it a solid 8.5 out of 10
Really loving this book so far! Can't wait to see what's in store for in the next and final book :)
Can someone plzzz spoil it for me and tell me what chapter does she mate with Baron finally…. And what chapter Rowan like tells the truth or is good again .And can someone tell me if he had sex with the evil sister. I kind of stopped reading it after the second book because it hurt that he betrayed her. I just need to know if he cheats or anything then I can continue reading it cause I can’t do the cheating trope even if it was to “protect” her…!!!!!
I really tried to keep going through this book, I did. I must have read the first two a fair few years ago and was starved for fae romance and before I'd had enough of YA books. I don't like Eve and I don't really like any of the king's. This line was the one that lost me (not really a spoiler as it doesn't hint at any plot): “Then you don’t need to take it,” I said. “For the rest of you, listen. First, I’m the biggest badass here. You saw how I disarmed three of you in the blink of an eye, including the dude carrying the biggest gun. I’m a trained warrior Fae. I can kill easily and mercilessly. I battled an army of demons and Dawn Fae and a troll, and I’m still here. Not to brag, but I’m faster and stronger than any of you, even those of you who might have a military background or consider yourself gym rats.” A). She's not a badass, she's just annoying and impulsive. B). A few weeks training is not "a trained fae warrior". You're only half fae! C). Hardley participated in anything "battle"-like IMO. I have another series on my TBR from this author, I hope it's better than this one. The smut is well written though, the world building is decent. There are likeable characters in this book. The only thing that lets this book down is the FMC, I don't think it's for me. I will not be finishing this series.
Just keeps getting better and dang that cliffhanger. Holly smokes can't wait to read the conclusion. I hope Rowan redeems hi eself but if he did sleep with the fake queen then there is no redemption.
Look, is it a tad bit of an ACoTaR/ToG rip off? A Fever series rip off? Yes, yes it is. I mean seriously her main male characters are Rowan & Rydstrom!! She didn’t even bother to change Rowan & Rydstrom is Rhysand. Then she literally took the Fae Fever title & switched it to Fever Fae. However, do I care? No, not really. That one author- Kristen Ashley does it all the time with great success & it’s different enough that I still found it enjoyable & not too predictable. In fact, I have REALLY enjoyed this series. I mean I think had I read it right after ACoTaR I would have hated it or had I gone into it with ACoTaR expectations I would have been disappointed, but if you open read it for what it is- a reverse harem fairy smut. Then you too will be pleasantly surprised. SPOILERS: Of course, there were a few things that were annoying. For instance, how the Kings keep calling her “my mate” like she doesn’t have a name or talking about her, in front of her like she isn’t there. Then there was the smut. I actually didn’t think the smut itself was gratuitous (I actually didn’t think it was that great) it was more all the times she was horny or talked about being horny that was annoying. I think I had rather have gratuitous smut then have to constantly hear about how freaking horny she was. I also still think she is being stupid & short sighted about the Winter King, but I also could be completely wrong as I haven’t read the last book yet & this book barely mentions him. Lastly, while I was super glad she rose to the occasion & came home to take care of her siblings- I am so beyond ecstatic that her parents are back & I don’t have to worry about the brats anymore.

Evelina seems to have learned a lot about the magical world although the reader didn’t experience her learning these things. I also wonder about the timeline. Evelina says things like a while back this happened. It was literally the last thing that happened in the previous book. How much time has passed? I don’t like how the small details were skimmed over. Where are her siblings? Just tucked away? When they’ve been such an intricate part of the story. But we did finally get answers. Evelina can just shrug off magic? “Without them, I could turn into a monster even I myself would fear.…” When? How? What are we talking about? Most of Evelina’s family are other and now that most of their bloodline has been revealed, I don’t understand why they continue to refer to them as her “human” family. They’re not. We knew this in the first book when Evelina asked her siblings to use their senses. Was Evelina also not an experiment between her parents? Why would Catlin believe the dawn queen? The queen has been after Rydstrom for forever. The Wild Hunt was anticlimactic but the ending redeemed the book a little.
Misused and misspelled words. Some grammatical errors. Way too repetitive. We didn’t need a recap of what happened in the last scene.
The grammatical errors weren't even entertaining enough to keep this story from going off the rails.
Biggest peeve is that the MC hasn't used logic to realize the Winter King didn't betray her. It was such a heavy-handed move in the story that even the MC should be able to see that he's acting as a spy in the enemy's camp.
