The end of this book had my toes curling and I just had to leave another 5 stars in this series!

The beginning had a lot going on but understanding this author’s style, I believe she prefers her books fast paced and quick. This makes me advice readers to start from Book One because (though Hands Of Fate can be read as a stand-alone) it’ll be easier to understand after reading book one and understanding the history of Book Two, the towns and all the characters. Without reading book one, the beginning might leave a reader a bit confused. The second half though, makes up for it all!

Hands of fate is a full on fantasy romance. The world building was absolute, unlike in Winds Of Fate that could make readers feel it was a historical romance. I loved the map at the beginning as it made it much easier to picture the fictional world Of Eurae. I found the world building very fascinating with the unique titles the Gentry had and how wealth plays a huge role in it.

I also adored Captain Nino and Alia. Captain Nino was a competent soldier who always had every situation under control. I loved that he also had a kind, softer side that made him very human and relatable. His enduring love for Alia was so beautiful!!!! Despite being a quick book, the author was able to allow readers explore parts of his very lovable character.

Alia Loren went through so much. Four years before the book began and even after. I loved her ability to move on after hurdles and just be lovely, strong person again. She was very humble for a woman from the upper class and I loved how direct she could sometimes be concerning her feelings.

Their love was so sweet. Honestly, I started enjoying the book more during the second half and I found it so interesting that I was able to give it perfect stars.

The trip to the Capital was much much appreciated and I liked that we were able to meet the King as well as Nino’s family.

Hands of fate is for readers who love fantasy and are open to trying something unusual. However if you’re a romance lover who can swing to any genre, I believe you’ll also love this book.

A sweet end to a sweet series, it’s a bit saddening for me, However, I wish the author great luck in her writing journey! Will recommend!!!

Well damn, I fell in love with winds of fate and I've fallen deeply in love with Hands of fate. I love how the writer was so detailed with everything allowing me imagine been in the same room with all the characters.

For One I was happy to see Andrew code and Captain Nino became very best of friends. It was also good to know that Captain Nino had a back story and he wasnt just a Captain like I knew him to be in Winds of fate but rather he is a son, a brother and a brother in law because to be honest I never imagined him to have a sister.

Also Alia, I loved how brave, determined she was even when life wasn't good to her in different ways from the way her parents treated to her father forcing her to get married to an abusive husband and also to her running away and facing all kinds of challenges on the ship and also in Luctown but she still kept on fighting and in the end she got what she deserved.

Alia and captain Nino ending up together was the happiest moment for because honestly from everything they both went through in the past (especially Alia) I'm not sure anyone would try again. Their love story was a beautiful thing making me believe the saying "if it is meant to be, it'll be".

I think the most shocking scene in this book was when I found out Sergeant Tate and Lana were a thing, I mean I was in no way expecting that. To be honest I didn't really put an eye on Tate but finding out there's more to him made me more interested in his character and I love how he loves Lana (Even though it wasnt deeply emphasized but still......).

I also love how the author was able to add other events into the book not majorly centering on their love story and also loved that the author took me on a trip to the capital and getting to meet the king we've all been hearing about (so good job)

This is a wonderful novel and I hope to read more of your work in the future.

Would there be a book 3? If there will be one, I just want to say it'll be nice to have a story on sergeant Tate and Lana 😉

”It’s been a very long week without you, sweetheart,” He said against her lips as he lowered her into the bed.
“It felt like years,” She hissed against his lips.”
These two are probably the cutest couple you’ll ever read about, honestly.

Their romance was as sweet as it was intense. So many times I had butterflies in my belly from just reading about them. Too many times I was smiling and sometimes laughing. I don’t know how the author did it because their love wasn’t at all a smooth sail. They went through a lot of challenges, sometimes it seemed it wouldn’t come to an end, but this didn’t dim the beauty in their story at all.

Between her stepmother and father, and Stevin Put, I don’t know which was the more despicable villain. In the end, I was glad for Nino and how he was able to make her strong enough to fight her battles. This book encourages us to be courageous and instead of hiding from our problems, to face them with boldness and honesty. This is a very important message, I believe.

I will definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys romance with a dash of fantasy😊

“I want you to be my first lover.”
His brows furrowed. “I intend to be your only lover, Alia.”

