Great and quick read to upskill your career goals. The summary after every chapter helps with quick recap. All her points are backed up with specific professional scenarios from her career which was easier to digest. I felt like talking to a professional mentor, while reading.

Great advice! This book had useful stories that you could draw lessons from and really apply to your life. Maya shares all the tips she learned from her own career, from mistakes and how she fixed them, and from things she did that were a success.
When I finished reading I felt like I have to read it again and take notes! There was a lot packed into this book.
Following the advice in this book would definitely make you more successful in your career. Some of it you might have known already but needed a reminder, or how to apply it more effectively, so it is very much worth reading.
The book is best geared toward people with aspirations to rise in the corporate world, but could be helpful for anyone that has to work and collaborate with others.

I want my money back.
I am very unhappy with so many things: the writing style, how unnecessarily long this was, so many of the advices were common sense. And in a big part, this felt centered around the writer, her stories and her life lessons. Which I am having a hard believing they are for every one.
Overall, I wish this was shorter.

This was the first selection for our Virtual Book Club and had the joy of having Maya kick off the first meeting. I enjoyed how the book was not theoretical every piece of advice was followed with actual action items on how to apply it. It helped me change my perspective on several things as well as shed light on things I need to work on. Looking forward to sending her an update in the not-to-distant future!

Lots of hot tips
Maya's book is packed with tons of information and great questions to trigger your critical thinking. There's is not excuse to not become invaluable on your regular 9-5 or at your business.
In some this book is a call to sanity. Yes, sanity. You can expect different results if you keep doing the same. You must change and love what you do.

very insightful and useful information
This book was a good mix of personal stories and practical tips and advice which I liked. I learnt a lot from Maya’s own experiences. After each chapter, there is a summary of the main actions which is great to refer back to when I need a reminder.
