Quick(ish) Review - 2.5 stars
Ok, second book into this series and I'm starting to feel a certain way about it:
There's small town romance and then there's Hallmark homogenous small town romance. This is most definitely the latter. The MMC has a Latinx last name but that's about it, and there's a decided "sameyness" to everybody. Yes I'm making up words, go with it.
A surprise pregnancy after a one night stand, this plays out in a fairly standard way except I wasn't exactly buying into the romance part. It didn't feel like either of them were particularly committed until the very end and it left me a little cold.
I'm going to give this series another chance, but so far it's just ok.

I am going to call this one enemies to lovers.
Olive and Liam don't really get along. After Olive breaks up with her current boyfriend she runs into Liam after a few adult beverages. One thing leads to another and what do you know she is pregnant. She tries to tell Liam but he ghosts her. The story really starts to pick up when he finds out, I actaully really enjoyed this one.

Should Have Known

After giving up on His Curvy Enemy, I should have known I wasn’t going to like this one either. I really wanted to give both books a try because of the whole curvy thing BUT that didn’t happen.
First, how are you going to leave crucial plot information out in the beginning?! Like, oh I don’t know, the whole scene that created the baby in the first place!?!?! I don’t know about you but I wanted to read about their first night together. I just felt cheated.
The author also had a tendency to skip little details that had me going back a page or two just to see if I missed something. Like, how did they get from talking in an office to all of a sudden they’re ordering drinks in a bar on the next sentence? Or how the heroine is talking to herself about the guy confronting her at work and then he’s at her house actually confronting her. Huh?!? I was getting all confused and just decided to quit.
Another thing, it seems like the author never met a comma she liked. Commas missing everywhere.

I wasn't in the mood for anything serious and that's when I decided to give this book a shot.
Firstly, the title is misleading. There is no secret baby; Numerous attempt were made to communicate with the 'sperm donor' he was just an asshole and wouldn't pick up the phone.
Secondly, the hero was an asshole, granted he realises that his behaviour is that of an asshole who thinks highly of himself, but he fucks up again towards the end of the book.
Thirdly, sure they were attracted to each other but I don't see how they love each other. They didn't communicate or get to know each other it was all rather superficial.

She has been dating a guy for 3 years and she thought he was going to propose to her,, but at dinner the scene changes and he breaks up with her!!! She is ready to hit the town and forget him!! She is dressed up and ready to turn some heads, but while drinking alone, she runs into Liam, the hot as sin Seal who is in and out of town saving people around the world. But after a few drinks, Olive sees Liam in a different light. Can she hide her feelings towards Liam? After one night, things change and Olive tries to tell Liam, but after multiple attempts, she gives up. Will he grow up and be the man she needs?

Olive works hard in a Matchmaking company 'Time For Love', and is friends with Ava from the previous book (this book can probably be read standalone, but it adds to it reading the previous book). She has been with Wyatt for three years, and thinks that the lunch she is going to might move them onto the next level. Fortunately she is disappointed, because he in truth wasn't really a great boyfriend to her anyway, but that doesn't stop her from being heartbroken. She decides to go out to help feel better about herself, and Liam (a playboy and former SEAL) helps her home. She and Liam normally have a turbulent kind of relationship, where they fight, but that one night he shows a nicer side to her. Will she regret letting him walk her home? I loved this enemy to lover romance, Olive can stand up for herself and gives plenty of sass (to keep me happy), sometimes Liam's choices frustrate me, but I still loved him too.

Loved It
When Olive receives devastating news from her fiancé Wyatt, she decides to stop being Miss GoodyTwo Shoes and heads to the bar, where she encounters Liam, who is ready to let his hair down before he heads out on a one month work assignment. When the two wake up in bed the next morning, Liam immediately fears that Olive will want more than just scratching his itch. Liam winds up being away three months, so Olive realizes that Liam is ghosting her numerous messages and texts, so she writes him off. The storyline held many surprises and heartbreaking developments and kept my interest. Hot sexual chemistry between Olive and Liam held my interest as well. Just when the two begin to make some serious relationship strides, only to have relationship prone Liam head to the hills to clear his head. Well written but needing editing.

This story was about a quiet woman who people that she was too soft until her ex dumped her because, his words, she was fridge. That is when she had a strong dislike for men who hint it and run. One in particular was Liam. During the night she drank too much, she was forceful with Liam about wanting to having sex. She got pregnant and couldn't reach Liam to let him know about the pregnancy. He got hurt during a mission he was on, but he wouldn't return any calls or texts from. Instead he blocked her number. When he found out she was pregnant with his child he thought she would automatically let him into her life. She made him prove he really wanted to involve with the pregnancy and the baby.
The story was a little, but it. Stayed in track.

