Not too bad for a girl from rural Ohio in the foothills of Appalachia that grew up in a town of about 4000 people.
“What do you want to talk about, Ranger?” I raised my eyebrow. She blushed, “Sorry, Chase.” I’d asked her weeks ago to call me by my given name when it was just us. I scooted closer to her on the couch. “I want to talk about us, Bri. We’ve known each other now for four months. I’ve made no secret of my desire to get to know you better. I’ve asked you repeatedly to just agree to going out on a date with me, but you always say no. I need to know why. I know you feel something for me just like I do for you. You seem to be scared, but you have to know, I’d never hurt you. Why, Bri?” I ground out. I’d gotten more upset as I spoke. I wasn’t really angry with her; I was angry with the situation. She was frowning and shaking her head. “Chase, I can’t. I’m sorry this is hurting you. Believe me, if I could, I would. I won’t deny I feel something, but it can’t ever be more than that. Can’t we just be friends?” she pleaded. I jumped up and started to pace. “That’s a cop-out. You say you can’t. I say, you’re a coward. If you feel something for me, why wouldn’t you go out with me so we can see where it goes? I know we would be really good together. I care about Rowan. I’d protect both of you. Hell, I already do. What the fuck happened with Cochran that made you like this?” She looks like she was going to cry. A part of me wanted to stop but the other part was too tired and wanted answers. I hadn’t touched another woman since I saw her. She was all I thought about and all I wanted. I needed to know why. I reached over and grabbed her shoulders. I gave her a gentle shake. “Fucking tell me! What happened? Why can’t we be together?” I ground out. She cringed and pulled away, then stood up. She moved to the other side of the room. Shit! I’d scared her. I didn’t want her to be scared of me. She was shaking her head. “We just can’t, Chase. I’m sorry. Please, don’t be like this. I don’t want to lose you,” she sobbed. I ran my hands through my hair. “I can’t keep doing this, Bri. Being friends isn’t enough. If we tried and it failed, then that would be one thing, but you won’t even try. You need to decide if you want me in your life or not. If you do, then you have to go out with me.” She was still crying but looking obstinate. “Fine. I see you’ve made up your mind. I need to get out of here. See you around,” I ground out. I headed for the door. I was tired. I needed to get away and think. She begged me not to go, but I opened the door and stormed out to my bike. I took off and made myself not look back. I headed to the compound to get a drink. It was semi-busy when I got there. I sat at the bar and ordered a whiskey from Finn. From there, I started to pound the shots. I typically didn’t drink like this but felt the need to get drunk tonight. I needed to numb myself to the feelings I had for Brielle. She obviously wasn’t going to return them, and I didn’t know what to do. As the next two hours passed, I continued to slam down shot after shot. I was feeling the haze taking over. Several guys tried to talk to me, however I waved them away. I was downing another shot when Marnie slithered up to me at the bar. She was eyeing me with lust in her eyes. I looked at her through bleary eyes. “What do you want Marnie?” I asked. She smiled and slipped her arms around my neck. “I want to make you feel better, Ranger. Why don’t you let me see if I can do that?” she purred. I knew somewhere in my mind; she wasn’t what I wanted. But I also wanted to see if I could forget Brielle. I needed to find a way to forget her. So, I grabbed her ass and pulled her to me and captured her mouth. She was kissing me back passionately. I was kissing her back and rubbing against her, but even as drunk as I was, I knew she wasn’t doing anything for me. I still wanted only Brielle. I was about to break away and tell her to get lost when I heard a pained cry. Jerking my head away from Marnie, I saw Bri standing there. She had such a look of hurt on her face. I felt like someone had punched me in the gut. Tears started to run down her face, and I shoved Marnie away and tried to stand. “B-Bri it isn’t what it looks like,” I stammered. She shook her head backing up toward the door. “F**k you, Ranger. It’s exactly what it looks like. I guess the waiting for me is over. Or maybe you never waited at all. You’ve probably been f**king her, and God knows who else the whole time you’ve been trying to get me to give you a chance. I came here to tell you I was willing to try even though it scares me to death. Well, there’s no way in hell I will now. Enjoy your whores,” she yelled and ran out the door. I tried to stand and follow her, but stumbled into the bar. The room was spinning. Savage and Hawk grabbed me to steady me.
See how Ranger's moment of weakness almost costs him everything.
Book's Blurb: Ranger: He’s the Dublin Falls Archangel’s Warriors MC’s sergeant at arms. He needs a change in his life. That change came through his club’s doors in the shape of a tiny woman. He fell hook, line, and sinker. He wants her and her daughter, his own family. But first, he has to overcome her terrible past.
