"When it comes to Asher, I can’t seem to leave my heart out of it."

Goddamn, I love Viv and Asher so much.

"Even if she looks like an angel on the outside, sin burns within her."

Restorations continue after Restrained, where we see my personal complex favorite couple once again in action, Asher fighting his feelings for Viv and Viv trying to letting go of her love and find solace in another person.

"...no matter what, I won’t hurt him again, even if my heart splinters into a million pieces."

What I loved about this book was Viv's growth as a person after Restrained. One year without Asher hovering over and making her feel void really did well for her. She grew as a character. Also, Asher matured so much in this book. I mean he was still brooding and pretty much jerk but he actually had a partially open mind, unlike last time.

"Colt left a piece of himself behind when he died. Baz was our gift, and I'll make damn sure he has everything he needs."

Colt's death revelation was mentioned which made so many things clear. I was amazed at the information that how I didn't notice that before? Little details made this book woah for me. At the very very end, we get to see the HEA and I was so ecstatic and happy when that happened.

I'm very curious about what would happen with Sawyer now. What he did that was so unthinkable and unforgivable? I'm so on for Sawyer whenever the author decides to write his story although I can't help but be a bit sad to see him in this book where he was not that much into Viv. From "Restrictions" it was shown that Sawyer was actually feeling something for Viv and was willing to try but in this book he and Viv both had commitment phobia ( THAT'S FINE) but he didn't even felt even a pinch of jealousy or envy when Viv broke up with him, so that was quite off for me.

“And that’s love, isn’t it? Fixing what’s broken inside a person by merely being there?”

Finally, all the Sterlings got their HEA and it couldn't be any more beautiful.

Highly recommended series- not any cliches.

"I’ll never stop missing my brother, but standing here, there’s no bitterness or anger left. It’s just us. Broken and scarred, but healing and oh, so very happy."

I took my time with this book as much as I could. I didn’t want it to end , and when it did ; I stared at my kindle, crying. I feel like I’m a part of the Sterling family now.

The fact that Viv and Asher’s story continued made me so happy. I love both of their characters. Viv is such a fierce woman. The fact that she had a backbone , made me love her even more. Asher , by far is my favorite Sterling sibling - that’s it, I’m claiming him. (Try and fight me) His lines in all the books were my favorite. I sat there laughing at his jokes.

Don’t get me started on the ANGST in this book. I love a book with lots of angst and this one served A LOT of it.

Nicole Dykes has become one of my top favorite authors. I love the way she writes. It’s so easy flowing , it all makes sense, and she has a way of making you love characters even if they have lots of faults.

Needless to say , I’m going to read ALL of her books

I survived the summer of Sterlings. And it was easier than I thought it would be. I was expecting much more angst in this last book, instead I got three characters that completely pissed me of. Saying you don't want to hurt someone, but doing it and taking pleasure from it in your next breathe. Jesus, these three were a mess! Out of all of them, I felt the most for Asher. I truly felt his pain, his guilt, his lack of hope. It really felt at times that the only reason he kept moving was because of Baz. God bless that kid. He truly is my fav character in the whole series.

Viv was such a mess in this book. I truly had a love/hate relationship with her and Sawyer too OMG. I gotta say that in the end it all worked out and although I don't like what he did, I truly see that when he decided to get into a relationship with Viv, he really thought Asher wouldn't care. And felt guilty af towards the end but even still he did some incredibly crazy stuff that just blew my mind and Viv man I hated her so bad during that chapter ughhh.

But even though these three characters drove me crazy and I wanted to shake them so bad, this was a crazy but amazing ending to the series. The transformation in Asher was amazing. I'm glad he was able to let go of his guilt and accept the things that brought him happiness. I'm also really glad that in the end he worked out on his issues with every member of the family. That was such a good thing to see. I'm sad to be saying goodbye to this crazy, angsty af bunch. The Sterlings are an amazing family and I'm so glad they all found their happy ending. I'm really excited about Sawyer getting his own book, I hope it happens sooner rather than later. From what we learned of what happened with the girl who got away and how they both live in the same city now, I'm truly excited and curious to see how that all will go.

