With that out of the way, let's begin.
This is the blah, blah, blah section. You know the author’s “glory page” where he gets to tell you grandiose things about himself and the deeper meaning of his work. Whatever.

I write books. Seriously, that's what I get to do every day. It's great.

I have been fortunate to author some that have achieved bestseller status, including The Hunters Series of mystery suspense thrillers. It took me a lot of years to get to that point, but I wouldn't trade any of them for a minute. I love writing books for you and the journey that brought me here.

I am a native of the south, Georgia specifically. I spent much of my life there, but I have lived in many other places as well. We moved a lot when I was young. Eventually, we ended up back in Georgia in my teens where I finished school and went to work.

I wanted to write from an early age. A really long time ago, when I was still a young police officer in Georgia, I was writing short stories in my spare time and sending them off to magazines. One day I received one back in the mail.

Life Happened

Attached to it was a nice handwritten letter from an editor (this was long before the days of email and texts). The story manuscript was folded and smudged, and there were coffee cup rings on the edges of a couple of pages, which told me they had actually read it, maybe discussed it around an editorial table, or just used it to sop up the coffee.

In her letter, the editor said a lot of things that I don't remember, but it was not the usual form letter that I was accustomed to receiving. It was original and personal.

She said they liked my story, had strongly considered it for publication, but that it wasn't quite believable. Disappointed as I was, I was struck by her last words to me..."Don't stop writing. You're good at this. We almost bought this one."

I remember staring at that a long time. Then I folded it up and tucked it in a file and...stopped writing.

I wish I could tell you a different story, but I can't. I stopped writing for many years.

There were lots of reasons. Yes, I was disappointed, but the letter that should have encouraged me not to give up was forgotten.

Life happened. Dreams of writing were pushed aside by other things...important things.

Mostly I needed money for my young family. In the 1970s, police officers in Georgia were not paid a lot even by the standards of the day. I worked part-time jobs whenever I wasn't working at the police department. Many weeks I had no days off at all.

I'm not unhappy that I did my best to take care of my family. It was the right thing to do and working for them was the joy of my life.

Children grew up; then grandchildren came along. More life happened.

Then...The Internet Appeared

Out of the blue, this thing called the internet appeared and guess what. I was at a point in life when I didn't need to work part-time jobs every spare minute of the day. I could write again.

It's different these days. I can publish a book whether I convince an agent or editor to read it or not. I am an independent writer/publisher, an “Indie.”

It’s a partnership between us, writer and reader, and it's a marvelous thing.

Don't be a Follower -- Make Your Dream Real

It took many years to get here. Life is like that, with lots of twists and turns and surprises. I like it that way.

Now, I write every day, so here's my parting advice.
Don’t follow your dreams. Followers get nowhere except up the backside of the person in front.

Work and make your dream a reality.

Without a doubt, Glenn Trust is the new sheriff in town when it comes to penning thrillers that have you in a choke hold from the very first pages. The Hunters is one of those exceptional series where each new book in the series is more addictive than those that preceded it. In Lost, we find OSI Director Bob Shaklee and his band of agents tackling white supremacist, neo-Nazis, and human traffickers, another tale that could have been taken from tomorrow’s headlines. I would be hard-pressed to pick any one book in this exciting series and label it as being the best book in the series because they’re all awesome reads, still Lost just might be the best so far. But, since each new book in the series is better than all the earlier books in the series, Forgotten Sins, book 9 in the series may become the best.

Lost is a book that every adrenaline jockey will love, but it may not be for everyone. With its graphic violence, foul language and a smattering of sex, it may offend some readers. But none of those things are gratuitous, they are all necessary in making this story believable and read like real-life. Trust has created characters that talk like real people and that make the temporary suspension of disbelief never an issue with these books.

If you love action-packed thrillers that are realistic and believable, this is a must read series for you. If you haven’t read any of Glenn Trust’s books, this series is a good place to start. I think that someday this series will become a TV series, like the popular NCIS series.

Now I’m off to dive into Forgotten Sins, book 9 in the series.

The latest book in the series continues the great characters that were done previously. This story begins with George working undercover to infiltrate a white supremacist group. The group is intent on making an example of a black person. George and another member of the OSI team who masqueraded a a lone black person, are able to arrest the supremacist leader and his Lt. who was attempting to abduction.

While George was questioning the prisoners, another incident occurred in another part of Georgia where 32 people were killed and over 100 were missing. The Government order the OSI team to take charge of the investigation and George was sent down as the lead. Clues were scarce and there was just a young girl who was a witness to her family being being killed. She was able to provide one lead for them.

As their pursuit of evidence continued, they started looking into another path versus looking at it as more white supremacist actions. The individuals involved in the killing continued by murdering 3 more individuals, 1 of them was part of the killer team. They got further insight when a person working with Interpol noticed similarites to an event that occurred when she was young.

To find out who the killers were, what information was provided related to the Interpol query and what the result of the 1st incident was, then tou must read this book. It will be worth your wile.

A fantastic series

This was a difficult story to read due to the horrific tragedies and the unimaginable horrors inflicted by others. It never ceases to amaze me the depth of cruelty and evilness in the world. I'm not naive, have been involved with situations where cruelty knew no bounds. It's heartbreaking that the world believes that slavery is a thing of the past, when reality is that it never went away. It's just not out in the open as it was in the past. Calling it by a different name- human trafficking -makes it no less horrific or tragic.
This is a fantastic series with a lot of great characters that everyone can enjoy.
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.

Love this series!

Each book is filled with intrigue and yet it is a bit like visiting with friends, catching up with their lives and meeting new friends. George is down home, but so much common sense and savvy. Keeps you anticipating the next big thing.