Brielle: She’s only wanting to support herself and her daughter. Her dark, secret pain means men are a no go. She’s been scarred and in hiding. Her connection to the MC brings her more than she bargained for. She’s attracted to Ranger, but not going to pursue it. Even if he makes her feel safe.
What happens when she’s left for dead? Her past has come to take her and her daughter. Will Ranger save his Enchantress and her daughter and get his HEA?
Ranger has been seeing his friends find the loves of their lives and he realizes his time will come at some point. When he sees Brielle enter the clubhouse he realizes that time has arrived, hearing she is in trouble Ranger does everything he can to protect her and her daughter Rowan. Ranger wants Brielle but he realizes there is more to this woman then he suspects. When her past begins to look like it is not going away, Ranger desperately tries to keep her safe, but can he?
This was excellent, it was heart breaking at points so have your tissue handy. Brielle is an inspiring character her strength blew me away. I liked the fact that Ranger is not flawless, I think it elevated the story. Another exceptional read.
I honestly think this is the best book in this series so far. Briella is such a sweet person and her beautiful little girl just melts your heart. Ranger sees her and knows she has to be his! The chemistry between these two is off the charts. Rangers love for Rowan is so sweet. The way he protects them from Briella's past is the best! I loved everything about this book. It has so much to offer!
The characters were well developed, and you can see them develop as the story progresses. Little Rowan was adorable. Lots of good dialog and interesting twists and turns in the storyline.
Heart melting goodness with righteous MC justice Ranger’s Enchantress: An Archangels Warrior’s MC Novel (Dublin Falls Archangels Warriors Book 5) by Ciara St. James is a very well written MC romance novel. This novel spoke to me in so many ways! If I could give a higher rating than 5 stars, this one would. Ranger, Brielle and Rowan stole my heart and ran away with it from the beginning, through every trial and triumph. Ranger is fiercely protective and a total goner for Brielle and Rowan. For all she has endured, Brielle is just as fiercely brave and takes a chance on love. The plot of this book is as deeply disturbing as it is such a terrible reality and one that does not get nearly enough attention to help with prevention. Don’t let that deter you! This author handles the subject matter with justified disgust, anger and determination to shed light on this current concern while giving victims a voice through Brielle. Overall, a wonderful MC romance read featuring a bad boy biker with the biggest heart and the loves of his life in Brielle and little Rowan. This one is sure to pull the heartstrings, incite a need for justice and action while keeping you on the edge of your seat with suspense and danger. Of course, Ranger and Brielle get their HEA as well as a promise to the reader that there is another MC bad boy biker (or two!) getting ready to fall. Can’t wait to return to Dublin Falls for more drama, love and suspense! I read an ARC of this book and voluntarily share my review.
OMG !!! I loved it. Even though there was a lot of danger the guys came off as awesome. Now why can't I find one like them? lol. The characters are all very well developed and written. Even with all the names(can't remember mine some days) I was able to keep up and remember who was who and from which club. This storyline is a very hard topic for most people especially if you know of someone who has been through it, but I loved how it was handled and explained. It was a very emotional story for the ladies but even more so for the guys. After reading this book I feel like I really know them and I can't wait for the next book!! Rowan sounded adorable! A must read!! I can't recommend this title enough ! Read it !!

This one was tough to read at times. Brielle had been through the wringer and it wasn't over as an ex found her and started to torment her again, but this time her daughter was at risk too. I liked that Ranger was smitten with Brielle and let her know right away. That from the start he didn't see Rowan as a bad thing, but just more to love. And how great was it to see Rowan win over all the bikers she came in contact with, they all loved her and didn't mind playing with her.
As things really started to get drama filled I was surprised that no one gave a thought to who was behind things besides Brielle's ex. You could easily see he had some help and who it was. In the end the guys were able to take care of business, get rid of a lot of bad guys and save some people.
This very well-written book 7 in the Dublin Falls Archangel's Warriors MC Series is a intriguing MC story that has great characters. The characters are believably well-crafted and they react in a realistic fashion. There is drama, tension, danger, and romance. This story has action, adventure, twists/turns, chemistry and love with a HEA that must be worked for. These characters have interesting personalities that are brought alive by this Author. Must read

This story will keep you guessing in all ways possible. What a great read when the reader sits back gasps awws woes and wows all in the same chapter - even in the same sentence during some scenes. Ranger and Breille are a power house of a couple throw in the amazing little Rowan and you have a story you simply can not put down. Grab a warm blanket and something to drink this books grabs a holds with force. A must read
I absolutely could not put this book down. One of my favorite aspects to it was the timeline. Yes there were extenuating circumstances, but I loved how it didn’t feel rushed but was quick moving. The relationship between Ranger and Brielle is off the charts. How and heavy, sweet and aww worthy. I loved the way they work together to fight for what they wanted and ultimately needed. And Rowan! I freaking adore her sweet, smart, adorable self and I’m looking forward to seeing her in the future!