Mr. Sterling Will See You Now

What’s this book about? (I'm trying to give as little spoilers as possible)
This is the final book in the Sterling Summer. I survived the Summer of the Sterlings.

This was my most-anticipated book of September, and, boyyyyyy, it delivered. It was fast-paced, angsty, and very easy to read. This family owns my heart, and I was so happy to be back in their universe. The chemistry between Viv and Asher hasn’t vanished one bit. Their banter and their relationship is as entertaining as it was in their first book. Viv has numerous badass moments. A lot of truths are spoken. Paths are taken… Choices are made. All in all, they made for a dramatic book where a certain someone had to finally realize what he was missing. Little Baz is as adorable as ever. I’m very satisfied with how Asher turned out in this book. He evolved a lot, and he made a couple of decisions that were good for him, for once LOL. I enjoyed the Summer of the Sterlings with all of its angst, love, and trauma. This family went through some tumultuous times, but here they come out on the other side. What awaits for them there? Read Restorations to find out.

This is the 4th part of the Sterling Series by the author @nicoledauthor

Asher is still grieving his brother's death. He is still angry with everyone for moving on. Moreover he is afraid of moving on to be with Viv himself.

The story moves forward after Asher suddenly shows up at Lola's. The book is gripping and a little emotional accompanied by the Sterling drama that is expected from the series. It is a perfect end to the Sterling Series that will make the readers content.

Personal Take:
This series has been an emotional roller coaster for me since the first book, Regrets. I have cried, laughed, got excited, nervous and really happy. I just love the way it is written and I don't want this series to end so soon even though I am contented with the end.

This is a review against the ARC received.

THE REVIEW FOR THE BOOK RESTORATIONS BY NICOLE DYKES.

GENRE: CONTEMPORARY ROMANCE.
AUTHOR:NICOLE DYKES.
TYPE:BOOK #4 ...
POV: DUAL POV..
MY RATING: 5 STARS..

A Marvelous ending to a brilliant series...
Have you ever had the feeling about a book...never wanting it to end but still you are absolutely content with the ending? Yes, this is that book/ series for me.
This was like the biggest mystery breaker for me... what is up with Ash and Viv? Will he be able to move on from the past tragedies or will they destroy what is left of him?

Viv was so much stronger here...her character has no doubt developed but in front of Asher she always bends..not because she is weak but because she loves him too much...
Ash still struggles here...But her love and their families strong support will bring him...that was my only hope before starting this book.

I had such expectancy from this last book, conclusion and I am not at all disappointed...Nicole gave it her all..the proof is there in front of us!!

The most addicting series...Readers who love family drama, heartbreak, angst, forbidden romance...you have to give this book a try..you won't be disappointed...I am sure!!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “They all think I hurt you.” Her eyes register guilt. “But it’s you that shattered my f**king heart into a million pieces. And we both know it.”

What you’ll find:
✔️New Adult Romance
✔️Second Chances
✔️Single Mom
✔️Angst
✔️Dual POV

The Sterling family has been through hell. And Asher, the youngest Sterling is struggling the most to find peace after tragedy and it’s ripple effects fell upon them. The love he has for his nephew is what keeps him going. Now that Asher is back with his family, will he be able to heal and find his way back to his true love?

Since reading Restrictions, I have been patiently waiting for the conclusion to Asher and Viv’s story. I knew it would be angsty but I did not prepare for the emotional rollercoaster it was. I went from feeling for them both. To being angry. To cheering them on. I have to admit, I wanted Asher to have done a little maturing. He can be such a bully. For a good part of this story I wanted to throw my kindle out of frustration with him. But he shows another side, eventually, that you can’t help but to warm up to.

