I really don't get the point of this continued story. It felt unnecessary. The relationship still really bother me and feels unbalanced with Yanase holding all this power (he never uses it over Kaneda, but with how much Kaneda swoons over the guy it's very much there) and Kaneda's absolute lack of self identity it feels weird. There was an attempt at character growth but I didnt feel like it actually did anything to either of the character in the end.
After reading the first volume last year, I was left with a profound feeling that the two main characters... weren't actually in love with each other. Which was extremely strange, given that it's a BL and I'm a fudanshi who specializes in consuming all forms of BL content, shipping non-canon BL ships, and seeing homoerotic undertones in everything. But when I read this manga, the relationship just felt... completely platonic. Like, I didn't feel Kaneda and Yanase's [romantic] love for each other. And, really, I still don't :/
Like yeah, they have sex and they say that they're in love quiet often, but like... idk being a visual medium, I've never encounter a manga that felt like it has a "show don't tell" problem, but that's kind of what this feels like? Like the mangaka has a list of what makes a relationship and they're checking all those boxes as they include each scene, but the emotion that is supposed to be underpinning everything is missing. Like the characters are saying that they love each other so often because the mangaka is trying to convince me that they're really in love.
It's so strange, and the manga overall just feels hollow. Which is a major bummer, because there is so much I want to like about it. The premise isn't bad at all, their dynamic has potential to be compelling, their career and interests are interesting, and I really did love the "regaining your passion" arc from the last volume. It's cute! The art's really charming! The characters are fun most of the time! It's a good story! It just... isn't a good BL story... because the romance is lacking.
I don’t know why I ignored this manga the first time I saw it. Though I read the synopsis, it didn’t really leave me that impression, but boy, was I wrong. I love how the story progresses each chapter. It was short, but gradual, if you know what I mean. I also love the fact that there maybe a conflict but it’s not about the other person became jealous of someone (you know, love triangle, those stuff) but the way the other person is wanting to grow more (Kaneda) and how is the other one, who is ahead (Yanase), is troubled to be away from Kaneda because of it.
Though he thought of it after he simply agreed on Kaneda’s consulatation to transfer to another company, maybe because of not wanting Kaneda to feel tied up because of Yanase, he was mature enough to explain to Kaneda that it was okay, and he (Kaneda) ought to learn for his own satisfaction, though he didn’t transfer and continued to work on the same company as Yanase at the end.
I also love that Kaneda is soooo head over heels to Yanase, and how Yanase feels so smug when he catch Kaneda off guard, it’s cute!

A cute read, and a satisfactory sequel. Showcasing the artistry and dedication of their industry, as well as their gap in experience (and age) within and outside of it. Beautiful and unique illustrations. And partly takes place in Vancouver, so bonus points!
I didn't love the first one but I had the second already on hold at the library so I figured why not see if I like it... and I didn't. This didn't feel like much of the conflict was real conflict, which sometimes doesn't bother me but I just can't enjoy it when it feels cruel. Our kohai here just stops talking cause they can't think about anything but their love for their senpai without talking to them. Can you imagine the person you LOVE just stopping talking or even looking at you? Physically moving away from you when you try to ask them what is wrong? Then say after you fix that, that you want to back off on the relationship and treat them like when you lived countries apart? The last one felt like not a bad thing, to not let your desire for them to be next to you to prevent them from growing.
This is the second one I read recently where they just completely cut the person off without communicating... this is crazy.
I did not find this as exciting as the first one but it was cute. Maybe I need to read volume 1 again and then go straight into this one and change the rating but I feel that since it was mainly about Yanase’s feelings for Kaneda it kinda lost something. It was cute that Kaneda is still so in love with Yanase that his work is affected and tries to do something about it but I felt Yanase acting like a kid over everything was just meh. It ended well and the relationship level felt like a one, even time goes faster than they are.

Cute little follow-up to the original story. It's a bit more plot-heavy as it focuses on Kaneda temporarily working with a few different companies on projects for experience. We also see a bit more of the Kaneda/Yanase relationship in the day-to-day or how they overcome situations together.
I mostly read these because I wanted to watch the drama adaptation and prefer to read source manga/books first if possible, and it was worth the short time invested.
DNF. not my thing but it wasn't too bad if i had to say something on it. bit boring, repetitive, others have done it better and neither of the main characters leave a lasting impression since they both have pretty cardboard cutout personalities.
I really liked volume 1, but this one is just so full of “drama” for the sake of it, and the usual convoluted reasons for misunderstandings just to create some tension in the plot. Two likeable lead characters totally ruined.
This one abandoned any semblance of plot, except for multiple instances of "Are you leaving? Wait for me!" (yes, the same thing from the first volume). But, uh, it really ramped up the sex scenes. And the art is great, so...three stars.
Honestly, I expected more from this second volume, but my opinion remains the same as with the previous volume. Although it is quite enjoyable, I feel there is nothing compelling in this manga.
This book is the perfect BL/Yaoi in every way. Its beautifully illustrated and has the perfect balance of romance, Life, and sexual scenes. I highly recommend this book, you wont be disappointed.
