The new girl doesn’t belong here.
So why can’t I stop thinking about her?

The daughter of the headmaster wants to ruin my school year before it’s even begun. Iris Briggs gets under my skin. With her demure skirts and braided hair, she flits around the periphery until she runs right into me, hot coffee soaking me as she looks up with wide, innocent eyes.

We start off scalding.
In the library, we reach lava levels.
And then in the city? She burns me to the ground.

I’m Keaton Constantine. My duty is to my family. At least, it was until I started unbraiding the good girl and realizing there’s more to life than duty.

God, I wanted her again. I wanted to kiss her so badly that sometimes I caught myself licking my own teeth. I wanted my fingers back in her panties so terribly that I had to curl them into fists to keep from grabbing her.
I just wanted
her.

This is Keaton Constantine and Iris story.
And I was expecting much more from a Constantine.

description

Iris is new in school and worse, she's the new headmaster daughter.
Not only she had to bump with Keaton, but she had the fortune of caught Sera attention that took her under her wing.

description

In this book, we are introduced to the five main characters in the series.
We can see that's more than meets the eye, a lot of it's going on with all of them, a lot of tension.

description

This will be the year that all changes.
The bad boys, that after all, that aren't so bad.
And when they fall...
They fall hard...

description

We see a different Keaton.
In the previous Midnight Dynasty, I had another idea of Keaton, in this one, it seems he doesn't fit in the Constantine's family.
And we all know, his mother can be a real b*tch...

description

When Keaton sees Iris from the first time, he can't take his eyes off her any more.
She doesn't want that kind of problem with a Constantine, furthermore, one with a girlfriend.
Yes, Keaton has a fake girlfriend to get his mother off his back.
A girlfriend that suits the family business.

description

Iris just wants the year to pass fast, so she can go to Paris to study what she wants, and it's not what her father approvals.
The thing is, they can't seem to get their hands off each other...
I love Becker does a bonus scene for all this books.
A few years after and how they are together.
It's so smoochy...

I am so excited that I picked up my first Becker Gray book, as it did not disappoint. This is by far one of the steamiest, sexiest and utterly delicious books I’ve read all year! Having no idea what this story was about, or the writing style of Becker Gray, I went into Wicked Idol blind. I am so thrilled at this books storyline, characters and dirty words that Keaton just won’t stop speaking.

Keaton Constantine is a fiery playboy that is promised to a girl he doesn’t love. His family has his life planned out for him, to benefit their own profit margin and not his happiness. Iris Briggs is the forbidden headmaster’s daughter. Innocent from the first time Keaton collides with her. Their hunger for one another is purely desperate, and their chemistry is simply erotica at its finest. The pairing that is not going to be tolerated by his family, slowly turns into the one thing he’s going to fight for. This book from cover to cover just pulled me in, had my kindle on fire and falling in love with these characters, the setting, just everything!

I am so glad I found Becker Gray and I cannot wait to read more!!!

I flipping loved this. I’m obsessed when the Constantine family. Seriously.

Keaton is a senior on campus, not excited about college. He’s the golden king of the campus.

Iris is the new girl, headmasters daughter, loves photography!

I love their chemistry and sass. There’re immediately!

Highly recommend

Wicked Idol was my first read by Becker Gray and I can guarantee it wont be my last.

Iris makes the colossal mistake her first day at a new high school, where her father happens to be the headmaster of, by bumping into and spilling the coffee of none other than Keaton Constantine. This of course captures his attention.

Iris has a lot of expectations to live up to. Her parents expect her to be just like her successful sister. Instead Iris is more artistic and desires to study photography in France, rather than attend an Ivy League school like they desire.

Keaton Constantine comes from a very prestigious family. Remember Winston from Stroke of Midnight? Keaton is his little brother. Keaton is fake dating a girl, in order to live up to their families expectations and the status quo. For the first time he craves something for himself with Iris.

Bound together by a group project they begin to get to know the real person they are both hiding.

Becker Gray delivers a true New Adult romance with Wicked Idol. It is packed with all the feels, confusion of the future and burn that only a first love can bring. Wicked Idol was a full on enjoyable read.

