I can already tell that I'm going to love the Forks University Series as much as I did the DTF Series! This universe is super fun, hilarious, saucy, and not Sew Basic after all. Hailey and Dominic are goals! Can't wait for the next book in the series!

Sew Basic (Forks University Fashion Academy Book 1) reminds me of the Romeo and Juliet story with a true modern day twist. Hailey and Dominick brought out the beat of each other.”I had my head in the clouds, and you’ve brought me back down to earth.” This book had me on my toes wondering where it was going next. The history of Hailey and Dominick’s family feud was not what I expected. It is always a good read when the author is able to throw a wrench into your line of thinking. I can not wait for the rest of this series.

At first I really liked it, it read fast and was funny.
But then the drama came and it just fell flat. Don't get me wrong it was still good, only the drama was kind of weak? And then it ended and we still didn't get glimpses of how it goes further with Hailey and Jen is there still contact or nothing at all?
And for a mob moss it was also strange, not really the person but you would've never thought of that person.

This is a fantastic start for this new series from Kat Addams, and I am here for it! Hailey and Madison are the top tier of the Beta Alpha Delta (BAD) sorority and they know how to work what they have. Dominick is a member of the Delta Iota Kappa (DIK) fraternity and might I say, the chemistry between Hailey and Dominick is plenty freakin' hot? The story is all the more better because there's some tension between their families, and I couldn't wait to see how that would impact and shape their blossoming romance. The story is fresh with great banter and dialogue and I loved how the secondary characters helped bring a good balance to the story, and I can't wait for the next book!

Sew Basic is new series by this author that is based around Fork University (FU). Hayley and Dominic both come from family drama and their relationship is forbidden due to there families feud. The chemistry between these two is intense, hot and very steamy. Family feud secrets are revealed and will that have a negative impact on there relationship or will they be able to move forward and but there family drama behind them in order to have the relationship that they both deserve to have. This was a great book and can't wait for the next book in this series to come out.

Domenik and Hailey meet at Forks University during a prank and even after they realize who each other are, that they are mortal enemies due to a long-standing family feud, their attraction is still too hard to resist. As their relationship grows and their family obligations get in the way and secrets start to surface that threaten their relationship. Will their relationship be able to conquer all or will their family obligations pull them apart?
This story is a modern-day twist of Romeo and Juliet. Domenik and Hailey are hot and dangerous together. The attraction and chemistry between them is off the charts. There is classic Kat Addams humour and banter that we have come to know and love with a twist I did not see coming. Aunt Edna is amazing! I can not wait for the next book in this series.

This story was so good!!! I love all Kat Addams's books and this new series has everything I love about her writing and characters. Once I started reading I couldn't put my kindle down.
Sew Basic is a fresh new read, based around Fork University (FU), with young adult characters that have very unique personalities but are entertaining as hell.
Hayley and Dominic are the main characters of this story and let me tell you they are so good together but because of their family drama their relationship is forbidden, but chemistry and attraction is hard to fight so when they find themselves in the middle of all their family feuds secrets are going to be reveal that gives this story a twist I was not expecting at all.
Sew Basic isn't basic at all, in all contrary is AMAZING, loved the friendship between Hayley and Madison, the competition between the sorority houses, the oh so entertaining moments and aunt Edna.(that lady deserves a book on her own lol).
I can't wait for the next book in the series.

I am a sucker for a good star-crossed lovers story and this book definately delivers! It is filled with witty banter, some startling surprises and twists, and fiery bedroom scenes. There's even a Dirty Sanchez (no, not that kind!!)

I really loved the story of Hailey and Dominick! It was a witty and romantic story of two college kids who are attracted to each other despite it being frowned upon because of the obvious hatred between their two families. There are many secrets between the two families that will eventually explain everything. Like the guys in her other books, Kat made Dominick a very charming, sweet, and sexy, goofy goober. I love that she writes characters that are not cookie cutter perfect. Her stories also always have a lot of heart. I really love that these characters realize that maybe there is more to the world than the money that they were born into. This story just leaves you smiling!

Sew Basic is a crazy, fun, sassy and steamy star-crossed lovers story. It has drama drama drama along with fashion, socialites and super hot frat boys. It’s like your favorite reality tv show that you won’t admit to watching but in this case you will tell everyone about this book.
Sew Basic is a perfect light and fun read that you will just devour quickly. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

This was my first Kat Addams book, but it won’t be my last! This was a great story between Hailey and Dominic who are born enemies because of their family names. They only met once as children but when they meet again for the first time in college, sparks fly! Will they be able to overcome their family obligations that want to keep them apart? Or will they succumb to their own emotions and give each other a chance?
This book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone. However, I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

Having read the DTF series I was looking forward to reading about the students of Forks U (FU). Kat Addams infuses whit into her stories with her choices of school and sorority/fraternity names (FU; BAD, DIK), which made me chuckle. In this first in the series you have Hailey, fashion school student... her family is mortal enemies with the Morretti Family. Lo and behold, Dominick is a new student at FU - in the DIK fraternity. They "meet" without her knowing who he is. The chemistry is instant and undeniable, even when they both know it isn't possible to act on their feelings. There's drama for sure in this story and the lead up to a story for Madison and Preston. Looking forward to reading more in this series.

