Go ahead and Kaz me too lol! I really like how this series is written. Nothing has happened that I expected. Kaz stole the show for me. Still love Haze but Kaz was everything. Also I can’t stand Casey at all so I was pleasantly surprised on how things played out. As for Swift and Dey I found myself rooting for them when I wasn’t initially. Again the author has me all the way hooked with this one.

The Intrigue
I’m both surprised & impressed w/this series thus far. This is a detour from what Author KC Mills books have been about recently. It definitely feels like a throwback to her earlier books but better. Hats off to Ms Mills because she reels her readers in with skill & keeps them leashed w/suspense. The character development is A1. She’s got us all invested in everyone of the characters & eagerly awaiting what’s next for all of them on pins & needles.
There’s much to love, root for & be afraid of in this latest book. Usually a series falls off with the second book not the case here. This series leveled up w/book 2. I think Swift & Deyah have been the low key MVPs w/such a full, raw, complex & real storyline that its grounded the series with a weighty & meaty relationship. This is some of the best writing I’ve seen from Author Mills in a while. Looking forward to book 3.

Oh my off the hook!!!!! Haze and Rich are living their lives, getting comfortable with their gals. Up Matias Castillo hea of the Castillo Cartel is in town and he wants to know his son!!! King Haze yesss! In the meantime Shae will learn her dad is a MD. These mammies anti shid but produced some great kids. Haze works everything out with Swift, Tunnie and his father . He has no idea what he is in for. Nook gets fired from the block and brother is not happy. Time will tell when he will strike.when Dubs is being flashy and not listening to his boys his demise will out a hurt on some hearts. He was 18? Rich and Haze will look out for Leah. While Rich and Casey are trying to work it out, Mesh threatens Rich with some information she has on him.How will that work out? Yessssss!!!!!
Whew Chile I don't know what to say. Haze and Shae just pull say your heartstrings. I hope things work it between Shaw and her father but I think her sister it's going to be a problem. I think that Haze and his newfound family are going to work out great out at least I hope so. It really seem like his cousin Kaz is a really cool dude and his going to be a good addition to Haze and Rich. Rich and his drama is something else though. I don't trust Casey at all. I think she's going to be a pain on his ass for real. She's going to cause a lot of turmoil in his relationship with Candice. I feel she's going to hold Cori over his head. I hope Dey and the baby come out great. I don't think Swift or Share will be able to handle it if something were to happen to them. I can't wait for the next installment

Easy 5 stars.
I was almost going to rate it lower because it had less action. I expected Haze and Shae to face a series of obstacles e.g....make up & break up, his past with other women creeping up etc. But instead Haze surprises all of us. He's almost - dare I say it- a new man because of Shae and I'm not mad about it. I can't shoot down black love and "that's a good man savannah"🤣 Despite all the warnings Shae received. He's really in love and I like it lol
Honestly, there were a lot of boring fillers and his reacquaintance with his dad wasn't exciting at all. Even meeting his Dad's side of the family wasn't as action filled. Even when Shae met her dad that was incredibly boring and I was thinking "what's the point of adding this scene"? sometimes I feel like authors are just trying to reach a word count 👀 so many irrelevant scenes that you skim read.
Even the scene with Fox ... I thought that would be dramatised because it's a first for Shae but it just seemed normalised. She just goes on as normal...that was disappointing.
This book was just informative. It allowed us to settle in with the characters and take on their problems.
The character that was really going through it in this book was Rich. Like seriously? What was he thinking? I'm starting to see that he's quite impulsive. I feel sorry for Case. I hope she doesn't think she'll be with Rich... hopefully she doesn't become that bitter ex....but she just might be. I dunno, K.C Mills is good at throwing us off with these storylines. So I have no idea what book 3 will have in store for us.
The ending was a cliffhanger again. And I hope it works out for Deyah. And Rosse is jealous. Haze has a lot of enemies. It's just a matter of time when they all start popping out.
I rated it 5 stars because it's well-written. I love the street politics and the way she humanised these characters. I like that we're immersed in their world like we're a part of it, front row- watching 👀(all you need is popcorn lol). It's an extremely entertaining read with ALOT going on. Again, she puts trigger warnings because it's not for sensitive readers. It's very gritty but I enjoy it. Onto the last book I go 🤸🏾♀️🏃🏾♀️

Shae and Haze are so cute and so goal like together it’s sick. This couple right here is definitely becoming my favorite book baes...

