Bella Di Corte wrote a book that transported me to Italy, to take in the sights, scents, and sounds. It’s the terracotta pots, wonderful mismatched but beautiful ceramic patterns, the colors, the stones. It’s garlic, lemon, pasta, cherries, and wines. It’s Brando and Scarlett’s heartbeat, the sound of a breeze, the splash of a dive into the sea.
It’s both brilliant and dark. Brando Brando Brando! (Again you cant say his name once) He is part humbled hero that shies away, it gives him this innocence, and yet he is a beast! Let’s talk a bit about him. He is a deep sea diver, its dangerous, and intense. And yet he is the best at it. He truly can be anything, and I feel like this big change is coming his way. There is only so long you can keep your family’s secrets. I wonder what’s next for him. Now that some secrets are out and he had to protect his wife’s honor. Now that we saw that he would kill for her, he would die for her and look for her in the next life.
Scarlett becomes one with Italy and I love that she does. I love that she embraces, changes, and learns. But she is still Scarlett. She still wants to go back to their home on Snow and teach ballet. There are things ahead, dark and I believe terrible things. But I hope and pray that their love withstands.
Amazing scenery of Tuscany, secrets revealed and the meeting of the beautiful and most dangerous crime family, The Fausti’s. Brando is being tested. His family wants him. They want bloodshed and a leader and to do that somebody dangerous sees the appeal and value of Scarlett and her dancing.
Ballerina Girl and Beast!
Their love is beyond anything I have ever read, their souls are so connected it feels like they are one. The way Scarlett is an empath, the way they feel one another when they are a part. What is going on here?
Everything is so much more. More smiles, more scenes, more danger, more sensuality. Their love making is decadent.
The terrace scene ! Oof!
The side characters are great and hope to read more of them.
On to the next!
