Pumpkin Patch Sweetheart by Sasha Summers

2nd book in the Welsh sisters. Can be read as a stand-alone but better after the first because the sisters are friends and business partners as well.
Coach Josh and children Tucker and Nadia are new to the small town of Crossvine Creek.
Harley is Nadia’s new favorite teacher. Tucker’s got a crush on Harley as well. Josh has already lost much in his life and doesn’t want his heart broken again. But how can he resist Harley?

Such a sweet and warm small town romance.
Harley dotes on his children. She’s a favorite of everyone in town. She fits seamlessly into their lives and adds joy to their world. It’s darling and adorably cozy.

“Something told him that [...] she’d more than fill the hole in his life—and in his heart, too.”

4.5 stars.

My first visit to Crossvine Creek at the start of 2020 was a resounding success, the residents and the Welsh sisters stole my heart with their quirky natures and huge hearts, so I couldn’t wait to return to see Harley Welsh find her happily every after.

description She might not be a fan of Coach Josh McBride, but she loved the way he adored his daughter. The fact that he was a massive, hulking, grumpy sort of man made his butterflies-in-the stomach-inducing grin that much more powerful.”

That quote right there is why I was a fan of single dad, Josh McBride. As I was his kids and Harley. Aside of the fact that I felt deprived of an epilogue which is just me being greedy for more, I loved everything about this from the autumnal setting to the characterisations and the fun, light-natured, slow-burn storyline and Sasha Summers hit the jackpot of what I want from a small town, feel-good romance.

description Can you make her want to be your girlfriend, Daddy? Please?”

So happy to discover this isn’t our last outing to the creek and with the foundations set to whose story I think is coming, I can’t wait to see what Christmas will bring.

Reviewed for Romancing the Readers Blog: http://www.romancingthereaders.com/20...

Sometimes a cover catches your attention and you know that you have to read it. That's what happened with Pumpkin Patch Sweethearts. I'm a new reader of Sasha Summers so when I saw this book come up for review I knew I needed to read it.

I very much enjoyed the small-town feel of the story. I also liked how close to her family that Harley is. That interaction makes for a better story.

Harley is so sweet. She understands Nadia and tries to help her feel better about herself and interact with others. She draws in Josh's kids and in turn, connects with him. With Harley helping him out Josh sees how much he's missing in his life.

You have to feel for poor Josh he's had a rough few years. He works so hard to be there for his kids and the people who count on him. He understands his daughter's issues and wants so badly to make it all right but isn't sure how. He learns from Harley how to relax and enjoy his family. So sweet.

This is a wonderful story that has all the warmth of family and the holidays. It reminded me of all the things I love about fall and the holidays with a little romance thrown in. I really enjoyed it and would love more from this town. I think you'll really like Welsh sisters.

This book sparkles with love and family and joy! I fell in love with every single character—Josh and Harley, Nadia and Tucker and all the rest! A small town romance set during the fall season—this book needs Hallmark to make a movie, pronto!

Received an Advance Reader Copy in exchange for a fair review
4.5 stars.
A really good, very engaging read, a pleasure to read from beginning to end, featuring a gorgeous, surly father of two children and a very loving, giving heroine.
“Pumpkin Patch Sweethearts”, by Sasha Summers (Tule Publishing), is so romantic and funny, sweet and heartwarming, with a cast of characters I fell in love with, a very slow-burn romance and lots of entertaining family and community moments.
Besides being wonderful characters, Josh and Harley are written in a way that readers are always reminded of the impact they have on each other and the sizzling attraction they try so hard to fight.
Josh has such a presence in the story, a very tender yet grumpy hero. I loved all the awkward moments he went through, the discomfort, the ignorance, the fears of his own feelings and emotions, the not knowing how to deal with this new reality of yearning and desire – what a superb job the author did creating the “grumpy new coach”, so tender with his children, yet wary and absolutely clueless when it comes to the heroine.
Harley is a selfless person; sometimes I thought she was too generous with Josh and his kids.
This is a slow story, with wonderful characterization, a sizzling chemistry that takes its time to develop and an intense, guarded hero who abruptly, in the end, throws caution to the wind.
The family and friendship relations were amazing. I liked that once again the author addresses issues of loss and grief with such sensitivity and empathy for the characters.

