“As you grow in your life of prayer, may this journal speak to your heart and deepen your faith in the God who is always near,” Ink & Willow state in the front inner flap of their book, My Prayer Journal: A 52-Week Guided Journal to Inspire A Deeper Connection with God.

~ What ~
This one-hundred-and-seventy-six-page paperback targets those who enjoy writing in journals as they reflect on praying to God over a year. With a flexible linen-like cover, the book has an ownership page, followed by instructions on how to use the book, a prayer request log, fifty-two three-page weeks of tracking prayers, twelve prayer practices, six stories behind prayers and hymns, and three inspirations on praying.

The idea of the diary is to enhance and encourage one’s prayer life. Each week contains three sections to fill out regarding what I am thankful for, what am I worried about, and what am I praying for with multiple lines to fill out. The interspersed topics further stimulate and promote praying and how to improve interacting with God.

~ Why ~
Those who want to improve their prayer life by journalling will find this beautiful book ideal for charting and keeping track of prayers, their answers, and how they can be improved. I love there are almost one-hundred lines to track prayers and update how they were answered. The subjects on writing your own song, concentric circles, and the acrostic A.C.T.S. were helpful.

~ Why Not ~
Those who do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ may not need or want a diary to write down their prayers and concerns. Others may prefer a different approach of committing prayers to memory instead of having to write them down. I prefer daily not weekly reminders for praying.

~ Wish ~
It would be helpful if the book’s binding would allow it to lay flat for writing and a marker ribbon was attached. Due to the design cover of the book, it may be used by women more than men.

~ Want ~
If you are looking for a lovely gift for yourself or a dedicated prayer warrior who journals, this is an exceptional diary that will be cherished and referenced over the years while improving one’s prayer life.

Thanks to Ink & Willow Launch Team for offering this book to read and review for my honest opinion.

Right off this book acknowledges that while we have good intentions to pray, we often fall short. This is a wonderful, helpful book that will help encourage and guide us in deepening our prayer times with God. It starts out with an 11 page request log where you can record prayer requests and answers. It then has a two page spread for each week of the year where you can record things you're thankful for, worried about, and praying for. I liked that it was weekly. There's enough space to add stuff every day if you want yet I wouldn't feel guilty if I didn't write in it every day.

After every two or three weeks, there's a special section that offers encouragement or different formats for prayer that you can try. Sometimes it includes a story behind a hymn. One section gives a spotify playlist of inspirational music to listen to. I found these sections to be very interesting and helpful. One idea I want to start right away is praying for each room in my home when I'm cleaning and doing chores. For instance, when doing dishes, I can be thanking God for providing us with food and fun times together as we share meals.

The book contains quotes on prayer and beautiful watercolor and ink drawings. I'll end with one by Max Lucado that I found especially encouraging. "Our prayers may be awkward. Our attempts may be feeble. But since the power of prayer is in the one who hears it and not in the one who says it, our prayers do make a difference" (p. 136).

If you'd like some encouragement in your prayer life, I'd highly recommend this book. Thank you to Waterbrook & Multnomah for providing me with a copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

Waterbrook and Multnomah have released a new gift product line called Ink & Willow. My Prayer Journey is a 52 week guided journal meant to aid your time with God. The pages are beautiful and filled with many helps to guide you in your journey to a more consistent and deeper time in prayer. This book begins with ten pages of a prayer request log to record your requests and answers to prayer. Each week has three sections that you can fill out: "What am i thankful for...", "I am worried about...", and "I am praying for..." Scattered throughout the journal are various ideas to help you learn how to pray better that include: scripture meditation, discovering the practice of prayer, and the story behind some well-known hymns. I think that this journal definitely looks like one that will accomplish what it is meant to do in helping you in your prayer life. This book isn't just another burden to fill out, but a beautiful book that will inspire you in your prayer journey.

***I received this complimentary book from Waterbrook, and I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions are my own.

My Prayer Journey: A 52-Week Guided Journal to Inspire a Deeper Connection with God by Ink & Willow has once again released a beautiful journal / devotional. The journal provides 10-11 pages for Prayer Request Log. This is followed by week one to record your prayers. There is plenty of space to write what one is thankful for, what one is worried about and what they are praying for. Every few weeks, there are inspirational sections, such as: devotions, quotes, advice, tips, etc. At the very end of the journey, there are additional twelve lined pages that could be used for more thoughts and prayers.
My Prayer Journey: A 52-Week Guided Journal to Inspire a Deeper Connection with God is getting a very well deserved five plus stars from me. I highly recommend it as a beautiful gift for others. I can not wait to begin my own prayer journey at the start of the year.
I received My Prayer Journey: A 52-Week Guided Journal to Inspire a Deeper Connection with God from the publisher, but was not required to write a review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.

My Prayer Journey is the most beautiful Guided Journal I have ever seen. The cover itself is lovely, but inside it is filled with wonderful quotes and artwork. I haven’t started using it yet since we only have three more months left in 2020 and will use the Faith planner that I started at the beginning of the year.

The reason why I want to begin using this for 2021 is because it’s a 52-week guided journal with prompts when you journal and a Prayer Request Log. I love the inspirational playlist that was thoughtfully included, too. There are so much to love about My Prayer Journey which is why I encourage everyone to get a copy for yourself and gift a copy to family and friends.

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher. All opinions are completely my own.

My Prayer Journey is a beautiful prayer journal! There are colorful illustrations, and organized pages to write down your prayers and God's answers. The journal section gives you weekly prompts to write in what you are grateful for, and what you are worrying about. I like this balance. In prayer we can give thanks, and then ask God for help with our worries. This journal is meant to be used through one year.

First, great paper for the cover. It's one of the things I always take note of. Then what a thoughtful companion. It has verses, quotes and hymns for reflection. Fifty-two weeks of prayer journaling. Verses to better focus on things like hope and comfort. There's also a section to record prayer requests. This will sit right by my Bible for regular use.
