#AMistakeIncomplete #NetGalley Thanks NetGalley, Magnusmade and Lorenzo Petruzziello for an ARC to review. The most unusual pair ( charming thief and a hopeless romantic bartender) dashes through Milan along with a lonely tourist and a prospect imposter. I really loved this book and didn't want it to end, I kept stalling during reading to enjoy it longer! I can see it transformed into a very interesting movie especially with the touristic sites used. I'll look right away The Love Fool to read and I have a new favorite author.
This one was okay for me. I struggled a little with the writing. I am not sure if it was just my copy, or what, but sometimes the author fast forwarded in time with no chapter or paragraph break. One minute two characters are chatting, the next line it's the following morning and they've slept together. Overall though, the story was decent.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I suppose it may be obvious by how quickly I devoured it. I honestly felt it was hard for me to put this one down. I have been known to be a bit of a literary snob at times......and was not sure what to expect from this author's second work. However, I was very impressed. A Mistake Incomplete is so thoughtfully put together, and keeps you on the edge of your seat even beyond the final printed words. The characters are well developed and the details and descriptions of modern day Milan are so spot on that I felt as if I was back vacationing in Milan again. Mr. Petruzziello really has a subtle way of letting you into this city that he knows so well. Bravo to the author and I look forward to any and all future offerings that may arise from his well.
Pretty good. This is entertaining most of the time. I enjoyed the humor and some of the characters in particular. Probably best for those seeking a light read.
I read this book in less than a day! It’s quite the page turner. It’s very suspenseful with relatable characters and beautiful international locations and food! It’s something of a travel guide and you’ll want to make note of certain restaurants and museums and sites to see when you next visit Italy or Germany.
I really liked how unpredictable it was. The writing is great and the depiction of the characters experiences with depression and anxiety is very accurate and relatable.
Lorenzo Petruzziello has a very clear and concise way to tell his story. The attention to detail really helped me as the reader understand and get invested in the world he wrote about. That in turn helped me become invested in the characters who were all very well developed as well.
There is a lot going on in this novel, but I liked the way that Petruzziello kept me informed and not confused throughout it.
The timeline for this book is very active and that in turn keeps the readers mind moving constantly.
I loved how well balanced the book was overall. It was engaging and funny at times, mysterious and thrilling, while just being well rounded.
Wow! What a surprising and interesting novel! It was dark and yet comic and just when I thought it was going to be...well, cliche, the plot took an unexpected swerve. And those swerves kept coming throughout the story. I don't often read mysteries, and my mind was constantly trying to work out the story alongside the characters. The big picture plot was interesting and different - but the little details about characters daily lives and choices were really great as well. Thoroughly enjoyable caper that keeps you guessing and pulls you in and along for the ride!
What a great setting. I loved the setting and how the author seemed very knowledgeable about it. Milan sounds wonderful. This is not a quick read. It's a book that will keep you thinking all of the way through and have you marinating on what you are reading. It makes you think in the best way. It was a great read that really gave more than I was thinking it would. It kept me on my toes the entire way through.
This is one of those novels that stays true to its genre. It is wonderfully Noir and completely immerses you in the setting. I loved how it was set in Milan. The author has that aspect of it nailed. As far as the plot went, goodness there is a lot going on. Lorenzo Petruzziello doesn’t skimp when it comes to all that comes with writing a great action/thriller.
There are many shocks throughout this novel. Be prepared to be on the edge of your seat!
This book was very entertaining, with many twists and turns and plenty of suspense. I loved particularly the description of Milan’s cafés, museums, Cathedral, vertical gardens, etc. I love to be taken on a trip while I read, and that’s how it felt while reading A Mistake Incomplete. I’m very thankful to have received a copy of this book!
A fine bunch of bumblers make for a VERY enjoyable read! I don't know how to review this one without an overlong summary or delving into spoilers, so I'll just say that I LOVED IT! I requested and received a free ebook copy from magnusmade.com via NetGalley.
This story was a perfect cocktail of fun mystery food travel and lust. Keeps you reading ! I was able to play out the scenes in my head and visualize the movie reel. Great escape!
Well, it was a fast read and it had its moments, but overall, it was a piece of stage magic that didn’t make me ooh or aah. And I have no idea why any woman would put up with Stef.
