It's a comprehensive guide for treating autoimmune disorders holistically and preventing them from worsening rather than depending on prescription drugs. The author provides many tips and tricks to wrestle with autoimmune issues for the long haul by implementing a healthy self-care regimen. This includes diet, microbiome (gut) health, exercise, meditation, yoga, journaling, and so on. Plus, there are helpful "Check-in" exercises to keep your transformation journey intact.

Every once in a while a book comes along that helps one understand oneself so well, serves as a practical guide and is so relatable that you may well have written it yourself. Meena Chan’s writing style is sincere, practical and fact based. It’s not easy to share a personal journey and make it so relatable and accessible but Meena has done just that. A great read even if you don’t have Hashimoto’s. A must read if you do have Hashimoto’s or any thyroid, hormonal or auto immune conditions. Brava!!

The book is written in a clear and concise style, making it accessible to readers of all levels of medical knowledge. What I loved about this book is that it offers a unique and comprehensive approach to managing Hashimoto's, incorporating both medical treatment and lifestyle changes.

What sets this book apart from others on the subject is Chan's emphasis on self-care and the mind-body connection, as well as her exploration of ancient eastern principles. The book covers the mind, body, and soul, providing a comprehensive guide to healing and wellness. I particularly appreciated Chan's practical and easy-to-follow advice, as well as her humorous anecdotes and descriptions.

Overall, "The MOTTO Effect" is a timely and relevant book that provides concrete techniques and tools for managing Hashimoto's. It is a fast, easy, and comprehensive guide that would make a great gift for anyone struggling with this chronic condition. I highly recommend it!

Very Good Resource

This book is based on the author’s personal journey from sickness to health. It leaves no stones unturned, focusing on modern day medicinal approaches to a more natural approach. The bottom line though is to take full responsibility for your own health.

I like the fact that the author never gave up. Even when traditional doctors wanted her to accept her painful reality, she pursued relentlessly other avenues and the end result is absolutely beautiful.

I like the writing... it’s like having a conversation with the author. I also like the attention to details on every subject that is addressed in this book. The summary points and questions at the end of each chapter help to solidify the ideas shared.

Very Informative and Practical Guide to Healing
While I don't have Hashimoto's, I appreciate all of the hard work the author did to improve her health situation. Even if you don't have this specific medical condition, there is a large amount of useful information for improving your health and stress levels. Reading about the yoga brought back memories as It's been a while since I've participated in any yoga exercises. There is even a break-down of how the body utilizes sleep during the different hours. I also like how the book stresses a balance between traditional medicine vs. meditation, exercise, and proper diet.

Insightful information on Hashimoto autoimmune

A great book on a life altered by Hashimoto autoimmune and how to live with it and thrive in spite of it. Having never heard of Hashimoto autoimmune disease this book was incredibly insightful. Loved the check-in section and summary as there is a bunch of information available in the book. Need to note that this is a personal journey for the author as she attempts to overcome and live life with a semblance of normalcy. Really enjoyed the second half of the book that offers a different perspective and offers more mottos to live by. This is a great book to read and to be a part of the Health and Wellness genre.

Read up for a friend, learned a lot myself!

A friend of mine was going through the same struggles from Hashimoto’s disease, so I read up on it a bit, then found this book. I learned so much about it myself, and the healing processes in this book seemed like a great help. I’ll be gifting this book to then and recommend for anyone else suffering. Great detail, with charts and lists and interactive parts. 5/5

Great Overview on Maintaining Health

Although the author wrote this with an autoimmune disease in mind (which resonates with me as someone who had lupus over 40 years ago) it nevertheless is a great reminder of the key factors for maintaining health.

As someone newly diagnosed with Hashimotos this book has bee very helpful in so many ways. Knowing I am not alone in the things I am feeling and how I see my body responding to things was huge for me. Knowing there is no perfect path to feeling well with Hashimotos was the second. I have appreciated so much the connection the author has made to their recovery.

I also appreciate the clarity in their approach to a 3 pronged method in feeling well. Meditation, Diet, & Exercise. I know some will say "this is what they say about everything " However the author took the time to explain the how and why behind these three steps when dealing with Hashimotos and that was the part that has helped me understand things that others have not been able to make clear.
