About the author

Legend has it that Ty Cobb gained his love of political intrigue fiction while attending Langley High School, which borders the CIA in the Washington, D.C., suburbs. At that time, his father, Col. Tyrus W. Cobb, PhD, had been called up from his post as a Professor of Soviet Studies at the United States Military Academy, West Point, to serve under President Ronald Reagan as Special Assistant for National Security Affairs. Following Ty’s graduation from law school, he was admitted to the Bar in Nevada and California and volunteered to work for the Department of Defense Coalition Provisional Authority in Baghdad, Iraq. Upon completion of this assignment, Ty served as an Aide in the Office of the Deputy Secretary of Defense in the E Ring of the Pentagon. He was later elected to two terms in the Nevada State Legislature and currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada, with his daughter, Elizabeth where he works as an author and attorney.

In chaotic times like these, we want to believe in unlikely heroes. Pharaoh gives us just such a guy. And then it gives us a lot more.

This suspense filled thriller begins with an honest and raw look into the destructive alcohol addiction that nearly destroyed Mark, our unlikely hero. We then follow Mark’s dark journey as he comes to terms with his painful past and moves into a new life as a sober Washington D.C. insider. We follow Mark as he enters the West Wing where his recovery is put to the test on a daily basis. The heartbreaking detail of our unlikely hero’s ongoing struggle is skillfully contrasted by the colorful and entertaining cast of characters he encounters in the fast paced, trust-no-one, world of Washington politics. Pharaoh culminates in a series of action packed events with just enough harrowing plot twists to keep the pages turning late into the night.

Pharaoh gives us the unlikely hero we have been hoping to find. This unputdownable book is a must read.
