Six Idiots Witness a Murder - Rob Hickman
Six Idiots Witness a Murder is a fast-paced, absurd comedy murder mystery that moves between the UK and the USA as it follows a group of socially awkward British IT geeks that get sent to Atlanta to solve an embarrassing computer problem at their company's American subsidiary. Once in the Georgia heat, they meet a colourful cast of locals - including a redneck who regularly gets arrested for drunkenness, a former truck driver who's not all she seems and a woman who has just been fired from her job as a receptionist due to her phobia of speaking to strangers on the telephone (and whose four cats have a greater combined IQ than she does).
This is an easy book to follow, the plot isn’t overly complicated. The book gets off to a really slow start but the pace does improve. Throughout the book, Hickman has tried to add humour to make the situation far more comical.
Unfortunately, when I was 40% into the book I was still unsure as to the concept and I considered not finishing.
