Criminal.
Liar.
Thief.

Funny how those three words can describe two very different people.
Ethan is everything I am. But also my polar opposite.
He stole my heart.
And I stole his.
But only one of us had the guts, the balls, the ruthlessness, to break the very thing we swore to always protect.
Now, twelve years later, we meet again. Except this time, I’m not the doe eyed girl he left back in Baltimore.
I’m older.
Wiser.
And not stupid enough to give him the second chance he seems to think he deserves. Plus, he’s got a target on his back and I’m aiming for the bull’s eye. If you ask me, it’s only fair.
Ethan stole my heart.
And I’m about to rob him blind.

”Ethan’s part of the past. You don’t look back. You only look forward.”

So Winter is a cat burglar, and she is on one of her jobs when the owner of the house attacks her. When she tries to escape him she see’s it’s Ethan. Her ex.

Ethan has been looking for Winter for 12 years, since he gave her a duffle bag full of money, told her off and asked her to leave the city. And now he has finally found her again and is willing to do anything to keep her.

”I promise you, Winter,” he says, “this is nowhere close to being over. This is just getting started because you continue to lie to my face. And rest assured, this won’t be the last time we see each other, either.

So when I started this book, I was really impressed. Until in just went downhill.
It went from being good to average to 👎🏼
Like the ending was such a disappointment. I went through all the drama just for it to end so quickly. And then omg the supposedly “plot twist” was so unnecessary.
And his reasoning for leaving her god. Don’t even get me started on that. You just accidentally murdered someone and the love of your life witnessed it and what do you do next? Throw a money bag and ask her to fuck off. Yeah. No. I was really excited to know what he said and what exactly happened but after reading the last few chapters, to say I was disappointed is an understatement.

What a great read!!! I am a huge fan of these two together. I always enjoy what they have written. I was hooked on Winter and Ethan's story from the beginning. If you think you know what this story is about, give it a shot. I bet it surprises you.

Vanity tells the story of Winter and Ethan. High school sweethearts, but then certain circumstances tore them apart. Fast forward 12 years until they find each other again. But is that a good thing, or a bad thing?

There was some twists and turns, some angst, and a plot that kept me engaged. I don't know that I would really call this an enemies to lovers story, but there is some animosity. But their story and journey, yeah that kept me hooked!!! Well done ladies!!

A lot of things went through my head. I as a reader am quite picky on the books I read. The blurb instantly pulled me in, but as I read the book there were parts that I didn’t really enjoy and spoiled the book for me personally. Though there were also parts I quite enjoyed. I won’t be spoiling anything, but as you know both characters have been separated for over 12 years. Honestly the reason why they split was all his fault and his words truly annoyed me. How did he not expect to hurt her. That was where I considered him a fool, but I presumed from the authors point of view, he was just a “young man” freaked out and did stupid things. But what really annoyed me was the whole man whore perspective. I absolutely despise the whole manwhore and virgin girl cliche. During the High school memories I get the glimpse of him being a manwhore, though I am still not clear if Ethan was Winter’s first, but there are two parts that truly annoyed me. One was when he was explaining about his assistant who was only used then and no where else, and how he fucked her. That was such an unneeded detail, that ruined his character for me. I don’t expect him to be a monk, but he is constantly portrayed as this man who sleeps around a lot and is not doing an amazing job trying to find Winter. It also comes up when near the end of the book, another character who is a Cover Girl model appears. I don’t remember her name so I will call her the Cover Girl and she was irrelevant too. Once again it talks about had Winter not come into his life again, he would have fucked her. I did not need to know that. Meanwhile not once does it show Winter being with another man, or thinking of another, besides Jered and he well.... let’s not talk about it. But it’s presumed that Ethan broke Winter so much that she has not been with another. And that peeved me a lot. In my mind I forgave him a bit when it talks about how he slept in the guest bedroom while trying to find her.