Hands Of Fate has totally and absolutely ruined me! Wow what a tale. The start of this book had so much going on but since I’ve read book 1 about a hundred times, it was very easy for me to understand everything. Besides the author tied everything up neatly so there was no confusion. Almost everyone in Hands Of Fate had a backstory and this gave them depth and made them more relatable, even the secondary and tertiary characters.

Captain Nino was just what I hoped he would be! He was an amazing Captain and Husband and his character captivated me, snatched my whole heart!

Alia Loren was a strong character who had been through a lot but still had her light within her. She was perfect for Nino and I loved their relationship both in the flashback and in the present!

The secondary characters -Sergeant Tate, Doctor Lugard, Lana, Paul Jared, and so many more were also interesting to read about and I really liked Nino and Tate’s relationship.

I appreciate the expansion of the fictional world and how it still all felt so real. I dread/love book hangovers and I know I’ll be experiencing one with Hands Of Fate!

What a fantastic read!

Omg after reading Winds Of Fate I was quite concerned that books two (Hands Of Fate) might not live up to the expectation but I was so wrong. It was just as good and I am so impressed that the author could achieve this. These are the things I loved most:

Relationship

I loved the chemistry between Nino and Alia. I could already feel this when reading the flashbacks into their past relationship and I enjoyed those snippets so much that I wish it was a book on its own. Four years ago, they were so young and passionate and I was thrilled to see Nino in that light. Their connection was so strong and sexy and I especially loved that scene in the gazebo when he asked her to marry him. It was so sweet. Fast forward to the present time, their relationship was also toe curling. They had lots of sweet moments and I felt their connection through out the book.

Nino
Nino Pare was a really hot hero who cared a great deal for his people. I loved that he was “as kind as he was strict”. The people respected him and he always backed his words with actions. Just as Leah Code was lucky to have chosen Andrew, I think Alia was very lucky to have met Nino. He protected and loved her in a way that was so dreamy. I enjoyed the smut, especially that scene in his office *wink* and His actions in the ending had me squealing in my bed at 2am! He was a well written character for certain.

Alia
Alia Loren was my baby. She was sweet yet tough. She suffered much. I found her character very interesting to read about and so many times, she had me laughing. That time with the porridge and the incident with the chef made me howl with mirth! Besides her humor, she was also a strong character. Doesn’t matter that she was running from her past, I believe any one else would do the same if they had to endure what she had. She was definitely a light in Nino’s life.

Secondary Characters
There were so many secondary characters that I loved, starting with Sergeant Tate and Lana. I was shocked when I found out they were in a relationship to be married -And so very pleased! I also really liked Tate’s relationship with Nino and how he respected him. I was happy to see Leah again and smiled when she became the one helping Alia settle in. I also found Paul Jared and Analisa’s backstory interesting and would have liked to see more on it.

All together this was a lovely book for me and I’m buzzing for a book 3!

in the arms of a soldier, she found the strength to fight her battles...

This blurb grabbed my attention right from the very beginning when I saw it weeks ago. And boy did it play out in the book! Alia Loren was an extremely lovable character who had dealt with so much. There are times in the book when you might actually forget the horrible things she had endured because she was such a strong and bright character but she truly endured a lot. She was running from her past and to start a new life for herself and then Nino came in. He was this strong presence, a shoulder to lean upon -despite facing a number of rejections from her. He helped her face the people from her past who she was running from and it was quite a lovely ride. I love how it wasn’t just about the romance but that there were also other happenings in the town that made it well rounded. There were numerous interesting characters with heartbreaking backstories that makes the book sink it’s claws deeper into your heart. I want to commend this author for a debut series very well done!

You know that feeling you get when you finish a book and there’s just this joy in your heart? That’s exactly how reading Hands Of Fate has made me feel.

I noticed that unlike most historical romance novels, this author never has idle characters. One thing that made Alia and Nino’s relationship more interesting for me, was that they both had other things they were dedicated to. Nino, his work at the barracks, and Alia, her work at the hospital. This also introduce more characters to the book with captivating backstories.

The end was truly fulfilling as both had gone through a hard journey and deserved their perfect HEA.

