We watch Casper growing up and being trained up by the the league or whatever they call themselves. Sad stuff with him and his parents. Plus some ominous talk about what’s to come by Casper.
I can't discuss this issue without spoiling it, but OMG do I need to discuss this issue.
I love this series. Two issues in and I can say that I LOVE THIS SERIES! The art and colors are gorgeous. The characters from the first issues are awesome and the story is excellent.
This issue focuses on young Caspar growing up in The Order Of The Seven Secrets. We meet some more secret protectors as they help train and raise Caspar and we see more of the Sigurd and Eva backstory from the debut issue. Their story, Caspar, Sigurd and Eva, the family that never had a chance to be, breaks my heart and if The Order isn't truly keeping the world from ruin then I will lose it when the story gets to that point. Because Sigurd has already died to protect his secret, having sacrificed his chance to be a father - something that he so clearly wanted - and if that’s all in vain I will break things. I am invested in this series.
And they go and end it with Caspar saying "It's strange to be the one to tell this story. Especially because I don't make it to the end."
I...WTF?! How can they? Why would they??? NO! They just can't. Can they?! WHY?????
The big problem with getting into a series from the very beginning is that you have to wait for what comes next and I NEED MORE NOW! Are they going to kill everyone? I need to know!