So sweet; this book was very enjoyable for several reasons. First, the characters are wonderful and help move this book along steadily. While the relationship development between Harley and Josh is slow; I didn't mind. There is so much going on in this book aside from a romance that I was completely engaged. It was wonderful to watch.

Josh is a widower and moved his small family to Crossvine Creek in the hopes he will be able to focus more on his two young children. Josh has a son and a younger daughter, Nadia, who is painfully shy around most people. Nadia is not engaging in school and wants nothing more than to stay home. Fortunately, Harley is one of the very few people that Nadia feels comfortable around due in part to their mutual love of art. Harley is a wonderful character; her heart is big and she is selfless and nurturing. Her capacity to love is one of the things that make her an endearing heroine. She is so easy to fall in love with. So then why is Josh a grump when it comes to Harley? You'll just have to read their story to find out.

Another aspect I absolutely loved about this book is the Fall theme. The small town of Crossvine Creek goes out of their way to celebrate this time of year with fun activities and festivals. The citizens who we meet in the book are a great addition and contribute to make this an even better book. Harley and her family are perfect. I felt such a strong connection to them all.

This book is smoothly written and you'll be at the end before you know it. I won't give any details away but I can tell you that watching the McBride family welcomed was so sweet. Crossvine Creek is definitely a town I can't wait to read more about.

This is my honest and unbiased review and I thank you for taking the time to read it. :)

How Sasha Summers can write such a purely innocent romance story filled with so much yearning and longing is beyond me! I knew I would like Harley's story after reading Dog Park Sweethearts, but wasn't prepared to love this story even more. Josh and Harley had so much chemistry. I loved the kids, Nadia and Tucker too. The whole town of Crossvine Cree was delightful and I loved getting to see all the fall festivities. My only complaint with this series is that there aren't more Welsh sisters to read about! I'm going to need a cousin or something to pop up because I don't want to leave this world behind.

I just finished this book and need to write my review while my feelings are fresh to do it justice.

It has been a while since I have wished I could rate a book higher than 5 stars, but that is this one for me. I love reading and I love a simple sweet romance as much as the next, but there is something about a book/author with the ability to take simple and sweet to the next level in a short straight-forward book.

As I tweeted at the 40% mark, there are authors that tell a story and then there are authors that invite you in to sit front row while a story unfolds around you.... Sasha is by far the latter and especially with this book. There is a sweet family (the Welshs), a sweet but hurting family (the McBrides), an adorable little town that ticks all of the quirky town requirement.... and you will be drawn in from chapter 1! You will root for Harley and Josh. You will smile at the typical misunderstanding and have your heart ache even though you know it’ll all work out because you will fall in love as they fall in love!!!!

And as a bonus if you love fall even just in the short term, you’ll fall into this book for sure! I guarantee you’ll find yourself wanting to grab your favorite hot beverage, throw a fleece blanket over your legs, and turn on a football game while you shop for fall decorations via amazon 🧡.

I have been re-evaluating my book ratings for awhile and this book makes me even more aware of a needed adjustment - all the 5 stars I hand out diminish the value of a true, hands-down 5 start read for me such as this one.

I cried all kinds of happy sweet tears throughout this book and want to read it again..... right now!

Pick this book up. You won’t regret it!

What another great story by Sahsa Summers. I am so happy I revisited The Welsh Sister Series. I loved Harley story and I enjoyed learning more about Noah and Autumn and how their story progresses. From the moment I was introducted to Josh and Harley you wanted them together. It was instant chemistry from the moment the meet.

There were so many sweet moment throughout the story I really enjoyed Harley relationship with the kids. You could tell their was a genuine love for Nadia and Tucker and she just wanted what was best for them.

I was so happy with the outcome of the story and I hope that Sasha Sumers is already working on another installment in this series as I want more about these Sisters and what they are up too.