Eurae, or Luctown is a fictional world that’s quite hard to leave after finishing the book and I hope I can return with a book three! I’ve seeing other reviewers speculate about a Sergeant Tate and Lana book and I wouldn’t mind at all!

5 Intensely Beautiful Stars

Hands Of Fate is an intense, gripping second chance love story. I never thought I would enjoy a second chance love story but this two deserved all the happiness in the world together. I liked how Book 1 and 2 are actually quite different but equally captivating reads. I loved both characters very much and was rooting for them through their challenges. They had lots of sweet moments that would make my toes curl and I didn’t want the book to end. I’d definitely be reading it again!

I hope this author gets the recognition she deserves as this series has been nothing short of wonderful so far😊

This summarizes most of the book for me. Alia Loren was a young lady running away from her past but she met a Captain, Nino Pare, and he was determined to make her stop running. This was a really captivating love story with lots of twists and turns. Apart from Nino and Alia, I also really liked Doctor Lugard. Though he was a secondary character, he was very mature and wise. Altogether this book was one of my favorites this year, including book one :)

Hands Of Fate was my first August read and oh, how I adored it!
This novel is a mixed genre with world building and historical romance elements. First, I want to say that I love the author’s writing style as it just draws you in and makes every event easy to understand. The characters come off the page and for me, it’s more of an experience, a trip to a new world.

I adored the hero and heroine. The Captain, Nino, was a brave, responsible, swoon worthy character. He was a protector and actually has OCD! I really loved that the author explored this a bit. Alia Loren also was an interesting character. She was so real and each of her emotion was almost palpable, I could feel them. I appreciated how she didn’t let the trials in her life completely banish her sense of humor and how she brightened the Captain’s life. I also loved when they finally came together, it was so so lovely and romantic I just wanted to see more and more of it!

They went through numerous challenges, I think more than in book 1, and I was glad to see them overcome them all. I want to commend the author for such a lovely debut series! I loved it and would love to see more from her!

Oh my God!! I got the chills so many times reading this book. It completely blew my mind, super amazing storyline, I just couldn't put it down till I finished. And it was so captivating.

Caption Nino is such an amazing character, he's definitely my favorite character in the book. His selflessness, courage and humanity is admirable. His protectiveness toward Alia was very lovely to read.

Alia won my heart immediately, her bravery and humility. I absolutely fell in love with her, her surviving in such difficult circumstances even though she was born with a silver spoon was commendable. She was so sweet yet very tough. She made me laugh so many times. And I do like that she's stubborn.

I also loved that the book had a lot going on, it was not only centered on Nino and Alia's lovestory but also had other characters and their backstories. There was Tate and Lana's love which was quite surprising. Analisa and Paul's backstory was also quite interesting. Andrew and Leah ofcourse with their twins. Their respective families and other supporting characters. The details and the whole capital gist was fantastic.

Overall, it was a lovely read and I'm definitely looking forward to your next book.

“It’s been a very long week without you, sweetheart,” He said against her lips as he lowered her into the bed.
“It felt like years,” She hissed against his lips.”

I have so many favorite quotes from this book but this one was the cutest. I love seeing big, strong men fall for their women -and Nino Pare was as big, strong, and swoon worthy as they come!

The book began at a brutally fast pace that requires every inch of your attention. After then, it slows into a considerable pace that’s just as catchy. Nino and Alia were just as interesting as Andrew and Leah but very different. The two went through a lot to be together and its actually quite unique, the situation that threatened their marriage. The side characters were all very interesting to read about and it was so nice seeing Leah Code living a life of luxury after all she went through in book 1. I’m also glad she and Alia got to be friends.

The trip to the Capital was much needed and I enjoyed reading about the different characters living there -the Jareds and the Pares, even the despicable Coreys. Alia deserved a better family! Yeah and The Queen was also a badass character!

All in all this was a wonderful read and I’m glad I could participate in the publication day read!

Reread: This time, I cried a few times. I loved this.

5 Creative Captivating Stars!

I was so happy to have been selected to receive a review copy of this book. Though I plan to get a hard copy as soon as it’s out, I just couldn’t wait to read it.