Viv is such a strong heroine. I wanted her to be like, peace out✌️ But even I can admit these two, as toxic as they seem, are just waiting on the stars to align. They are it for each other. There’s some hot tension and steamy scenes. Family drama. And so much more of your favourite characters from this series. This book will grab you, leaving you reading it in no time. I really enjoyed my first series by this author! Check it out!

Asher!!!! This man broke me, sawed my heart in two, threw the pieces into the ocean then swam his hot butt out there grabbed them and sewed them back together.. like I should be okay after all that!

Look, readers should know by now going into Restorations that the fact Dykes put Lola in-between Asher and Vivienne things were gonna be rough. If they don't ... Here's their warning... IT'S SOOO ROUGH! I was crying one minute, mad the next, ready to argue with my hubby and he didn't even do anything.. he's in the man cave like babe... WTH and I'm here like.. blame Nicole!

I Love these two soooo freaking hard. Maybe stalker crazy kinda hard but that's another subject.. I digress. My bad.

If you haven't figured it out by this sentence let me make myself crystal clear, m'kay... One click this book, grab a bottle of vodka and some cranberry juice (cause wine ain't gonna cover this), a box of kleenex (I know that stuffs like gold.. but you're gonna need it), some of the good expensive chocolate..I'm talking some ghirardelli with almonds or that satiny carmel and lock the door. Tell the hubby if he wants dinner he better leave ya alone or better yet order pizza and devour this baby. Savor every word and every line cause they are FIRE!

Okay.. stop waiting, get to clicking!

I started this book at 1:15am and finished at 4:45am. That’s right, once I picked it up I couldn’t put it down. Then after doing that I was so angry at myself because it was done and I didn’t want it to be. Yes, it is that good!
It took me up, down, sideways and in every other direction. It elicited feelings I didn’t even know I had.
I loved every main character in this book. Yes, every main character. There is one character I wasn’t too thrilled with but they needed to be there.
Asher, oh my heart. What a troubled soul. He ripped me up. Even though he could be the ultimate jackass it was only because he’s so tortured. He’s complex, stubborn, lost, lovable, sexy and in desperate need of peace. If only he could stop fighting with himself and give himself a break. Things happened with him that I was totally unprepared for but it brings a whole different dynamic to him.
Viv, what a strong heroine. To go through everything she’s been through and still have the grit and tenacity to stay true even when she doesn’t want to, shows women are truly the stronger sex. Watching her evolution as a mom, woman, lover and being empowered by her new family was so gratifying.
Watching Asher and Viv’s relationship was intense, torturous at times, beautiful at others, and definitely hot!
Learning more about Swayer was fascinating. There are scenes (that I won’t spoil for you) but you definitely need to turn up the A.C. And bring a fan. There’s also the tender scenes especially if Baz is in them. Bring the tissues because you will tear up from happiness and sadness.
Of course all the other Sterlings are there to round out this wonderful cast of characters. One of the aspects of this family that I love the best is that it could happen in any family. No one really knows what goes on behind closed doors. Every family has their issues. Some have truly deep stuff going on in their world. Life and relationships change in a heartbeat. This series tells that tale. This author truly knocks it out of the park with this series. There are series you will treasure and become go to books. This is one of those series. To the author I say thank you for this journey BUT I’m also a little ticked off at you because I am so not ready for this to be over! Kudos, Nicole!

Editing to add audio review. I love this series and no matter if I read it or I listen I am still so in love with this family and this couple! The narrators were absolutely perfect for Ash and Viv. Bringing there characters to life with amazing perfection. This series is still one of my all time faves and I highly recommend it because the series as a whole encompasses so many romances genres (dark, second chance, childhood sweet hearts just to name a few)

With the book hangovers from Restrictions and Redemption waiting for this book as been agony. Nicole does not disappoint with the final book of the Family family and nails it. I would give this entire series all the stars. Each book alone is amazing but together they are an epic story of love and hate, life and loss and just gut wrenching in the emotional angst she throws your way. This book takes you’re heart through an emotional rollercoaster just like all the others. I cried tears for this couple because Nicole does a phenomenal job of make all her characters so real and you become so invested. I’m not giving anything away because I don’t want to ruin anything for you but when books have lines like this I’m still the fool in love with the broken boy, and he’s still, well . . . broken”. How can you not want to hug the poor girl. Get your snacks and your tissue because once you start trying to adult seems much less important then reading the next line. Hands down one of my favorite series of the year!

