It rings synonymous with hustle and to bear it means you personify what it is to be a boss. On the streets of Houston it holds major weight and is never to be taken lightly. In their hood it brings status, garners respect, and defines loyalty. To break bread with a Broadus is an honor but to actually be a Broadus is to be part of a brotherhood. A legacy. A bond so unbreakable that it would take several armies of adversaries to penetrate it. Taheed Ehsan Broadus has carried his family name with pride since birth. A natural born leader, no one was shocked when he turned the empire his brother placed in his hands into a thriving business that quickly amassed a fortune so huge it would be enjoyed by generations of Broadus’ to come after him. The challenging feat also resulted in him being crowned the newest king of the streets. On top of having any and everything he could ever hope for, Tah was also able to reconnect with the love of his life. Like a moth to a flame, he’s been drawn to and infatuated with the beautiful Rian Burnett since childhood. With his run in the streets nearing its end, Taheed is ready to focus all of his attention on building a life with Rian but with multiple enemies secretly plotting his downfall, the path leading to the simple life is congested and jammed packed with road blocks. For years, the game has been nothing but good to him but when he discovers the identity of those responsible for attempting to dismantle the Broadus legacy, he’s exposed to the dirty side of it. In his eyes, no one is to be trusted. Not even Rian, who he learns hasn’t been as forthcoming and honest as she vowed to always be. The most shocking revelation however, teaches him that blood isn’t always thicker than water.

Goos read

Listen!! I thought Rian would have moved on from Taheed's selfish way but nnnnnoo..I appreciated that Rian did leave and tried to move on with her life but Taheed was not having it. Taheed was foul for telling Alani that could have been his family member and Rian dummy self heard him. They deserve each other's from that point on.

Taheed. Taheed. Taheed.

This book picked up right where Emmanuel left off and I loved every minute of it. A lover and a thug describes Taheed's stubborn butt to a T. For a second there he almost pissed me off with his actions towards Rian after their misunderstanding but he got it together. My favorite part was that hospital scene when he low key checked the heck outta Levi and claimed his place in Rians life. I can't wait to read Casei's book next. Happy that we got to catch up with Donovan and Manny as well. This was another great read from Shantaé and I can't wait to read the final installment of The Broadus Brothers

YES, YES it was worth the wait!

Taheed, boi you had me wanting to jump in the book and shake you up one maybe two good times. You clearly lost your mind treating my girl Rian like that. So glad she is NOTHING like her sister though, she definitely knew when to move on bout her life. She left him with that jewel and ghosted his butt. Loved that all was made right. Now that betrayal though!?!?!?! I ain't feel not an speck of dust about his demise either. Big C you next bet its gone be baby boy to do it. Shoot I wouldn't be surprised if it's Momma Ginger either. Talk about some low down dirty $#!%. I don't care how long I have to wait for the final Broadus Brothers book I know its gone be FIRE.

Taheed was definitely worth the wait! Connections made, issues resolved and new questions left to be answered in Casei's story. Didn't expect the twists, thought she was going right and she made a quick left. Secrets run deep and will gut you once they ae revealed. Big C and Jacque wasn't love....manipulation at its best. Rian knowing her worth and having the support from her family and friends was everything to me. For men to be man enough to stop stuntin' and and say you are wrong....that's something right there. Taheed was broken to his core, so he broke those around him.
Wish he could have done it sooner! The Broadus Brothers together, building to be happy and take care of their own. Can't wait for Casei's book, making that connection with Trigga....hmmmmm

I love these Broadus brothers ❤

I love these guys and I enjoyed this book. It's been so long I had to go back and kind of catch up from book 1 just to remember what the hell was going on. A lot of stuff is still left hanging so I'm definitely looking forward to book 3 in the series. Taheed and Rian grew up together and they've always been attracted to each other so to see them come together is very satisfying. I love the banter between the two of them when they reminisce about old times. I like the way Taheed bossed up in the hospital you got to do what you got to do. Good book good story.

Well written, lots of drama...and love. Taheed was tripping at some points. I can only imagine what Casei's book will be little. I enjoy this authors writing style.

Taheed Broadus!

Wow, talk about a great book. Taheed was the perfect example of lover, thug and all around man. This book was well written and the character development was awesome. I loved the relationship between the brothers and the couples. Rian and Taheed got on my nerves at times, but I’m glad that they finally got it together. I can’t wait to read about Casei and hope to find out the deal about Glo. I’d definitely recommend this book read, along with the others in this series.

Good story

I did enjoy the storyline. My only issue was that there was a lot going on and no resolution. I want to know what happened at their moms house and why Manny is mad at Ginger. I think Ri gave Taheed way too many chances and he kept messing up. I’m glad they got their HEA, but he should have had to work harder to win her over.

