Rate this book
Protector Alpha and a Sunshine Girl
He's not what he seems and she's an open book.

Arnie Templeton is NIGHTWIND’s resident clown
He has a big corner office and the swagger that comes with nobody, except his bosses, having a clue what he did with his time.
But that's only part of his story.

Inherited wealth coupled with a messed up childhood almost derailed his life. And then, one day, the men in dark suits with government ID’s came calling.

Summer Warren is a Southern California girl with a big smile, joyful giggle, and a heart bigger than the state she called home. She’s strong, self-reliant, and has a life plan. But the plan changes when she meets Arnie.

Destiny brought them together.
They fell in love on a beach beneath the snow moon.
Then duty called and Arnie had to answer.
The timing could not have been worse
By the time he returned, prepared to make things right, Summer was gone.

Arnie's about to tackle the most important challenge of his life.

Falling in love with people in a story is something I love to do. To live through their thoughts, feeling and their story. Some you remember, some you don't. But here with this story? I fell head first.

Arnie was such a well developed leading man. His background is one that fascinates me endlessly. I don't want to give anything away I want you to experience him and feel him. When he meets Summer his world changes with that snarky line that comes out of her mouth. Summer gives him something he didn't know he was missing. She's the other part of his soul. It's a whirlwind, their love story. She brings joy and happiness to him.

Summer, OMG she was everything. Her exuberance for life just poured off the pages. Her love of life and her innocence made her appealing and as a reader I want that. She's relatable and you can envision having someone like that in your life. She's also not a pushover. Her strength of character showed as the story moved. When she's left alone and you see the struggle, doubts she has you are silently encouraging her to hold on.

Watching them together brings a smile to your face. You feel it, the love they have. It's a connection that touches you. And for me that cements it. If you can still feel the pull long after you've finished a book you know you have a keeper.

With the cast of secondary characters that demand attention, you are not going to be disappointed. They are well developed who enrich the story but also has you begging to have their story told.

The banter and dialogue was phenomenal.

There's a line in the book - "What's all this?" "Memories." And that's what I experience, each time I read a book by Suzanne. Memories, that stay with you long after you finish.

Just WOW - this book has it all and is right up there as one of my all time favorites. It starts out in a restaurant with the waitress making a comment about his shoes, and then him trying to leave an outrageous tip. Arnie and Summer tumble into love, even though they both feel the connection that seems to be from having connected before (past lives). When they lose each other through devious people, what happens when they finally reconnect is just pure magic. This book will make you laugh, cry and even break your heart before it puts it back together again. I loved it.

What a sweeping love story for Arnie, the guy all of Nightwind loves to mess with. And Summer... I want her to be my new BFF. They say that when an Alpha falls, he falls hard. Arnie is certainly no different. Boy did he fall flat on his face in an epic manner!
Finding Summer had giggles, laughs, tears and intrigue. I honestly can't wait to go back and read it all over again!

Finding Summer did not disappoint! If ever two people were meant to be together—it’s Arnie and Summer. I found myself rooting for them from their very first encounter.

Arnie is suave, handsome, a flirt, highly intelligent (on many levels), a jokester, loyal, caring, compassionate, and doesn’t believe in entitlement. Summer is a breath of fresh air, beautiful, has a positive nature and outlook, has never met a stranger, caring, intelligent (on many levels), compassionate, loyal, and isn’t afraid of working hard to meet her goals. She’s sweet and charming, but definitely no pushover, as Arnie discovers quickly. She’s an incredibly strong young woman.

Their road to love is filled with challenges, interference, miscommunication, physical distance, and plenty of surprises, but Arnie is one determined man when he sets his mind to finding his Summer. Both he and Summer face challenges that test their personal emotional endurance, but through it all, hope remains.

The additional characters in this book are extremely likable and draw you into the story. There’s humor and snark, a few tears, some poignant emotions, intrigue and suspense, and the dialogue is on point. And, having the opportunity to visit beloved characters from the first two books in this series—fantastic!

Arnie and Summer’s sweet story left me wanting more (beyond the fabulous epilogue) and I’m really looking forward to more books in this series. This story is wonderful and a bit fascinating. I highly recommend it!

Fixing Everything!!!