There is so much to love about Pumpkin Patch Sweethearts that it is hard to know where to start. This book is cute, sweet, funny and tender. I couldn’t stop smiling. My first smile turned into a chuckle at the gorgeous meet cute. Harley loaded up with a bag of bakery goodies and two pumpkin spiced lattes gets tripped by her sister’s dog Cobie as new high school football coach Josh McBride enters the bakery. She dumps the lattes all over him and laughs when cream lands on his nose. Her laughter is met with an icy glare, but of course that’s the start of a truly gorgeous romance as Harley helps Josh’s children settle into their new home in Crossvine Creek, Texas, ensuring they get to experience a host of autumn experiences. From pumpkin selection and decoration to the town’s fall festival, Harley ensures they experience it all. How could I not love this sweet, caring and talented woman? As for Josh, well like Harley I fell for him too. He’s a devoted father but hurting inside from the death of his wife four years earlier and then his mother eight months ago. I wanted to hug him and tell him it would all be OK. Thankfully Harley was there for him too, though these too took plenty of time getting their wires crossed on their journey to a happy ever after. Honestly I loved this book so much I could start it all over again right away.

A heartwarming small-town romance.

After Harley Welsh’s dreams were crushed, along with her heart, in New York City, she returned to her hometown of Crossvine, Texas. Now she teaches art classes at a studio she owns with her sister. Harley took special interest in one of her new students who just happens to be the town’s new high school football coach’s daughter and soon finds herself interested in the coach himself.

Single dad, Josh McBride, was ready to start life someplace new, away from the memories and heartbreak of the past. He thought Crossvine would be a great place to raise his children. He had no intention of starting a relationship, but when he met his daughter’s new teacher, he couldn’t get her out of his mind.

This is a sweet and emotional story. Both, Harley and Josh, had broken hearts and I enjoyed seeing how their friendship, and eventually love, bought happiness to their lives again. I enjoyed the kids’ parts of the story especially Nadia’s antics and Tucker’s crush on Harley. The dogs were a fun addition to the story too. I really liked how Harley and Josh first met. That was a fun scene.

Pumpkin Patch Sweethearts is a sweet, low angst romance. Both main characters have suffered heartbreak in the past. Josh is a widower raising two children alone. Harley is an artist who suffered a bad breakup that damaged her self-esteem. The book begins with a fun meet cute that gets them started off on the wrong foot. It is obvious to everyone that they have great chemistry, but they fight their growing attraction. Although not necessary, I would suggest reading Dog Park Sweethearts, the first Welsh Sisters book, before this book because that couple shows up in this book. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a sweet, innocent romance.

This is a charming contemporary romance, uniting a widowed father of two children and an artist who has returned to her family in the small town of Crossvine Creek, Texas, after being disappointed in love and work in New York City. The setting in October sets forth enjoyable fall activities that help to break the ice as these two people are drawn together. Josh and Harley are engaging characters, as are Josh's ten year old son, Tucker, and five year old shy daughter, Nadia. This author helps the reader experience fall and is a great read for this time of year!

This book was even better than the first. I enjoyed reading about the second sister's story. This one required more navigating because there were kids involved and NO ONE messes with the kids. Loved how Josh and Harley had to both learn to love again and watching them put it all together and then JUMP at that chance for true love.

Pumpkin Patch Sweethearts is full of family, small town vibes, community, and love. A sweet romance centered around the town’s Fall festival. It is an easy, comforting read. I loved the characters, the setting, and the plot. A good read to get you in the Fall season mood. Sasha is a new to me author and I will be checking out her other books. I read an advance copy, and loved this book! It is so well written, you fall in love with all the characters.
I fell in love with Pumpkin Patch Sweethearts because it’s not your typical romance of boy meets girl.
After getting coffee Harley is leaving the shop, she trips on her dogs leash and spills two cups of coffee on a unhappy gentleman. Later that morning she is teaching Nadia, a shy talented 5 year old who has recently moved to town.
That night she comes to find out the unhappy gentleman she spilled coffee all over is Nadia’s father.
The book is heartwarming and takes you on a wonderful journey.

