When you’re always handed everything that you’ve ever wanted, you don’t know any different.Until you do.GraceGrace Hale had it all and that wasn’t an exaggeration. At the top of the food chain at Blackstone Prep Academy, Grace’s life was as perfect as you’d suspect it to be. She was beautiful, smart, popular, and her parents were the wealthiest in town. However, along with all those redeeming qualities, she was also snobby, judgmental, condescending, and all around horrible to the people deemed beneath her. When a moral tragedy strikes, Grace finds herself questioning everything she’s ever believed. The horror of just what an awful person she is really hits her, and it hits her hard. Tangling with a lot of regret and shame, Grace decides she no longer wants to be that person, but forgiveness comes hard and at a steep, steep price. Even though Grace would like forgiveness, not everyone is in a forgiving mood.StyxStyx Reinhart knew hard work and he thrived on it. As one of the not wealthy students busting his ass to attend Blackstone Prep Academy, Styx’s life was all about graduating and his future. He was good-looking, honest, musically gifted, and had an off-the-charts IQ. However, along with all those redeeming qualities, Styx was also jaded, closed-off, private, and ignored almost all the students at BPA.When the biggest mistake of his life approaches him after two years, Styx’s buried anger rises to the surface in a wave of disgust. With only one year left to go at Blackstone, the last thing he needs are distractions. He’s worked too hard to get to where he is, and he’s not about to let anything derail his life’s plan. Certainly, not the one thing he regrets most in the world. When shame and regret are just the beginning…Aware that she doesn’t deserve a second chance, that still doesn’t stop Grace from doing her best to be a better person. However, the struggle to forgive herself feels a lot like a losing battle every time she sees Styx Reinhart. Even knowing there’s not an apology big enough, she still has to try.Aware that it would be the height of stupidity to ever give Grace Hale the time of day again, that still doesn’t stop Styx from wondering what she’s up to. However, noticing the changes in her, he wishes he go back to pretending she doesn’t exist. Even knowing she’s heartless, he still finds himself intrigued. With a past too hurtful to overcome, the odds are stacked against them. Grace can never be sorry enough and Styx can never trust her again. Still, anything worth your love is worth the fight. There's not much to add to my bio, I'm pretty boring...LOL. My favorite thing is to read and, last year, I decided to trade in some of those reading hours and try my hand at writing. The experience has been one of the best things I could have ever embarked upon. It's turned into a hobby that is fun and thoroughly enjoyable. When I'm not reading or writing, I'm spending time with my family or friends.

I waited a long time for a new book from this author and this what i get??? What is this sh*t???

I CAN’T EVEN..... ARRRGGGHHH.....

OMG!!!!!!!

So basically the hero wants the heroine for the first time they saw each other and also the heroine but because they went to this fancy big popular private school so they kissed in private and never made it officially and even go public, nope. The hero went very extremely sad and devastated because the heroine humiliated him in front of anyone after what they been through, he went side ways like having s*x with his friend and since then they just stop talking to each other. Fast forward, THE HEROINE HAVE SOMETHING TERRIBLE HAPPEN TO HER SO SHE FELT GUILTY AND STARTS TO SEE THINGS DIFFERENTLY SO SHE STARTS TO FINALLY TALK TO THE HERO AFTER THIS WHOLE TIME AND SAY SORRY. THE HERO DIDN’T EXPECT IT AT ALL. SO HE WENT VERY MAD TO THE HEROINE BECAUSE AFTER ALL THIS TIME WHY NOW? WHY NOW?

HE GOT ALL CONFUSED AND START TO GO MAD TO THE HEROINE DEMANDING HER TO REALLY MAKE IT RIGHT AND HE WANTS TO SEE IF she really did feel bad about the whole thing. After they sorted out their issues together despite having issues along the way (not too annoying or too much) they finally officially dated and work things together for a better future.

WHAT I DON’T LIKE THAT THE HERO WANTS THE HEROINE TO BE FRIENDS WITH THE GIRL HE USED TO SLEPT WITH BECAUSE TECHNICALLY THE FRIEND IS PART OF HIS CLOSEST FRIEND GROUP. HE SAID IT WAS NOT A BIG DEAL AND IT WAS JUST SEX. The girl even knows the hero doesn’t love her and only loves the heroine.
ARGH. Nope. I don’t want that at all.

I BET WHEN THE HEROINE DID THE SAME I KNOW THE HERO DON’T WANT THAT EITHER. SO IT WAS SO SELFISH OF HIM TO EVEN DARED TO ASK HER LIKE THAT! Hey lets be friends to some girl i used to slept with because we have this same group friend together and like it or not I can’t stop talking to her😂 THE HERO is not even that alpha male either for me because of how childish and insecure he is. The hero didn’t chase the heroine demanding answer on why at first she acted the way she is like he supposed to like a alpha male you know... He just run away being sad and mad over everything to her...

Not a epilogue either like few years later or what.

What a boring and waste of my time :(

The only magnanimous thing that could be said about Blackstone Prep was that it allowed scholarship students to attend. They also allowed anyone who met the testing parameters to attend as well, as long as they were able to pay the astronomical tuition that rivals that of ivy league colleges.

At seventeen, Grace Hale and her twin Sterling are wealthy over-indulged, privileged high school students with unlimited access to the finer things in life. Their parents are casually neglectful, but that’s compensated with nannies, housekeepers, and cooks.

They were already registered to a preschool their parents enrolled them into while their mother Serena was still pregnant with them. That’s their level of pretentiousness.

Grace lived a life of one upmanship, if a girl came to school with the latest handbag, another girl would automatically outdo her up with a handbag that hadn’t even been available to the public yet. Then, Grace would flaunt her bespoke handbag that was commissioned as one-of-a-kind.