Taheed and Rian were emotionally draining! These two took me through it with out really needing to. The love between them has been there for decades and yet they both find ways to sabotage what could be happiness! Shantaé making Taheed the second book in this series was brilliant because he definitely had the middle child characteristics. This book may have set my emotions on 100 but it read as a bridge from Emmanuel leading into Casei and it was exceptional just like book one.

I hate to say this, but I didn’t love Rian. She was an okay female, but I liked her more as just Bre’s best friend. Rian made decisions in her life that caused both her and Tah pain just as he did but ultimatums when she knew from jump what it was doesn’t fly with me. I can’t say I disagree with all of her decisions because Taheed was definitely feeling himself throughout their friendship/relationship.

Taheed was grimy and petty at times. Although his moves when it came to Rian were questionable (most of the time) I still found myself laughing at his audacity. The “I’m going to do what I please and you’re going to just deal with it” vibe he had was a little too close to entitlement in my eyes. This man had me wanting to fight him, kiss him, laugh at him and console him throughout this entire book.

All that being said they worked great together. Their connection was explosive. Shantaé is becoming one of my favorites because her books are so complex and there are always multiple things happening at once, but it all flows together perfectly. I can’t wait to experience Casei, I have a feeling the “man in charge” energy he is giving off will have him in the number one spot… quickly!

OH MY

These Broadus Brothers are no joke. I thought Emmanuel was something but Taheed is my new favorite of the two younger Brothers. I have to admit that there were a few times I was giving him the side eye and wanted tell him a few things myself. 🤨😂. However as the story progressed my heart softened up toward him and then it broke for him when he discovered the source of the betrayal and then agin when out of pig headedness and hurt feelings he pushed Rian so far away there didn’t seem like there would ever be a way for them to be together as a couple again🥹.
Yes there was a great deal of violence and in some cases we couldn’t figure out why some of it was happening…but when we do find out I’m just gonna say It’s gonna blow your mind. Cause I thought I had figured it out but I was way off and the reason is really going to have you shaking your head

I have to say there were two occasions while reading the book that I laughed so loud and hard that I was glad I was home alone. The first time was when Taheed walked into the Hospitial room and convinced Rian to send her visitor home😂😂❤️❤️❤️. The other time was when he overheard a conversation between Rian and Bri and than what transpired after that. Taheed is not goes hard in the streets , when it comes to the women he loves He goes twice as hard.

This was a great read that picked up right where book 1 leaves off and ties up a lot of loose ends and I’m hopeful that as I move on to book three all of my other unanswered questions
I’m glad I don’t have to wait for the last book to be released❤️

Lawd hammercy Taheed

This fella put me AND Rian through it. While the love between Rian and Taheed was apparent the journey to get there was fraught with pride, miscommunication, and a lot of heartbreak. I wanted to shake Taheed every time he got in the way of himself and pushed the love of his life out of the way. I understand that betrayal from those he loved put him on edge but to mistreat Rian...nah...his road of redemption had to come correct. Kudos for Rian not allowing Tah to destroy her and instead her need for peace set the tone for their reconciliation. Tah had to work for it, he deserved it because of his past attitude. I loved their "remember when" moments because it spoke of their history sealing their future. The HEA didn't come easily but it did. There are some lingering questions and I hope Casei's book will address it. On to book 3.

TAHEED...WOW

This book was so good that I couldn't stop reading. I loved how it picked up where Emmanuels story left off. Taheed was a man with two sides; a lover and a thug who was about his business. Although there was quite a bit of back and forth between Rian and Taheed, there was no denying these two childhood friends turned lovers were meant to be together. I felt the distance away from each other was needed for these two to focus on self and reflect on where their hearts truly belonged and if it was worth a second chance. It definitely paid off because what they envisioned in their childhood came to fruition in adulthood with an added bonus to completer their union. Can't wait to read about Casei.

Tah Is Something Else

I was starting to feel as if Tah just loved sabotaging his relationship with Rian. I wanted to fight Tah so bad throughout this book when it came to him and Rian. It was like he wanted her but at the same time didn’t. But I loved how Rian wasn’t going to keep chasing Tah especially when it came to telling him news of her expecting. When things got on the right track for them my heart was happy because they really are meant for one another and I loved their throwback stories. Now as for other parts of the book of them solving who tried to kill Tah and Manny, I was sadden by those events. I’m happy Piper wasn’t harmed. Big C, the Broadus Brother’s father was wrong and it’s sad he wanted to harm his own blood.

4.5 Stars

I'm a couple of days late with my review so I'm a keep it short since I'm already halfway done with 'Casei'.

This book kept my attention although it started to drag around the 80% mark. The reason I gave it 4.5 stars is because I think the author added the pregnancy piece to stretch the storyline, and it started to get a little boring after a while. I guess it made sense though since the book is really about Taheed and his relationship with Rian, but it just got a little long-winded towards the end. Just a little bit. The grammatical errors were a bit distracting also, and I found myself having to re-read a few sentences a few times just to understand what the author was trying to say.