5 Redemption Crowns

Wow just wow, Nicole has taken us on an emotionally intense and healing journey of one family’s descent into grief and each individual’s path to acceptance. The Sterling’s have owned a piece of my heart and soul since the first book, each of these characters trials and tribulations to overcome their anguish and try and move on with their lives; not to forget those they’ve lost but to accept that they aren’t coming back and they deserve to be happy will touch your soul.

But no one’s journey was more powerful than Asher and Viv’s. Asher is the youngest and has been dealing with not only losing his brother but essentially losing his entire family in the process. Each one handled their grief in their own ways, but they left Asher to handle it alone. Asher has some deep rooted feelings of abandonment that he has to overcome in order to really accept the tragedy and move on from it. The growth that he has during his duet was gut wrenching, it was hard to sit back and watch as he self-destructed but then as the pages progress and the story moves on you see him slowly coming to terms with his loss. But the main reason he’s able to that is Viv. She helps him see that even though Colt is gone he still deserves to be happy.

There are some hard revelations that come out in this book, and it makes the characters really have to sit back and look at what was happening around them and Colt. They had to really look at what his life was like at the time, and really dissect why he had chosen to do what he did. Everyone always thought of him as perfect, but no one is and Colt had proven that fact.

This series is not an easy one, Nicole’s words are like a vice grip on your heart and as the story progress that vice gets tighter and tighter until it’s hard to breathe underneath the level of emotions that she elicits. Asher and Viv are absolute perfection together, their connection and love is so strong that you can feel it pour from the pages covering you in the visceral sensations of it. These characters are the kind that live with you long after you’ve finished, not really ever moving on from their stories. This is not just a series, its passion, its strength, it’s healing, it’s addictive, it’s a rebirth of souls and a must read of 2020!

Restorations (The Sterlings, #4) By Nicole Dykes. (2020/09/25)
Rating 3/5 Stars
Disclaimer: I received an e-ARC from Wildfire Marketing Solutions and Nicole Dykes. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book in the continuation of Asher and Vivienne’s story (Restrictions book #2 of The Sterlings Series) and should not be read as a standalone.

This story starts off with Asher becoming Viv’s new roommate. Asher is still upset by Viv because she took away Baz and Baz is the only thing that he has in his life that makes him truly happy. Viv is still in a friends-with-benefits relationship with Sawyer and isn’t looking for something serious. When Asher and Viv start to spend more time together again Asher has to decide if he can really be the person that Viv needs to be or if he should just let her go. Essentially this is a Forced proximity/Second Chance romance.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time reading this novel. I liked how we got to see the main characters come to terms with the fact that they are not the same people they were a year ago. I loved how Viv’s character evolved throughout the novel and how strong she really became.

I loved seeing how much everyone cared for Baz. I really liked how we got to see how all the characters mature through this series especially Penelope and Linc. I really liked how Sawyer and Viv didn't end on bad terms because I really liked his relationship with Baz.

Something that hindered my enjoyment of this novel was I felt that there was a lot of repetition and I didn’t find that necessary because it didn't add to the story. I also felt it took Asher too long to figure out what he wanted.

Overall, if you are looking for a quick series to binge read, I definitely recommend reading this series. I cannot wait to read more from this author. Once again thank you to Wildfire Marketing Solutions and Nicole Dykes.