New Adult isn’t something I always gravitate toward going for the little older characters but I was pleasantly surprised with this story. It was nothing like I was expecting and everything I needed. There was mystery, a little angst and intense chemistry. It was super fun with witty humor and lots of sexiness. This was a quick read that had me entertained and flipping those pages as fast as I could. I absolutely loved everything about this book and can’t wait to read more from the students at Forks U.

First book in the Forks University Fashion Academy and Kat have done an amazing job. Dominick and Hailey were amazing together. The sparks were immediately and the chemistry was undeniable. A well written story with a unique style and humorous situations that had me craving for more. I highly recommend you this book.”

Book 1 in the new Forks University Fashion Academy series by Kat Addams. Loved Hailey and Dominick. Their families had a bit of bad blood between them so of course when they see each other at school, they try to stay away from each other. Too bad, cupid doesn’t play along. Will they give into the chemistry and attraction that is clearly between them or can they fight it? Will family secrets keep them apart? There is a little twist that you probably won’t see coming and I loved it. You will have to pick it up and dive in and let me just say you won’t be disappointed. Just love how Kat creates worlds and characters that can have you smiling one minute and then swooning the next. Love her work and I can’t wait to read Madison’s story.

Nothing tells two uni kids to fall in love like it be ultimately forbidden, especially by a lifelong family feud, so we could expect no5ing less than angsts passion, when these two meet, during s fraternity/sorority prank. What we couldn’t expect was just how bad these two got it and how hard it would be to face any decisions they would be forced to make.
The characters are absolutely brilliant! I loved getting to know them and the style of story they’ve been written into. Kat has created something fun, exciting and passionate, exactly what we all need in these times, to really bring a spark back into our lives.
I absolutely loved this book and the overall story. I cannot wait until the next book, in the series!

This is the 1st in a new series and this author has done an amazing job in penning this tale. Dominick and Hailey cross paths at university when he catches her at a prank for the competing sorority houses, and the sparks fly. These two are from two family’s who have an endless feud going on between them. With undeniable chemistry between them will their family’s drama put an end to any relationship between them? This is a well written story which is a modern day fairy-tale, and is unique, entertaining, and humorous, as well as having twists, secrets, mystery, and a tad angst, which all had me totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more in this series and I highly recommend this talented authors work for all.

What starts as an enemies-to-lovers story, later becomes a true romance with all the feels, the drama, the passion, but above all love. I really enjoyed reading about these two, their banter, sparks, they were dynamite together. This story was sweet and funny and sexy all at once. I couldn’t put this book down. This book was the perfect combination of sweet, passionate, romantic, and all the feels. Must read all day long. So If you haven’t read Sew Basic yet, you definitely want to put that on your TBR list! Happy reading everyone!!

They met by accident - she had no idea who he was but the attraction was instant.
Everyone and everything tried to keep them apart.

This is the first book by Kat Addams that I have read. While this one wasn't really for me, I did like her writing style. There were some parts I found funny, but others I kind of just rolled my eyes at.
The characters were just okay to me. I found both Hailey and Dominick a little, well, shallow.
I would say take a chance on this. I am in the minority with my opinion about this. And like I said, it wasn't the writing style, but the characters.

This was a free book that I got from a romance author’s newsletter, in which she features books from other authors, and it sounded fun so I decided to give it a try. I checked out reviews after I finished it and it seems like I read something completely different to everyone else because the lowest rating I found was 3 stars and I'm just confused?
Everything just happened so quickly in this book that it gave no time for the characters and plot to properly develop. There were some Romeo-Juliet forbidden enemies-to-lovers vibes that could’ve had potential but insta-love? One of my least favourite tropes. Unlikable, shallow & extremely privileged characters? No, thanks. The steamy was just okay but nothing special. I guess in the end this book was just not for me (and I mean absolutely no offence if you liked it and it seems the majority do)! 😂

Kat Addams did it again with her new series. I’ll be honest I’ve loved everyone of her series but this one holy hell. Hailey and Dominick's forbidden affair was off the charts! Two people from different families against each other expecting each other to be someone they're not. Like all her other books it had some hilarious parts but this one was hella lot more spicy. I highly recommend checking out what’s going on at FU and the house of the BAD girls.

I do hate not finishing a book but I hate wasting time even more, so I read the first six chapters and then skipped to chapter 13 and the epi. I don't think I missed much other than a lot of basic drama from a bunch of basic teenagers--another thing I hate, characters that are one dimensional. In my humble opinion, this story would have been better as a short story or maybe novella.

A quick read
This was a quick, easy read. I have enjoyed several works by this author, and this sounded cute.
I quickly realized it wasn't what I thought it would be. There were parts I enjoyed, and parts that didn't work for me. Dominic and Hailey have family drama that impacts their lives. I wasn't expecting their HEA to be what it was.

If you want a book that will have you laughing out loud and leave you giggling and smiling like a Cheshire Cat then this is the book for you.

Normally I'm a fan of the books I've read by Kat Addams unfortunately this book wasn't for me.