Over all I give this book a 3.5. The characters were kind of annoying. I get that some women get emotional and she was tired of being in a stuck situation, but I felt like Winter was simply weak. Not necessarily a mat, but I wanted her to be this ruthless, cold robber which was how she was portrayed in the first chapter. Meanwhile honestly I saw Ethan as a manwhore who was slightly better, but he is definitely not close to being one of my favorite male characters. The plot was okay, I did like it, but it’s nothing with a wow factor, though I love the name Winter. I personally was simply hoping for mores

This was the first time I've read anything from these two before, and I LOVED IT!! I can't wait to read more from them!

I wasn't for sure what to expect coming into this book, but once I read the first chapter I was hooked!!! I couldn't put it down!!!

Winter and Ethan were an amazing pair to follow and to try to figure out what was going on! I LOVED IT!

They had met when they were younger, and fell in love while they were hot-wiring cars and getting away with it. But then an accident happened, and Ethan sent Winter away. She's been gone 12 long years, and she's back!! But she doesn't know who's house she's about to rob.

Ethan doesn't know that Winter is about to pick her way back into life, and into his safe......

FINALLY She's back in his life, but she's still scared about what happened when they were younger, and what emotions, and people that might bring back into their lives.

Can they come to an agreement?
Can Ethan get Winter back into his life, and away from the life she's living now?

I really enjoyed the storyline, and the characters so much! I loved the writing style of these two as well! Kept me on the edge of my seat, and turning those pages!

Some of my fave quotes were:
1. He's fucking ruined me. I loved him. and he left me behind. - OH ETHAN!!
2. I've been sleeping in the one of the guest rooms for years, waiting for the day she'd come back to me. - He'd been waiting for her for all those years!! *Swoon Moment*

Contemporary romance is not my thing usually, but I decided to read it because I've read the authors before and I love their work, so I gave it a shot, and OMG what an amazing book this was and I am so glad I read it. This is a must read!
The plot is fantastic, so much happens, so many unexpected events and characters, it is interesting, it is fun, it is gripping, it is so much more than I would expect from any story. I devoured the book and loved every minute of it.
Oh, and the characters, the characters were so much fun. Not just Winter, who is an amazingly capable, skilled, strong and resilient woman with so much passion, but also Ethan, who never gives up, and does everything to make things right. The amount of love in this book is immense.
Then there are some interesting side characters, like Jered, Clive, and Marsden. Don't get me wrong, they are quite opposite of lovable but I absolutely loved how the authors made them and developed them. I enjoyed all the interactions with them.
The story is situated in the world not only bordering on crime, but balancing between crime and legitimate business, then dipping back into crime. It is also a story of how much people's lives change in 12 years and how much they grow and change.
I loved this story immensely. Not only because it was fantastic but because it also reminded me how much I love this writing duo. Thank you for this book from the bottom of my heart.

Twelve years ago they were everything to each other, both lovers and partners in crime.

Now they are nothing.

One job which should of been simple, suddenly becomes complicated with the appearance of him.

What does this mean, and more importantly what happens next..?

I admit I didnt read the blurb before I read this, and thus was somewhat suprised.

Savannah Rose creates the kind of reads that leave you gasping for breath usually.

But I failed to feel emotionally connected or involved with the characters this time around. There was no desire to know more which saddened me greatly.

The storyline is different from what I've read before but that's not a bad thing.

It's written well, flows nicely and is all tied up with a nice shiny bow at the end, but for me personally it didnt rock my world or leave me with a new book boyfriend.

Thus I'm only giving this 3.5 stars.

I enjoyed the story we have two High School sweethearts that all of a sudden come into some issues and end up having to split up. The story is full of turmoil and drama that the two main characters have to deal with but over the course of time they move on with their lives. Fast forward to 12 years later and they come back into contact with each other. For me like a few of the other reviews say this didn't really feel like an enemies to lovers story but more a second chance romance which I love either way. I think they did a wonderful job with the characters in the plot to the story I don't want to give away too much but it is a very enjoyable book. I think that you will enjoy this book very much if you take the chance on reading it these authors have written great work in the past in the book did not disappoint.

This was my first book by this duo and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The story is about two individuals, Winter and Ethan, who are high school sweethearts but then part ways, only to enter each other’s lives once again 12 years later. I will not give away anything else, so you will have to grab the book to find out what happens and if they have their HEA.

