I think anyone that reads this author knows what they’re getting into because they’re pretty much the same. The drama is HIGH (like telenovela level) the H’s are hung cavemen, the h’s are weak, the OW are crazy, the sex is unrealistic and fluctuates between cringey and ridiculous… and the writing/editing is not good… at all.
Personally, I read her books when I’m looking for easy entertainment… it’s like watching Bravo. In a nutshell, this is trashy smut, and my rating is way looser than with other genres.
The book opens with Eric and Justine already married and raising their two teenagers together. (FYI- Tyler & Lora’s book is Forbidden Desire) Both are divorced, and both exes generate some drama. (H’s ex-wife and h’s ex-hubby’s new wife)
Bottom Line- Standard J.S., it’s not great… but is free on KU and short which is key for my enjoyment. I need small doses.

Eric became a single dad when his son was seven, and continued earning his own way and never questioned his dedication to his son and his work. Now he is rich beyond words and has found a woman who he knows he can trust to be by his side and love him as he is. He has found that in Justine who is a single mom to a teenage daughter. What he doesn't need is an ex who has decided she is interested in hi and his son again or Justine's ex making trouble. Eric decides to put an end to the trouble makers while he focuses on keeping his family together.
I thoroughly enjoyed this one. I enjoyed Eric and his no nonsense ways. He is definitely the man of the house and I loved the secondary storyline that happens in the book. Another terrific read from this author.

This is the second in this short series and it’s about Eric and Justine, who both have exes and one child each. The ex wife is a complete and total witch and she’s decided that since her ex is now wealthier than the guy she left him for, she thinks she can get him back. Which of course won’t happen.
The ex husband is married to another witch that she’s become friends with the ex wife. They are both bent on causing lots of trouble. Some of which includes an actual beating of Justine. Fortunately Eric and his son Tyler have eyes and ears on the situation, and they plan on taking care of the exes…
Nice read, needs slightly more plot than all of the physical stuff going on. Well over half is just that, and frankly it’s not that much fun reading it.

I really enjoy these stories from Silver. This one was spicy from start to finish. The story itself was interesting. Not sure why we have a Justine, Janine and Janelle, but besides that I really did enjoy the dynamics of everyone in this story. I wish we had gotten more of Lora but I know that Tyler and Lora have their own book … as taboo as that may be. Which I had planned to avoid but now this has me intrigued.

if you want a good laugh!
This story had me laughing so hard. The POV of the characters were on point. Of course this is a Jordan Silver book so you know there’s HEA and punishments on the villains (within the law). Too bad Lora’s dad didn’t try to talk to his daughter but ,aube it’s for the best.