At the end of the previous book, AFTER MIDNIGHT . We've learned that Arnie had been keeping a very huge secret. It turned out that the reason he was such a teddy bear when he was around Lee's daughter was that he had a little one of his own. He just wasn't a part of his little one's life because

We get to see how Darnell "Arnie" Templeton Wanamaker met, a beautiful waitress by the name of Summer Warren and how their lives were changed forever. Someone in his family found out about his relationship with Summer and threatened the woman he loved. There were many misunderstandings between them for some time.

But with a little help from people that loved them they found their way back to each other. But not before Arnie did some good old fashion groveling. Loved the fact that Summer gave him a run for his money. Btw I really enjoyed how Summer's brother, Reed stood up for her.

The bond that grew stronger between Arnie, his brother Stan and their father, Ned was beautifully done. Catching up with old characters and meeting new ones was a great treat. I hope Stan find himself a very nice woman.

Arnie finally got his HEA despite what the enemies tried, love won in the end.

FINDING SUMMER is the third book in Suzanne Halliday NIGHTWIND series. It was fast-paced, fun and intriguing. Another mind-blowing job ny Suzanne Halliday. You guys should give this book a try! 5++++

Arnie I knew had a story to tell us. I just wasn't prepared for how amazing he was. He can be gruff, but when he mets Summer everything changes him. Summer is so vibrant and wants you to do good. I think that is why I loved this story so much.

Suzanne Halliday wrote a wonderful, witty, insta-love story full of beautiful emotions. I could not put Finding Summer down! All of the Nightwind characters bring a great deal of fun into the story. They are the kind of people that you would really like to hang out with, but they really know hire to take charge and protect their own. Summer lives life with an exuberance that is contagious. Arnie is king if the of the practical jokes. These two come together with a blinding happiness. Unfortunately a mission takes Arnie away for months. Time and complications keep him away from Summer. In the meantime, she is pregnant with his child. When they come back together, the alpha protective male comes roaring to life. Finding Summer is all about family, love, and living life to the fullest. I can’t wait for the next book in the Nightwind series!

ARC for honest review with no compensation

Finding Summer is book 3 in the Nightwind series by Suzanne Halliday and like always Ms. Halliday didn’t disappoint! Once you start, this book captivates you and there’s no putting it down...sleep is definitely overrated.

Arnie and Summer’s road to finding happiness is long and winding, ups, downs, challenges, distances, tears, laughter but somehow they endure and with a little help from their friends they find their way back to each other and their HEA!!

I have fallen in love with Arnie through 2 Nightwind books but this one puts him front and center. He is quirky and fun. But finding out his story is amazing. Summer is his equal and opposite in every way. She is a fun loving, sweet and a funny lover of life and she brings out something in Arnie that changes them both.

Arnie and Summer are so fun together you won't be able to help but smile and love them both.

Thank you Suzanne for a story that made me smile and worry and cheer!!!

Suzanne Halliday never ceases to amaze me with the characters that she brings to life. Arnie and Summer do not disappoint. Finding Summer was a roller coaster ride of emotions. Getting them to their happily ever after was exhausting, but so worth it! I loved Arnie & Summer & loved them more together. Can’t wait for the next book of the NIGHTWIND crew.

Finding Summer is a wonderfully written story about Arnie the golden boy who finds his golden girl Summer. Lots of sexy sexy love with tons of shenanigans and obstacles. Events that cannot be ignored with unwanted commitment find Arnie at a crossroads. Summer also finds her crossroads with her life......literally! So many challenges for the couple make their HEA worth the read. I may have slapped my forehead at least six times to include sniffles. Laughing is guaranteed! I love reading Suzanne Halliday stories because she takes you on a journey beginning and ending with your heart ❤on your sleeve. I cannot wait for Milo and Jade's story in the next installment. Squeeee!

Finding Summer book 3 in Suzanne Halliday's Nightwind series is a big book with a big guy and a girl with an even bigger heart. The story of Arnie and Summer stirs a lot of feelings. Their story is sweet. You can't help falling for both of them. The crew of characters that go along with them is are hoot that just make the book more enjoyable.

Like always, Suzanne doesn't disappoint. Finding Summer is filled with her snarky sayings and comments. You laugh, tear up and fall in love. Sit back and enjoy!

If you haven't read the first two books of the series, Before Dawn and After Midnight, you are missing out!

Outstanding 10🌟🌟🌟🌟

This book is absolutely glorious.