Y'all! I survived the Summer of Sterlings, and what a summer is was! I can't believe how quickly Nicole Dykes gave us the 4 books in this series, but I am in love with her words and her storytelling. If you’re reading this review then I can only assume you know how much the Sterling family has gone through to get to this point, and this book was Asher's second chance to face his demons and overcome his fears. Vivienne's character grew so much through the series and I loved seeing her strong and fierce, admitting her mistakes, and eager to move forward. This was such an interesting story arc as these two went from Friends, to Lovers, to Enemies, and more.

"Everything seemed almost normal. Calm even. But with Asher, there's always a storm brewing under the surface. He's afraid to be happy."

Nicole knows how to write a story so strong, the words just flow and the emotions run free. She brings all the steam, all the heart, and all the drama. I'm giving Nicole Dykes and the Sterlings ALL the Stars! Whew, this summer has been quite a rollercoaster! What a ride it's been! I adored every minute of the ups and downs, the twists and turns, and the final smooth glide home. Thank you Nicole!!

Huge thanks to the author and Wildfire Marketing for the arc!

Finally! Ash and Viv finally has found their HEA! But what for a way to go ...
I mean, the cliffy by Restrictions was so mean after all the angst and heartbreak we had to going through.
Thank you, Nicole, for Restrained - the breather in between, where we saw glimpses of Viv and Ash - those glimpses were hurting because they were hurting.
Restorations!? All the hurt, the angst, all the emotions were coming back with a roar.

My heart bled for Asher and Viv the same, although I wanted to climb my way into the book to shake some sense into Ash.
I wanted to punch Sawyer in this pool scene.
I couldn't believe that Viv let this happen in said pool scene.

I felt Viv - caught between two guys.
One who she didn't love, but felt secure, happy and carefree.
The other one who was fighting his feelings, because he was afraid, and was mean.

Asher? I'm so proud of him for what he became, although he was the little jerk as we knew him, but just wore this behavior as his armor. But his armor? It's been cracking with every single day he was around Baz and Viv.
I've been so glad he overcame his angst, to become his father. I'm also happy, that he finally found his peace.

I so recommend this whole series to you!
Come and dive into this angsty, emotionally and beautifully world of love, hope and forgiveness. Come and fall in love with The Sterling's. You won't regret it!

“You’re living in the past. You’re afraid to let yourself be too happy. You’re afraid to tell me you love me.”

I was so nervous for the conclusion of Ash and Viv’s story, but I’m happy to say that Nicole Dykes did us right!! Oh boy, the chemistry between Ash and Viv was something else 🔥 That pool scene my lord I thought it was going to lead to something else
I’m so sad that this was the last book in the Sterlings series, but I’m excited for what the author has in store for us. Also, super ecstatic that Sawyer is getting his book in the future

I highly recommend this series if you are a fan complicated romances and family drama. Just make sure you start off with Regrets

Finally the ending to Ash and Viv’s story. This put my heart through a grinder. The 1st half was messy and rightly so, these characters have a lot of baggage and they are both hurting miserably.

Yet they cannot get enough of each other and their attraction becoming right out toxic if they cannot sort out their priorities and acknowledge what they truly want. Nicole Dykes navigated through the story beautifully and gave time for the characters to grow and truly understand where they stand in life. They had an amazing family who helped them right through it and finally understand that they deserve to be just as happy and not feel guilty for what they feel.

I loved Asher’s character and his character development was amazing. I loved to see him grow throughout the story and come to terms with his feelings and anger. I loved how he did try his best to finally find his happiness and give love a chance.

Asher and Baz moments were total swoon and so adorable. And that epilogue was something else entirely ❤️

I was so nervous about this book and what was going to happen between Ash and Viv. This book was EVERYTHING!!! I wanted to throat punch Asher many times and wanted him to get his shit together! I don’t want to give anything away because you need to experience this for yourself, but I barely survived The Summer of Sterlings. This book really wore me out emotionally but left me completely satisfied! I love this family with all heart and love Nicole Dykes for writing it!!!!