I loved Book 1 “Winds Of Fate” and was so excited for book 2. I wasn’t at all disappointed!
Both books are quite different as book one took place in Luctown while book 2 will also take readers on a trip to the infamous Capital. I was so happy that the author wanted us to explore more of the fictional world with her and like before, the descriptions were so detailed, I could easily imagine myself in every scene.

I loved Captain Nino even more in this book and the female character Alia, quickly got my love. I could feel almost every emotion she did and boy, they went through so much.

I don’t want to leave spoilers but if you loved Winds Of Fate, you definitely will enjoy Hands Of Fate! Great Job To Lucia Omonobi!!

Hands Of Fate has just put me in a reading hangover. I don’t know how I’m gonna move on from this one😍 Nino and Alia were just the most interesting couple! I already loved Captain Nino and I wondered if I would like this heroine as much as I did Book 1’s heroine (Leah) and I definitely did!

Their love was intense and I’m glad for the flash backs that made it easy to understand and connect with their love. Nino was soooo romantic and I didn’t even know such was possible in Luctown with their limited resources! He was a sharp, brave, straightforward man that just makes you feel safe. For a heroine who had been through hell, he was a solid presence for her. Alia was also sweet with just the right dose of stubbornness I like in my heroines. Together they were beautiful.

I thought Sergeant Tate and Lana were so sweet and I wished I’d gotten some extra about their relationship; I wouldn’t mind a book 3 about them at all!

I was also happy to see Andrew and Leah and how far they had come together with their twins. I was so happy for them!

I was glad for the trip to the Capital and the map that made it possible to track their progress. The queen was an interesting character as well (giving us some feminism) and I really liked Paul Jared! There’s so much more I want to say but I don’t want to leave an overly lengthy review. I loved this book and am hoping for a book 3 to make it a trilogy ☺️

I think I’ve just found my “Auto Buy” Author! I know she’s new and upcoming and I just hopes she puts more work out. I’ll buy it in a heart beat.

Before I start my review I’m just going to take a moment to sob 😭 Okay I’m good!
Hands of Fate was one of the chosen books for our LCA romance book club and I’m so glad it was chosen. We all read and enjoyed Winds Of Fate so when we learned book 2 would be out this month, we hopped on it. It was quite a wonderful experience and I think what made it more so was that we would read five chapters at a time and then stop and discuss. This made it a moment and there was so much happening to keep us enthralled.

Captain Nino was just how I hoped he would be, even more, and I was so pleased to see more of his character. To learn he was a brother, a sweet one, a son and had such a huge family. He had so much going on in his life, so many responsibilities and so many people and he handled it all like a pro, never once complaining. He was a good man, literally. This author has a knack for writing swoon-worthy male characters.

We also really liked the world building in Book 2. I thought I had seen all of it in Book 1 but I really appreciate how the author expanded it in Book 2. The class system was unique and fresh. I liked the glimpse of Eurae history Ailey Corey gave in the prologue, how it came to be and the map gave everything more perspective to me.

Alia Loren was the perfect heroine for Nino. They fit, really I can’t picture either of them with anyone else. That was how solid their connection was.

This was my August favorite. A very interesting read!

Loved Loved Loved!

Hands of fate is a fantasy romance set in the 1700s. It’s the second book in the series and the story of the Captain. The book, although being a fantasy book, has all the elements of a good historical romance. One of the reasons I really love the series, is the unique setting.

I enjoyed reading Captain Nino’s story and about all the challenges he and his love, Alia Loren, had to overcome. Alia was as sweet as she was stubborn and I just loved her so much.

I appreciated the use of flashbacks as it gave a clearer picture of their history together without being jerky. I was also glad to read about Andrew and Leah in this book, it was like reuniting with old friends!

There was more than one challenge and the villains were so hateful I just wanted to scream sometimes. In the end, it was a splendid read!

I’ll miss the series so much (secretly hoping there’s a book 3 -sergeant Tate’s book maybe?). Will recommend 100%!