A chance meeting in a diner leads to a beautiful tale that is complicated.
You have their instant connection, mind body and soul that feels right to both of them. Things are going swimmingly until the 'omg this can't be happening' moment.
Will they find each other again and what will happen on the way is for you to read and find out.
I will say this is a funny romantic ball dropping read that you won't want to put down.
Summer :Kickass sassy beautiful lady.
Arnie : Viking Teddy bear with a touch of stupid for a side dressing.
There is alot going on but omg its worth it.
Destiny plays a part in all our lives.

Suzanne Halliday has blown me away once again with Finding Summer! Arnie and Summer are EV-ER-Y THING!!! Her storytelling gifts and ability to create amazing characters blows me away every time I read one of her books.

Darnell Templeton Wanamaker III (Arnie Temple to those closest to him) was born with special gifts of insight and feeling. While on a family retreat in California, he has a chance encounter with the beautiful Summer Warren. They are drawn to one another in ways that have them both clamoring for as much time together as possible. They both just know they are destined to be together. Forces outside of their control force them apart, but it's during that time that she comes to realize how strong of a woman she truly is. It will take their amazing friends and families to help them find their way back together. Once they get past the obstacles and dangers in their way, nothing will keep them apart.
Finding Summer is Book 3 of the NIGHTWIND series. It can be read as a standalone.

Wow what a story! This book overlaps with the previous book and at the end of book two we know Arnie’s been keeping a big secret. This is his and Summer’s story. What a rollercoaster of a ride this book is. I loved how they came together. Their chemistry was off the charts and the fact that they shared a similar ‘gift’ was amazing. It was like Arnie felt understood outside of his handlers. You could see the train wreck co ing tho and it didn’t disappoint. My heart literally broke for these two. Altho I was shouting at the book telling him to get his finger out and go to her as quickly as possible. That was the only part that frustrated me. Their love was so strong but Summer wasn’t a pushover despite their age differences. The side characters are such a hoot too. It was great to catch up with the rest of the team. I really hope we see more of these guys especially her brother. Hint hint Ms Halliday. Lol. Awesome book

OMG This to me was one of the best love stories I've ever read. Arnie and Summer are amazing characters, the story has everything you would want in a book. Watching their growing love, hurting when they hurt, Suzanne writing has you there every step of the way. I suck at giving reviews because I don't want to give away anything that you should read for yourself. Let's just say you need to read this, you wont be sorry.

Absolutely loved Summer & Arnie, how could you not. I was drawn in from the start as a I usually am with Suzanne’s books. So glad to finally find out what Arnie’s big secret was at the end of the previous Nightwind book. I couldn’t help but feel everything they both felt. These 2 characters were meant to find each & be together. You need to read this story, you won’t be disappointed.

What a fantastic read! This book takes you on so many different twists and turns you may need to take something for motion sickness. With Ms. Halliday's patented give and take dialog that makes Loreli and Rory Gilmore look like mutes this book is a delight to read. This story asks and answers the question, "What happens when you meet the one but life throws you a curve that keeps you apart? Can you find the other half of soul twice? And what about crazy family members being helpful and hurtful?" See age old questions! 😁
I can not recommend this fun, heartbreaking, sexy, scream out loud at the characters to get the crap together book enough.

I was charmed and just as caught up in things as Summer and Arnie at the start. These two were so stinking cute together you couldn't help but to root for them to figure things out. I did get annoyed with Arnie when he didn't do all he could to find Summer after they were torn apart. For a smart man, he was so stupid! He works for an elite agency and given the chance they all would have run to help him find his woman and he wouldn't have lost so much time with Summer and missed precious moments.

I was really worried that when Arnie did find Summer that things wouldn't go as planned and Summer would loose her most precious thing, which would be hard to come back after that. I'm happy to say that things worked out and Summer even ended up jumping in to get the bad guy.

The last part of the book was remisant of the first, Arnie and Summer getting to know each other again, spending time togther as a family and letting Summer get used to Arnie's family and just who his family was. It was a steep learning curve for her, but Summer managed with grace and is firmly living her HEA.

For the first 1/3 of the book, it's sex, sex, and more sex. I was bored out of my mind. I was skipping pages. I don't mind sex scenes but this was OTT on a constant loop. It wasn't until Chapter 13 that the meat of the story started. Then it kept my interest. That was what I based my rating on.