Pumpkin Patch Sweethearts by Sasha Summers
Can a fun-filled activity list from the past help to create a new future?
Art teacher Harley Welsh is charmed by her newest student—a little girl whose shyness disappears the second her hands are covered in clay or paint. Moving wasn’t easy for Nadia so to help her, Harley resurrects the countdown to the Great Pumpkin Patch—a must-do fall activity list from her childhood. She’s determined to show Nadia and her family how wonderful life in Crossvine Creek is. But Harley didn’t plan for Nadia’s father to be single, distractingly handsome and everything she’s running from.
New high school football coach Josh McBride is hoping a smaller town will give him more time to focus on his children. While his son is adjusting to the move, his daughter is struggling. Harley’s offer to help via a fun, seasonal-themed activity list is a welcome gift. Her love for the town is infectious, and soon his kids aren’t the only ones falling under her spell.
But Josh can’t help but wonder…what happens when they reach the end of the list?
This is Harley Welsh and Josh McBride's story.
“It’s nice to see you.” Georgia smiled back. “You and Cobie are all bundled up. Is it that cold out there?” “The wind has a bite to it.” Harley glanced down at Cobie and grinned at the sweet black Lab. Autumn’s beau, though, had the cutest little sweater-wearing dog in all of Crossvine Creek, Texas. She was pretty sure the only reason Cobie was wearing a sweater was so she and Baxter could match. Because that was the way Harley’s sister thought.
“I don’t know what smells better— the coffee or whatever it is that you’re baking.” Harley crossed the wide plank floor to the bakery case. The scent of freshly roasted coffee beans, pumpkin scones, and a hint of maple had Harley’s stomach groaning, loudly. Georgia’s brows rose high. “Was that your stomach, child? You sound like you haven’t eaten in a month.”
The man steadied her right about the time a large dollop of whipped cream fell from his hair and landed on the tip of his nose— cinnamon and sugar crystals catching the light. And, much to her absolute mortification, she found herself giggling. With the man’s glare, the helicopter sound of Cobie’s nose searching the wood plank floor, and her mounting nerves… she just couldn’t stop giggling. But she tried. She cleared her throat. “Really… I’m so… so sorry.”
escaped. The man swiped the cream from his nose, put the wadded napkins in the paper bag Arnie was holding out, and slid some bills across the counter. “Oh no, please let me,” Harley offered, finally leading Cobie in a circle and untangling the leash. “It’s the least I can do.”
“I’ve got it.” The man’s voice was low and gruff and dripping impatience. “Here you go.”
I highly recommend reading.

‘Pumpkin Patch Sweethearts‘ is the second title in the ‘Welsh Sisters‘ series and captured my imagination from the beginning with lots of smiles (on my part) and really good feels vibes.

It would be very hard to not love these people – really, practically impossible in my opinion. Harley and Josh have a funny, warm, tender with a touch of sexiness slow burn romance going on as Josh and his kids meet one determined woman who is filled with charm, cares for those around her, and is making sure that this family experiences the fun of Crossvine Creek in the Fall. While it’s true that their first meeting went a bit… let’s say awkward, as Harley brings back the smile to his daughter, Nadia’s face once again, how’s a dad supposed to hold a grudge? If he’s smart – he doesn’t – and if he’s even smarter than that he lets himself start to fall in love with a woman who already loves his kids and could offer him a lifetime of love, hope, and happiness – if he’ll take the risk, and let go of the pain from the past.

I adored Nadia – to me, she is the star of ‘Pumpkin Patch Sweethearts‘. Tucker is a sweetheart, and I loved his interactions with Harley – hope we revisit when the kids are grown and have their own romances, one day. Josh had a very full plate already, grief still fresh and strong in his heart for several reasons. Yet he loves his kids and will do anything for their happiness. Harley is restarting life back home with her family. She’s optimistic, outgoing, and ready to welcome a special man and his kids into her heart, her family. Although they moved slowly to that happy ever after moment, every step they took in that direction felt real, believable and full of possibilities for them all.

