The remnants of Lecazar are in turmoil. Louella is working as hard as ever to save as many people as possible from the constantly spreading undead taint in the east. With new visitors investigating the Wave of terra mana that swept through the world, she will need to stay on her toes to protect her valley. Dealing with threats from seemingly all directions, Regan doesn't have enough mana to go around. The past makes itself known while he contends with the consequences of unleashing what the locals have started calling the Wave. Regan might have bitten off more than he can chew.
Still enjoyable, overall, with a sudden decision to go space odyssey while the minions take care of the home-front. Not bad, mind you, and it gets fairly amusing as it goes hard-SF and even a bit doctor strange, but what else would you expect when your MC is a GOD. Or, you know, a fairly high-tiered godlike entity of LitRPG dungeon core fame.
Overpowered? Yes, of course, but now we're finally getting some slight course corrections. A few knockdowns. After all, we can't let these upstart kids run ramshod across the universe. :)
My one complaint?
We don't really spend enough time on all the diverse cast of minions/minor deities/or high leveled mortals trying to get crap done. We flit between them a bit too much to really get into them.
Otherwise, if you're just looking for some beastly high-level throwdowns and godlike s**t, then you're probably looking in the right place with these novels. It's good for what it is.
I really enjoy this series, but it suffers from one serious, almost fatal flaw: too many points of view.
With so many points of view that are so disparate from each other, it bogs down the plot and slows the pace to a crawl, as well as prevents me from fully enjoying the threads I want to follow. It also leads to entirely too many plots to keep track of, almost like I’m reading multiple books simultaneously.
The POV changes are abrupt and also ill-placed at times, and that should be addressed.
Because of that flaw, I rate the story as a 3/5, but for the quality of editing and obvious care taken in crafting what’s shaping up to be a labyrinthine story without much in the way of plot holes, I’m bumping it up to a 4/5 overall. Removing some of the POV characters and resolving a few of the outstanding plot lines would go very far in improving the books overall.
Such a let down in the series. I mean removing Regen and having him start a new space travel odyssey with groundhog day was just a stupid idea. I mean having ignore the fact that a massive army is slaughtering his dungeon and he was doing nothing lol Like he gets back and is told his dungeon and valley was basically about to be destroyed. He then is like oh no I should check out what's going on lol this is after a fucking month of being gone. He only expected to be gone a day if that and when he got back after a month he didn't bother to check lol Sigh the author made him incredibly stupid. I mean he ditched everyone and let them all die in a war and he didn't care about anyone lol I am done this series went to trash what a terrible ending.
This series use the same format repeatedly for each book. Whatever major conflict or problem it happen when the main protagonist Regan was away or busy with something else. At the last minute he will save the day as usual. It really annoying when the only time the enemies have an upper hand is when Regan was preoccupied, instead of a smarter or stronger enemies.
Other than that, all the events that happen is such short time is super unrealistic. We already book 7 in the series but less than a year have pass in the story. I am putting this series on a hiatus and when I know the series is completed maybe I'll continue reading it again.
Regan continues to face greater and greater trials -- some of them aren't even the consequences of his own actions. Regan's budding romance with Alara, the Nature Dungeon Core he rescued from the Necromancer Council, grows, but may become a bit tempestuous due to his accidentally marrying the Dragoness Shona Additionally, Julie continues to lust after him.
This novel, and the series of which it is a part, will likely appeal to fans of the Fantasy, Dungeon Core, and LitRPG genres; as well as those who enjoy playing RPGs.

The hits start coming and they don't stop coming. I found it an involving read, which gets it a 5, but it is veering into having too many moving parts/POV in the story.
I think this is (supposed to be) the penultimate book in this series, so there may be pressure to tie all of these elements together. The next book will decide if this is successfully executed or not.
The overall story continues to get convoluted. The undead continue to be a problem. The Church wants a fight. And the MC is pulling more strings than he can handle. It all seems to be building to a great climax in another book. This one isn’t stand alone, but does expand the world and add some flavor. Enjoy
The last two were missing something, not in a bad way more of a build up and o lord Regan it played out so well. Also question when the the last book comes out (which hopefully won't be for a while) is it going to be free after a bit or will people have to pay, I ask because only after another book comes out does the one before it become free.
Like this entire series it's fine if you don't think too much and just enjoy the show but don't expect something that really changes the game, world building is shallow and things happen for not a lot of reason. Not worth paying money for I just wait for it to land on Kindle unlimited.
The story feels erratic, the new surprises every time you turn around are getting stale. The world view is non existent. The whole things feels like a mish mashed blurb rather than a thought out story, very disappointing.
Another amazing addition. The story just keeps expanding. Many other authors seem to fall off or flounder to keep a series going, that is not the case here. Have the next book preordered and cannot wait to read more. Keep up the good work!
Every book in this series is amazing. The plot never gets boring or drags but keeps you hooked to 3am wondering what happens next. I cant wait to read the next in this amazing series.
This book is very much an 'edge of your seat' ordeal. Regan runs into so many things that you just don't expect and it's a wild ride watching him confront them. Very enjoyable.
I love the world building that takes place in these books. The MC is as always is well crafted. The only issue I had with this book was that it felt very short.
We finally get some changes in the paradigm in a little more details about what the metaplot may be. I'm still looking forward to the rest of the series.