Starting a new school is hard enough, but doing it at the school your father is the headmaster at takes things to a whole new level of nerve racking. The moment Iris Briggs sets foot on campus she knows she is out of her element, her uniform is all wrong, and her lack of make-up makes her stick out like a sore thumb. Her plan to stay under the radar and not draw attention to herself seems easier said then done, when she accidentally bumps into one of the most popular boys on campus.

Keaton Constantine reeks of old money, prestige, arrogance, and popularity and landing on his bad side is the last place she wants to be. But she does, and now she is left dreading his retaliation. She knows mixing herself up with a boy like him can't be a good thing, but every time he is near it sends the butterflies in her belly into an uproar. He is the devil... and the devil has never looked so good!

Wicked Idol is an edgy and intense enemies to lovers tale that will command your attention from the first page and hold it intently until the last. These two bring heat and tension to every page, their battles bring out the best and worst in them, and push them to their breaking points. Keaton is use to always getting his way, but Iris isn't about to surrender to him like all the others have, she stands her ground and gives as good as she gets. Every interaction between them stokes their deep hatred for one another, and has tension levels unbelievably high. But eventually their hatred begins to falter and something else starts to settle in between them, an undeniable attraction that leads them down a path they never saw coming. I loved every single second of this one, the words were so addictive, I just couldn't pry my eyes from them. This story was emotional, uber steamy, and came with the perfect amount of angst to torture the heart just the way I like it … it was perfect from beginning to end! Highly recommend!

I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.

STARS!!! It was one hell of a ride. I was electrocuted multiple times because of their chemistry and I love that their relationship transcends frivolous lust and they actually care about each other.

I'd have given it five stars straight away if not for the cheesy dialogues 😂

3 stars ⭐️

I’ve read several high school romances and always end up rating them around 3 stars and it’s usually because of the cringe-y dialogues and cliche plot so somebody please tell me when will i learn to quit?!
the only HS romance i digged so hard this year was Hefty by Jessa Kane and it was gLORIOUS ✨

Characters
Both Keaton (H) and Iris (h) were okay. i meannn i didn’t hate them but i wasn’t crazy about them either. I’d say Iris was the one to irritate me the most in here (we’ll get into that later). The only thing that felt relatable was them both facing conflicts with their parents regarding their future.

What annoyed me
Other than the cringe-y things that were said between Keaton and Iris, my main problem here was that they both sounded and acted like their age, 18, when they were not messing around w each other but whenever the situation gets raunchy between them (which was well written btw 🥵👌🏻kudos to the author!), they sounded a lot more mature than they were???
I usually tend to just ignore the age but it was hard to do that here bc it felt like i was reading 2 separate couples...

I also didn’t like how Keaton would frequently compare Iris with other girls. Heck, even Iris would do that a couple of times in her head. liiiiike we get it, you’re not a basic chick who wears make up and dress well to look pretty 🙄
you’re just so different and uNiQue!

“It wasn’t overwhelming like some girls who liked to drown themselves in the latest Dior or Lady Gaga, or God help them, eau de RiRi.”

what’s wrong with wanting to smell good? and how can you not like Dior??

i’d honestly be fine if she was indicated like she’s different from others but i hate direct comparisons💀

kinda ˢᵖᵒⁱˡᵉʳ but not really¿?
So another thing about Iris, it kinda bugged me that after she found out that Keaton has a ‘girlfriend’ (fake btw but she didn’t know that info at first) and was confronted by his ‘girlfriend’, she’d get defensive and countered that it’s suppose to be on Keaton since he’s the one who has a girlfriend and still chose to kiss her, which i was 💯 and was all for it!

“Look. If you’ve got a problem with Keaton kissing someone else, I suggest you take it up with Keaton. He’s the one who kissed me. It’s not very feminist of you to scold me instead of the boy who’s actually made promises to you.”
👏🏻

but theN when Keaton made a move on her again, instead of bringing up his ‘girlfriend’ and calling him out, she only tells him they should stop only bc someone might see them and how it’d affect her reputation....
what does that tell you about her character, hm?
maybe if was down for a cheating trope (scarcely ever happen), then maybe i wouldn’t mind as much 🤷🏻‍♀️

Impotant!; i wanna know...who says ‘fingerbang’?!?

“I had let Keaton Constantine finger me. Fingerbang me. In the darkroom.”

me:

Who even uses the word ‘bang’ in 2020?
High chance it’s Iris. is it bc she’s 18? should i give her a break?

