“How perverted is Si Ye Han's taste? He still wants me like this?” Waking up, she looked at her reflection in the explosive wig, tattoos, and demon-like makeup. Any normal person’s eyes would burn if they looked at her for more than a second. Before her rebirth, she was in love with a different guy, so all she wanted to do was escape from Si Ye Han and hated him to his core after being locked up by him. After her rebirth, she looked differently at him, thinking that maybe he changed for the better? In the past, her mind was muddled. She let go of a stunning husband, was hurt by a scumbag and backstabber and most of all, was brainwashed by her most trusted friend. In the end, she was utterly alone. In her current lifetime, there are evil people scheming and eagerly waiting for her downfall. Sorry, but this girl won’t fall for the same tricks twice!

A good book, as long as you can swallow the premise.
On chap 730/2490

Characters: really good
World: good
Story: really good
To chapter 200: I really like this so far, so 4 stars.
At chapter 730: became boring, down to 3 stars.

This is the story of a girl who goes 7 years into her past and then has to deal with an abusive boyfriend while also balancing relationships at school and with business interests. I stopped it at chapter 730 because it turned into boring, small adventures of . Up until that point the girl had had a proper goal and was working toward that goal in big steps. Then as you read the story, the steps the main character takes her smaller and smaller, till I can’t see any value in the thousands of words that can be summed up as “she deals with x mundane problem by conning people, being smart, and being pretty. Then she gets richer and more powerful.”
At that point the story loses purpose and therefore loses value.

Characters:
The characters here are all well developed and individual. Different characters are all doing different things and have different personalities, which is good. I could probably tell which character was talking by reading a passage of dialogue.

World:
The world here is complex, with politics and intrigue going on. This is a story focused on characters, and the world does a good job staying out of the way. The world is only built to the extent that it is relevant to the characters in the story.

Story:
The story has an incredibly abusive boyfriend that must be placated at the moment. If you can't deal with that, then this isn't for you. So far, this book is very realistic, and the stockholm syndrome hasn't happened yet.
Nvm. The so called abusive boyfriend seems more of a myth. It’s just lovey dovey land basically, but with a cold, socially awkward boyfriend. Frankly, it would probably have been better to not give the guy the abusive tag, since it is only shown in 1.5 scenes that the abusive dude is a bad person, and the rest of the time he feels like a different character. He is written as a shy cold loving character but is held back by that “abusive” label. They should have done without it.

This book was a surprise to me. It was funny, interesting, and handled some unusual issues in a rom.com. (abuse, fighting). The world was amazing built. Characters were done well. There are some plot holes and areas that were a bit weak, and yes, you have to be willing to believe the premise. However It exceeded my expectations. This was to the point that I read all of it, including the side stories. I am now going to check into more of this authors work. I have to rely on English translations, but I am interested. I would enjoy reading more stories on some of the characters in her book.
