An odd funny romp that can be enjoyed in a single sitting. Lieber has a good ear for the neurotic whine of New York Jewish writers and a 1960's innocence that allows him to shamelessly lampoon gay men and ethnic minorities with crude stereotypes and broad imitations.
Goodbye Columbus meets Catch-22. Can't wait to watch the movie
Had a couple false starts, trying to decide if I wanted to read the book; eventually I got on a roll. Not sure I would've understood the movie? It was entertaining & didn't know where it was going & gave it 3 stars :)
