First book in the Order of Maget Trilogy The Order is dark, and wishes to dominate all things magic. Each book in the trilogy follows three leaders of the Order. In book one, follow how they were created with Richard, personally chosen for this task by Kinsley, the darkest wizard of them all. It continues with Orrin, who spreads the dark word of the Order, and ends with Freida, the only female to ever lead the Order.
Purveyor of the imaginary and strange. Creator of the World of Melarandra series, and plan to exist here for quite some time. I live in Thunder Bay, ON Canada. It is the heart of the world, in my eyes. Lake to one side, little mountain range on another, Canadian Shield all around, and forest as far as the eye can see. Married with children. I love sitting around a fire with friends. Most of my inspirations come from the world around me. Currently working on the Order of Maget trilogy, book 2. This is becoming an experience!
This was a fun book to read. It is very different from the other books from the World of Melaranda. This book follows the first three leaders of the Order of Maget. It is a much darker look into this world and I LOVE it! Kinsley is a seriously dark wizard and the risks he takes to ensure his own survival are fascinating. The formation of the Order is interesting to look at as well. The machevallian way Richard works the king is such a fun thing to see. I know it's twisted but still it's fun to see this happen and how both the kings Richard works with fall for his manipulations. I'm looking forward to seeing the next installment. I do wonder if the series will bring us right up to the time in Melaranda where we first meet the Twins in Children of the Sun and Moon. I hope so!