Excuse me Mr Sterling..? Is it hot in here or is it just you??? 🙊

Nicole turned up the heat and all the feels for this final instalment of the Summer of Sterlings! Asher Sterling has stood by... as his family moved forwards and dealt with the aftermath of losing Colt. Whilst everybody around him found some way to be happy after tragedy, he has found it difficult to move on, with every ounce of potential happiness feeling like a bitter and painful reminder of what his brother never got to experience. And there is no more bitter pill to swallow than the fact that he is in love with Viv, the woman who his brother had a one night affair with before his death and the mother of Colt’s child.

Through the heartache, he desperately clung to the love he has for Sebastian, Colt’s adorable legacy, while trying his best to navigate the storm of grief. Although his words deny it, the reality is that his heart knows where it belongs and it will always be with Viv. Viv has grown in her own right and although she knows that Asher loves her, she stands up for what she deserves. I won’t lie - there were some parts of this book that made me want to throw my kindle in frustration. One scene had me all confused as to whether I was hot and bothered or down right livid - still not sure on this one (you’ll know it when you get there 🤣). Buuuut.... Nicole has a way of writing that leaves you hanging on to her every word and walking the path with her characters.

This is a story of healing and love, of push and pull between what you think is right and what your heart wants. The heart wrenching story of a broken man desperately trying to find a way to let go of the past but hold onto it in the same breath. I will miss the Sterlings but can’t wait to read more from this author.

"The magnetic pull toward him hasn't lessened in the slightest, and some days I feel helpless against it."

OMG I have loved every moment of the Sterlings series and Restorations was an amazing final chapter!! I couldn't wait for this book as I needed the resolution after that cliffhanger in Restrictions. I tried to savor every moment of this book but found myself unable to to stop turning the pages of Asher and Viv's story. Asher- I wanted to strangle him and hug him at the same time. He had so much anger built up and wouldn't allow himself to admit his feelings for Viv. But I definitely understood where he was coming from because he was left alone to deal with tragedy and the anger was his way of processing it. And Viv- she was still reeling from the rejection that she had felt from falling in love with Ash.

"But now I see everything is exactly how it was meant to be"

These two did not make it easy enough with all of their push and pull but their chemistry remained scorching! I loved seeing Asher finally mature through his teaching and all of his epiphanies and I'm so glad Viv finally realized that Ash kept throwing up defense mechanisms but that he loved her all the same. Also was so glad to see Ash's conversation with his other siblings that led to his realization that he needed to let go of his anger over his brother's death. The ending of this book was absolute perfection and I may need another epilogue or two! Finding this series and this author has been such a highlight for me and I cannot recommend it enough!!

Even if she looks like an angel on the outside, sin burns within her. And it’s fucking hot.

Restorations is the final book in the Sterling series, and it’s also the continuation of Viv and Ash’s story which began in book two Restrictions. Viv and Ash are roommates again and there’s a lot of unresolved emotions for them both. This final book is messy, complicated, painful, but we get to see them both grow and become the best versions of themselves and find that ultimate love.

In the middle, there’s cute and sweet little Baz who I swear will melt your heart so freaking fast. I love that kid. Viv is such an amazing mom and Ash goes above and beyond when it comes to his duties as an uncle. I loved how the author made sure that even though Ash and Viv have conflict, they are a united front when it comes to Baz. I’m so glad we finally got to see the brooding and full of grief Ash finally find his slice of happiness. Ash was already hot, but Mr. Sterling the kindergarten teacher? Hot AF and a definite panty melter. There’s just nothing hotter than a man that is excellent with kids.

This series has been an emotional ride y’all. It is full of angst, secrets, family, drama, grief, lust, and chemistry. If you enjoy any of what I just described, you need to pick up this series. The writing is excellent and fast paced. Seriously I flew through all of these.