***Anywayyy i’ll still pick up future books by this author since 3 stars isn’t actually bad and i’ve rated lower for HS romances.

4 “I love pigtails” stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Iris was purity personified, and I wanted to be the asshole who made her dirty.

These days the high school romance are all about dark and angsty bullying where the H is cruel and intense AF while I love them that way sometimes it’s fun to read one which is sweet, a little angsty and fluffy and also without bullying. This one was just that and I wholeheartedly enjoyed it. I was constantly smiling and rooting for the couple.

I’d never had a crush like this, never liked a boy like this, never felt about anybody the way I felt about Keaton. Like he had crawled under my skin.
I hated him.
And . . . I thought of him constantly.

This is the debut novel and the first in the hellfire club series by a new to me author and since it’s their first book....let me say they (they ‘cause it’s by a duo) freaking rocked it. It was another read from the midnight dynasty world ( Also, Can i please be a part of it ).

He lifted a brow then and brought his fingers to his lips and sucked.
Panties down. Panties down. They were on fire. He was licking my taste off them.
He closed his eyes and moaned, licking them clean before pulling them free. “Well, if I’m not going to have another taste, might as well enjoy the one I just had.”

Well....there goes my panties too.

If you guys thought Winston was sexy as hell, then let me tell you Keaton Constantine was the younger version of him. Hot, rugby god, possessive, domineering, dirty-talker but with his own brand of sweetness, charming as hell and a smooth sweet-talker.

”You are a walking, talking rich jock stereotype.”
“And you,” he seethed, “my uptight good-girl, are a pain in my ass. But here we are.”

Iris Briggs is the new headmaster’s daughter who follows the rules to a T which leads to her being called as a goody two shoes and as if that’s not enough, she ends up crashing right into Keaton, the resident bad boy and rugby team captain, who doesn’t take it too kindly. Now that there paths has crossed, fate seems to bring them together again and again which brings us too steamy and hot AF make out sessions.

”You make me forget why things should be hard,” she said, and then her hand slipped down to cover my own.
Together we pushed my finger inside her sheath. I hissed when I felt how wet she was. “Jesus Christ, Iris.”
“I want to see you,” she whispered, her eyes dipping down to where my cock was currently trying to drill a hole through my pants. “I still haven’t seen you.”

Iris was a badass from the start. She might be a good two shoe but she did not lack in confidence, sassiness and standing up to Keaton every time. Their back and forth were angsty, funny and filled with rip-each-other’s-clothes-off tension (if you’re wondering....yes he indeed ripped her clothes off). He also definitely said it right A pissed off iris is a horny iris no wonder he kept getting on her nerves. She had her own baggage, always feeling pressure to fill in her older sister’s shoes and be someone else. Which made her so similar to him and the right person to understand him as well.

”No clothes, Iris,” he said huskily. “I want you bare.”
God, when he used that voice . . . I quivered. It frightened me how much control he had over my body, over my reactions, just by being him. It frightened me to think he might have that kind of control over my heart—that he could set it to racing with happiness or thudding with anxious pain.

Keaton has always tried to make her mom and the Constantine name proud even if he had to sacrifice his own dreams and happiness. Then came Iris into his life who with every interaction made a place in his heart and made him realise what real love and happiness is. I just wanted to hug them both.

Their romance had such a smooth and easy flow to it. They were adorable with great chemistry and an equally strong connection. They saw each other past the facade they presented to others. What I loved the most was how they lifted up each other with no secrets or walls between them only genuine feelings.

God, is this what it felt like? To really care about someone and have them care about you back? It had been so long for me. Maybe never. With Iris, I felt like myself. Like I belonged somewhere. This girl owned me, and she had no idea.

They started as enemies, angsty and lust filled scenes, turned lovers along the way. The grovel part was done right and with a gesture so sweet it will give you all the feels and enough heat to light your kindle on fire. I recommend to all those who want a high school romance which is not too dark but with angst and sexy times you crave.

ARC provided to me by dangerous press in exchange for an honest review.

What was this? I am just so confused on why Becker Gray would write this. There is no originality in this book. This book featured a classic high school enemies to lovers. And every cliche thing you could think of that happens in that trope, I assure you was written in this book.

After being transferred to a new school thanks to her dad, again, Iris on her first day she does the mistakable -- she knocks into Keaton, one of the members of the Hellfire Club. Keaton has his issues of his own with his family but after that one encounter the new girl cannot get out of his head. They both should hate each other but they don't.