Now for as much protection it’s claimed to have on Haze how does this Nook thing got so out of pocket??? In any case let’s go found out how Dey is doing because she must pull through and we already know that Haze and Rich are going to be ok with kaz there.

C'mon Now
TWO things. One somebody need to gone ahead and put Mesh out her misery she got issues and Casey Rich needs to go ahead and be with Candice I really like her for hi she's already got something going for her and she makes Rich happy...Now to Haze and Shae I hope they make it I like them as a couple they are good for each other I am glad Haze is coming around with his dad. Glad Swift is changing and I hope him and Deyah and their baby make it they deserve happiness!! That was crazy
I enjoyed reading about these characters. There was drama but what’s a tale without I did love the way the story flowed great hood love story romance. Shea was lucky to meet her 1 in Haze. Haze is ur typical thuggery out homie not looking for anything permanent until his sprint gets whiff of Shae then his life changes all of the things he was known to not do changes once Shae’s presence bullied into his space and heart. I finished and loved how the series ended . I ended up em reading the set out of order but nonetheless it was a great story. Happy reading

The life of Shae, Casey, Candence and Deya are all displayed as dangerously in love. I'm not one for foreseeing the future on a finale but Casey ain't going out without a fight and Rich just may have got too involved with baby Cori. Shae has definitely become a rider in this series but I hope she don't lose her sanity behind the king. Good read but I wished I'd waited for the complete series because I'm sitting on edge just like them in that hospital. And Swift is unfortunately getting his Karma.

I just love Haze and Rich 💙 I like that Haze is accepting his father and his new family and his father is still letting him do his own thang without too much interference. Something about Casey I don’t like so I’m so happy that Rich didn’t tie himself down with her but still there for the baby. I hope both Deyah and the baby are okay. Glad Haze and Shay are in a good space. I need Shay to recognize a little bit more the "G" she has in Haze. I'm not ready to fully accept Haze father, but the vibe so far is okay. Rich is in love, but I feel like Candace about to Shake so Ish Up. As usual Mrs. Mills books flow right off the pages. I really tried not to read this book in 1 day, but I couldn't help it. That's just what her books do to you. Great read!! Can't wait for the next installment!!

I think mesh and Casey need to be eliminated because they are bitter women and I feel like they are going to team up to try and bring Rich down. Good read
I like this book. But I think Rich is getting a pass about wanting his cake and eating it too. He so mad at Casey about getting pregnant by someone else. But admitted that they were not in a relationship and he wasn't ready to commit. He was still doing him. Then the same thing with Candice, he saw her ex kiss her but they wasn't in relationship. Then he tells Casey they going to work on a relationship. Then say she want too much. And chill and be laid up with Candice. He giving mixed signals. Of course Casey going go crazy. Like Bruh pick a side. If he was a female character ppl would be saying he playing games. Shit kind of annoying. Haze is dope though.

Alot of moving parts here!! I love Haze! I think imma love Kaz lol. So I was originally rooting for Casey bc its something about Candice...but she need to level up so she got left behind. Rich is a stand up guy so I hope Candy girl is the real deal.. I would like to see Hazes parent get back together lol..hoping for a good outcome for Dey and baby...

Omg this book is sooo good. Haze and Rich are some bosses. Shae is just the woman to balance Haze. Rich stands by his cousin no matter what. I don't believe Case is the right woman for Rich. I think she set it up for him to get rid of her ex. We shall see. Candice is the ying to Rich yang. Love this series.

Haze doesn't want want any handout from his father, I get that, but his father has a team that is already with guns locked and loaded! His father can have any trouble go away! I love that Haze has the mindset of taking care of business and LaShae! He loves her without a doubt! Please don't let something happen to Drayah's baby!!!!! I must move to the next book!

I hope Dey and the baby are okay cause Swift and Shae gonna loose it. Case gonna be on her foolishness and Rich gonna have to eventually handle her and Mesh. Starting part 3 of this fire series.

DAMN DAMN DAMN in my Florida Evans voice 😑. This was so good but part 3 is not available on Libby yet 😫😫😫😫😫😤. Who knows how long I'll have to wait for the 3 installment🤬.
