Pippa is a daring, self-made success at National Geographic. At 42, she wants final closure with her wealthy, but estranged father residing in Scotland. Unfortunately, she hasn’t outgrown her rebellious streak, and it lands her in trouble with the local Kilt Brigade. Compared to gorillas and poachers, facing down a few Scots doesn’t scare her. Except for that one…
Giver has a life of crime to make amends for, which means he has no time for women, especially one as troublesome as Pippa. Since it is partly his fault she’s in trouble, he should protect her from his own, but those pesky vows get in the way—those vows that are designed to save his soul. Someone is going to be thrown under the bus. Buy your copy of GIVER today and find out who.
Giver wasn't always a giver. He was once a taker in his mortal life. And he spent centuries regretting it. Now that he's got a second chance will he take it and forgive himself or continue to punish himself? Ha well we all know if we've read any of this series. But who cares. I love this sweet clean fun series even if they're predictable. Just enjoy.
I really enjoyed this book. The tone of the series has changed since the reckoning and the character of giver,Is emblematic of this change.I thought the story of more mature love not the rush of young love, rather than running from something walking to someone is very important. What was also delight with seen Simon stepping up taking charge when Wickham wasn't there. I adore the series I think it has such a flow and to see how each of the 79Evolve move on or not is really important especially in this day in age. So I think L.L.Muir In her clan of awesome riders who are endeavoring to finish the 79
Giver, number 54, consumed by guilt about the reasons he was at Culloden, is determined to never get involved with a woman, but his new life certainly gets complicated once he meets Pippa. Pippa’s estranged father has called his journalist daughter to Scotland to investigate a story for one of his foundations that involves men in kilts. Ms. Muir has created a wonderful addition to the series that, of course, have the magical Muirs involved in surprising ways. Most highly recommend.
This was another winner. .y favorite series. I have read everyone of them. Loved everyone of them. The different authors have been great. My favorite is L. Muir. I have read all her books. She writes my kind of books. Love stories. This series I greatly recommend to everyone who loves a good love story + ghosts and Scotland. You cannot go wrong with this Author. Diana Romano
I have been holding off on a review until I read them all but after Giver I couldn't hold back anymore! WOW! Yeah that's the one word that comes to mind! Thank you so much for sharing them with us. I plan on reading Wickam's story and probably anything else you have published. Thank you for clean romance. I'm not in my 20s,30s,40s anymore and don't find sex scenes appealing. Though I have dreamed of a couple of your characters!
Another great addition to this series. The book tells of forgiveness. Forgiveness of self and forgiveness of others. It is a gentle love story , with various hiccups, that held my attention from the start to the finish... I love following this series and the exploits of the Culloden ghosts.
The latest in the "Ghosts of Culloden Moor" series shows a deep side of this new "afterlife". Giver is not quite sure of what he would be, with his past as a thief haunting him. Pippa appears and suddenly the world as he knew it is topsy turvy. Along with the continuing thread of finding love, forgiveness is truly important within the story. ❤❤❤❤❤
All these tales from Culleden Moor are extremely entertaining and even educational at times. The problems Pippa has with the feelings of rejection from her father and Giver has with his guilty conscience make for a tangled story of finding forgiveness and love.
I have enjoyed all of the tales in this series and this one is right in there with them. I am also pleasantly surprised at the talents displayed in the effort required to cover all 79 of our Highland Ghosties without running out of fun, fresh ideas for their tales! Yay for the readers of long well told tales.
L.L. Muir, is truly a very talented Author, she knows how to awaken your imagination and allow you to forget about the outside world and beyond for a moment and remember the true magic of Love,. Thank You so much for sharing your talents with us
I so enjoyed this story of Pippa and Giver. Well written, enchanting and it made me smile so much.
L.L. Muir has such a wonderful way of telling a story, keeping you turning the pages, cheering on the characters and keeping you guessing how the story will end. Through in the Muir's and it is a true delight!
The Giver, L.L.Muir just keeps giving. After the heart wrenching revaluations in “The Reckoning “, it amazes me that Lesli would continue to tell her highlanders stories. Her stories are always full of magic in more than the wand and mirror ways. There are only a few of the 79 left, I look forward to each one. Treat yourself to this series.
This story took my breath away. I loved Pippa and Giver. They were a great couple even when they were in denial. All the other parts of the story and the cast of characters made this one of my favorite stories in the series. I wasn't sure how I would like the change after The Reckoning but so far it's been amazing.
Loved the twist of the girl going to the highlander instead of the other way around! The story was wonderful and left me with a happiness in my heart. Completely carried away. If only there were 179 ghosts!
Such an interesting name! Yet another heartwarming, fun read - perfect for reading during the pandemic .... these wonderful Ghosties always give you a warm fuzzy feeling in this crazy world!
I love the magic, Scotland, the way Pippa and her father finally rebuild their relationship, and our distinguished older highlander. The chemistry between Giver and Pippa was great.
The only thing I would change was a smattering of curse words.
There are a lot of good characters in this one, including Pippa, Giver and several old and new friends. I highly recommend this story and the entire series.
I also highly recommend The Curse of the Clan Ross series which includes a book devoted to Wickham’s story. It explains so much.
I thoroughly enjoy you efforts. So much so I read it straight through missing my annual homeowners meeting and I'm the secretary! Thank you once again for day well spent with you and your amazing imagination.
I love this series of books. I love the romance, magic, and humor. Sorry to have finished all that is available right now, I’ll have to wait for the others one at a time, but I’m hooked, so I’ll definitely read them.
I had stopped reading this series because I hated saying good bye to the characters. They make you keep coming back you have to know what happens to the rest of them so start at book one and enjoy they are a fun read
This is the one I waited for. I love the ladies but I am senior citizen and was delighted to find an older Highlander. Love this book, grey beard and all.
Giver is now one of my favorites in the series. The depth in relationship tension keeps the plot moving but not in an over burdening way because it's woven with humor, second chances, romance and Highland magic. I didn't want the book to end. Kindly request a sequel.
How can they find love when neither wants marriage
This was a beautiful story. You’ll find yourself truly hoping that giver and Pippa fall in love. It seems neither of them want to get married, yet they are drawn together. Can Pippa and her estranged father make amends?
I love the whole series. Giver and Pippa's romance was especially refreshing as they were over 40. I am really enjoying the stories that occur after The Reckoning. There's more dramatic developments in the overall story instead of just focusing on the romance.
I loved reading about this couple. Both had to learn about forgiveness in different ways. Such a heartwarming story! I loved this line, "Nothing to worry over," he said softly. "Close yer eyes and listen to the rain kissing my country.". So sweet
Another lovely story about The 79. I’m not giving anything away when all the stories end with the guy gets the girl, but the story telling is worth the read. Thanks!
I love all of the l l Muir books about the "79"! She brings Scotland to life with her writing and makes me want to go back. Her dialog is witty and I can almost hear the characters speaking themselves. I can't wait for the next one!