I had a blast back in Crossvine Creek and I’m already looking forward to the next visit… perhaps around Christmas. If you love a heartfelt romance that takes some time to come to life yet the love is felt throughout the journey, or happen to love an adorable little girl who will make you smile, or even just love a small-town romance with lots of possibilities – then you’ll want to read ‘Pumpkin Patch Sweethearts‘ (and ‘Dog Park Sweethearts‘ if you haven’t already) real soon. You’ll fall in love and enjoy every moment.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher, Tule Publishing. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

A shy little girl, a big sensitive father who is also a football coach, a spirited holiday loving art teacher are the main characters in this sweet holiday themed romance.

Harley Walsh is in love with the shy but very talented little girl in one of her art classes. The little girl's shyness and uncertainty disappear as soon as she touches paint or clay. Harley remembers what it was like to be the shy and uncertain child. She is herself still dealing with having gone to New York City to try and find work as an artist and coming home with a broken heart. Harley is happy to be back home though in Crossvine Creek, Texas. She loves the small town she grew up in and loves the fall traditions the town celebrates. Everything from picking pumpkins to the local high school homecoming are fair game for her. And she loves her pumpkin spice.

Josh McBride has moved himself and his two young children to Crossvine Creek in hopes of being able to find a balance in their lives and to start over. Josh was widowed several years ago when his daughter was very young and it has been him raising his two children along with help from his mom. But his mother has passed away so he is looking for a new start in a smaller town where he can balance his work like and his family life. Being a successful football coach means that Josh can pick which job he wants and he has fallen in love with the town of Crossvine. While the town loves their football, they also love family time and acknowledge that there is more to life than football.

Josh is afraid to love despite the zings he feels whenever he is around Harley. Harley is also afraid to act on these zings. Can these two overcome their pasts and realize they are meant to be? Can puppies be the secret to them falling in love? You will have to read the book to find this part out though.

I did enjoy this novel despite a dip or two into saccharine sweetness. Most of the time, holiday romance books are written around the Christmas holidays but in this one, it is really more about the fall season with Halloween included. It has made me wish fall has really arrived here in my section of the country.

I did receive a copy of this novel in advance from Tule Publishing in exchange for a fair and unbiased review. I admit to preferring cats controlling the world over dogs so I took a chance on this book and was surprised I liked it. But it did need some cats to guide everyone including the puppies.

I received this arc from Tule Publishing in exchange for an honest review. This was a sweet small town romance that takes place over the fall season in Crossvine Creek Texas. This is the second book in the series about the 2 Welsh sisters, Harley and Autumn. Harley is the focus in this story. She, her sister and her dad share a house and she and Autumn run an art studio. The schools don’t offer much art so they contracted with the sisters to provide classes. On the way to work one morning Harley runs into a man at the coffee shop spilling her pumpkin drink all over him. He wasn’t very happy about it.

We learn there is a sweet little girl in Harley’s art classes that is really enjoying it. Her name is Nadia. She and Harley form a special bond and both love doing art and spending time together. Harley is surprised to learn that the man she spilled her pumpkin drink on is Nadia’s father, Josh. She also learns Josh is the new football coach and he also has a son, Tucker. Harley learns that they’ve moved to Crossvine Creek to start over. Josh’s wife passed away from cancer several years prior. His mother had been helping with the children and she passed away too of a stroke right in front of Nadia. Harley comes up with an idea to involve Josh and his children in all the fall activities of their town. She makes a schedule with a list of events and gives it to Josh to follow. She is hoping to help Nadia to feel more comfortable and a part of the new community. Tucker has fit in and made friends but Nadia struggled. They go to the corn maze, the pumpkin patch, the festival, bake apple dumplings, make art projects and Josh and Harley get to know each other.

