Ridley and her new team are still struggling through growing pains as they continue protecting Honolulu and rescuing abuse victims.

But a new threat hits a little too close to home for their team.

One that could get them all killed.

All while they get closer and closer to taking down the Legion. Closer and closer to the face-off with her father she knows is coming soon.

This is a reverse harem series, which means the FMC doesn't have to choose a love interest. There is also MM in this series.

*Trigger Warning: violence, sex, abuse, mention of childhood trauma

I was disappointed by this one. I've been reading the books in this series back-to-back, but it kept talking about things that had happened and characters I was supposed to know, and I had no idea about any of it. It was a whole bunch of characters too: Asher, Zander, Mars, Leigh Lou, Katy... who the hell are all these people? They're suddenly just there and her friends and hanging out and they call each other for back up. It felt like a whole series happened off page and I was just supposed to know everything already. When did she get awkward with Beckett? And when did the lore change to include werewolves in this world? It was a casual mention and never brought up again.
Now, I see there is a spin off series, but I haven't read that one (assuming you read the original series first, then the spinoff), and there's just so much missing that this book doesn't make sense in its own series.
The flow was off too. At one point they were suddenly in a weird building being shot at, and each chapter was the same scene, but from a different character's viewpoint.
The characters have regressed, and it just felt like a step backwards in development. Most of it was recycled from other stories previously, and it just was a bit of a mess.

I always forget between books how much I absolutely adore this series! For anyone who hasn’t tried this or it’s spinoff/sister series, I would highly suggest starting at the beginning of the recommended reading order. You will definitely not be sorry.

RH-style superhero novels are such a unique genre. Helene does it excellently! In this book, there is so much character growth, it was great to see. In the end it was HFN, with a hint of what’s to come next. Excellent!!

Love a good hero!

Firstly quite a few editorial mistakes but look pass those and you have another good addition to this book series. I love this series. I love the strong independent woman and how she's fixing other women's crowns and helping them. It would be nice to see her help a man in the same situation after all domestic violence can go both ways. Highly recommend especially if you like drama, hot men and a strong fmc.

Ridley and her guy are stretched a little thin with all the stuff that's going on. Everyone is trying to do their part and things keep coming out of left field. Ridley is opening up a little bit more and is asking for help. When things hit a little too close to home everyone's worried the Ridley secret could be revealed. Book 5 will be interesting, and Helene your awesome.

Filler

I felt like this was more of a filler book. Nothing important happens and a storyline that I thought was resolved was brought back. If you skip it, I don’t think you will be sorry. I want to see the resolution of the father storyline and that is what the end of this book promises for the next one.

Excellent

This paranormal reverse harem, with Ridley and her four hot Aces, is an awesome, interesting and enjoyable series. The characters are lovable and fiercely protective of one another while fighting against injustice and righting wrongs. Excellent concept and storylines too.

Another great book in this series. Bit annoying that a few grammatical mistakes are creeping in now so not sure what happened to editing. Great progress of plot and can feel it ramping up to final book which can’t wait to start!