Anyway, I was very surprised they handled the Jacque situation so early in the book, but what really caught my eye was Casei's reaction to Trigga once he stated who his Mom was. In my opinion, it was the perfect segue to Casei's story because I'm sure another bomb is about to be dropped on the Broadus family and change the dynamic even more.

To love a Broadus🥰

What will I say first🤷🏽‍♀️ Taeheed was everything and them some and I was blown away by this man from jump! The love and intricate story weaved by Shantae was a reader’s dream🥰 The main characters not only made you stop and take notice but has you straight laughing out loud and crying for the. To get it together 🤦🏾‍♀️. The entire course of family, friends, and acquaintances made this story click on a whole other level and I can’t wait to see what big bro get into. No spoiler alerts but high fives and fist bumps to Ms. Shantae for a true page turner. Keep writing and I’ll keep reading and rocking with you! Awesome story!

Good read

I really want to give these books 5 stars but it's always conflicted feelings. The parts that were good were really good, but for the most part I had to skip more that half the chapters to get to the really good parts. There were sooooo many boring parts that could have been left out that would have easily made this a 5 star book. I really like the characters and the storyline is pretty good, but the dragging was unforgivable. Please please please don't make Casei's a drag. I was so ready to end this, that I just skipped all the way to the end after the hospital scene.

Hood Love

I sure was taken for a nice ride with this one! The most disappointing part was the disloyalty, but not even that overshadowed the real genuine love! These Broadus Brothers are absolutely amazing with their love, loyalty and fight with and for one another. Having learned so much since Manny's book real brought everything full circle. I'm hoping Ginger gets a real new beginning and enjoys being a gma! Truly enjoyed this long awaited story! Now on to Casei's story! Great job Shantae!🥰💯👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🎊🎉

Yeah It's Good!!

Cool Hand Luke! That's what they call him and he lives up to it ,until love and misunderstandings come a knocking. There is the head of the family and feels as if everyone is not to be trusted. Along with trying to tie up loose ends and navigate life,Taheed is thrown for a curve when he thinks ,that Rian the love of his life betrays him. This is not only good writing but this is one really good story and so so sexy to boot.Take a look inside the world of the one they call an old soul and cool under pressure.

I really enjoyed the book and will be reading the next one!
My only complaint is about Rain taking Taheed back. I don't feel like he deserved her and he got off way too easily. I think she should have cut her ties with him and married someone else. It's like all of the hurtful and disrespectful things he did just vanished. Luckily, this next book will not be about them and we FINALLY get to read about the infamous Casei. Thank you for the series!

♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

This book picked up right where Emmanuel left off. Oh lord, I was loving every minute till I got halfway in the story. Smh the disloyalty in their team had me fire up. Rain was Pissing me off too. I didn’t like how she was leading Levi on. She knew Levi had feelings for her from the jump. She did him dirty in my eyes. Anyway, I’m loving the series so far. On to the last installment of the series.

Meh

The Broadus brothers series has a lot of potential but needs a lot of editing. The story line was engaging but there is just too much fluff (unnecessary commentary) I skipped several sections because they felt repetitively death extra. I will say that unlike Emanuel story, i did enjoy the addition of the epilogue. It provided some closure that we didn’t see with manny n bre.

The Broadus Brothers strikes again

While I enjoyed reading Taheed’s story, he played entirely too much. Rian allowed this dude to just do too damn much. Ain’t no way he would have been allowed to play with my emotions like that. Emmanuel is still my favorite. Wish the author would have been more clear in what was disclosed about Manny without MMS having to read between the lines. This book exposed some secrets and put those dirty mugs on blast! Casai is up next!

okay then Tah!!

Y’all I ain’t gon lie. Taheed had me SCRESSED asf! He was so stubborn and sometimes downright mean that I had to close the book a few times and let him be. One thing I can’t deny though is now he loved his woman. He knew Ri was his one even when he was acting a fool & what I really love is that Ri made him sweat like a sinner on first Sunday! This was such a cute story. I can’t wait to see was Case has in store

It's a good series so far

I like the brothers just some parts it feels like a lot filler to make the book longer. I like that Rian and Taheed got together. But I felt Rian wasn't right to lead Levi on. Yea she kept saying he knew what it was. But she also didn't stop it when she knew she was going go back to Taheed. She somewhat used him to me.

Something Different!

What I loved most about this book is being able to know every characters point of view! I’ve never seen this done and it paid off. It was really nice to know what all the characters were thinking. I love the love the brothers have for each other! Can I get a Taheed without the angry side lol??

Enjoyed

I enjoyed the journey of Taheed and Rian even though they worked my nerves a little. They both had there flaws but I was glad they got through them. Taheed had to do the unthinkable and i know that messed with him. Them Broadus brothers ain't no joke and I wouldn't want to be on their bad side