This was horribly developed. HORRIBLY. These characters are supposed to hate each other but by chapter two they are already kissing and before you know it, they are already falling in love. This was not gradual; it was just nonsense after nonsense. I just really don't understand how the characters or any of the plot worked because this was all just a mess, and so poorly written. I hated every single second of this. Everything went from A to Z way too quick which caused no time to develop anything. The backstories for the heroine and hero, friendships, the plot, and the romance all seemed to just be put on the page without no organization. For example, the heroine, Iris, was new to school and she met a couple girls that could be her friend. However, besides a few chapters of her talking to those girls there was barely any development for friendship but at the end they were "besties".

I could go on and on and get more specific but it’s not worth my time. This was a big..NO.

This was a yummy read. Pretty light on the enemies to lovers, but there was a touch of disgust for both of them and had them fighting themselves to feel anything else. That didn't last long though and then it was pretty much an insta-love.

Iris and Keaton were a match made in heaven. The new headmaster's good girl daughter catches the dirty talkin', rich playboy's eyes. He was for sure book boyfriend material. Boy, he had a way with words! I know you have read that trope before, but there was just something magical that set this book apart from the rest for me.
They were forced into working together on a school project and that just helped to stoke the flames
The fight between them was pretty comical. It was just a matter of time before they both combusted... and boy did they! Time and time again.

They both were to make their parents happy, even if it's not what they truly want for themselves. One wants to be with the one they love and the other wants a dream school and to be really seen for who they are.

Such a sweet, young love read.

18 year old Iris is new at the elite prep school in Vermont. Her dad's the new headmaster.
On her first day she makes the most unfortunate impression on Keaton.
Keaton Constantine. The leader of the Hellfire Club and the king of the school.
Keaton has better things to do than constantly think about the new girl. His family and his life are complicated enough. He doesn't need Iris in his thoughts all day.

Great YA/NA Love Story!

I don't really know what to say about this book.
I really liked reading it. It was a quick read.
Sexy, fun, highschooly, a bit heartbreaking.

So, please don't let my upcoming ramblings stop you from reading and enjoying this story!

The book was way too short. Nothing was talked about long enough. Not even the Hellfire Club - which is what the series is called. We meet all the future books' guys and girls for seconds. Especially the boys. We don't get enough of them. We don't get any background on anything basically. Not even Iris & Keaton's family and their siblings and their hopes and dreams. It's all just mentioned so very quickly. And nothing really happens in the book.
Iris and Keaton meet when she spills her coffee all over him. They hate each other on sight. But they're also in love at first sight. And then - in what feels like 20 minutes later - they're making out big time in the library? And then they want to move to Paris and live happily ever after. They're 18 and in highschool! Maybe if this would've been a college romance, I could've lived with all that. But it's just too weird. Everything is too insta, too cliché and silly.
It felt like a book that I've read a million times before. And not only the story. But the writing too. No idea who the authors are, but I feel like I've read them before and even then I wasn't in love with the writing. The sometimes weird use of grammar and especially the word AS (as in: I couldn't come to the meeting, AS I was still in bed). It was all so familiar. Very weird.
And the cover. I loved it when I saw it for the first time. I like guys on a cover. But. Keaton is a sweet 18 year old highschooler who just wants his family to be happy and who dreams of a happy life for himself. This cover guy looks like he was cast for the story of a 37 year old former rodeo star who is now retired and living off his winnings - or working on Wall Street.

Anyway. As you might have noticed ... this wasn't our day dear book. It might've been just me and my mood today. I really did like the story. For a quick, sexy romance ... it was totally ok. But I expected so much more, especially because I wanted to get hooked into the series. I wanted to be excited to read the next books. I will probably read them, but with much lower expectations.
Sorry.

I also want to add - should this whole series ever come to Netflix, I would definitely watch it!☺

WICKED IDOL was fun and sexy little YA/NA Highschool romance! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Keaton - this one is MINE!