Her ex-boyfriend being hauled into the Wild Hunt was so unnecessary. *gag* Just one more person who wants to shag the MC. Like she's not getting enough Fae dick already.
Oh, and the arbitrary renaming of Cerberus - not a cerberus, but THE Cerberus - to Joy. What the actual fuck?
All in all, this whole book was a cluster fuck of unnecessary plot devices. If I could go back in time and unread this series, I would. But, since I can't go that, I'm going to read the final book just to see how this mess gets resolved. I'm just a glutton for punishment, I guess.
This book starts shortly after the last one ends with her little brother being taken captive Their solution is to plan some kind of summit in hopes of getting her brother back? It just seemed very pointless, but it did show us the mages which we haven’t seen before and we figured out what happened to her parents, in the end, she still had to go into the hunt overall I don’t know how to feel about this book. I enjoyed it. I like to see that she starting to come into her and realize who she is just seemed kind of pointless in the end overall I really enjoyed the book, and she finally has mate bonds with all three of her mates, and I say three because I still don’t believe the winter king has betrayed her like he didn’t battle at all during the summit and why all the looks and feelings of betrayal from him

Only critique: The MC seems to start speaking really proper/ old school randomly. For example, “I must kill her!” or “I must end that evil bitch!” or referring to her mates as beloveds. I feel like if she’s from modern day she would say things like “I have to kill” and not use must so often. It’s a little thing so it didn’t really take me out of the story and was more of an afterthought as I’m writing this review. It happens in all 3 books, I just so happened to realize it after this one.
Just out of curiosity, does anyone else notice this happening in fae books where the MC from modern times starts talking like they’re from a different century? Could just be me.
The best book in the series thus far. Evelina or well Ileana finally accepting her birthright, finding her parents, and getting her brother back, all while in a hunger gamesesque arena fighting for her life and several humans lives. Flat out bad ass. Oh and discovering who her biological parents are and she may be the heir to hell. It was about time Baron, I mean dang the third book in and you just now got some. Allllllll the stuff happened in this one. My mind is still reeling. I enjoyed the logic behind every threat that her sister sent in the wild hunt for her to battle, and seeing Evies thought process while she worked out the why and just how her sister was counting on her to react only to not give her the satisfaction. Just. Beautiful.

I'm thoroughly enjoying this series so far! I'm totally a Rydstrom fan though 😊 something about an endless night fantasy land sounds good in my world . But the punches Queen Illena has taken from her sister has been a whirlwind of choas and terror. I'm truly curious on how this war between her sisters rage and jelousy will end. Also I've had the strangest feeling the Winter king has planned his route of "betrayment" strategically since Brigtania is too powerful. I want to give him that benefit of doubt, we shall see. I can't wait to read the final installment.
I zipped right through this series. I've read some of the one star reviews; people indicating that they couldn't even get through the first book without casting it aside. Not me. I liked that the MC didn't abandon her human family when she discovered she was an immortal. Some of the sex scenes seemed gratuitous, but what are you going to do? The constant horniness got old but at least there was quite a bit of action, deception, a nasty villain and HEA. Loved Fawn and the other siblings. They weren't relegated to never being heard from once introduced. I think the kings were pretty interchangeable, other than for the domains they ruled over. Not a whole lot of difference between them.
I'm leaving the same review for all four books since I've read several others since I got around to writing this so I don't remember what happened when.
Wow! Total did not expect that ending. The furies got served! The hunt ended with some humans saved and now 2 of Ileana’s mates are cursed to forget their mate completely. But there is 1 mate who hasn’t. I’m curious if this was always the plan for Rowan to be the supposed betray only to be a spy for Ileana and if he’ll come to her rescue finally. And we finally find out who Ileana’s dad is. I wonder why she doesn’t have a fourth mate who isn’t a demon? Maybe in the next book. I can’t wait I’m dying for more!!!
Absolutely brilliant. I loved this book, it’s my favorite so far in the series. It’s getting so exciting on the edge of my seat waiting to see what’s going to happen next. It’s sexy, fun and full of adventure. Although this is an RH, but I’m really loving the family aspect of it. The narration is absolutely perfect. Victoria Mei is a fantastic narrator and her voice is perfect for this series. This is book 3 and is continued in book 4. I highly recommend this book/series.
