Quincy "Zulu" Slater spent his life serving others, first as an elite Navy SEAL, then as a member of the Steel Patriots motorcycle club. But for fifteen of those years he's been plagued with dreams of an ethereal, angelic woman leaning over him. Her sweet lips, luscious scent and striking coloring letting him know she wasn't real. He thought he was losing his mind until the woman of his dreams literally walked through the gates of the Steel Patriots club. Now he would do everything in his power to make sure she was not only safe, but never left his side.
Dr. Gabrielle London was an accomplished surgeon specializing in emergency room trauma. When she discovers disturbing trends involving organ harvesting, she has no where to turn except the one man that's haunted her every thought for fifteen years. She has to find him...has to reach out to him...but will he remember her and the one kiss that left them both wanting more.
Thank you for reading my bio and my books! I live and work in Dallas, TX. I'm the mother of two amazing daughters and two fantastic, intelligent grandsons, with one more on the way, and a wonderful son-in-law. I love to cook, travel, and write, but I'm also an avid reader. Being from a military family, my books often center around strong, military men but I also LOVE strong, independent, intelligent women. Another fantastic read by the author. What would you do if your dreams walked in and became your reality. A long time ago a young doctor saves an injured warrior, fast forward fifteen years and he gets to save the girl of his dreams. In this book the Patriots pull out all the stops and get to stop a maniacal plot at organ harvesting. Once again you get thoroughly enjoyable characters with an interesting storyline, hot alpha male biker veterans and the women they come to love, plenty of sexual chemistry, romance and action, with a fully believable story.
I feel it is necessary to address some of the plot devices used in this book.
The name of the book. This name has been used as a slur for some time against people in the Black community. The author’s decision to use it to name the main character who is a POC is insensitive. Yes the author made an effort to address this name but the fact that it was done should have given the direction to go another way.
The drama with Quincy’s sister and her reaction to his relationship with Gabi. The antagonist message in using a bigoted stereotype of an angry black woman. I just don’t know what this added to the story? The author didn’t pursue further introspection at this situation so it reads to me as just being an incendiary plot device at the expense of a member of a marginalized community.
I appreciate that the author told a story using different dynamics than typically used in contemporary romance books. How an author uses experience & language when writing about members of other communities requires consideration of their perspective as well. I felt this story while compelling, suffered from not fully taking those perspectives into consideration.

Zulu and Angel Eyes. First, the description of Angel Eyes is cool, it’s just too repetitious. The fact that she has Grey eyes that look like moving clouds and hair that is white blonde is cool. We. Get. It. My head is sore from how it was pounded into it. Second, Zulu has a baseball bat between his legs- referenced a gajizzian times. The giant monster with one eye. Repetition is the devil that derides a great story. Angel Eyes is a doctor/Surgeon who stumbles upon a human organ harvesting operation. With a twist. A new twist on this tale, I won’t leave spoilers. Helped pass the time, I wanted more from this.
Former Navy SEAL Quincy "Zulu" Slater has been dreaming of one for fifteen years. A women with the most unusual eyes. A woman that can't possibly be real. But she is. Trauma Surgeon Dr. Gabrielle London arrives beaten half to death at the compound praying that Quincy will remember her and help her with the most heinous of crimes. Now he would do everything in his power to protect her and keep her by his side, forever.
I thoroughly enjoyed this Free Kindle Unlimited book continuing the Steel Patriots story. Mary does a great job at fleshing out the back stories of our heroes. The plot is intriguing if not downright terrifying. Roll on the next book.
I chose this rating because this was actually a pretty good book. This was a book of compassion, recognition, protection, and finding your soulmate. Gabi and Zulu Mate for a very interesting couple. I love the way that they Interact with each other, and the way that they dreamed about each other knowing that they were the one for each other. Great read! I recommend this book to all romance readers and MC lovers.
Every waking moment and all the sleepless nights for fifteen years, fifteen years of seeing this Angel. Was Zulu losing his mind. He could feel her see her and smell her. How can his Angel not be real. Who was she if she really existed. Until one faithful night he was call to the clubhouse gate. All his dreams came true she wasn’t a dream! It was his Angel in the flesh. Find out how it all happened. And what has his ANGEL EYES fearing her her life.
What made this one cute is how Zulu kept dreaming about this woman for years and then when she shows up, he knows she real. It also helps that Gabi had been dreaming about Zulu from their brief interaction for all these years too.
The reason Gabi needed help was so crazy! I'm glad that the guys were able to help her and take down these bad guys. Better was how there was the big celebration when Gabi and Zulu got married, surrounded by their real family.
With every book it just gets better and better. Zulu and his angel, I absolutely adored this story. This story was beautiful. I love the insta-love trope in all of the stories, it just makes my heart swarm + the MC aspect to it always makes these stories so amazing. Loved this one and can't wait for the next one!!!
I like the books in the series but Zulu' book was very ah...no, skip that page...then skip more pages. The doctor is a smart lady so is Zulu and their story was good but cut down to focus on the physical. It was not well balanced in my opinion and Zulu's character was not developed but stayed in the background as muscle and meat.
I usually don't review books. It was using good English and I only found a few instances where the author was thinking so fast she forgot a word. I have low vision, so it is important for me to read slowly. It was interesting enough to read in one sitting.
5++++++ Stars this has to be the best series I've ever read. I read a book everyday. I'm a retired nurse and this is my favorite thing to do is read. I'm in Love with this author and series.
This story was off the charts Fantastic!!!!. So entertaining, exciting, moving, heartfelt, and just so WOW!!😋🤗. Mary is a Fantastic storyteller and PHENOMENAL writer!!!!
Loved Zulu's story his perfect match someone who looks totally opposite of him Gabi is a surgeon who saved him at Walter Reed and they shared a kiss. Many years later she needs him and they find eachother
I really enjoyed this book of the series. The theft of organs and killing to get the organs is a new subject plot and a good one. Looking forward to Gunners story.
This was a very enjoyable book. I like books where the characters are believable and make fills the Bill and I plan to continue reading books from/ rational decisions. This such a book.. I also read for entertainment so I insist on happy endings.
Gabi and Zulu were written in the stars. Gabi and Zulu met when Zulu was shot on a mission and the bullet lodged against his spine. Gabi was the surgeon who removed the bullet without paralyzing him. Their story has danger, and happiness all wrapped up in one.
Another book by this author with one star deducted during really careless editing and proofreading. As a person of color, I also found the descriptions a little too stereotypically offensive... enough said. The story is creepy, but I may read on to see when these guys meet up with REAPER.
I still love the characters, but the storylines and plot holes can be a little ridiculous. Plus the whole insta-love and repeatedly giving us that backstory of how the MC was formed. At this point I’m invested so I will continue basically so I can get to ACE’s story.
Not as much action as I like but it was well worth the read. I love getting to know the Patriots boys. Some good steamy scenes though. Hope you enjoy as much as I did.
I loved the way Gabi and Zulu came together, almost as if it was destined. The story was really scary and just shows how evil some people are. Preying on the lost, the lonely and desperate.
I really enjoy multiracial couples it adds spice to the story, there are many problems (usually from outside idiots) the couple has to face on top of the normal learning to trust falling in love.
Book 4 ✅ alpha male ✅ female surgeon ✅ previous interaction from about 15 years before ✅ mystery that puts the female in danger ✅ plenty of insta-love and spice ✅
Another fantastic read. This series is so well written and they all flow brilliantly, zulu and Gabi r beautiful. The story line for this one was intriguing and kept me reading.
Not as much copy and paste this time versus Doc. You shouldn't have to keep repeating their story over and over. You should be able to pick up where the last book left off.
