The Murder In The Rain by Moitrayee Bhaduri - A short and sweet engaging thriller
Book: The Murder In The Rain by Moitrayee Bhaduri Genre: Crime Thriller Rated: 13+ Synopsis: The Murder In the Rain by Moitrayee Bhaduri revolves around the mysterious murder of Rakesh Ponkshe by few henchmen in the rainy night. KP Singh is in charge to investigate Rakesh's death. The rest deals with finding the culprit behind the murder.
Review: The Murder In The Rain by Moitrayee Bhaduri is a short, yet engaging thriller with simple narrative and it's really challenging for an author to deliver an intriguing thriller for just 30+ pages. Moitrayee Bhaduri efficiently brought up the thrills and chills through this book and it gives a good lead to the upcoming sequel, which it has yet another four parts that revolves around KP Singh's investigation.
Positives: 📖 Excellent narrative style 📖 Intriguing as well as short and sweet
Negatives: 📖 A short and sweet novels can be lagged in minor details when it comes to thrillers. This book too has little bit of detailing errors which can be an added advantage for engaging thriller.
Overall: The Murder In The Rain by Moitrayee Bhaduri is a short and sweet intriguing thriller to read.
Review: Since I have loved her other two books, I purchased this immediately. And I dont know what to say, I am confused. The Story introduces KP Singh the main characters in this as well as the upcoming book, his past and his present. Not sure if that will be mentioned in the other book or so. So KP Singh is set to investigate the murder of his maids husband and how he comes to the truth is what the story is.
What I liked about the book is its story, short yet powerful. But I didnt like is its too short just 28 pages.I felt i was watching Crime Patrol( Dont hate me for this, I do love watching it.) I just completed the book in 15 mins and I was like why did it get over soon. I am confused on reviewing for it as its so short, I dont want to give out on the end. I would have liked if the pages and content were atleast a 100 page.
If you want a quick read, go for it. But for me I was disappointed.
Rakesh Ponkshe, a middle -aged businessman, lived with his wife and his son. He used to borrow money from moneylenders and his own employees.
Rakesh's wife, Leena was very happy that her son, Tinu got admission in an English medium school. Next day, she got the news that Rakesh was murdered by someone. And then began the investigation.
The book was a short story only of 28 pages. That's why the characters couldn't tie the story. But if this story were a bit long, it could have left some lingering effect. The book cover was really beautiful. The language and the writing style of the book was easily understandable. I'll wait for the future releases of the series.
The book begins well and slowly yet intricately unlocks the layers of mysteries surrounding the gruesome murder. I liked KP Singh's investigation procedure, but was dissatisfied at the rather simplistic end. Looking forward for more mysteries to unfold in the series ahead.
Week 47 book 43 The murder in the rain Book 1 Inspector KP Singh series by Moitrayee Bhaduri Rating: 3/5
This is book 1 in a series of whodunits being investigated by Inspector KP Singh the protagonist. Short and engaging, they are decent time pass. I'm gonna read the others in the series too!
This is a pathetic attempt at writing. There is absolutely no character arcs. No layers. No excitement and plot thickening. The author really needs to work hard.
Well crime patrol in a story.. that's what this is.. concept is fresh..but needs polishing ..that may include increasing the length and building the characters a bit more ..
I would not divulge any spoilers here, but the story begins well as a whodunnit when middle class businessman Rakesh Ponkshe is murdered by two men and his corpse thrown into a pond to eliminate evidence. So, who killed Rakesh and why? Well, you’ll obviously have to read the book to find out. I liked the climax and the couple of twists involved there. The story has a pace and is perfect like a delicious midnight snack that you devour fast before anyone else finds out. Read the full review here: https://one-and-a-half-minutes.com/20...
