Rating as a movie: R for adult language and content
My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️½🍝🛎🏖🌧
My thoughts:🔖Page 152 of 299 CHAPTER NINETEEN - They are too patient for me, but it’s for a good cause. I'm over the drama with her ex, have your lawyer do their job already.
This was enjoyable but it was a bit all over the place and the drama was overly dramatic as the issues were easy to solve but they chose not to. I was happy about the first surprise, but not surprised with what followed as it seems to be typical of this genre. I have book 3 but I'm going to give it a week.
Recommend to others: Sure this series seems to be a nice palate cleanser.

Memorable Quotes: “I’m sorry, Annie, but that little brat deserves more than a scolding. She deserves a spanking.” “No wonder Vaughn found it so difficult to work with Tina,” I said. “I hope this isn’t how she’s going to act for the whole eight weeks.” A frown creased Rhonda’s brow. “We can do this, can’t we? Keep Tina here and get her thin?” “We’re going to try our best,” I said with determination, “but, Rhonda, she won’t be our only guest. We’ll have to keep everyone else happy too.”
An enjoyable second installment of the Beach Hotel series. I enjoy the main characters' strength in adversity and their relationships with their daughters. They face the many obstacles they encounter. Through it all, they both meet and bond with the first men they've actually dated since their betrayals by their husbands. Luckily, these are the PERFECT men. The luxury of the hotel is a little OTT, so much so that I don't think I'd be comfortable there. Still there is enough to push me to read the third book, despite the continuing nastiness of an ex-husband.
This story continues the saga from Breakfast at the Beach House. The book reads as if it’s an outline of a story. The story lacks depth. It transitions from event to event with very little depth and detail. If all you’re looking for is an easy, light beach read, then this story is for you. If you’re looking for character development and an intricate plot, find something else.
Absolutely wonderful. Second in series of Beach House Hotel
Judith Keim did a wonderful job with Lunch at the Beach House Hotel . It kept my interest as to the big family. I was on edge at several parts of the daily comings and goings and I firm want to put my kindle down. I can't wait to start reading Dinner at the hotel
Book #2 picks up about a year after Ann Rutherford and Rhonda DelMonte have opened up the Beach House Hotel. Tina Marks (Valentina Marquis, a famous young movie star) is sent to the hotel in secret to lose twenty-five pounds in eight weeks for her next starring role. At first, she’s a total brat until she realizes that not everyone is wants something from her, and then she becomes more appreciative, and kind to the staff at the hotel. Her bitchy mother wants to sue the hotel because she believes Ann and Rhonda influenced her daughter to take a pause in her acting career. Vaughn Sanders, the soap opera star, asks her to marry him and he buys a house for them in Sable, FL. Rhonda becomes pregnant with her husband, Will Grayson. Her daughter, Angela, becomes pregnant, too, and the book ends with her wedding to Reggie Smithe at the hotel. Their future is going to be rough because Reggie’s parents are wealthy and snobbish.

Rhonda and Anne and the Beach House Hotel Part Two
Best friends outgoing Rhonda and practical Anne have been successful in launching their boutique hotel. In this second book Rhonda and Will get a big surprise. Anne and Vaughn make some decisions and both daughters make some big decisions. A young woman in need of help and the support of friends arrives and causes a lot of drama and distress to Ronda and Anne.
What I like about this series is the friendship between Rhonda and Anne. Their loyalty and willingness to be there for each other and their business and their families. I like the sense of community among the employees. Their backgrounds and personalities are varied but they work together in a cohesive way to help each other and provide the best experience of the guests. It is interesting to see what goes on in the running of this type of establishment.
Friends Ann and Rhonda keep working to make The Beach House Hotel and find time for family and loved ones. Ann continues to worry about finances and struggles to make time to spend with movie star/soap opera boyfriend Vaughn Stewart when he comes to town. Both women worry about their college age boyfriends as they struggle to realize their daughters are growing up. Enter into the mix young movie star Tina Marks, who is in hiding at the hotel struggling to lose weight for an upcoming movie. Tina faces her own inner demons with the help of Ann. Meanwhile Rhonda struggles with health problems following her marriage to Will. Each character continues to develop their personalities.
Judith Keim writes with a certain comforting gentleness. The continuing story of the Beach House Hotel with Lunch at The Beach House Hotel is interesting, complex and yet told with a calmness even when the characters may get a bit hysterical, frightened or angry. That it is a bit repetitive can be overlooked, but do yourself a favor and read the series in order so you get the greater depth of the backstory than is revealed/reviewed in Lunch at The Beach House Hotel.
This is the second book of the Beach House Hotel series by Judith Keim that I've read. While this book was a big improvement over the first book in the series, it wasn't the best book ever written. The author only tried to maintain a few main storylines instead of jumping all over the place. The description was better but the characters were flat. Since the writing was better, I will read the next book in the series and will then decide if I want to continue reading this series. All I can say is that this book was okay.
In today's world, when people are just starting to date, protection from STDs are a smart thing. Failure to mention using them is a mistake. I'm no prude but it's just necessary! Please mention them, you may be being read by young people who only see the romance, not the possible ramifications of unprotected sex. Also, Veal, Ugh. What a gross thing to keep mentioning. Veal is produced by trapping a baby cow in a tiny pen so it cannot move during the entirety of its short life. Charming, huh?
More experiences to grow through with Ann and Rhonda!
Ann has to wrangle a celebrity who causes a bit of hectic-ness at The Beach House Hotel. There’s more drama with Robert and his new wife and kid. We learn about Rhonda’s pregnancy…. AND Angela’s! Angela brings home a new boy who shortly after becomes her husband but not without some drama and tension caused by his parents. Liz comes home to visit and falls for Troy, The Beach House Hotel masseuse.
We have so much more to uncover and unpack and I can’t wait to see what’s for dinner!

