We got married two years ago. I haven’t seen her since.
We met in Afghanistan. She was a soldier. I was a geek with a laptop. I never thought I stood a chance, but a few secret trysts together proved otherwise.
Tragedy struck and it tore us apart. I never stopped loving her.
Now, Snake Eyes is looking for me and they sent two of their best assassins to track me down. There’s only one person I can trust to keep me safe... and she hates my guts.
Caleb Fawn. My estranged wife. This should be fun.

BROKEN LOVE is a full-length novel about true love, revenge, and everything in-between. It’s the fourth book in the KILLER LOVE saga by Tabatha Drake. The previous books must be read first.
Author’s Note: This book was previously published as Love and Wargames. It has been revised for new readers, including extended and deleted scenes for old readers to enjoy.
I'm loving this series a second time around. In Broken Love we get a lot more of Fox's history in the army. We also get the history of Caleb, Fox and Boxcar, it helps to fill in some of the holes in the previous books. I love Caleb and her no nonsense attitude, her strength and her vulnerability. I could feel her love for Boxcar even without her saying it. I love Boxcar he is smart, strong mentally and knows when to let go and when to hang on. To me Boxcar and Caleb are the ying and yang of each other. I could feel Boxcar's love for Caleb. I think Caleb and Boxcar are my favorite couple of the Snake Eyes Series. Tabatha Drake gives you the suspense you are looking for and lots of action. All the books in the Killer Love Series are a giant build up to the finale Endless Love. Even with this being my second time reading this, in my opinion it keeps you on the edge of your seat turning the pages. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader's copy.
This is the forth book in this highly entertaining and addictive series. As there is a core plot that is unfolder over the course of the series I recommend you start at book one and read the books in order. This book focuses on Boxcar and Caleb. I thought that this was a really special couple. They had all the normal things that I like in a strong couple. I loved their powerful attraction, steamy chemistry and the tangible emotional connection they shared. But, there was just something special about them. A spark?, an energy?, I wish I could have figured it out for sure but in the end I just went with the fact that I felt that they were each halves until they met one another and then became whole. This is my independent, impartial review.
Afghanistan is a rough place to fall in love. But it was love at first sight for Boxcar when he first saw Caleb. She was tough but beautiful. The shared attraction boiled over into marriage but Caleb was commitment shy. She ran and after 2 years Boxcar is back. He also brings troubles with him. Another piece to the puzzle of Snake Eyes. Danger, excitement and love.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
How can you not love a woman named Caleb? You know she is badass and hard as nails. Take no prisoners and all that. Loyal to a fault. But full of foibles just like anyone else. Boxcar. What kind of a nickname is that? It’s a name for a wanderer, a street kid, a nomadic kid. I love the instant attraction he has for Caleb. The awe, the respect, the love he can’t hide. The faithful puppy dog that won’t go away. Surprisingly these two work. I enjoyed the dynamics of their relationship.
The Snake Eyes series just keeps getting BETTER with every story that drops! It's like a complex puzzle you have to put together with each book being a piece of the puzzle. Broken Love had so much action and suspense. I kept wondering what's going to happen next? Who's next to pop up out the woodworks?? You have this person looking for this person, and that person looking for someone. It was such a page turner! I loved getting to know the back story of Caleb and Boxcar. Caleb and Boxcar first appeared in Secret Love and left you wanting to know more. Since then their story has been one of intrigue. These two met years back in Afghanistan when Boxcar was saved by Caleb and Fox. A threat to both Boxcar and Caleb brings these two back together after years of estrangement. The love these two have for each other is truly tested. Caleb was so bad a** and Boxcar was just, pure genius! He left the sapiosexual in me drooling. I'm like is there no system he can't hack, no locks he can't pick? People underestimated him because of his nerdiness. But, Box proved that the mind can be the most dangerous of all. Him and Caleb might be total opposites but, so perfect for each at the same time. I can't wait for the next piece to this mind boggling puzzle that is Snake Eyes. I received a copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review.
ENOUGH SAID! If you have not read the original series by Tabatha Kiss, well, buckle up buttercup. The new and improved edition is on your doorstep. Now, this is a series....not really a standalone, because all of these characters all have one thing in common. Please read the following before reading this book...
KILLER LOVE - Luka and Sofia (mafia) SECRET LOVE - Fox and Dani (assassin) TAINTED LOVE - Dante and Lucy (hitman)
I freaking loved Boxcar, the hacker nerd with a big....heart. And we have Caleb, the female soldier with a boy's name. When these two come together it's fireworks and fire extinguishers.
Boxcar ends up in the Middle East Desert in a collapsed building sending out help signals on a military system he hacked. He ends up getting saved by Caleb and Fox.
