A certified Project Management Professional since 2007, she has taught and instructed at multiple Universities. She spoke at TEDxStuttgart on “The Secret to Life from a PMP.”
Her academic journey spans organizational leadership, geography, urban studies, computer science, and national defense, with degrees from Eastern Michigan University, Georgia State University, the University of Liverpool, and Regent University.
Amy has presented in over twenty countries on leadership, cybersecurity, and personal resilience. A former Army communications officer, she has served in both the Michigan National Guard and U.S. Army Reserves, with assignments at U.S. European Command and NORAD. Since my previous publications are academic and business focused, I don't want to confuse my readers. The Project Manager and The Consummate Communicator are both under Amy S. Hamilton. I generally use A.S. Hamilton for my academic writing. So, I had to get creative with this new pen name.
Ash A Milton moved from Arlington, Virginia to Gary, Indiana in April 2025.

great book to bring me back into a Project Management frame of mind.

I would expect any book about project management to be boring; this was not only not boring, it was engaging and entertaining. I would recommend it as a great way to introduce a protege or colleague to the concepts of project management, or to re-familiarize yourself with PM after going a different direction in your career.
Note: I plan to go back and read either the print or Kindle edition, since I found myself wondering if there were illustrations that I was missing.

Being a PM is my job. I treat house projects and big purchases like a PM, but I never considered PMing my personal habits.