This book will have you hooked from start to end. This is a story filled with twist and turns. Ranger is the clubs SAA, from first sight he falls for his one and only like his brothers. Braille just wants to move past what she had been dealt with, wants to raise her gifted daughter in safety. When her daughters father returns secrets she had hoped to keep hidden com forth. Ranger along with his brothers will always protect one of their own and their town.
Oh my gosh this story is so freakin heartbreaking! It's also a fast paced, sexy read. Ranger is knocked on his butt the first time he sees Brielle and instantly he knows she's his one. Brielle, having been through h*ll is leery of Ranger and not too sure what to make of him. These two have such a rollercoaster of a ride to get to their happily ever after it's unreal. Brielle is as fierce and fiery as a woman can get and with an entire club behind her there's no stopping her. This story has all the feels and everything else you can imagine. It's truly a heartbreakingly beautiful story.
Ranger and Brielle’s story was excellent - and a bit heart wrenching. Ciara took on a real life, gritty and horrible topic with this story and she did it justice while getting the kind of justice that we would most like to see if we could. I love Brielle! And I love Ranger for being the man he is.
I am enjoying this series of books so much. Strong sassy female leads and Badass sweet Alpha men. It was a fast pace story that pulls you heartstrings too. So good
This story brings to light the struggles of being a single parent and mother, and the man who will do anything for her and her daughter. They face the struggle of her not wanting to be involved with anyone, and one of him wanting to protect both of them. When she is targeted by sex traffickers, then the whole MC steps up to protect her and her daughter from the man who raped her and left her pregnant. They come together and form a strong and tight family bond that no-one can break.
This one will pull at your heartstrings. Brielle and her daughter Rowen think they are somewhat safe but they found out that they need Ranger and the club’s help after all. I loved Rowan’s cuteness and Brielle bravery in trying to keep her daughter safe. This story has some scary but unfortunately true circumstances that happen all the time. Very well written and handled correctly.
Ranger's Enchantress is book five in the Archangel's Warriors series and this is Ranger and Brielle's book. Once again, Ciara St James has blown me away with her strong heroes and equally as strong Heroines. This book is action packed, steamy and I loved every second of it. I'm excited to read more.
LOVED LOVED LOVED this book! Ranger is my favorite one...so far! Ranger falls head over heals when Brielle walks in. Brielle has her own secrets that make it hard for her to trust. This book was action packed and left me breathless at times. This story is one of heartache, danger, love, laughter...hell every emotion you could feel is possible while reading this book. This book does take you down a dark path, however Ciara writes it in such a way that you get lost in the moment and can't stop, you will HAVE to know what happens.
Ciara has always been a one click author for me, and this book solidifies it. If possible I would give it 50000000000 stars, I LOVED it that much
Ranger and Bri book. She's has had a rough life and has a small child but she's a winner. And Ranger will have to protect and love her when trouble comes calling.
Ranger and Brielle's story was a solid entry in the Archangel's Warriors MC. Brielle is a single mom whose past has finally caught up with her and her three year old daughter. Ranger never thought he wanted to be with just one woman until he saw all his brothers finding happiness. When he meets Brielle, he knows she is the one for him. The club vows to help her out even though she isn't sure she should accept. She is very skittish and turns him down every time he asks her out. He is patient and tries to move at her speed but she is very tightlipped about her past. He moves too fast and it quickly bites him in the butt. I really loved that everyone acts like an adult, even when they make mistakes. I really appreciate that. It makes the characters feel more real and relatable, even if I don't agree with everything they do. I felt like they were really forming a true partnership. I do think there was a little too much description of the inter-workings of the investigation that unfolds in this one. It slowed down the narrative a bit a couple of times but it did lend more realism to the situation. Overall, I am still enjoying the series quite a bit. I confess, I jumped from book two to book 5 when the opportunity arose. Now to circle back and pick up book 3.
Brielle is hired to clean the old lady’s houses at the compound. When Brielle’s past comes back she needs to find a new daycare for her daughter Rowan and file a restraining order. She tells Terror the president and he tells her they will protect her. Then Ranger steps in with his protective nature and helps Brielle. Of course he has known she was his “one”. Lots of ups and downs to get to their HEA.