Now, why is a hacker, NOT employed by the military, in the Middle East near death? Well, I guess your just going to have to read this book to find out.
This is just the next stop in the series of taking down a secret criminal organization.
Now up....oh yes, the sexy British bounty hunter, Archer Allen and the scary beautiful bad @ss b!tch, Lilah Hart. WOOT! WOOT!
Title: Broken Love Author: Tabatha Drake Format: ebook Genre: Romance Second Chance, military, Suspense Standalone: Caleb and Boxcar’s story is told but the overarching story is continuing to build suspense and momentum Part of a Series: Book 4 in the Killer Love series POV: Caleb and Boxcar Steam Level: slow burn to toasty 5/5
The Killer Love series continues in Broken Love. We’ve met both Caleb and Boxcar in Fox’s story Secret Love, the twins in Dante and Lucy’s story Tainted Love. Tabatha Drake introduces another element into this epic storyline. Told between Then and Now Broken Love is riveting and heartbreaking. You’re rooting for Boxcar and Caleb - two unlikely heroes who save each other.
I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest and voluntary review.
The fourth book in this series and really does just get better than the last. This is Boxcar and Calebs story and one I was eager to keep reading. This author knows how to keep you hooked on her stories from the first page and they are absolutely well written and addicting.
This is such an amazing series. It just keeps getting better and better. Tabatha has a way with words that keeps you hooked until the end. Suspense, action, so good.
This one focuses more on the backgrounds of Caleb & boxcar. Wow. High suspense that keeps you wanting more. I received a free copy of the book & am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Caleb and Boxcar's story is the one of the most anticipated one for me. A man totally crazy and adores his lady in every way but a woman scared of something lasting after seeing loss may times. Caleb is one strong woman being in the military in the past and now owns an antique shop, she's physically tough but when it comes to the matters of the heart she's the most scared and doesn't believe in risks. Boxcar is the tech genius and smart in all things codes et al. He can build his own high tech security system, be rich by taking money from corrupt hoteliers by just cracking a few codes, get into any surveillance cameras for the military in the past. He's a total genius but one of the biggest weakness and his entire heart is caleb. He freaking worships her and she's everything to him. Sigh... Honestly Boxcar is the type of man with the way he loves Caleb that almost every girl wants and desires. His absolute and complete adoration of her, for him she's everything. I was swooning over his love for her. I also loved reading about fox and Caleb and boxcar, their time together in the desert. How they actually meet and why they are such good friends. All in all loved boxcar and loved this one. ❤️❤️
Boxcar! I love this guy so much. He is such a softy with a heart of gold who will fight for what he believes in - even if those he is fighting are so much bigger than him. I love everything about his and Caleb's story, the banter between them is so funny at time and other times you just want to bang their heads together.
This is book 4 in the Killer Love series. These books need to be read in order - but its well worth it!
Boxcar and Caleb meet in Afghanistan when the nerdy Boxcar hacks the military system sending out a military alert to get himself rescued. I probably should admit to a bookfreind crush on Boxcar and I nearly gave this book 4 stars because I found Caleb constantly fighting her strong attraction to him annoying... but honestly it was still a fab read
Seriously....how can the next book in this Killer Love series get better than the last one ! I have loved every single book in this series and they keep getting better and better, with this read focusing on Boxcar and Caleb, the two best friends of Fox and the ones who helped him. Now we finally get their story and bit of history on these three when they met in Afghanistan. Caleb was the lone female among the boys and became fast friends with Fox and they were the ones to rescue Boxcar when he found himself trapped in a bombed out house in Afghanistan. The story is full of surprises especially the relationship between Boxcar and Caleb which is revealed when he goes to see Caleb after staying away for two years to warn her of the Hart twins, assassins for Snake Eyes who are out to get her to get to Fox. The story is full of humour and had me chuckling throughout and flipping the pages with the suspense as the two find themselves in the cross hairs of the twins who are out to get Fox. There’s steam, humour, suspense and a great story behind these two that I couldn’t get enough of. Can’t wait for the next one in this series as not one of these reads have failed me yet !! *I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
Fantastic read. I loved it! Caleb is not your typical fmc and Boxcar is certainly not the typical mmc but they are amazing. Caleb and Boxcar both appeared in previous books of the series but this is their story. He's a computer nerd/hacker and she's an Afghan vet. The romance of this unlikely pairing began in Afghanistan when he tricked her and her team into rescuing him from a collapsed building. Things fell apart after a few days back in the states and they parted but danger and concern for a mutual friend has drawn them back together again a couple of years later. Will their story have a happy ending this time or is there just more heartbreak ahead?