A Remarkable Saga!
I was reminded by this story of something I learned many years ago, "don't jump to conclusions without getting all the information first"! Believe me, it was a hard lesson to learn.
This is something that Alia Loren needed to learn but it took her time and almost cost her the love of her life.
She has the strength and ability to survive most hardships on her own but sometimes jumps straight into a worse situation rather than sort out the existing one.
Nino Pare is the hero in this story. He is strong, honest, ethical, hardworking, diligent, loving, and oh so right as the Captain of Luctown. Not only that, but he has never stopped loving Alia.
I love this new world which Lucia Omonobi has created with all it's characters, some good and some bad, who make these stories the perfect read in which one can immerse oneself and become part of the story.
I am very happy that I was given the opportunity to do this and highly recommend this book.
I was gifted a copy and my voluntary and unbiased review is recorded above.

Oh I loved this book so much I couldn’t put it down. Nino and Alia were such a lovely couple and their love was so deep and intense. I loved everything and from the start of the book to the very end, I had my nose stuck in the book. I loved how Nino was such a strong presence for Alia and how he insisted that they faced her family and the king once and for all. Alia was also a sweet heart that would not take nonsense from anyone. She was also so very humble -that someone from the upper class would be so open to serving people as she did in the hospital was really lovely.
This is a book that emphasizes on courage and I’m glad I was able to find out about this author and read this splendid debut series.

”It stung but his traitorous, hopeless heart still loved her and his hands still wanted to protect her from Stevin Put or anyone else who wanted to hurt her. Feelings of resentment, mistreatment, desire, and love swirled in his chest and he didn’t know if he wanted to pull her into his arms or turn away from her.”

If you’re looking for a totally swoonworthy book, Hands Of Fate is the book for you. This book is filled with intriguing twists and turns and a romance that you can’t shake off. Nino and Alia are a couple that grabbed my attention quite rapidly and it was surprising because I was quite certain I wouldn’t like them as much as I liked Andrew and Leah. They had a lot of spark and passion and their romantic scenes were so dreamy.

Apart from the romance, I also really enjoyed catching up with older characters from book one. I was happy to see Andrew and Leah here again with their twins. Then Todd and Mimi, Lana, Doctor Lugard, Anna Larry, and even Lorry Temp. I truly felt like I was in the town, and even with everything going on, I was glad to be there.

This is a 5 star read for me!

“In a soldier’s arms she found the strength to fight her battles” I loved this blurb!! So creative and fitting.

Once again, I love another book from this author. I came in with much expectations and wasn’t disappointed:) Hands of Fate by Lucia Omonobi is a book with numerous elements. Overall, it’s a romance but in addition to this, it also has suspense, mystery, world building, adventure, and other interesting elements. There’s also a lot of angst.

As always with this author, the beginning was very captivating and I again appreciated the writing style that makes everything easy to read.
The use of flashbacks was much appreciated as it strengthened my connection with Nino and Alia and made me understand them better.

Nino and Alia just had this connection with each other that even four years of separation did not ruin. It was there even when they kept their distance from each other and thus was so lovely. There were also some really steamy scenes that I appreciated!

I feel a lot was going on in the first 34% of the book but since I’ve read book 1, it was easy for me to understand and keep up with the flash to the past and return to the present. After that point though, it became easier to settle into and just take in Nino and Alia’s story. And what a thrilling story it was. I feel Hands Of Fate can be divided into two books as two major events took place.

Captain Nino was such a passionate character and I loved seeing this part of him, especially towards the end. He’s loyal and just the perfect hubby for Alia. Their personalities to me really blended well and I enjoyed following them on their journey in Hands Of Fate!

A great sequel to “Winds of Fate”. Not only do we get some new characters, we have a chance to meet up with some of those from Book 1 as well. Captain Nino was a wonderful support in the previous book and I am extremely pleased that he got his own story this time. Alia has suffered through quite a bit of trauma since she last knew Nino and this second chance romance left me feeling excited to find out how they would handle things. The booked grabbed my interest from the start and just wouldn’t let go. This is a fantastic series, so don’t miss it.
I received an ARC copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This was just awesome, from the first chapter I was hooked on, seriously picturing the scenery of the story wasn't too hard, easy language to communicate to the readers, clear and concise separation of characters, character development, progression of the story was just smooth.

Alia and Nino's characters are just beautifully written, I would recommend this book to any and every reader, just marvelous works.