The dedication at the beginning of the novel was thoughtfully done & I love when authors take on real world issues to try to shine a light on those in need.
Ranger knew there was something special about Brielle from the first moment he saw her. When the club finds out Brielle and her daughter are in danger, Ranger with his club brothers will do whatever it takes to keep them safe. Ranger gives Brielle time due to her past trauma, and their relationship develops slowly as he shows her how much he cares for her and her daughter. Brielle tries to push Ranger away to keep him safe but he won’t back down as he knows Brielle is the only woman for him. With their family expanding and their wedding approaching tension is high as the danger keeps plaguing Brielle, the club will have to work overtime with their other MC chapters to try to take down the network that is out to get Brielle and her daughter. When the traffickers get their hands on Brielle, Ranger & his brothers will have to work fast to save her and the others.
I received an ARC of this book via Book Sprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was full of excitement, danger, suspense, and some amazing sexy scenes. I love that Brielle is a single mom as I have been on a single mom romance kick lately. There are some triggers I think here but it's done so well it didn't affect me. It makes the story so much better. I couldn't put this down.
Slight ow drama, no actual cheating but a kiss, overall I really enjoyed the story, what drama there was was right at the beginning and over very quickly. The sex was extreme, often and hot. Very dark subject and I’d heed trigger warnings, none on page but it’s happened in the past and talked about.
I have all the books in this series and even Ghost's book. At least this book didn't have 50% of the book of all sex maybe 40% lol. This author does to many page fillers. I don't care about details description on what they ate everytime, boring. If I wanted a cook book I would get one. The sex is just to much. Everytime its like over 20 pages long and there is always in everytime to many sex scenes. It just got to a point I skip to the next chapter. And pray the next chapter doesn't have another scene. It's always the same in every book, he sees the girl, knows she the one they either get pregnant or married then get pregnant. I also hate that every chapter it says 3 days later or the next day or 2 weeks have gone by. Also in 2 books I think, a bunny "sloppy seconds girl" slapped a old lady and nothing gets done but a warning, wtf! Also I hate all the instructions on couples in every book about say so and so is with this person or a baby is born and the author goes on about all the couples on who had what baby with who. Hopefully people read the books in order and this doesn't have to be brought up again in every book. Why does every female have to have abuse in every book? I found the end stupid and hilarious. I live in the Carolinas and in July at the lake in woods were talking feeding the skitters. Last year the mosquitoes were so bad I ran to my car, through my purse in, slammed the door and had at least 50 skitters in my car. So having sex there in the book, talk about bug bites lol. I will say this author does great drama that I have to skip the fillers to get to. That alone keeps me reading the next book but I'm finding it hard now too because lately its the same in every book. Get the bad guy at the end. String him up and question him for hours then kill him. Its getting boring there but the drama to get to that is good. Less fillers and less repeats and more drama Ms. St James.
Brielle is a cleaner for the Warriors houses. When Ranger sees her he’s instantly smitten. When they meet her three year old daughter Rowan, he falls in love with her too. When they realise that Brielle has been having problems with Rowan’s father, they take turns to protect her. Ranger is trying to convince Brielle to go out on a date with him, but she won’t, and she won’t tell him why. When she turns him down again, he believes that she’s not interested in him, goes to the club and kisses a bunny. Brielle sees him, runs off and is attacked at home as Ranger was supposed to be protecting her. When he learns what happened he’s devastated as he blames himself. Yes he shouldn’t have kissed a bunny, but Brielle should have told him why she was scared of going out with him. If it wasn’t for the mistake in the plot, (See below) I would have given this book more than three stars. It’s definitely one of the best of the series.
After the attack Ranger and Brielle get closer, and gradually start to fall in love. Ranger is amazing. I love how he is with both Brielle and Rowan. He’s so caring and sweet with them both. The whole club loves Rowan, and it’s so sweet how all the big burly Mc men sit playing with dolls with her. ❤️❤️❤️ The sex is hot in this book. I did really enjoy it but there were mistakes in it, that did spoil it.
***********SPOILER ALERT******************** This is where the plot goes wrong. Brielle was raped by Jake (Rowan’s father) as she was being trained to be sold as a sex slave. Later in the book the club finds out that Brielle is listed for sale. So why did Jake order the attack on her, and she was supposed to be killed???? He can’t sell a dead body. So it doesn’t make any sense!!! I also don’t believe that they would want a sex slave who wasn’t a virgin and had a baby!! They would want her to be pure. 🤮
