I was not expecting the book to be so religious
I probably should have better read the description on the Goodreads giveaway. It probably would have mentioned the heavy Christian influence of this book. I was only going off of the cover.
Though if you are into that, you’ll probably really enjoy this book! Just make sure you read all of the safety information pertaining to fasting that is also in the book. Up until that part, I was highly skeptical, but mentioning that it isn’t for everyone, what side effects could happen if not careful, and offering tips and tricks, made it feel less like snake oil selling, and more like they actually care about people’s health.
The remaining 30-40% of the book is recipes. I would try to do them all in a completionist fashion, but quite a few of them ask for A.) tons of ingredients making it a little overwhelming, B.) Expensive ingredients which would really add up if I did them all, and C.) Ingredients that I would have no idea how to find like “coconut aminos”, “arrowroot powder”, and “sheep cheese”. I would cook a couple of them, but not all.
Thank you for the book.