Oh and the epilogue when Samalia and Nino were standing on the railings of the ship, reminds me of the popular scene from Titanic when Jack and rose also stood starring into the horizon. Thank you for bringing back those memories.

NB: listening to Twenty One Pilots- Leave the city just goes well with reading the book, just happened to come across it while reading and it stuck, really sets the mood for the story

“HOF” My first read of September and I absolutely cannot say how much I enjoyed this book.
One thing that stood out for me was Alia’s growth. In the beginning we were told about how much she loved Nino and how she would be willing to give marriage another chance if it was with him. However, despite still loving him, she did not want to be dependent on him. This drew me in and it wasn’t until she started working at the nurse quarters, had her own living quarters, and knew she had found her footing, that she proceeded to marry him. Alia might have not being the strongest female character ever written but this definitely was a measure of her growth. She had suffered in the hands of men and made the decision not to fall back to any for her survival. This is a lesson I think every woman should learn. Fall in love, sure, but don’t let yourself be completely dependent on a man. If she had fallen into Nino the moment she arrived in Luctown and had let him do everything for her, I can only imagine that when she’d feared the king annulling their marriage, she wouldn’t even have had a dua on her to consider running to her father’s country home temporarily. She would have been completely lost. But her determination to be her own woman in the first half of the book had prepared her for any other life uttering event.

There are so many things I liked in the book like the other characters and the world building, but this stood out most for me. I want books to teach the present generation of young women to be independent and both book 1 and 2 of this series have done so, this certainly made them both deserving of 5⭐️

Yep, I'm hooked! I enjoyed Hands Of Fate as much as the first! I really loved Captain Nino in Winds of Fate and was so delighted to see there was a second book coming for him! I enjoyed Alia's character and thought she was perfect for Nino. Also I really love a good second chance romance so that was really fun! I'm so delighted with this series and I really hope there are many more to come!

”Why have you abandoned me in your house?” The words came out before she could stop them.
“Abandoned? Alia…”
She raised her hands to halt his words. She could do this. She could be biddable and calm.”

Oh how I loved Alia Loren! I really enjoyed that the author added lots of humorous elements into Book 2 as Book 1 was mostly a sobering read (though it wasn’t any less interesting!)

I loved the Captain and his protective side. He was responsible and selfless , actually they were both very selfless and I’m so glad that in the end they were well rewarded for this.

I wondered about the forced marriage and if it would be left to go on after the book and I was happy that was well wrapped up in the end. I didn’t want the book to finish and honestly, I’d like to appeal to the author to make her books longer haha!

If you enjoy romance , hr, and fantasy you would be pleased with this series very much!

Historical romance isn’t a genre I often read but the books in this series have definitely opened up my heart to the genre. I LOVED the MCs Nino and Alia so frigging much!

Nino Pare was this hot, steaming, sexy Captain that always had everything under control. He was smart and so protective, he made even i the reader feel safe. I like how he assured her before the battle that they would win and how he kept the promise.

Alia was also a ray of sunshine! There was this part after their wedding that she went to the barracks and asked him why he had abandoned her. Then decided to be “biddable” haha, I laughed! There were so many parts where she made me smile and some parts when my heart broke for her.

Together, I enjoyed reading about them and would definitely be giving this another read!

if you haven’t read this series, I suggest you give it a try, especially if you like romance set back in the book 1700s. You won’t regret it!

I also want to thank the author for bringing my attention to this series when she put out Hands Of Fate.

Perfect Stars For A Beautiful Read

There’s something about this author’s writing that is warm and appealing and just holds your heart. And the thing is that her books throw massive challenges at the MCs, yet it retains that warm air that makes you feel like you’re in the book with the characters or like you’re their friends. I loved Captain Nino and Alia so much. I loved their backstory and wouldn’t even mind reading an entirely different book about it. Theirs was an abiding, strong love that was refreshing and intense. The secondary characters were also very interesting to read about and most also had interesting backstories.

*I loved this book so much and hope this author gets more recognition. She’s really good!

This is a fantastic read! I loved it, from start right to the very end I was enthralled. The book takes us into a unique new world filled with memorable characters that make every page worth it. The major characters braved their challenges and very much deserved their happy ever after. I’ll definitely recommend this book!
