I have read a lot of moving-abroad books, mainly about the particular country I want to move to. Since this one is not country specific, I was not sure it would be helpful. Glad I was so wrong. Just read it!
Somewhat helpful in a general sort of way. Most useful chapter was on different types of visas - who knew there were so many?!? Really needs a list of online resources at the end.
I didn't finish this one because moving abroad is more of a pipe dream that will never actually happen versus a reality for me, and this book is SPECIFIC. Super detailed and quite frankly, I just found it overwhelming. Apparently, moving abroad is wayyyy more complicated than I'd initially envisioned. But if you do find yourself imminently moving abroad, this book feels like the end-all be-all solution and probably a must-read.
Some good info for Americans moving abroad. I would’ve liked a few more concrete tips and information though. A little too much ‘mindset’ stuff for my taste.