The hallways of Blackstone were littered with the conceited and snobby. London Addison was probably the only female at Blackstone who didn’t get swept up in the politics of social standings and what people thought of her. Granted, she was a knockout and started at the top, if London has any weaknesses, it’s yet to be seen.
On top of coming from a wealthy family, London had been blessed in the gene pool as well.

Styx Reinhardt~has one year left at Blackstone. He isn’t one of the privileged but a mere mortal amongst the pretentious. It was a place if one could score a scholarship or scrape up the money to pay for the astronomical tuition. The cost of going to Blackstone was up there with buying a house, except, you couldn’t pay Blackstone off in payments. Blackstone Prep wanted their money upfront and in full. However, it was also a place that could set you up for the rest of your life if you could get in and take advantage of all its perks.
His father, Logan Reinhardt is a cop and his mother, Della Reinhart, was a city clerk. They were a middle-class family that, normally, could not afford a place like Blackstone. At around the age of six, people had started taking notice of his intelligence, and it was soon discovered that he had quite the I.Q. His parents had begun saving money early on, in hopes of getting him into Blackstone. Everyone in the country knew what kind of futures Blackstone could award people, so when his I.Q. had been confirmed, his parents had started saving as much as they could to get him there. They’d been able to swing three years at Blackstone, instead of the preferred four.

Grace had forgotten a notebook and had been going back for it when she’d stumbled upon Leah and Seth, her boyfriend of eight months in a heated exchange. The encounter had looked intimate and intense, so she’d crept closer until she’d heard enough to regret having ever eavesdropped.

She was more humiliated than hurt, feeling duped, but nowhere near as devastated as the way Leah had sounded as Seth shattered her heart. He’s admitted that he was sleeping with her only because Grace refused.

Leah Moffet had knowingly slept with a useless waste of space who was dating someone else. Her error in judgement was cheating with someone she knew already had a girlfriend. She might not have gotten pregnant, resulting in and ended up in the situation she had.

A week later, Leah slit her wrists in her bathtub, leaving her family a heartbreaking suicide note, all because she had wanted to belong to the popular crowd.

Says a lot about Grace and her discerning taste in boyfriends.

Sterling remained with her the rest of the day, but the next day at school, he had beaten Seth so badly, Seth had been out of school for over a week. The surprising thing about it had been that Sterling had never told Seth why he had beaten him up, and Seth had never asked. Seth had probably already known why because Sterling had made it clear to Seth that he and Grace were broken up as he had delivered the final blow, knocking Seth out.

“You can’t erase the person you were back then, Grace. All you can do is change the person you are today. That’s your amends. People say sorry all the damn time and it doesn’t mean sh*t if it’s just a word with no action behind it. Cruelty stays with people. All you can do is show them the person you are today and hope that they can accept the new person you are and understand that you’ve changed enough to leave the old you behind”. London to Grace.

Styx’s eighteenth birthday was celebrated with all the people he’d want there, his parents, sister, Davion, and seven other people. Cason, Brooks, Zeke, Ivy, and Claire were all friends from his neighbourhood and who he’d gone to grade school with. Davion aside, Brett and Lauren were the only other people from Blackstone he considered friends enough to invite them over.
The best way to categorise his friends were the following:
Cason was the broody fighter type.
Brooks was the moody book type.
Zeke was the easy-going type.
Ivy was the sports fanatic type.
Claire was the girly type, and his regular hookup.
Brett was the driven type.
Lauren was the quiet type.
And Davion was all of those types put together.

Grace and Styx met at fifteen during a summer musical programme. Since all his extra money went towards his Blackstone tuition, there wasn’t surplus for music.

Styx had lost his virginity within a month of Grace destroying him. He had foolishly believed that being with another girl would help with the heartache, but he’d been wrong.

He didn’t know how Grace affected him.
He’s hated her for so long, he’d forgotten what it had felt like to be in love with her.
And then, she tried to change her own tire.
And then, she started saying hi and smiling at people who were socially below her.
And then, she told Seth Burns she wasn’t worthy of having someone fight for her.
They say indifference is the only true form of moving on from someone, but if that’s true, I should have moved on from Grace Hale. I had managed to ignore her existence for over two years. I hadn’t thought about her and I hadn’t paid her any mind, even as we shared classes together.

In a violent sexual act, he traumatises Grace after which Sterling and Styx get into a massive fight as he defends his sister.

He then apologises and she easily forgives him as he persuades her to be friends with his hookup Claire.

This was convoluted.

Loved the book and both the MCs! I just wish the book wasn’t so short.😢

Basically,
the book is about a rich girl and a poor boy falling in love during one summer. Come school time, she breaks his heart by telling him that he’s not good enough for her rich self, that she’d embarrassed to be seen with him at her school.

It’s 2 yrs later when the book starts and she realizes what an ass she’s been and seeks forgiveness.

The h 100% redeems herself with plenty of groveling.
Love scenes were hot and descriptive!

Safe
No cheating
She had a BF during separation but remained a virgin.
H had a fuck buddy. She was just a friend who became someone he started sleeping with. She didn’t make his heart pump, but who will always remain a friend in his life. Sucked that the h had to be around her in the future, but this ow was likable.

The healthiest story by this author so far.

The healthiest story by this author so far. I liked this story and the characters were strongly written but I was mildly bored. It was a good story with a lot of teen angst but too much was off page. I really wish this author would let us see every aspect of the relationships as they happen and not as a replay of thoughts.

Still, teen bully romance is exactly what I like from this author and I definitely want more. Enjoy.
