*This is a slow-burn enemies to lovers/ bully romance (M/F)
Everyone has dark moments in their life that we sometimes wish we could erase or forget. But sometimes it's the pain and struggle that we have gone through that gave us our inner strength.
For me, writing started as a way to confront some of the demons of my past so that I could put them behind me forever. Most of my characters have a dark or troubled past and my books follow their progress as they emerge from the darkness that has held them down for so long.
As the darkness fades, hope for a better future starts to emerge (like the sun after a storm). A piece of my soul goes into each one of my books, and my hope and faith in a brighter tomorrow is reflected in each one of my characters.
Books have always been a source of escape and enjoyment for me, so I hope that my work can help others in the same way:-)

*I received an ARC of this book for a honest review*
I see this as an introduction into the lives of Katya, Maverik and Kingston. There is nothing much that is happening but we see the relationship establish some, and the connections between the characters. We are sure getting prepared to delve into the second book. I liked the characters and their interactions. The villains are very good, or bad whichever way you want to see it :))) I am looking forward to reading the next one because I am sure there will be more threads unraveled and spun.
I was already a big fan of the author based on her previous books but this one still blew my expectations out of the water. The intro was a good pace, which a lot of books lack. The life building for the main character definitely felt natural to learn about instead of just being handed the information like a textbook. The main character has a relatable balance between being confident and insecure. It becomes clear how hardworking she is, despite her struggles, and how core of a trait that is to the character and she stays true to it. I can't say enough good things about the plot! Normally anything outside of paranormal or supernatural isn't my cup of tea but this book was so well written that the author was able to keep me on the edge of my seat. She paints a creative light on a few old clichés and gives them a unique twist that really makes this story stand out against the rest. The bad boy may not be all bad, but he's smart in ways that will keep you guessing what he'll do next and desperate for more. I was so engrossed in the book that I didn't even realize I was coming up on the end of it until it was already over. It's a wonderful book that sucks you in from the first chapter and refuses to release you until it's done with you. Be ready for twists, turns, shocks, anger, sadness, and unadulterated satisfaction because this book packs a punch in the feels in the best way.
The book had a very good rating, therefore, I thought that I could buy it without reading a sample. My mistake...
The storyline is BS, the heroes and their feelings plus actions are unbelievable.... and of course - the Russian mafia, yeah right - everyone in USA who is of russian origins is mobster or ballerina. The use of Russian is ridiculous. Richard as such a great people-reader feels completely dumb in front of Nina.... anyways, it was lose of money and time.