Lunch At The Beach House Hotel by Judith Keim is the second in the Beach House Hotel series was fantastic. Once I started reading it, I couldn’t put it down. The same delightful characters were there as well as wonderful some new ones and the storyline was heartwarming and such an enjoyable, easy read. Judith Keim is one of my favorite authors and she never disappoints her readers. I rated it a five.
Second installment in the Beach House Hotel series. Rhonda and Anne continue their partnership and come up with even more reasons to book at the Hotel in West Florida. New characters are added and the family drama continues. Looking forward to reading the next book and see where the story goes. It's a great summer read. I love the continuing characters of Vaughn, Will, Liz and Angela and look forward to seeing where things go.
Book two in the Beach House series. Rhonda and Ann are proving they can run an upscale small hotel and still deal with all the drama that it brings with it. I am glad there were no problems from Brock and I wish that Ann's ex did not act so cruel to her. Just my opinion but I am getting tired of Ann and Vaughn hopping into bed every five minutes and we have to keep reading about it.
It's not often you find a sequel that is better than the original but that's just what I found with Judith's book. "Lunch" delivered a sweet follow up to a fun read. I especially enjoyed the sensitive way she treated their troublesome guest Tina. Plots seemed much better thought out than the first.
Highly recommend this sequel and quickly moving on to read the next in the series!
So many things going on but easy to follow and hard to put down. Pregnancy, unruly guests, threats, marriage, wonderful characters and ongoing relationships. Although I read the prior books in the series a while ago, this book makes me wonder why I took so long in between. I plan to binge read the books that follow!
The Beach House Hotel was another heartwarming story. I truly looked forward to this book. Rhonda and Ann and their families are look friends to me. I greatly enjoyed this second book and hope you do too. Now it's on to the next one. ENJOY! Happy Reading!! MARY C
Book 2 in the series finds Ann and her female partner in the hotel business....the Beach House belonged to Rhonda and she talked Ann in to becoming her partner and together they turn this beautiful old home on the beach in to a hotel. Many surprises just keep happening and this book is full of them. Not a dull moment.
Got the first book in this series free through Bookbub, purchased the others. Thoroughly enjoyed all of the characters, their struggles and growth. Loved the author's style of writing, will definitely look for anything else she has written. Literally couldn't stop reading.
Fun series, after finishing breakfast, I had to jump into lunch, the character building continues, the location is great and I look forward to this on my bus rides commuting to work. It's like you are right there watching it!
I enjoy reading about the characters and how their lives are so similar to real life people . They have their share of problems but somehow seem to come out alright!
Great follow-up to the first book in the series. I really enjoy Keim's writing style, which is clean and simple, with some poetic descriptions here and there. The characters and themes are realistic for the most part, and I'm looking forward to reading what happens next in their lives.
Another great book , I'm so happy for finding this writer in my authors group I have enjoyed reading and I feel as I'm part of the whole Beach house hotel family. Can't wait to start the next book.
I’ve really enjoyed a break from the psychological thrillers, and once I met Rhonda and Anne I fell in love with them. There is nothing intense about this series and it’s exactly what I’ve enjoyed. Somewhat predictable yet thoroughly delightful
This is my first time reading this author's books but I'm so glad I have. Beach House was easy to read and it makes you want to go to a location just like the book. I truly enjoyed reading Lunch @ the Beach House also, love reading about love and happiness.
I like the basis of the story. Two smart and intelligent women who are successful hotel business. How they balance their personal and professional life. Its fun with some drama
Great storyline, well-written about real characters. Love the contrasts between main characters, Ann and Rhonda. It is are fun to follow life with them and their families. Just started the next one and oh boy, what a ride already. Owning a hotel is a never ending challenge for these 2 ladies.