Hmm. This should have been a homerun for me, on the surface. I was under the impression that it would be bullyish high school rich people (maybe mafia??). If you’re looking for a bully romance or mafia or something with some edge, you can just move along. I’m even side-eyeing “enemies to lovers”…. More like “2 school kids, with a tiny wimper of family drama, who meet and decide to bone”. Is that a trope? Well, it is now. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Very sweet. Veeeerrry consensual and vanilla. He even asks to kiss her. Every time. 👀 Condoms always used. 5 seconds of tepid OW drama to provide a semblance of a plot and conflict… meh. The only edginess here is that they are practically humping in the school library 5 seconds after meeting. And they get to the full meal not long after that.

It felt like a bunch of scenes that belonged spaced out in a longer book that actually included relationship and character development. It’s just slightly longer than a novella. There was plenty of room to flesh-out and elaborate. There were several plot holes. No emotion.

She’s a sheltered virgin who has never been touched, and she all but jumps his bones in public at school after a 3 minute pissy (for no apparent reason) conversation. 🧐

Until the h shows up at his boarding school, he’s been in a “fake” relationship for several years with another girl who he supposedly never touches…. But somehow he’s a crazy experienced god in the sack… 🤔

And the rest of the book is similar. Plenty of physical intimacy and dirty talk but not much logic or real connection. 2 stars. So much potential. Needs work. I might try another book to see if there is improvement.

Love the cover. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Did a bit of re-reading of this series and lowered my rating from 4* to 3.5*.

-----

"With my lips on hers, I didn’t think about the loneliness. I didn’t take into account how isolated I felt most of the day. It didn’t occur to me to feel unwanted, unloved."

From Becker Grey, a new author to me, Wicked Idol is a high-school bully, enemies to lovers romance set in the world of the "respectable" Constantine crime family. It is the first book in the Hellfire series and is part of the Midnight Dynasty world.
Keaton is one of the youngest Constantines. He battles the need to be the perfect son in order to get his mother's love and attention with his aspirations to become his own person after graduation. In comes Iris, the headmaster's youngest daughter. She has the same inner struggles as Keaton. Their relationship is very conflictual at the beginning but their chemistry and their shared passion for photography ultimately brings them together.
This is a great read for anyone who wants to relax during the holidays with an easy to read, steamy, not over the top angsty book.

I was curious about this series. I heard so many people talking about it. So here I am.
I don’t know why but I couldn’t connect with the story. I found it all too rushed . I personally don’t enjoy when the characters get together so soon , I didn’t see much of a story to follow. I kept reading hoping for an improvement but I guess it wasn’t the book for me.
However I liked the chemistry and the passion between the characters.
I gave it 3 stars for now( maybe one day I’ll give it another chance)
Enjoy!

Wicked Idol by Becker Gray is full of new adult enemies to lovers deliciousness. The chemistry is insane. The story gripped my heart and never let go. The writing is absolutely brilliant. It's such a dirty, filthy, sexy, angsty and uber emotional treat for every romance lover.

Irish Briggs is the new student of Pembroke Preparatory Academy and daughter of the new headmaster. She wants to stay out of trouble and pursue her dream of studying photography against her parents' wish. But her path is crossed by Keaton Constantine. And she certainly doesn't need this king's attention. Even if Keaton cannot stop thinking about her.

So Keaton is the stereotypical bad boy when we first meet him. His family rules New York. Money. Power. Fame. He has them all. He is also school's star rugby player and part of the exclusive Hellfire Club. He is arrogant, cocky, rude, bossy and charismatic. He melts panties and breaks hearts ( like mine) with his smirks and uber sexy attitude. But deep inside he just wants to be loved by his family and to be seen. Iris makes him go crazy with want and longing. This girl is so amazing. She is beautiful, sweet and adorable. But oh my heart, when she shows her sass and challenges Keaton, I cheered her so hard! She thought of Keaton as the ahole bad boy jock but slowly she could see his vulnerability, his lonely existence and his dark heart. She is dealing with her parents' unhealthy expectations and so she can feel for Keaton's dilemma. They are such an explosive pair. They hated each other first - Iris couldn't stand his cockiness. And Keaton couldn't stand how deeply she affected him. So they clashed and exploded. Match made in heaven. The chemistry is epic. They set the pages on fire each time they touch. They went crazy in passion and made me go crazy too! The journey wasn't too smooth. Keaton has secrets those can end them forever. But that ending was so dreamy. A dark, debauched and delicious fairytale ending! Iris made Keaton loved and whole and made him realise true love is most important than anything. And Keaton helped Iris fly.