I really enjoyed the journey of these characters and their individual development, both while together and apart. There were some surprises that I did not see coming and parts that I felt were rushed, but overall it was a solid story! I also would classify it as more of a second chance romance vs enemies to lovers, but I enjoy both tropes so that did not bother me at all! I would definitely read another book by these two!

5 stars for Vanity by Savannah Rose and Amelia Gates . This book was breath taking . I was enthralled right from the beginning with the prologue and kept in rapture waiting to see how it would end. I recently read the Trinity High Books from these two and I loved them , so I was hoping going into this book that it would be just as good and I was not let down. Winter is a straight up bada** and knows how to get a job done . However, I love that she doesn’t know what to do with Ethan . I am telling you this book is romantic suspense with a little mob romance thrown in . If you loves these genres you can’t go wrong with this book . I am looking forward to reading more from these authors .

Think to Catch a Thief meets the heat between George Clooney and Jennifer Lopez in the movie Out of Sight then youll kind of get the idea what this book is slightly about. Winter (FMC) and Ethan were high school lovers until certain events ripped them apart and their lives went in different directions. In the course of the book though they end up back in each others lives but staying that way proves complicated. Omg this book was knockout. Just when i thought id worked it all out it threw me for a loop an i flaming well loved it. Just a damn great read

Let me preface by saying I thoroughly enjoyed this book. However, I hated HATED Ethan with a passion until the last few chapters. He was such a jerk and I thought there was nothing redeemable about him. But that last major scene really turned it around for me, and showed he could set aside his own wants and needs to do something to save Winter.

Winter was a great FMC. Yes, there were a few times I hated how easily she gave into Ethan, but I understood why she did. I also was not expecting the twist at the end and betrayal she faced yet again.

This book had me hooked from the moment that I started reading. I could not put it down and proceeded to finish it in one sitting. It moves along at the perfect reading speed which made for a comfortable read, has interesting characters that you cannot help but fall in love with and want to know more about and a story that will not let you down. This is a must read and must be added to your TBR list, no doubt about it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this great Enemies to Lovers Romance by Savannah Rose and Amelia Gates. The premise was different from anything I've read before and I loved the unique circumstances of how the 2 main characters end up seeing each other again. I also enjoyed how they evolved over the course of the book. If you would like an entertaining, quick read, with just enough drama to keep you turning pages, Vanity will work perfectly for you! 4 Fantastic Stars!

I really enjoyed this. Winter and Ethan's story pulled me in from the start. I like how tough Winter is and that she doesn't let people walk all over her. Her banter and connection with Ethan were great. I liked the dual POV and look into the past, they give a rounded view of the story.

There some twists and surprises that I definitely didn't expect. It's an intriguing storyline that kept me hooked and glued to the pages.

I absolutely loved this book! I was sucked in from the first page! Winter and Ethan knew each other from high school, then circumstances tore them apart. They end up in each other's lives again, but their road isn't an easy one. This book is filled with characters you'll love, with a great storyline, and a plot that flowed effortlessly. It's definite must read!

Vanity tells the story of Winter and Ethan, high school sweethearts that have been separated for 12 years. I'm not sure I would call them enemies, but there is definitely turmoil between the two. The book alternates between Winter and Ethans' point of view as well as looking back to the past. I'm not always a big fan of that but it works well for this story. I also liked the like plot twist towards the end. Winter is a strong character and definitely not your typical female lead. Overall a good read.

Really enjoyable story of winter and Ethan loved how both of these characters were highly flawed with both having done things in the past that were unsavoury and both had struggled with their conscience but had never forgotten how they felt about each other this book is well worth a read with plenty going on and a nice surprise near the end

Thrill ride.

I was hooked from the first page. The characters were alive and the story flowed with ease. Never a slow moment. There was a magnetic pull towards each other that couldn’t be resisted. It made me weak in the knees. Each twist had me hanging on for dear life. A fun thrill ride.

This is my first both from both of these authors and I can say that I'm truly sad because if their other books are like this one I have been clearly missing a lot. This story is about Winter and Ethan and overall I loved it, it's one of those grabs you from the get-go and you need to know more as soon as possible kind of book. Great book I can't wait to read more from this author.
