It's a bodyguard romance, and they were on the run! It was such a fun read. The chemistry between Nathan and Autumn was so realistic that I felt it right away since they first met. And Tawanda definitely deserves more credits. She is adorable.
Autumn is a well-known top-notch artist, and she is a target of this infamous terrorist group. Her mother, who is a Foreign Secretary, hired a well-experienced man to be Autumn's bodyguard. Then, their story starts there. Throughout the run and hiding, both Nathan and Autumn's love attraction towards each other seems to grow bigger and bigger. However, Nathan has some issues facing it because of a particular reason. For the rest, I will leave it there for your imagination. But what I can say is: you need to pick this book up! This book definitely deserves more attention and likes. It got angst and hate-to-love trope. It focuses on the balance of both romance and the insane circumstances that happened in this book. But those situations affect quite an impact on their relationship. This book is good! Go pick it up.
I didn't enjoy this one, though it has all the hallmarks of a good story, there really wasn't any depth to the characters - we really only get to see cameo glimpses kind of strung together.
I think this book could be adapted for film and the imagination could run wild creating an action packed dramatic romance.
Still don't get the title "Safe for Summer" - the main character's name is Autumn. After I read I looked at some reviews and learned the title had been changed, I wondered if someone forgot to change the main character's name in the text to match it.
The terrorist plot was unsettling. This book became a DNF for me due to its portrayal and mention of a horrific group of individuals, that in real life has casted an entire religious community in a negative light. I felt like the author could have used different terminology to describe those that wanted to do harm on the MC. Also, the bodyguard was extremely intense.
Oh I loved this book,it was sexy, exciting and heart wrenching, even though I guessed the ending I still had to keep reading, from the beginning I felt like I'd read it before, but it was unputdownable, [ha ha,] different from other books of mandy's I've read, but still amazing