I cannot get over how steamy, intense and heartachingly beautiful this story was. Wicked Idol introduced me to this whole new sexy and captivating world by Becker Gray. And I need more. And more. And more. Addicted and obsessed and consumed.

I reviewed an early copy voluntarily

This was my first Becker Gray book and needless to say.........WOW, this book had me entranced from beginning to end! Keaton Constantine was definitely the sexy, sinfully delicious alphahole we can't help but love and Iris Briggs was the sweet, sassy good girl that we cheered for along the way. These two were nothing short of explosive chemistry that seduced me page after page hoping and praying for their HEA! If you have started reading the Midnight Dynasty World I highly recommend you do!

It's time I cut my losses with this one. I can't do it. The writing isn't for me, and there isn't any character development to keep my attention.
I tried several times to read it but the writing is too juvenile and the plot isn't original.

Wicked Idol by Becker Gray starts off with a bang and keeps you hanging on until the end! The story centres around Iris Briggs and Keaton Constantine. Iris is a good girl; she’s working hard for her goals and on her passion of photography. Being the new girl at Pembroke Preparatory Academy and also being the daughter of the new and uptight Principal of the school, you kind of know her transition isn’t going to be easier. To make her life harder she happens to dump coffee all over the King of the school, Keaton.

Keaton is the undisputed King of the school. A popular, rich, well like rugby star, Keaton seems to have it all and he certainly has it in for new girl Iris, who seems to be the antithesis of everything he stands for. Little does he know that their backgrounds are quite similar and that their trials and tribulations could literally tear them apart.
This was a great enemy to lovers’ story. I loved the fact that Iris doesn’t let Keaton get away with anything and that it is a battle of the wills when it comes to who is the strongest person in their relationship. The fact that Keaton has to put on a charade to keep his mother happy was heart-breaking at times as you could see the raw vulnerability that seems to ooze out of him during the reading of those scenes. Saying that, there definitely was sometimes you wanted to slap him across his arrogant head, especially when it came to how he treats and talks to Iris.

You can also see Iris’s struggle with being ‘perfect’ for her parents and their lack of understanding of their passion or even general interest in their daughters wants or needs. I enjoyed the fact that Iris and Keaton were so similar in some of their life experiences and that they came to depend on each other when at first there was so much instant dislike.

The chemistry between the two characters was amazing and kept you turning the pages of this book. It was like watching fireworks go off! And the little epilogue at the end, both hilarious and steamy all at one. These two characters definitely have their own tribe and I’m interested to see who gets a book next.

A steamy, crazy and at points soul destroying read!

⭐️ 3.5 "Big Red" Stars ⭐️
Wicked Idol was an interesting start to the Hellfire Club Series. The plot of this novel wasn't anything new or unique, but the characters were enjoyable. I felt there was a spark missing to wholly capture my attention, still I had a good time reading this high school romance.

Iris Briggs looks like your innocent, meek heroine, but she hides her fire well. Keaton Constantine brings the sassiness out of her with his rich guy arrogance. This hero also hides his true self. He's not the jerk everyone sees him as. Yes, he likes to provoke Iris often but he's really a sweet and attentive boy. This couple develops a fast attraction and this leads to steamy hot encounters and real feelings. Both have high expectations set on them by their families. It's what brings them closer, but also keep them from embracing their relationship fully.

I felt the romance progressed a little too fast to make me really believe the level of their feelings for each other. Too insta-love for me, nonetheless a good story. I'm genuinely interested about the next novels in the series though. I feel there's a great potential with the supporting cast for their own books!

Becker Gray’s debut novel Wicked Idol is about Keaton Constantine Winston's younger brother.

Keaton, rugby captain, king of the school, and scion of one of the most powerful families in New York. and, together with his elite and influential friends, they call themselves The Hellfire Club.

On her very first day at Pembroke Preparatory Academy, Iris Briggs, the new girl who also happens to be the daughter of the Headmaster, pissed off the Hellfire Club by bumping into Keaton.

On the surface, Keaton and Iris are the perfect example of two people who do not belong. The popular jock, spoiled rich boy and the new girl with wide, innocent eyes. But both of them just can't stop thinking about each other, reaching lava levels when they again bump into each other at the library. The sex between them is hot and dirty. From the dark room to a weekend in New York, just epic.

