A serial killer is murdering women in Detroit, and the crimes only came to light when the victims’ bodies are dragged from the depths of the Detroit River. The killer left no evidence and nothing to help in his capture. Identification of the decomposed body parts is almost impossible.
Abigail Brown is a homicide detective. This story leads her through a complicated chase to stop a serial killer. With the help of Norm Strom and her fellow officers, she identifies this psychotic killer. Her job is to stop him.
I enjoyed this story. It was an easy read with enough intrigue and suspense to keep me in the story. The characters displayed vivid personalities, interesting quirks, and fit into the storyline perfectly. I loved the lead character. Abigail was a beautiful and smart young woman. She is bright, intelligent, and intuitive in her role.
Abigail and Norm seems made for each other. They enjoy their time together and revel in their sexual compatibility while using their cop-sense to bring down the villain.
THE MOON MASK is a great start to the new series by Edmond Gagnon featuring Abigail Brown as the lead detective. I look forward to reading more about this feisty lady, her insight into the criminal mind, and her attraction to Norm Strom.
Moon Mask was a fantastic read! I've read a few of author Edmond Gagnon's books in the past, and always enjoyed them, but this is definitely my new favourite. It struck the right balance between police procedural and cop thriller. I'm looking forward to more!