Harley’s sister and her fiancé are active in the pet rescue and both adopted dogs. When Josh and his kids go to the festival, they visit the shelter booth and a very cute dog is available and Josh agrees to adopt the dog, Chewy, that his kids have fallen in love with. Harley and her sister attended the football games and cheered loudly. When her sitter wasn’t able to attend, they took Nadia under their wing and she had a blast watching her dad’s team play. Harley and Josh spend time alone too and realize they are falling for each other.

This is a really enjoyable book. The characters are so likable. The town seems like a great place to live. The story is really entertaining and a sweet romance. This would make a terrific Hallmark movie.

Pumpkin Patch Sweethearts is the second book in the Welsh Sisters series. I’ve only recently discovered this author, so I haven’t read the first book in the series yet, but this book was fine as a stand-alone. The season of fall in Crossvine Creek seems magical and inspires new family traditions.
Football coach Josh McBride had lost his wife to cancer and then recently his mother “Lolly” had passed. He moved his family to the small town of Crossvine Creek for a new beginning. His daughter Nadia is struggling with the move and the loss of her “Lolly.” She is extremely shy and only comes out of her shell with Miss Harley and during art class. Josh is afraid of getting hurt again so he tries to fight his attraction to Harley, but she has become important to him and his family.
Harley Welsh was shy as a child and she has been able to connect with the quiet Nadia through art. To help the McBride family, she gives them a list of fall activities in Crossvine Creek and invites them to participate with her family. She loves the fall season and hopes the events and outings will help the McBride family feel welcome and enjoy all that Crossvine Creek has to offer. Falling in love with Josh complicates things since he made sure she understood they could never be more than friends.
I really enjoyed this book and fell in love with the characters and the small town of Crossvine Creek. I can’t wait to read the first book in the series. The book was beautifully written, flowed smoothly, and was fast-paced. The characters were charming, realistic, and so easy to fall in love with. I look forward to reading more books by this author and hope to see some of the Crossvine Creek characters in the future.
I received an ARC and am willingly leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Pumpkin Patch Sweethearts by Sasha Summers is a gloriously written, sweet romance set in Crossvine Creek, Texas and is Book 2 in the Welsh Sisters series.

This is the story of Harley Welsh, who has lived in the small-town for most of her life and Josh McBride, a widower who is the new high-school football coach, and experiencing a fresh start in Crossvine Creek with his 2 young children. It is through Nadia, Josh’s daughter that Harley and Josh meet and you can see the chemistry start to slowly burn between these two right from the get-go.

Harley and her sister Autumn own an art studio, with local children enjoying the art programme that is on offer. Harley and Nadia build a rapport, a closeness that stems from Harley recognising a shy child similar to herself during her youth and Josh begins to slowly appreciate that Harley Welsh may be somebody his family needs.

Full of warmth, and family traditions, Pumpkin Patch Sweethearts will have you smiling throughout, there are glorious sounding Fall events the small-town holds every year from football games, to pumpkin decorating and wonderful foods to enjoy. This book made me feel so many experiences, I could practically taste the pumpkin spice coffee!
Sasha Summers allows her readers the luxury of getting to know the characters over the first few chapters, their past hurts, their current feelings and I seriously laughed at a few of Harley’s thoughts as she tries to stay focussed and not fall for Josh.
However, it is little Nadia who steals the show, with her sweetness and shy personality. We could see her butterfly wings unfolding as she gained confidence in herself and her new life and the townsfolk of Crossvine Creek.
A good story always has a cast of secondary characters, and Pumpkin Patch Sweethearts delivers with Autumn Welsh, Harley’s sister, Autumn’s boyfriend Noah, and the girls father and his girlfriend, Cynthia. There is a gaggle of matchmaking retirees, who made me laugh on quite a few occasions and Tucker, Josh’s 10 year old son. These characters bring their own part to the book, but it is definitely a romance story between Harley and Josh, as they both try to fight their innate attraction to one another!
Pumpkin Patch Sweethearts is a 5 star read for me. It is a sweet romance, and can be read as a stand-alone. Well-written, and flowing, this book grabbed me from the first chapter and was a very enjoyable read. I thank the publisher and author for the early copy I received. This is an honest review and all opinions are my own.