Oh my! That was one crazy ending. This book in the series was so full of action, drama, and suspense. It had you on the edge of your seat with anticipation. It has me coming back for more with all its glory. It is extremely well written and doesn’t disappoint. The characters are stunningly developed as they grow into their roles. This is definitely a must read. Victoria Mei’s narrative is fantastic as it is clear and has so much to add to the book. She allows you to feel like part of the story.
Evelina's sister steals her mates, erasing their memories and turning them into her hunters. Instead of claiming her, they're tracking her down like prey, and she has no choice but to become even more ruthless than them.
But when even her forbidden magic can't fix this mess, there's only one option left jump into Hell's inferno and pray it doesn't consume them all. If you love feral romance, deadly betrayals, and a heroine who refuses to break, Night Fae will destroy you in the best way possible.
This series by Meg Xuemei X just grab one and make one pays attention. The author's plot make one wants to follow each characters and understand their point of view. The heroine in this series.is no slouch. She can kick her enemies bum with a few well strategic decisions. Who does not appreciate a future Queen who can protect people in her orbit. I can't wait for the last installment.
This book had a lot of action and answers. The two fae kings proved their love for Evie. The one is still "bad" but you and I both know that is not true. The ending is a cliffhanger, but the next book is out, so it is not too bad. Otherwise, it would stink. I did not like the bash against Christianity, the scene could have been written without the bashing..
This series is intense! There so much excitement and danger and violence, but also lust and love and wonderful relationships. I love how much the importance of family is such a theme throughout the series. Just when you think Evie has things handled, something else gets thrown into the mix. I mean, aliens!?!? Really? And the cliffhanger at the end… Can’t wait for the next book!
This book was as great as the first two. I really enjoy the relationship between the kings and Evie. They all have a relationship with her and they all have a reason to be with her and they are separated from each other. I love RH series, but I hate when the majority of the book is filled with threesome, foursome, and more... I love that she has multiple partners without having a convoluted sex life that is less realistic.
There is sooo much revealed in this addition. Betrayals still abound and the body count isn’t slowing down. As Evie takes on the Wild Hunt she truly reveals what she’s made of and that she’s not backing down.
Biggest surprise...her biological father!! Still in shock.
I'm t the point that I'm feeling bad for all the bad stuff happening to Evie. But you can never go wrong with a book from this author. I also am pretty sure that she's going to find out that the Winter King Rowan has been playing his own game with the evil queen 👑. Can't wait for the next.
This was actually the best in the series thus far. Plenty of action, suspense, and some pretty good smut. Finished it in one day. I recommend it. Spoilers I loved that Richie was brought back in I thought it added some flair to it. I miss Rowan though and I can't be the only one to know that he is not with that usurper for real. Rydstrom is the man though.
So much happens in this book that I don’t know where to start. Evie has embraced her heritage and has entered the Wild Hunt to save her loved ones. There is deception, loss, love, passion, fear, hate, and regret. Lots of blood, violence, and revelations as well as hot sex!!
If you haven't read the first two books in the series, do it now because this series is a must-read!!! I can't wait for the next book!!
This is my favorite series from Meg so far! The people and the worlds they inhabit are captivating and I can't wait for each new book. The build up leading to the confrontation between Evie and her sister is so good and I thought it'd be over in this book- then Evie entered the wild hunt. So much is happening in this book: romance, betrayal, adventure and suspense.
How could you end it like that and push back the release date for the next book. I need to know what’s to come next. I loved this story and how powerful everyone is. I wonder who first came up with your powers not manifesting until your 22nd birthday because you guys are giving me hope with me turning 22 in April. Send my mate now lol.
Night Fae is book three in the series Dark Fae Kings by author Meg Xuemei X. It’s one obstacle after another in this tale. Some truths are learned - heartache is at the front and center. The prophecy stated - one will be taken. Now an innocent must be rescued. A plague has taken hold- so much happening in these pages. Definitely don’t want to put this down. Enjoy!!
Such wonderful writing! Meg has become one of my favorite authors.she makes her stories come alive for me .This series is by far her best series yet. Snuggle up grab a glass of wine and be taken away to an amazing adventure. Can't wait for what next!!!
Kept me on the edge of my seat. And that cliffhanger nnooooooo I have to wait 3 months for the next. I want to face palm myself for not waiting for the whole series to be finished. The next book cant come quick enough!
