Amy’s parents died when she was young leaving her with a little brother who is autistic. She has spent her entire life looking about the little brother and figured she would never marry. Along comes Adam who at first is not too sure about Jonah but soon starts to love Jonah as Amy does. Even though Adam was sent to marry Amy’s best friend it works out where Amy and Adam fall in laugh.

Amy has the burden and the joy of helping her brother Jonah. She also had a need to do certain things, was others like that. A powerful, personal story of a sister, at fifteen, to have sole responsibility for a special need brother. As always, her books bring out, an issue that people might not be aware of, and a beautiful story has been written.

Loved this story in the Amish Misfits series. In My Brother’s Keeper, we are introduced to the condition of autism. Many of us have never known an autistic child. Samantha allowed us to see Jonah through the eyes of his sister Amy and her new friend Adam. Amy has been left with the responsibility of raising her brother . Adam comes into the community and become close to Amy and Jonah. When Amy becomes aware that Adam has been encouraged to come to the community to marry one of her best friends she is determined not to be in the way but Adam is determined only to marry for love. Adam goes out of his way to be friends to Amy and Jonah. First he buys Janne a dog which I am he feels only brings her more work but I after seeing how Jonah response to the dog she decides it’s good thing. Will there be any hope for Adam and Amy and Jonah? Read this wonderful story by our favorite author Samantha Price and find out. You will not be disappointed. Again Samantha has given us a wonderful look at real life though the eyes of the Amish. Thanks Samantha for sharing with us.

This book is a poignant tale of two love stories; one of a young woman who, when her parents died, was thrust into the role of mother, father, breadwinner, housekeeper, caregiver to her autistic brother. As hard as these jobs are, Amy never loses patience with her brother, Jonah, and never allows anyone to be rude or mean to him.

Because her brother cannot be left alone, Amy doesn’t get to join in the normal activities that the youth in her community get to enjoy. So there is no opportunity to meet a perspective husband.

When a stranger from another community moves next door, things seem to change for the better….until the real reason he is visiting becomes known.

Another well written novel by Samantha Price! Enjoyable from beginning to end!

The next story in the collection is My Brother’s Keeper. After Amy’s parents died, she was the sole caretaker of her brother Jonah, who has special needs. She works from home as a seamstress, trying to make enough money for the two of them while taking care of Jonah, which is a full-time job in itself!

She is so busy working and caring for Jonah, she doesn’t have time for a social life. The last thing that she needs in her life is Adam, another one who is visiting the bishop who lives next door. He comes over and starts spending time with the two of them. Though they get off on the wrong foot, Amy starts to wonder if he might be the right person for her (or if there is anyone who would care enough for her to take on her brother). However, when the real reason for his visit is made clear, she doesn’t know what to think.

This book is such an exceptional read. It shows how family is important and how a sister steps up to take care of her brother after tgeir parents pass away. She has a very trying task taking care of her brother because he has autism. Samantha has done a wonderful job on this book, explaining autism and speaking of spectrum levels. Just an amazing read. People sometimes forget that the Amish are just like everyone else and go through the same health struggles, as well as other life struggles, as we all do!!

A pretty good story in the series, although this has been my least favorite of the 4 series I’ve read by this author.

One note: I’m kind of surprised that the author is using the same names for characters over and over within the same series. The name Adam, for example, has been used two or three times so far. Some of the last names have been used several times too. This book had a good plot going for it, although I found parts of it to be a little slow. But still a pretty decent book. I’ll be finishing it up via Kindle Unlimited.

Amy is raising her autistic brother since their parents died.. She meets Adam when he comes to the bishops house to stay. He is there to meet Sarah who their parents want to marry.. Sarah has met someone else while visiting her aunt. Adam is becoming friends with Amy and Jonah. Good characters good storyline

This story was very good. Amy and Jonah's parents passed away when they were young. Amy became the caretaker and bigger sister to care for her autism brother. Amy had a hard life in doing so,as she worked from home being a seamstress. She had to do so much too take care of all she had to do.Then she meant Adam and the story even gets more wonderful to read. I recommend this book highly.

I’m smitten!

This was a wonderful story in that Autism was one of the key ingredients and unfortunately showed how people in a conservative community like the Amish can have insensitive people that should know better. Good love story too from start to finish

This book had alot of good information about autism. It was very detailed and I was pleased with the facts. There were many good things and characters in this book. I enjoyed this book from start to finish.

I loved this book. Very well written by Samantha Price. I loved to meet the characters in this book. you will not want to put it down once you start. Amy has been left to raise her little brother who has autism. Now all her friends are getting married around her sets her mind to thinking who would want to marry her she has to care for her brother. Then Adam pops up. Why is he here and seems so secretive about why he is there. She can't wait to tell her best friend about him. Till Sarah tells what her parents have done. Will Amy find love or is her life just to care for her brother? This is a series Amish Misfits and this one is number 7. I need to go check out the rest of the series. Samantha Price writes very clean and inspirational romance books.

My Brother's Keeper is such a wonderful book to read and to learn about a sister taking care of her younger brother who has autism. Amy, the sister, has fell into role of caretaker of her younger brother, Jonah, after their parents both die.
Amy has a very tough job raising her brother by herself, but she does an excellent job. She sews to bring in income for them. Amy wonders if she will ever find love to have a family of her own, along with her brother. Then one day, a stranger approaches her door. From that moment things become so interesting and exciting for Amy.
If you like a great, clean read. Then you want to read this book. It is an amazing book that shows love and compassion in ways people don't realize that can be shown!!

My Brother’s Keeper
Jonah has autism and Samantha brought in a lot to the story of some of the things to expect from a child that has autism. I did not know too much about it, but in the end what we should get out of the story, is that you have to know how to deal with his autism, and remember to follow his signs and the right way to handle them. Amy has been dealing with his autism and now Adam has brought new ways to deal with it by doing his own research.

I loved this book! Having raised someone with Autism, I really related to this story. I have lived this story! It was very authentic, and on top of being an amazing love story, it is a bit educational as well.