I originally read this book under the title of Love and Wargames. I enjoyed this updated version just as much, if not more, as I did the original Whether writing under the name Tabatha Kiss or Tabatha Drake, this author is a must read for me. This exciting series is an awesome mix of romance, danger, action, and suspense. Every book is a five star read.
I received a free copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily.
This is the fourth book in the Killer Love saga. The books follow multiple couples but the underlying plot arcs cross all the books (I believe there will be 7 in total), and so they must be read in order. The couple in this book is Caleb and Boxcar. If you haven’t read the previous books, you might find spoilers for them here-proceed with caution. Like the preceding books, the prologue is set in the future, and it grabs you by the throat. Whatever is coming, it's huge and dangerous. These books are full of action and tension, and new characters are introduced. What I love about these books-the plot and the characters are etched in my head. I loved seeing former military Caleb coming to terms with her love for civilian Boxcar, and how Boxcar is a hero (really, an anti-hero) in his own right. The events and characters are ones you will remember for a long time. I hope Archer and Lilah are up next because I have a few questions I need answered!
I received a copy of this book. My honest review is voluntarily provided.
Boxcar is an unlikely hero. Caleb makes him brave.
Hacker, friend, goofy, smart,...husband? Boxcar is so much more than he seems. He sees himself as a chicken but he proves (again) that when it comes to those he cares about, he will rush into danger. Especially if that someone he cares about is Caleb, his wife.
And Caleb is not just the tough girl. She is more than she seems also. Definitely a tough nut to crack though. But wildly loyal.
She & Boxcar are seemingly oil and water, but they definitely mix.
All the delicious excitement carries on from the previous books. Snake Eyes is on the defense. We see how Boxcar, Caleb, and Fox met. And more threads to follow are revealed. We also get to know a certain former MI6 agent. Oh and also get more time with Lilah & Elijah.
I am loving this rebranded series and the changes from the original, Love and Wargames in this case. I love the humor, passion, action, friendship, and feels!! Bring on the next installment!

What happened between Boxcar and Caleb revealed! by sewsummore
Book four in the series and it is time to learn more about Boxcar and the woman named Caleb. While Boxcar was alway the computer geek, it was Caleb who fell in love with the man no-one else saw. He was her husband and even though she married him in when they were reeling from the death of their best friend, she tried to divorce him three days later. There was a deep attraction to him that she never admitted, but for him it was love at first sight and he never regretted his love or the time he waited for her to come back to him. As with the other books, there was plenty drama, suspense and fighting before Caleb comes to terms with the man she married. This book introduces a new player in the series and the snake eye twins play a role in this story as well. I really enjoyed all the action both physical and erotic in this book and look forward to the next book in the series.

Boxcar and Caleb! These two intrigued me from the first moment they were mentioned in a previous Killer Love book. Even reading this series in its new re-vamp version, I still had so many questions running through my head as I’ve forgotten a lot of things! And after reading the blurb again I couldn’t wait to get started on it. I loved the relationship Box and Caleb had together, they were both stubborn in their own way and I loved how that sometimes clashed with the other. They were such strong characters, both were fun, easy going and very quick to love. I loved all their interactions together and the back and forth they had between them. I loved the flashbacks the book had to the first time Boxcar and Caleb met out in the desert. I really enjoyed knowing what they went through when everything with Fox happened back then. It made the story more enjoyable to know exactly what they went through in those times together. This book had a mix of humour, emotion, action and hot scenes, it was such a good read and very enjoyable. I’m loving the continuation in the Killer Love series.
Ohhhhh Boxcar! He is a hacker extraordinaire with a Robin Hood complex. He has a nerdy, dirty heart that beats double time for landing himself in trouble and the machine of a solider with a man's name who exudes female persuasion, Caleb. On the surface, Boxcar and Caleb look to be a terrible match. Behind the scenes, the opposites are an emotional whiplash of work in progress. Humor, sexual tension, blood pumping scenes- it becomes utter mayhem as Snake Eyes is ready to take them both out to get what they want. Not if my favorite nerdy hero, Boxcar, has anything to say about it! GAH! I know I have said it before, but I cannot help but repeat it. As many times as I have read the Snake Eye's Series, reading the revised editions are like coming home but better! Love, Love, love these intricate stories and their multitude of smart, upfront characters! No matter how many times I read them, I am swept up in the crazy, sexy suspense from the very beginning! A MUST READ
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader's copy of this book. This series is like a puzzle, all the pieces fit together, and this is just another fantastic puzzle piece! I don't think it will hurt to read these out of order (until the final book, that one will need to be read last). This was a great book! While I did originally read this in the Snake Eyes Series previously published under Tabatha Kiss, I loved this book enough to want to re-read this as re-released. Calab is a strong heroine (even though she has a man's name) & Boxcar is quite the computer nerd! Both are very likable. There journey is unique, seeing as she's the military gal & he's the computer nerd. I love how the author has interwoven all these characters in this series. I can't wait for the next book in this new re-released series!