It was so worth having to wait for Restorations, Nicole never disappoints, and she certainly didn't with the conclusion to Asher and Vivienne!! I have felt so many things reading this series, and my anger at Asher would fluctuate, to the point I wanted to take a bat upside Asher's head!! He's so damn stubborn, and thinks he has everything figured out, but he's far from having things figured out. Everyone feels so much guilt about Colt including Asher, but Asher has put Colt so high on a pedestal, and sees nothing but perfection where Colt is concerned, and everybody else did him wrong...not seeing that Colt wasn't perfect, he had faults just like everyone else, Asher has been so angry for so long, and wallowing in a way in his grief, he doesn't want to hear the truth, weather it be about his brother, or the fact that Viv has feelings for him, and god forbid he admit that he may just love her too. He's angry that everyone seems to be moving on, finding love, and he's just stuck. Will he stay there, or will he actually start hearing what people are and have been trying to tell him? Will he allow himself to be happy...and will he allow himself to love Viv? Guess you'll just have to read this awesome conclusion to an amazing series to find out!! I do recommend reading the first 3 books in the series to get the whole picture...it'll be worth it, Nicole is the bomb!!

~ Received ARC for an honest review ~

I was so so excited for this book after reading both Restrictions and Restrained and it didn't disappoint at all. I loved it! I devoured this book in one sitting and I was right in saying that Nicole created a perfect storm with Asher and Viv. The push and pull, the angst, the hot glances and the love, everything got my heart. And Baz, oh how cute he is! I wish his crush pans out lol.

As we know from the previous books in this series, Asher and Viv have developed a complicated history but will it remain in the past? Of course not, since Asher has decided to stay at Lola's and keep close to Baz. Now mix in a hurt and angry Asher, Viv who loves him, and Viv and Sawyer's no-name relationship and this is the ahh-mazing story you get! Will Ash and Viv get together or will their toxicity never leave them?

I loved all the family members who took it upon themselves to lecture Ash because I literally wanted to dive into my kindle and shake him.😂🙈Also, I want Sawyer's book because he intrigued me throughout the whole book. The intensity during some scenes made me hold in a breath and the steam, omg!! Let's just say, I want to have a piece of, Mr Sterling🤤😛

I mean, what is there to say? Nicole knows how to write a story so strong that I live these characters emotions with them. If you’re reading this review then I can only assume you know how much the sterling family has gone through to get to this point, and this book was Ashers second chance to face his demons.

“And nothing has really changed. I’m still the fool in love with the broken boy, and he’s still, well . . . broken.”

I was still hurting for Viv, I was still hurting for Asher. They made everything so complicated and I didn’t always understand why. There were times when I wanted to throw my kindle across the room because they were both being so god damn stubborn. JUST TELL EACH OTHER HOW YOU FEEL. I believe sometimes they made the wrong choices, ones that could have been easily prevented but also without them I don’t think they would have understood how much they truly meant to each other. By the end I understood that they needed time to figure out what they both wanted, what they needed in order to grow. They came a long way, not just as individuals but together. I’m kinda sad it’s all over but I’m looking forward to see what Nicole has in store for us next!

I am so sad to see the Sterlings go. The summer of Sterlings has kept my focus away from the chaos going on out in the world. Forget the news, I needed to know what happens next with the Sterling clan. The story once again circles back to Asher and Vivienne, and of course my favorite - Baz. Baz is the rainbow we get when Nicole throws a Tsunami of drama our way. And trust me, she knows how to make drama. Hot, intense, angsty drama. Loyalty is tested, hearts betrayed, amends made and broken. The story is full of twists and turns.

I adore this family. I've cried, yelled, shouted, begged and been outraged on their behalf. Nicole has put them ALL through the paces in this series. It was amazing. Will this family every see the end of their stormy times? You will not know unless you pick up the entire series. Let's just say, your heart, nerves and mind will be tested. But it is so worth the journey. I truly am sad to say goodbye to these characters. Nicole has a way of creating such realistic personalities, I get a bit misty eyed when I realize they aren't my real friends. Regardless, this story, no this series, was one of her best ones yet.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Restorations the final book in the Sterling series by the lovely Nicole Dykes!