But Keaton is a Constantine, and that means to make sure that there is a legacy for you and your brothers and sisters to carry on. Because that’s what being a Constantine means and Keaton wanted to make my mother proud and honor my father’s legacy, because All I’d ever wanted was to be a real part of this family, to prove I had value.

Keaton's betrayal stung deep and when Iris got accepted to Sorbonne, she hops the first plane to Paris.
A fast paced enemies-to-lovers story with a HFN in the Midnight Dynasty World.

Read Iris and Keaton's extended epilogue, The Proposal.

Wicked Idol is the new YA book by Becker Gray that has scorching chemistry between its main characters and is full of all the drama and angst I look forward to in a good story.

Keaton is king of the Pembroke Preparatory Academy campus. He's the typical private school rich bad boy, star player of the rugby team, member of the notorious Hellfire Club and comes from a prestigious New York family. He's used to everyone doing his bidding and getting his way, but when he meets the new girl the sparks fly as she doesn't care who he is or his status on campus.

Iris Briggs is the daughter of the headmaster as the Academy. It's her senior year and all she wants is to fly under the radar, finish school and start living her life the way she wants. Her parents always compare her to her older sister and have high expectations of her. Her dream is to move to Paris and become a well known photographer. When she accidentally bumps into Keaton she knows her life will be less than quiet as she's now captured his attention. These two despise each other but there is no denying that sparks ignite when they're together.

Iris and Keaton were perfect together. My heart broke for Keaton's loneliness and his need for his mom's acceptance. Under all the outward appearances he is actually a very sweet guy who will do anything for those he loves. When he chooses his mom and family obligations over Iris it qas devastating but also completely understandable because he was looking for his mom's acceptance and love. Once he realized his mistake he made sure he proved to Iris how sorry he was for hurting her and that he would always chose her first. These two finally have someone in their corner that sees them for themselves and accepts them for it.

Amazing characters and a storyline that is full of angst, explosive chemistry and an ending that had me wanting to know more! Becker Grey delivered with Wicked Idol!

𝕎𝕚𝕔𝕜𝕖𝕕 𝕀𝕕𝕠𝕝 by Becker Gray was simply put...AMAZING. 🤘

I knew I was getting an enemies-to-lovers, bullyish, academy romance with this book. I've read this trope MANY times. It's a favorite trope of mine. But I've never, NEVER enjoyed this trope more than this (and Riot House).

Iris and Keaton were on fire from the first chapter. Both were burdened by parental expectations and loneliness. Keaton was expected to continue in his family business while Iris was expected to become a lawyer. However both dreamed of lives where they could design and photograph things that they wanted. They desired freedom to be themselves. And as the two of them grew to know each other, they realized they wanted the same things.

The tension between these two was off the charts. I LOVE it when MMCs are crazy for a girl while "hating" them. There's something about them losing control and snapping that just makes those scenes so much hotter.

And boy were the scenes in this book HOT AF. 🤤 The library, the penthouse, the car. The push and pull was fraught with sexual undertones and while that was a heavy part of this book, it was that undeniable, out of control lust and desire that evolved into a sweet, possessive, forever kind of love.

The angst was there. The drama was there. But everything was resolved quickly and the character growth/development had come full circle. Keaton's growth was fantastic. I really liked his character arc.

And that ending? Sexy and sweet. A perfect HEA for my newest favorite couple.

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this book!

Keaton and Iris were definitely a couple that I think will stay with me because of how different and so alike they were at the same time.

Both Keaton and Iris only wanted attention from their parents and neither one could outshine their older siblings. Keaton would try everything in his power to make his mother proud of him and accept him as how he is but all she cared about was the high society and what the company could accomplish by Keaton marrying into an influential family.

Iris Briggs was the chancellor's daughter and didn't approve of her aspirations of becoming a photographer, he wanted her to become like his eldest daughter, that's what would make him happy, but that's not what Iris wants.

When Iris and Keaton connect in all the right levels, they are explosive and I loved how they were with each other. It was basically love at first sight regardless of his reputation and his attitude, Keaton was just a hot, charming and totally misunderstood boy.

The question is, can both Iris and Keaton make their parents understand what their life goals are and that Keaton and Iris were meant to be together??

This book hooked me from the first word written! I can't wait to read more of these mischievous girls and wicked boys from Pembroke Academy.

5 WICKED STARS
