He has a soulmate, he just has to travel through time to find her. Short: In 2008, doctor turned actor Doug Coleman longs for a quiet life, out of the spotlight he never asked for. In 1868, free spirited Elizabeth Gates swears she’ll never marry, much to her fathers displeasure. A chance meeting with a gypsy gives them both a choice. He’s a MAN out of TIME, she can’t resist BECOMING his future.
LONG:
In 2008 Actor Doug Coleman is tired of his life. Sure, his face is on every magazine cover, but that doesn’t mean he’s not lonely. Life used to be simple until he was thrust into the spotlight. Now all he longs for is a quiet life, a devoted wife and to go back to being an unknown doctor. Too bad wishes weren’t horses, or however that saying goes.
In 1868, she’d given up on finding love when a random gypsy tells Elizabeth to watch for the Man Out of Time.
She doesn’t know it, but Elizabeth is is the god-daughter of an actual goddess. Agatha isn’t going to sit idly by when her soul-sisters child is being pushed into a marriage she doesn’t want by a father who didn’t raise her. Now she must move time and space to bring the soulmates together.
My books are steamy romances, filled with characters who haven't given up hope of finding 'Happily Ever After'. Except that sometimes it doesn't happen right away and sometimes it's hard to trust it will happen at all.
Finding love after heartbreak is a real thing. It happened to me, it happens to my characters and it will happen to you.
If you're anything like me, you're a sucker for a happy ending.
Blessings, Connie

This is the first book by this author that I have read. I have always enjoyed time travel books and this one is no exception. It was different from the usual ones I read as it was set in America and it was the hero that went back in time. I enjoyed the way the characters were written and the fact that they were looking for each other. I also enjoyed Agatha. All the characters worked well together and there was a lot of story and not a lot of fillers. It was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster and had me wondering what was going to happen next but they found their HEA in the end. If you are looking for a sweet read this is not for you, it has some grit in it which I found made it a good read. There was a lot of sex in this book and I skipped it as I usually do and it didn’t affect my enjoyment of this book.
I have always believed in the notion of finding your soulmate, your true love, the one person whom you are meant to be with. Being a fan of the Romance genre, I am not sure I would have chosen this book as it is more historical/fantasy than the romance novels I usually pick up to read. However, I am so glad I did. This book is a wonderful combination of a great romance story, with a fantasy and historical vibe. Flawlessly bouncing from Past to Future and back again Connie’s descriptive detail allows you to visualize what you are reading, and very easily get sucked into the story. You will not want to put this book down until the end. But even then it will leave you wondering where this series is going.
It’s 2008 and Doug has it all, he’s a qualified doctor, a successful actor and enough money to never have to work again! But he is lonely and longs to share his life with someone special.
It’s 1868 and Elizabeth has been promised to a man she doesn’t want to be with, she never plans to marry, but it’s her fathers decision!
Agatha, a Goddess knows that Doug and Elizabeth are soulmates, but they are from different times, so she goes to them both and tells them to look for a sign! How can two people, from different periods be each other’s soulmate?
A good read, keeps you hooked wondering how the story will end.
Part of the A Goddess of Destiny Book series a well written story of time travel. Actor Doug Coleman from 2008, and Elizabeth Gates from 1868 meet when he goes back in time. I enjoyed seeing this story come together. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
When there are things in life that you don't think you can't change. You never know when you might get a little help from somebody special, even though you don't know your getting that help. From 2008 ,Doug isn't happy with the way his life turned out, a random act made him a celebrity and he hates it. Elizbeth is from 1868 and wants to be who she really is , not what family, friends or others want. Who can bring them together so the both can be happy with their soulmates?. The characters are wonderful, no matter is they are good or bad. The emotions are felt as if I'm right there. A wonderful book that is a must read
This book is one of my first reading in which the past and the future are masterfully combined. Doug is a successful actor with a past as a doctor. He is tired of his glamorous life; deep down in his heart he knows that something is missing. Elisabeth is a beautiful woman living in the past. She has an array of alleged suitors but she is completely indifferent to their charms. During a fair she encounters a gypsy (disguised in Agatha who is the third intriguing character) who foretells her that she has a soulmate living in the future and only that man can fulfill that emptiness enveloping her heart. Thanks to the magic carried out by Agatha both characters finally meet. An adventurous romance that will make the reader fall in love with these two romantic characters. Personally I enjoyed going into the past and through the book the author points out that everyone has a soulmate. The book has the perfect straightness because the introduction describes where all things began. A great read which I strongly recommend. Thank you for giving me a courtesy copy to read.