Boxcar & Caleb. I've never read such an unlikely couple who fit so perfectly. He's the lanky hacker and she's the tough woman who can brutally kick anyone's butt. Their banter, their I-hate-you-but-secretly-love dialogue and history, and their humor - all wonderful elements to their relationship formula. I couldn't help smiling. Circumstances push them together, but it's that second chance they need to reconnect and finally let their guard down.
Behind the scenes, this book continues the Snake Eyes master list storyline. So while this book tells the tale of Boxcar and Caleb, it shouldn't be read as a standalone since you're dropped smack in the middle of the secondary Snake Eyes storyline. But truthfully, it's definitely a series worth reading.
/I received an early edition of this book. This did not affect my opinion of the story or content of my review./
This series is fantastic and I just love it. Theses all feature a different couple, but they are all entwined. This is Boxcar and Caleb’s story. You left these two in Fox and Dani’s story. These two are married but have been separated for a couple years, but now someone is after her to get to Fox. He is going to warn her and hopefully save her. These two were quite the pair. These two were perfect for each other. They may be complete opposites, but they fit. There are flashbacks from when they were in the desert box and it gives you insight to how they met. I really liked Boxcar and Caleb’s story and the additional characters. This story has action, suspense and some twists. They have such a strong connection, even though Caleb wants to push Boxcar away. Boxcar is willing to do what it takes to keep Caleb safe. I can’t wait for the next story in Tis series.
I absolutely love this series. I loved the first version but this new one is even slicker. There's just more happening, more to the back stories, more to the whys and whats. Like the other books, this story is told in many flashbacks which explain the pasts of our 2 main characters Boxcar and Caleb. Like the preceding books, the tension in this book is kept at an exceedingly high level, like nail biting high. After all, there are some really mean, really efficient Snake Eyes assassins (Elijah and Lilah Hart, you met their brother Dante, in book 3) after them. Because everybody is looking for Fox, a former Snake Eyes assassin. Will Boxcar keep Caleb safe? Himself? Fox? These stories are so intertwined you have to start with book 1 to know what's going on! Enjoy!!!

The nerdy computer hacker can protect the strong ex-military woman
This series just keep getting more and more fantastic with each book. Tabatha Drake continues to amp up everything with each successive book. Broken Love is the story of Caleb and Boxcar and what a story it is. They both were stubborn like mules which caused more than a few clashes between them. But they were also funny, loving, attentive and a smoking hot chemistry. Their story has history which gives the story more depth along with the well written characters, both main and supporting. I really enjoyed reading Broken Love and can't wait to continue with the next in the series.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Yeah, this was one of those great, dark storylines that you know is a treat once you start reading. Fast paced, well written, and romantic in a dark, kind of messy way. I loved that Caleb was a force to be reckoned with. Boxcar confessed in his POV early on that she was the love of his life, and I liked the way that theme carried on throughout their romance. This second chance romance had history, passion, and heart. Great pacing that kept the storyline going and had me checking the percent read wanting it to not end!

Broken Love is the fourth book in the Killer Love series which should be read in order for the most enjoyment. Caleb and Boxcar are amazing characters, flawed and realistic. The storyline is well written and brings in characters from the other books in the series. The danger, passion, intrigue, and humour in this story give the reader true enjoyment. This author has somehow managed to make each book in this series better than the last and that is not an easy thing to do. I cannot wait for the next book in this exciting series.

Love love love this series by Tabatha Drake! Reading Caleb and Boxcar’s story was so great! These characters pull you in and make you love love them! Caleb is a physically strong bad-A female character and her and Boxcar together are so perfect because he somewhat the computer/ IT genus. It may be my favorite so far because I loved the strong female lead!
This series just gets better and and better with each characters books! This book should not be read as a stand-alone as this series plot follows through each released book and it it best followed by understanding the storyline.
Like the first three bookes in this series also this one is unique. This time the story is told in numerous flashbacks in which the whereabouts and why of the two protagonists' past are explained. The tension is being kept on a maddening high level throughout the book… I had to read the story as fast as possible, just to find out a bit earlier what would happen next, lol!
The protagonists, Boxcar and Caleb, are simply enchanting with all their problems and complexes... I love them both so much!
This series gets better with every new book and this one, too, is an absolute must read!