Pumpkin Patch Sweethearts (The Welsh Sisters #2) by Sasha Summers is an enchanting fall story. It puts you right in the mood for the change of the season from summer to autumn. All of the fun fall activities done by the Welshes and the McBrides made you feel as if you were right there with them. During this still safer at home time this was wonderful to be able to enjoy it with the characters. Now I plan to make cloved apples with my grandchildren when they are with me on one of their remote learning days.

Mr. Gruff meets Miss Sunshine in this sweet clean romance of new family being welcomed to Crossvine Creek. While this is supposed to be Josh’s and Harley’s romance, kindergartener Nadia and her older brother, Tucker stole every scene that they were in, which were a lot. Josh’s concerns were realistic as well as Harley’s. The only thing bothering me is that suddenly these concerns were cast aside. It did not take quite a whole month, which doesn’t seem long at all.

Still I can recommend Pumpkin Patch Sweethearts as well as the first book in the series. While there are only two Welch sisters I still hope that this series continues. A returning friend had a teaser moment so now I would like to read his story.

An ARC of the book was given to me by Tule Publishing which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Grab a box of tissues and make sure you have plenty of time this weekend to hit your local pumpkin patch because you will be wanting to do that and more after reading this wonderful feel-good book by author Sasha Summers. This book was just what we needed at this time after being homebound for most of 2020. I knew the moment I turned the pages and read that that there was a widower with 2 young children one of which is a shy 5-year-old girl who just happens to love art that this was a book that would steal my heart and could be read time and time again in my home. Harley Welsh is an Art teacher who sees herself in many of her students young and old but especially wee little Nadia and her brother Tucker. Coach Josh is broken is so many ways not counting the miscommunication that he and Harley seem to have every other day. It would hurt if it was not so funny to watch. Grab your tissues and yes even a pad and pencil because our author gives us a great listing of fun ways to get through the Fall this year with events that will keep all active and engaged from the youngest to old of us .... even those of us outside the pages of a book. This book is the second in a series and both I have truly enjoyed. Hopefully, we are getting Grant's book next?

3.5/5

Harley and her sister Autumn run an art studio and classes in a small little Stars Hollow-esque town. One of Harley's favourite students is adorable 5 year old Nadia, a shy kid who adores art and Harley.

Nadia's Dad is a widower (with arms the size of Redwoods, apparently, which must make it very hard for him to find jackets) who coaches the local High School football team when he's not looking after Nadia and her 10 year old brother.

Sparks fly, yada yada - everyone's nice, the kids aren't annoying, the townsfolk are nosey but well-intentioned, the story is sweet, everything's cute and if you too have been recently victimised by My Killer Vacation, you can read this book about an equally large yet MUCH cleaner leading man without fear of his Johnson being mentioned.

The real pull for me here, which will come as no surprise to anyone, is the town itself. The cosy fall vibes are IMMACULATE. We're talking pumpkin patches, corn mazes, pie eating contests, pumpkin spice lattes, blankets at football games - it's just all very very sweet, very Movies 24, very predictable, very welcome.

I liked it a lot, especially for a book that featured children so heavily (not my thing, says the mother of three). Oh! And there are dogs.

Harley knows how she is struggling and suggest that they do the the countdown to the Great Pumpkin Patch—something she remembered fondly from her own childhood. I received a free ARC copy of this book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This was a really adorable story with a fun, small town big on fall holiday traditions with some really awesome characters. Its my first time reading this author and its a 2nd story in the series but it easily stands alone.

Josh is a grumpy coach with Tiucker, a ten year ol d son, and Nadia, a 5 year old. They have moved to a new town as he is the new high school football coach. His daughter is reeling from losing her grandmother to a stroke until she meets artist and teacher, Harley.

Harley falls hard for Nadia and wants to help her but she is anti a relationship so when Josh is attrcated to her she runs away a lot. I loved watching Nadia, Tucker and Josh fall for small town life and the traditions and fall for Harley and her entire family.

This was a fun romance with a hot single dad, the art teacher that loved his daughter and I adored it.