This is Vivian and Asher’s second book, and at the end of Restrictions I was dying to read more of their story!
And I was not disappointed with their conclusion, instead I was left feeling satisfied after my Summer of Sterlings!

Vivian and Asher are convinced they are bad for one another, and watching them learn throughout this book that they aren’t is just oof I loved seeing it! As much as I loved seeing Ash mature because that was so important and beautiful to see🥺. Okay and the moment he realized he was in love Gah it was just PerFectiOn *chefs kiss* !!

And Sebastian my lil Baz he is such a sweet lil book child sometimes book kids annoy me but Baz was just written so well and I absolutely adore him!

Over all this final book was such a great read!

Swearer (yes I call him that even in my head now 😂) I’m so excited for his story but I’ve decided I’ll be okay with the wait... I’m kidding, I’m so excited I need itttt🥺!

Restorations brings us the EPIC conclusion to the story of Asher and Viv. This couple have been friends, lovers, enemies and through it all just can't stay apart. They seem bound to destroy each other (and my heart in the process!) and provide so many angst filled moments. I devoured this book as I loved these characters and wanted to see where the words would take them. They all seem to have matured so much since that first book and seeing their development was amazing. That epilogue tugged at all my heartstrings! It was a wonderful journey and am so glad to have found Nicole Dykes!

As excited as I was to read this book I am so sad to see this series come to an end. The summer of Sterlings has been a fantastic one! Great ending to this series!

I survived (barely) the summer of Sterling!

Restorations the fourth and final book in the series was focused around the tumultuous relationship that is Viv and Ash. These two broke me more times than I can count. I loved being there for the start, middle and finally the conclusion of their relationship.
The bond Ash had with Baz was probably my favorite in the entire series. The love he has for that little boy wasn’t due to an “obligation”, but for the sheer fact he loved and adored that little boy by his own making.

Nicole invested me in this family. She made me laugh, cry, yell and fall In love.

First things first. It’s not me writing this review. It’s my ghost. I am DECEASED.
Did I survive the summer of Sterlings? Nope, I sure didn’t.

Did I love it? Yes.

I’m not gonna lie, I was soooooo mad with how Asher & Viv left off in their last book. And then the pause while we got some Lola in our lives. I was dying.

But all my dreams have come true. And it was a beautiful, utterly heartbreaking adventure. And I cannot wait for more.

Ash and Viv's story continues in this book and these two gave me all the angsty feels in their first novel Restrictions. When Sawyer showed up on his sister doorstep at the end of the last book saying he needs to be in Baz's life so is staying with her now, Uh Oh was the first thought into my head. The timing, the situation, the anger from Ash was all front and centre for a large part of this book.

I loved that Nicole didn't shy away from the resentment Viv and Ash had towards each other or the array of emotions they were both holding onto despite the time that has passed. Exploring and navigation those things made for a great story; but I sure wanted to smack them both round the head a few times. Add Sawyer into the mix and some scenes were explosive in a multitude of ways. One character that deserves a little shout out is Baz, this kid is just a fantastic addition to the story and adds the levity you need from the intense emotional turmoil. Viv is a fantastic mother to that boy and the was Ash is with him makes my heart melt.

I am beyond happy with how the story played out and the HEA that was reached. It wasn't as angsty as I expected but I think for these two characters after what they had gone through already. The anger and the feelings from Ash especially that have gone unacknowledged for so long needed to be the main focus here, they needed to work through that to finally see how special what they have really is. The Sterlings are for sure my fave series of Nicole's so far but I have yet to meet the Monroe's so only time will tell. As I listened to the Audiobook I can hands down say that Dash Coleman and Thurlow Holmes were amazing! Their performances were on point and I couldn't think of anyone better to portray these characters!
