Sturmir's Human Slave

Rate this book
He licks the tears off my face, then throws me in a cage.

I shudder at the wet heat of his alien tongue. I’m disgusted, but not because he’s licking me, but because I like it.

I wait in the darkness. When will Sturmir come for me? What will he do to me?

The door creaks open, but it’s not him.

It’s something else.

This one isn’t just going to lick me, he’s going to—

Sturmir grabs him by the hair and crushes his head against the wall. He’s strong. He’s brutal. He’s smiling at me.

He leans in close to me. “Do everything I tell you to, little human, and I’ll keep them away from you.”

I nod, and my body trembles. His finger runs along my cheek. My lips part.

“You like how I smell, don’t you, little human?”

I freeze. I can’t get words to come out.

I don’t need any words though. I just need to do everything and anything he tells me to.

Cute story !!

I enjoyed this book.
It is about a young woman , Rebecca , just out of school . A series of unfortunate events leads her to being cryo - frozen for CENTURIES , and when she is finally woken up, she is the ONLY Real woman alive !!!
That makes her everything the hybrids aren't . Pure blood. And That makes her an Empress.
Sturmir is a warlord who captures Rebecca and her shipmates. He realizes what she is and puts her on the throne, overthrowing the current Empress. He thinks that Rebecca will do whatever he tells her .
Haha !!!
This was a funny story and an easy read . There are a few typo's that had me very confused, but I kept going, and kind of put it together !! Overall, glad I picked it up !!

*** Edited to add now that I read the Frozen Mates Series:
This books isn't a stand alone! And man it would have saved me some confusion to know it's actually #5 of that series. I'm not sure why the author has it switched now but definitely read the Frozen Mates Series first if you want to get the world of this book. definitely more of a 4⭐ looking back had I read it in order ***

I have to say the formatting, which changes on and off throughout the book, is really distracting. Sometimes every paragraph starts with an all caps formatted sentence and they are only 2-3 sentences long. There are a ton of typos, "hile" and "Nall" and such, at one point from one paragraph to the next the names of the characters are all messed up, and twice the POV changes mid chapter without warning. A good editor would really help.

I really enjoyed the storyline and concept but found the world building confusing. I couldn't really get what had happened and the 'great orgy' is never explained. I still don't get how there's no real humans, but there are humans who aren't hybrids but they aren't real humans? I dunno. Maybe if I read the other series.

I actually liked these characters, though completely unbelievable that a maybe 18 year old high school student wakes up and then runs a three planet empire including negotiations and whatnot. But they are at least all flawed and likeable which is better than some of the TSTL and super painful bitchy characters in other alien romance.

I'm going to try the other series most out of curiosity on the world created here.

Who betrays who... Sturmir, the nobles, or Rebecca?

This book started out interestingly enough to pull me in only to twist into something else entirely from what I expected. It is full of deceit and betrayals, but it also ends in love and a HEA. Warring between humans and Glacians on two world habitats while hybrids live on another some distance away. There's betrayals amongst the warlords of Glacians as well as the nobles against the Empress, Rebecca. Sturmir, who lead the capture of the space shuttle Rebecca was on and brought her in to the two worlds to usurp the fake Empress and use her to his benefits. Which in turn causes betrayers amongst the nobles and the warlords to act against the Empress and Sturmir. In the end, Rebecca abdicated from throne to leave the mess behind with Sturmir and raise her family.

Actually had a plot

This novel was true to the typical alien human capture genre, but with a twist.
It actually had a plot. The characters had depth and personality and there were interesting twists that weren't purely predictable. There is a paragraph that could benefit from careful editing, and there were some layout/ style options I wasn't in love with but those are very minor distractions. Otherwise, this novel succeeds where so many others fail... it's not just written porn. The heroine has frailties, but isn't bratty or unusually stubborn. The hero makes mistakes but has nuances to his personality.
If I have to spend my leisure time perusing less than lofty, edifying literature, it should at least be well written. Would recommend for a fun quick read.

Entertaining

When Sturmir takes over a human world, he discovers Becca, a pure human, who has just been woken from cryosleep.
Sturmir makes Becca into the Empress, but it doesn’t always work out that things go to plan...
A quick, lusty read, to entertain you for the evening.
It’s not a deep read, but alien sci-fi romance lovers will probably enjoy it.
There are some situations some readers might find disturbing, including near rape, and dominance.
Recommended for those who enjoy a little (or big) alien in their sci-fi romances!

Not at all what I was expecting... so much better!

This delicious read is fast-paced, full of twists and turns, totally unpredictable, and completely excellent. The characters are dynamic with different personalities and different intentions. The story is complex, interesting, and engaging. Once I started this book, I didn’t want to put it down. The writing is great and the world building is phenomenal. I’m looking forward to exploring more of this universe.

This book will capture your interest from the start with an attack in space. The author has a way of drawing you in, especially as she introduces the two main characters and the plot which has a lots of twists and betrayals. What you think you know, changes as you read. You won’t want to miss this book!

Sturmir's stumbles across the only pure living creature left in the universe. A human female that was frozen in time. Some of the problems I had with this was formatting is a bit wonky. Besides that her being Empress was nothing really to make a fuss over. But that foot under the table scene at the event; was something else.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It has a great concept with having someone from our time (2019) frozen and then awoken a thousand years in the future. I loved reading how she copes with all the changes including alien life forms. This is an enjoyable read and I highly recommend it.

It was a good story

With a lot of potential but it all felt rushed. Rushed sex scenes. Rushed characters. Rushed feelings. Like jump from in to the next to the next. Squeezing it all in quickly. A bit more development I think would have really made the story more in depth.

Distracting formating, dnf

Terrible formatting. Every sentence began with capitalized first words. Every sentence was its own paragraph...it was so bad that I did not go further than the first chapter.

A Warrior's Empress

Terrific story with wonderful characters. I loved the way this story builds up to the coupe by the royal court and the Glacians. The betrayal and subsequent rescue was even better. The story kept me riveted to my tablet. Recommend highly.😉

DNF with that being said I did get half way through before putting it down. It had a good storyline and characters but it just wasn’t for me.

If you love a sci-fi romance, you’ll probably love this one. Give it a go.

Good book

The story is really good, the characters are complex. It needs some editing though. I was also a little confused by some of the different aliens.

Sturmir's human

I admit I did not like Sturmir. Rebecca is a stupendous character who, through adversity becomes a brave resourceful human being.

Great book

Why Amazon insist on 20 words for a review via kindle, I don't know. Especially when I just want to say that I really enjoyed this book.

Ho hum

Good story out line but mediocre execution. Plot twist make this book somewhat interesting but it falls flat. I will give the author another chance.

Very good read.

Lot of misspelling and call characters by wrong name made for les then smooth read but still highly enjoyable. Will probably start from the first book.

Not believable

The interaction between the h and H was so lackluster. Felt rushed and had various errors that made it difficult to continue reading.

Teria gostado mais e dado 3 estrelas se não tivessem tantas menções a estupro. Mas ainda seria no máximo 3 estrelas por causa da traição do herói e por ele não ter se redimido corretamente.

"I slept for like 1,500 years, and it just so happens the day I wake up, we make first contact with aliens? I’m either the luckiest woman in the world or....well, considering that he just said he’s taking us all hostage, I’m probably the unluckiest."