This was a wonderful time travel adventure, with some unusual and creative twists. There was a problem with the timeline in that Elizabeth is not quite 18 according to the math, yet almost 21 in the descriptions, and there were a lot of places in need of editing, but aside from that it was a bingeworthy tale full of terrific characters (aside from the 2 we aren't supposed to like), yummy steam, and an interesting plot involving a fortune-telling, match-making goddess. There were also 2 upsetting scenes at the end that really ought to be given mild trigger warnings in the description, but overall it was a happy story with the typical time travel challenges. This seems like a promising series, and I'm looking forward to reading the next book.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
This truly grabbed me from the first moment and didn't let go. I couldn't put it down as Elizabeth and Doug pulled me into their sweet story. Doug is from 2008 in a life that is lonely. He has everything he should ever want but something is missing. Elizabeth is a feisty young woman fighting against the constraints of 1868. When Doug is suddenly thrust back in time, the two of them connect when Doug inadvertently changes her timeline. As they navigate their love, it is clear they are soulmates, it is just a matter of how they can be together forever. I really did enjoy this book and would highly recommend it.
A new fresh and interesting book. A completely unexpected romance Doug lives in 2008 and Elizabeth in 1869 and these two are soulmates. Our Goddess Agatha will try to help these two mates find each other. This magical fantasy was an awesome read I loved it. This one grabbed me right from the start Agatha knew there was a problem she just now needs to figure out what it is. This first part was so sad. I really enjoyed the author’s pov on this charmer. The characters are wonderful and this romance was unique and so interesting. This book had a fresh feeling it was splendid. I enjoyed the book. I did receive a free copy of this story and voluntarily chose to review it.
This is a well written book with strong ,likable characters and an interesting and entertaining time travel romance. The author does a great job building the story and pulled me in , keeping me glued to the pages. She describes her scenes perfectly, making you feel you're right there with them. It's a slow burn romance with tons of action and heat. I loved this book and would highly recommend reading.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
Time travel is a favorite of mine, and Liz and Doug's story does not disappoint. With the Goddess of Destiny tinkering with lives, the ups and downs of this book kept me on the edge of my seat. I couldn't put the book down!
The goddess Agatha knows that Elizabeth and Doug are soulmates.
Unfortunately, Elizabeth is living in 1868 and contemplating an arranged marriage, while Doug is a doctor, turned successful actor who finds himself lonely, despite his celebrity.
Agatha’s magic allows them to meet, resulting in an adventurous and steamy romance.
Well drawn and engaging characters. Worth a read.

I absolutely loved this story of fated soulmates separated by time and finding their way to each other with a little help from the powers that be.
Time travel is fascinating in and of itself but combining it with a tale of two lovers is the best!
The only thing I would change is perhaps a sequel to explore the children that come from this union. It would be gratifying to know that they too have the ability to time travel.
He saved her life but realized it was not the year 2008 She fell in love with him and then her father appeared after being gone after twenty years and picked a husband for her but he attacked her and she was saved by her horse and they both are back in 2008 in the end
New to me author and I can't wait for more. I love this cuz it's a modern day male going back in time and our female is a horse lover who still knows how to be feminine when needed. This is a standalone with a HEA
A goddess tries to link two people who belong together but live in different centuries. They find each other and fall in love but an evil man tries to get the heroine. However she is saved by her heroic horse. Good story.
