Assertively Apolitical: "Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting.”

For more than 40 years, Greg lived and worked outside of the United States. That compelled him to view things from a broader perspective. As a guest and teacher in another country, he was forced to seek genuinely universal truth. His job was not to force his idiosyncratic Americanisms on his country of residence. He presents here a collection of thoughts, distilled by decades of reflection on things truly indispensable and universal in scope. God's kingdom is a spiritual kingdom. It cannot be encircled by geographical boundaries. It is governed by its own set of rules. Our quest is to keep its principles to the fore. More than ever, we need much insight and even more composure. "...with an eternal gospel to proclaim...to every nation and tribe and language and people." Revelation 14:6

Just what I needed! A great reminder that the Gospel of Christ is not a political position or party, it transcends all earthly standards and is a force that changes hearts. The Gospel cannot be described by a list of political preferences or cultural peculiarities. It binds us to our brothers and sisters better than any creed or platform. This is an excellent read for election season.