There were parts of this story that were sad but they were evened out by the funny moments, the sweet moments and the happy moments. There were ups and downs to this story, plenty of chemistry, one strong women and a man who had the courage to look at himself and ask some hard questions. I love the friendships that are shown in this, the love and support which is so evident and the respect they have for one another. I really liked Olive and Liam together and thought the ending was spot on. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series. I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an ARC.

I really liked this story it just ended too abruptly for my liking. I HATE when the book ends as soon as they get together. WTF? Ugh!
I have not read the first book in this series but Olive runs a matchmaking agency in a super small town with her friends. How many people need their services, apparently enough. Anyway dumped by her horrible boyfriends she wants a palette cleanser to prove him wrong and town bad boy Liam is the one. However, his reputation and attitudes about life may mean he can't step up.
Overall I lived the characters, their story, and chemistry. It felt real, honest and a great book. Just hated how it ended.

Liam is scared of relationships and love after his father's disastrous display of marriage, now after being injured and getting a new stepmom, he is back in town to learn why Olive was blowing up his phone.
Can Liam figure out what is heart is feeling before losing a woman who loves him and a chance at a happy family HEA?

The allergic to relationships and commitment that is the character of Liam, he is perhaps a little less coherent because he finally passes quite quickly from phobic of the commitment that flees after a night of all possible links, to want to be there to support Olive. So the interesting point is how he has to deal with his guilt for not keeping the link, when Olive only wanted to inform him. And that's what I loved Olive about: it's her way of showing that she's independent, and that even though Liam feels remorse, he can't get out of it that easily.

This was a great read. Olive boyfriend breaks up with her and she has had enough. She decides she needs a one night stand and who better then Liam. Liam is perfect for a one night stand because he does not do commitment. After their night they go their separate ways. Olive finds out she is pregnant and although she tries she cannot get ahold of Liam. What will happen when he finds out? Will he commit, will Olive let him? Pick up this book and find out. I was so excited to read Olive’s book! I love a happily ever after. I love the women owned business that focuses on love. Olive has a support network and so does Liam. They each have friendships wound through the town and each others circle of friends. Seeing them get together, mistakes and all, was a great story. Having Liam’s Dad Diego find happiness and make amends also was a great part of the story line as well. 😊

Olive was a Matchmaker with her friends Sophie and Eva they owned their own business. Olive was in a three year relationship with a guy named Wyatt until he broke up with her. On a whim she went out to a bar to sulk but winds up with a man she always disliked! Now pregnant and single can she love a guy like Liam or just be a single mom ?? Great story and great characters! I really liked Liam and Olives story! I liked that they knew each other before anything happened between them! Even thought Liam was a mess he got it together and proved to Olive he was worth all the heart ache! I’m so glad his relationship with his dad was healed and that Olive and Liam got together in the end! Of course the girls friendship are a great part of the story . I think it’s Eva that was going to kick every mans a** if they broke any of her friends hearts! Love that! Girls have got to stick together!

This was a really enjoyable book!
This was a fun read even though they had some issues with each other but they worked it out. Liam and Olive went from pseudo enemies to pseudo friends to a real couple. Liam's childhood messed with his thinking of how relationships between adults are so he went a long time to know what a real relationship is. Olive had trust issues because of what her idiot ex said to her so she set out to price that he was wrong and she definitely upgraded because now she has a family that will support and love her but she already has her girls.

Excuse me…but wtf?
Ok so this book was cute, not as spicy as I was led to believe on spicy book tok but the plot was decent. The supporting characters were great. However, what book ends at 87% and with such an abrupt and unfinished ending. I felt so slighted like the author just gave up. It’s NOT a HEA it ends as a HFN. Which is disappointing. This story could have been so much more, it had great potential even with the typos. I just hate reading a book and feeling that the story is incomplete and lacking. It feels like a total rip off.

This was a sweet story. I did not know this was a series. I just downloaded it because I was in a secret baby mood. Even though I did not read the first book, I was able to read on its own. I did feel like I might have had a better understanding of the characters if I read the first book but it was so well written you can read on its own. I loved the struggles and strength of the characters. Once I finished this book I had to move right on to the next book. I recommend this book for a sweet secret baby book.

More of a surprise than a secret

Overall quality of writing was good, but was surprised myself by all the glitches in proofreading. No cheating or cliffhanger, there are some steamy intimacy scenes and a happy ever after. Enjoy 🤓
